Very disappointed TV in our suite didn’t work called for tech he couldn’t fix it. The beds are very lumpy n uncomfortable. Plus a dog in adjoining room kept barking for several hours. Will not stay there again . Very expensive not worth it !

The staff was friendly, the bathroom in our room wasn't very clean, the hot tub was broken, the lazy river was a fun but the water was a bit cold and the air was cold so we didn't stay as long in the pool as usual because we got uncomfortably cold.

The room was filthy. Floors were sticky, bedding looked unwashed. The pool area is run down. We also ended up getting bed bugs from this place. When I called and spoke to someone about it they just said they would talk to management and hung up on me. The service is absolutely terrible here. This was not worth the money I paid at all. I'm extremely disappointed and the management there should be ashamed of themselves.

I called for an early check-in and was told to arrive at noon. I was there at noon but told no room was available until between 1 & 2. The rooms were dirty. The floors were covered in sand. Very limited real food options on-site and close by. We did not use the waterpark. It appeared dirty and cold from the outside. I've stayed here before, but it was a brief stay for an event. I would not go back.

This was not a fun stay at all. The pools were cold the wave pool wasn’t on the hot tub was cold or not even working. The lifeguards are not even paying attention to people swimming. The room was dirty. The owners didn’t care and very unorganized. We watched about her family walk into their room at check in and the room was already occupied. After checking in and having to provide a CC they then charged that card for a “resort” fee. We actually bought a day pass to The Great Wolf in Wisconsin Dells just to be able to swim and let our child enjoy the water. Talked with management and front desk along with the pool manager and they really don’t care about anything. She did take the video I gave of their lifeguards talking with backs to the pool area tho so she could talk with them.

Our only complaint was the waterpark was very very cold. We froze!! The water was warm but the air temp was the same as the rest of the hotel making it unbearably cold getting out of the water.

They had all the big water slides closed because they exit and renter the building. This is understandable however, they only put flaps in front of two of the 4 slides. The 2 that did not have the flaps, you could see and feel the bitter cold air just pouring into the park. We asked staff to close them off and then they only closed one of them. I feel like the heaters could not keep up with a direct portal to the outdoors. We still enjoyed the waterpark but this put a major damper on it.

Upon check in, we were given 2 room keys. No other pamphlets or information such as Wi-Fi password. Entering the room, no information on dining/wifi/bible, etc. the room phone was non-working. Had to use personal phone to call front desk for needs, had to look up hotel phone number on web as information was not in the room. There were 2 TVs, but only one remote. No coffee pot/amenities in the room. Strands of black hair found in bedding of queen beds. Pull out couch bed very uncomfortable and there was not any bedding for it in the room. Had to get from front desk…and picked up ourselves…only gave us a top sheet. Ice machine out of order, not labeled as such. Breakfast buffet was not worth the money. Foods provided were what I would expect at a free continental breakfast. Inattentive staff, long wait for food when ordering for supper: food was cold when received. Waterpark ran out of towels on multiple different occasions. Water was very cold Friday and Saturday morning. Improved Saturday evening. Hot tub water was cold until Saturday night, then was only very warm bath water. Not many lazy river tubes available. Many broken ones just sitting on floor. Big water bucket broken. Ice cream was very soft and melty when served, $4.50 for one scoop- very over priced. I could tell this hotel was once an amazing and beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately it has gone downhill, clearly appears they were bought out and not making improvements where needed. Disappointed.

We have always loved going to three bears. This time we were not impressed! The hot tub was emptied out. The other hot tub was cold. All the tubes were flat. The rooms were so dirty. Many bathrooms were out of order, the ones that worked were not working well and had no soap, paper towels, etc. the manager did not seem concerned about any of the issues. I usually always give grace but it was just thing after thing.

