My stay at this timeshare, (which I thought I was booking a hotel) would have been better if I hadn't been \"bumped' from my room due to a glitch in Expedia's system. Expedia did not tell me it was a time share. The rooms do need an update, especially the AC units which were old and loud. My stay was for 8 days and no room service was provided which I hear is normal for a time share. The room did have a very small space with microwave, sink, 2 burner stovetop and fridge.

Very hard to rate this place. From convenience perspective, its amazing. Close to all shopping, dinning, ITHF. Very walkable to all. Rooms decor is old. Very old. Air-condition in our room with Air hanger was either loud or not working. Second floor is right above the bar, which does get very loud till 1am. A bit hard to find this place, and parking is available somewhat but very limited but free. Mixed feelings here. Probably will not stay here again.

Cleanliness was good. Front desk mediocre. My expensive accommodations were on second floor directly above a bar with loud music. Although I had earplugs sleep was impossible until after bar closed at 1am. Three nights without quiet for sleep was simply my worst experience with accommodations ever!

Loved the room, the amenities, location, and especially the harbor view. I regret that I didn't call ahead to make sure the sofa-bed was made up.
Biggest problem was trying to find where to check in!! Seriously, this was not easy. No signage anywhere, and the check-in area was so insignificant, again with no signage, that I didn't know I'd found it. There was nobody there!

I would not recommend this property for several reasons...

-One elevator. Went down twice on a weekend getaway and on checkout day. Poor response time on repair and no offer of assistance with luggage...and I have a heart condition. Room on sixth floor.

- Marijuana was def being used on our floor and infiltrated our room.

- Don't like beds next to suite door on main hallway. Opening under door was large and cannot see meeting fire code. Noise from floor came through walls.

-Bar on ground floor of hotel was loud at 2 am. If you're into that sort of thing, great spot. Not us.

-Manager offered credit for a nights stay but never saw it.

Not going back...period. Plenty of other locations along Themes Street.

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was right in the middle of the haps of Newport. They had free parking and the room has an absolutely incredible view. It was more like a studio apartment than a hotel room.

We really enjoyed staying at Club Wyndham on the harbor in Newport, RI. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore upper and lower Thames Street. Our room had a harbor view and it was such a beautiful view.
The front desk staff were all very nice and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We didn’t hear anyone around us or any noise from the bar under the hotel. There is a great little coffee shop (Kaffeology) in front of the hotel along with Ben and Jerry's Ice cream and Kilwins candy shop. The bar under the hotel serves food and there are two restaurants down on the corner (Oyster Bar and The Red Parrot).

Poor reservation service.

The problem with this reservation was that I booked for 4 nights. For some reason, the booking at the hotel was for 1 night, and then I would need to check-in again and change rooms for the remaining nights. I was told, I owed an additional fee upon the check-in of the first night.
When I contacted Hotels.com support, they were no help in resolving the issue. So I paid twice for my reservation through Hotels.com - for a 4 night stay, with an additional booking fee when I checked-in due to how the reservation was made, and I was not informed of the additional charges before hand.
I'm not satisfied with how Hotels.com handled the discrepancy, and will be filing a complaint. This is not fair to the consumer of your service, and seems there is a disconnect when booking accommodations.

The room and hotel overall are very accommodating and nice, but the walls and doors are PAPER THIN. We could hear every word our neighbors were saying as if they were standing right next to us, and I’m sure it was vice versa. Just not convenient for privacy or if your neighbors are up late.

The hotel is right on the heart of the waterfront action. Not sure why I had to write my car make/model etc on a little sticky pad… don’t they have a form for that? It is as busy when we checked and and staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Overall the property is nice. Maybe a bathroom redo is in order..

They pout is in a room right over the bar the first night and it was so loud until 2 am. Also, the air conditioning in the room really only cooled down the room it was in, so sleeping was not a good experience. We asked to be moved to another room, which they did accommodate, however it was still above the car and was still somewhat loud. The air conditioning in that room was the same as the other, really only cooled the room it was in. The staff was wonderful, but I will look for other accommodations the next time I go to Newport.

This room was more of a mini apartment, full kitchen with a side living room. The room was clean and the place stocked with all the little soaps and powders that make a stay convenient. I liked that there was a free laundry service available. The parking situation was a little tough on the main level but there was additional parking below. Free coffee and tea and walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Great location. Avoid any rooms on the first (200”s) floor!!! There is a bar downstairs and it is LOUD (wake you up in the middle of the night loud). That being said the manager found us a quiet room for our second night which was very nice.

Location is key when in Newport, and this place was within walking distance to so many great restaurants, the harbor, and shops.
Also basically it was like a furnished 1 bedroom apartment .
Refrigerator, toaster, blender, cutlery, plates, coffee pot.
Bring your own milk for coffee, some snacks and libations and you will be all set!

Amazing hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, we could walk to pretty much anything we needed (activity, restaurants, shopping), and what we couldn’t walk to was only a short drive. Free parking was a huge plus at the hotel! We had a beautiful waterfront view, and so much space in the room- separate living room with floor to ceiling windows looking at the bay, fully stocked kitchen and two room bathroom, in addition to a king sized bed/bedroom.

It’s in a great location, right in the middle of everything. In terms of my room though, I don’t think the walls were thicker then a piece of paper. I could hear every conversation in the hallways and the rooms on either side, could even hear the people snoring and going to the bathroom. That being said the place was clean and the staff was nice too.

Great location on Thames St. Very walkable, which makes it super convenient. We were blessed with mild weather for Christmas/New Year week, so that made the location even better, as we could leave our car and walk practically everywhere.We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Just before we checked out, I discovered our car was blocked in by a work van. The front desk staff person went out of his way to help me figure out who the culprit was and get the van moved in just a few minutes. We will certainly go back again.

Location was great and staff at check in and check out were friendly.
There was hair in the bed and the room was a bit dingy.
We were placed right above a bar which was extremely loud and stayed open until 1am. I find this interesting since when I booked the hotel, I noted one of the guests is a 14 year old. After the bar let out other guests were very loud and I finally had to knock on their door at 2am and ask them to keep it down. It was such a miserable night, we left after just the one night (we paid for two nights).

What a great little hotel. Totally convenient, just park your car and go (parking is included with your stay which is hard to find). The room far exceeded our expectations, staff was friendly and there is a fun bar/restaurant on the ground level where we enjoyed a nightcap and a few games of pool before turning in for the night. The location is perfect, just steps away from the downtown harbor. The view is the best there is ..... The casement windows could open up more to air the room but otherwise, the living space, the kitchenette, and the bed area are very functional and right-sized. Good value for money, too .....

Wonderful location in Newport!

Location was perfect! Within walking distance to the town, restaurants, shopping etc. Harbor view room was awesome and bed was very comfortable. Be careful not to get the room over the bar (2nd floor) unless you want to be up until 2:00. They moved us to the 3rd floor and that was MUCH better. People were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nice having a full kitchen.
