From the minute I arrived the owner couldn't have been more helpful. The room was lovely and it was a bonus to have a communal lounge with use of a fridge and washing facilities.

I pre-ordered my breakfast and time I'd like it for. Breakfast arrived, the food was good quality well cooked and piping hot when I got it - delicious. On top there was fresh fruit, tea or coffee plus some baked items.

I would definitely recommend staying here.

A pleasant stay over the Easter weekend.

The team at the B&B, including Fiona, were friendly and I was impressed by the choice for breakfast, which set me up for the day travelling around Lewis, Harris, and Scalpay.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had all of the expected amenities. Located centrally for all of the amenities and shopping in Stornoway, there is no reserved parking, however there is a parking bay around 100 yards up the road in a nearby church open during the day time. I found plentiful parking (free of charge) around 5-7 minutes walk away, so this not a problem. A lovely place and felt very safe walking at night. Lots of information available about the local area, car essential to get the best out of your time and see the stunning scenary. Tip would be a trip to Harris for \"The Golden Road.\"

Our stay here was fantastic. Within easy walking distance of Stornoway's downtown area, the staff were friendly and accomodating. We stayed in the Duplex Apartment unit and enjoyed it very much. A 2-story unit with a large bed in a loft sleeping area with a small kitchen, living area with a couch and bathroom downstairs. We enjoyed the convenience of this stay and would absolutely recommend it

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this bed and breakfast! It might be one of the best I've ever stayed in. It was impeccably clean, the staff was attentive and friendly, the breakfast was made to order and very hearty, and it was decorated beautifully with the local textiles. Very comfortable and cozy. I could have stayed much longer, and can't wait to come back!

Wonderful place

Wonderful place run by wonderful people. Extremely, helpful and friendly. It's great when you come across a place that runs a good business but treats you like a friend. Breakfast was outstanding as was the breakfast service. Unfortunately I didn't get the lad's name but young, dark haired... He's the fella. Birgitta.....what a champion.....so welcoming and friendly and really helped me put with solutions and pointed me where to pick up essentials I needed when I hastily packed all my work material in car yet stupidly forgot my bag with most of my personal essentials. 1000% recommend here if visiting Stornoway or travelling round these beautiful islands. Safe, friendly and welcoming with plenty local charm.

Stornoway Bed and Breakfast

This bed and breakfast is just minutes from the ferry dock. It is very clean and spacious. We stayed in room 9 which is across the street from the main building on the top floor. We even had a great view of the castle from our two windows. There is even a washer/dryer for guest to use. They even supplied the soap. Breakfast was delicious. They really out do themselves at this B&B. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a good sleep in the comfortable king size bed. The place is unassuming from the outside as front door is a step off the sidewalk/pavement. However, the inside has been renovated and has a separate dining room and sitting room. Very comfortable for a B&B. To find parking on side street in the afternoon was challenging as location is literally one block from centre of Stornoway. Evening parking was easier. Really liked the convenience of not needing to drive and walk to shops, restaurants and harbour.

Amazing B&B in the centre of Stornoway

Wonderful b&b in the centre of Stornaway, where we stayed 3 nights. Hosts were amazing and allowed us to amend the stay after a ferry cancellation.
Rooms are immaculate, large and well appointed. Really comfy bed, 2 chairs and lovely Harris Tweed firnishings. Full size kettle, with tea, coffee and biscuits.
Good shower and lovely hot water.
We had full breakfast the first morning. It was huge and we couldn't finish it. We had porridge and toast the next 2 mornings, with a range of fruit, fresh cakes, oatcakes, yoghurt and cereal available.
Brigitta welcomed us each morning and was happy to help any way.
We stayed in room no. 7, which is actually in a separate building to the breakfast room and reception. The beauty of this was a surprise fully fitted kitchen and lounge area which we had full access to. Very handy to bring back a takeaway on the first evening and be able to eat at a table.
Fabulous stay and we will return to explore more of the Outer Hebrides.
Only minor issue is that all the bedrooms are upstairs and there are no lifts. I knew this when booking though. Luckily we only one flight of stairs and my husband is happy to carry our stuff.
The business own several buildings and our room was in a different property to the main B&B where breakfast is served. Unexpected, but did not cause any problems.

This property has an annex where we stayed. The rooms were cute, comfortable, and quiet. There was a living/dining/kitchen area across the hall that had a nicely stocked pantry area and a full kitchen with cooktop, oven, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. A terrible storm blew in and we were able to make a complete dinner and stayed in having a ball. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was fresh, high quality, and delicious. All the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely stay there again and recommend it to anyone going to Stornoway. It’s located very well and only about a 3 minute drive to the ferry terminal.

My husband and I had an incredible stay! Graham and Rachel were excellent hosts and very accommodating. They went over and above to provide comfort and ease for my husband and I. The room was spacious, clean, and was beautifully designed with accents from a local design company. It was a 4 minute drive from the ferry and everywhere in Stornoway was walkable from there. Warning: nothing is open Sundays in Stornoway.

Due to issues with Ferry had to rearrange travel at short notice arriving at 9pm and needing to get Ferry to Berneray following morning. We had little choice of accommodation but this was truly amazing find Rachel upgraded us to the flat, quiet great bed and bedding and then came in early to ensure we could have breakfast before we departed. This is truly great place to stay very and Rachel goes beyond what can be expected will definitely stay again next time we visit Stornoway.