Neither hot tubs were working and no one was able to use the slides because they didn’t have staff to watch them. The staff they did have were fully clothed and you couldn’t tell who the lifeguards are. To top it off the place was so cold I was in a sweater and had put on a bathrobe on top of that to stay warm in the water park.

Was there last summer under the old ownership. Place was great. To be honest the new ownership has a lot of improvements to do!! Pools were cold hot tub wasn’t even as warm as a bathtub. Air was so cold kids could not be in water long. No restaurant anymore just bar food like you can get at any poolside cafe or fair . The nice thing is the location but being out in the middle of nowhere to not have a full restaurant anymore there’s nothing to eat except pizza or fried chicken from a gas station. Overall, the changes that were made honestly I believe we’re only to save money. It used to be a really nice resort. It was very disappointed.

Went for my daughter's birthday weekend winter getaway. She wanted to go to an indoor water park. The entire hotel was cold, pool water freezing, the life guards wearing winter jackets and hats, and both hot tubs shut down. The resort and stay was a big disappointment.

The room was nice - no issues there. However, the waterpark was another story…hot tub being down - I know this happens…but the air temperature in there - well, I could actually see my breath…the water actually had steam coming off of it. Lifeguards wearing winter coats and stocking caps. If I was there as a Christmas getaway with small kids - I would have been extremely disappointed as I honestly cannot fathom how there were some kids in the water…
I did not try to eat there as friends we were with waited over an hour for a fish sandwich and cheese curds (which they never received)…
So much potential - but I strongly advise to find another location if you are looking for waterpark fun…pay a little more and go to the Dells or Minneapolis….

Heating in half the building didn’t seem to be working. The pool area was freezing cold, lobby & restaurant were cold, you had to wear a sweatshirt or jacket whenever you left your room. They need more staff to help the one person running the restaurant and bar. I wish our experience could have been better for our child’s birthday weekend 1st hotel experience. We more than likely will not come back.

Rooms were dusty, dead lady bugs along door to patio, no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in bathroom, no microwave, no coffee maker in room. Hotel was a ghost town, ZERO housekeeping staff the entire weekend (confirmed by front desk worker), snack restaurant in pool area was permanently closed and was not noted on booking, bees were in the pool area (we saw a minimum of ten floating in the pools). Half the games in the arcade were out of order, the restaurant in the main hall had ONE employee working - when we tried to order pizza for lunch we were informed he (said lone worker) was the only person taking orders and making food and he had about TWENTY pizzas before our order so we couldn’t even eat at the resort the entire weekend. Snack at front are OLD, check the expiration date before eating if you order any of the severely overpriced items from there. Heat in rooms were funky, either super hot or super cold. No luggage carriers at the door off the parking ramp, poor signage on how to navigate inside the resort (elevator didn’t even list what floor each thing was on). Oh the elevator! Shakes like the heavens are opening when going up or down, terrifying.
Front desk staff we kind but frank. “We have no house keeping staff, we are doing the best we can.” Staffing issues are the worse and difficult to navigate - however it’s still your responsibility to make it right. At check out we requested a refund and were told they would call us back in a week and never did

This was our 6th stay there and it was disappointing to say the least. The pools were all super cold so you couldn’t swim, we ordered pizza and it was doughy and still raw. Way under cooked. Service wasn’t as friendly as usual. Our room didn’t have heat for 2 hours, hair all over the shower walls and no shampoo or conditioner in the bottles. Our final straw was the life guard telling my kids they could not play in the little kid area because “a wasp flew towards his face and he wasn’t letting any one on the upper area for the kids.”
This resort has always been so kind and sweet to us and our kids and this time they weren’t. We have loved this resort for 5 years straight and this stay was not acceptable.

There is no microwave in the room! There was no way of us heating up food to eat. Thank goodness for Jessica and Erica who was able to help us out since there was a microwave at the front lobby. Thank you, Erica! Thank you, Jessica, she was there again our second night stay. Also, poor Michael who was the only person staffing the restaurant! So much people and only him taking orders and running food. We waited over half an hour for wings, a slice of pizza and fries.
Ridiculous! There was plenty of life guards though, many on breaks! Water was so cold in swimming areas, hot tub wasn't even hot! There was only 1 hot tub open and again, it wasn't even hot...luke warm with freezing water running through.

Don’t waste your money. Our light switch didn’t have a cover so told me to use a pen to turn it on and off. Pool has a foot of water less. Majority of the tubes were deflated. Tube slides were shut down over half the day. Tube wouldn’t drain due to hair. They said they’d send maint. Then 2 days later said oh maint can’t go in your room. Even tho they said the light switch was unsafe. Said there would be breakfast but never open Saturday. Pool said 9 but they said to try at 10.

We nooked through this app but there was a switch up with our room. They were able to switch us to the room we needed. The addition of a few slot machines was a nice surprise as well. The indoor water park was nice, and great for kids. Although, it does need a cleaning. Dirt in the water and on the bottom of the pool. Room was spacious and bathroom was decent size. Shower was equipped with the soap, shampoo, and conditioner bottles, however ours were empty and the front desk did not have replacements, but the front lobby had small bottles of soap and shampoo available. Arcade upstairs had several broken games, and it was ridiculously hot. In fact, it was warm in most areas, as if the heat was on but it was in the 80’s outside. The arcade was not enjoyable due that excessive heat. The resort has a decent location and staff were friendly.

We had a great time in the water park and would consider coming back if ever in the area again.

Have been coming for years and the last few times it's been getting bad but this time was the worst. We were here Mon-weds and even though the calendar said the outdoor pool would be open it wasn't, and yes, the weather was warm enough for it to be open. I guess they started closing both indoor and outdoor pools on Tuesdays, so we spent $300 to spend the day at Jellystone, which is always a ton of fun, but wasn't planning on going there. Ended up having to go to Tomahawk to get food because the restaurant AJ'S wasn't open and not sure if the others were. The arcade was a joke. Games weren't working and didn't give the kids the right amount of tickets they earned. The bathroom in the indoor water park didn't have paper towels and the hand dryers didn't work. It's just disappointing.

The room was clean and nicely stocked. Floors were a little dirty. Was disappointed to find out the indoor/ outdoor hot tub was not working and worse yet, they were not planning on fixing it. They also talk about lots of upgrades but all I seen was the check in desk was moved and the restaurant and pizza place was combined and it wasn't a regular restaurant but more of a snack bar. No regular menus and meals. Disappointing since there isn't much for restaurants close by. Overall it seems like this place is going down hill and the new owners don't want to put the money in to it to keep things up which in the long run will make them lose customers.

A positive shout out to David and Theresa.

The front-end manager did go above and beyond when she was finally in. The staff said they tried to call and message her, but she had no information from them which caused issues with our celebration that she fixed. Our reservation was also messed up, so we almost lost our room. Housekeeping was nice, but a translator was needed (Google is great).

The MAXIMUM depth anywhere is 4' in the water and averages between 3'-3'6\". One of the lifeguards even told me she couldn't even swim! This is definitely a little children's place.
The closest place to do anything really is Tomah, and that's a slight drive unless you rent carts.

The main few staff members were run ragged, as there was no employees available to do anything; therefore the bar was almost always closed.

PS. The resort air conditioner was broken, and the air was dead/stale. There should at least be fans used for the comfort of everyone!!!

Negatives: The hair dryer they provide in the room sparked and smoked so I called down to get it fixed. 9 hours later I returned and it still wasn't fixed so I went to the front desk and they explained that the maintenance man couldn't get in because they couldn't find the master key.

The hotel bar was closed the whole weekend, which is one of the amenities we really wanted for hanging out since it was a family reunion.

The air conditioning in the room smelled like damp basement and when I tried to turn it down the heat kicked in and smelled like something burning

The party room for the reunion was really hot, I don't think the air was working at all. Lots of sweating.

One of the hot tubs was closed in the water park due to a leak and the space was not very well lit.

Positives: pool areas had lots of lifeguards

They allowed us to use a firepit outside of the banquet room which was nice once the sun went down.

They gave us a huge banquet room and our bartender was great and the catered food was good.

Breakfast was good and good portions, but restaurant reminded me of a roller rink snack bar instead of a real restaurant.

Over all the place was run down and understaffed.

The property was very unsafe with broken fence railings my grandson almost fell 10 feet to the ground, i caught him just in time ! I have pictures of all this! The lawn was not mowed very weedy and could not exit the back basement door due to weeds being so tall. Mold in the bottom level and made me sick .

We ultimately enjoyed our time, however if we were to go back prior to any updates we would do things differently. There was only one restaurant open and it was SLOW. Even if we were the only family ordering it took over an hour to get our food. Didn’t matter what time of day or what we ordered. It was quite mind boggling how scrambled eggs and a waffle could take that long?! So if we stayed again we would make sure we brought things for some breakfasts and lunches. It was a bummer the outdoor food wasn’t open as we spent a good chunk of our time there. Again, if we were to be back we would bring more food/snacks for pool time. We ate out for dinner all 3 nights we were there (The Pines right down the road was awesome!). Both pools are nice and the kids loved them. But they couldn’t use the basketball hoops in the outdoor pool because they were so rusted they might break. Indoor waterpark the only issue was tubes, by the afternoon you would be hard pressed to find one inflated enough to use. I understand they are short staffed but should have someone walking around during the day to reinflate them. When we got to our room the mini fridge was leaking and the floor was wet in front of it. The front desk gave us towels and said maintenance wouldn’t be in until the next day. Mini golf was fun but $10/person each time is a lot if you are staying! Should have a deal of some sort, unlimited golf for $X. Staff was friendly! Live music was fun on Friday night!

The resort was nice for an overnight visit however I feel like there couls be some updates made throughout to include expanding and updating the outside Waterpark. Online it seemed bigger and it could use some sprucing up. The mini golf should be included with room. The whole mini golf area needs revamping. The rooms were ok but they could include coffee pot and also could use cleaning under and behind furniture. Overall it was a nice overnight getaway.

Revived wrong room (paid for a bunk suite revived 2 queen basic room), was told there was no way to give a refund since the manager wasn’t there. Then the water parks all state no carry ins, and per their website lists all kind of restaurants so that you can just stay in, but nothing is open. And coolers are cleaned out so no plans to open either. The next day, we walk down for breakfast around 8am, and it’s all dark. Many others standing around too, no one at the front desk. Then finally a worker comes around and goes oh we’re suppose to open at 6:30am but no chefs showed up today so you can travel to the next town over for breakfast instead. 24 mins each way mind you. Outdoor pool (90 degrees while we were here) is only open until 5om. Indoor pool felt clean, outdoor pool had a lot of leaves, bugs, and dirt on the bottom. The lifeguard station when walking into waterpark area handed us dirty towels folded, when asked why are they wet so goes whoops and yells for someone else to grab towels of the clean rack in the back, gross. I give it 6 months and the waterpark if falling apart too since they can’t seem to keep staff with the new ownership. This was our first trip here, we were very excited and let down. Will drive the extra 45 mins to the dells next time.

The staff have been great!! The kids and ourselves had a great time. However, the pool was dirty with old sand and leaves, the room is/was filthy with food on the floors, something running down the walls, lots of hair in the shower, garbage on the bathroom floor and carboard trash covering the bath tub drain. The king bed is sitting on 2x4s that are sticking out every which way and gave me a good scratch on my back calf. The microwave does not work and the chain/bar lock looks like it has been kicked in, completely ripped out of the wall. The resurant is closed cuz the over was over heating so they shut all food and drinks/bar down for thenight when there is no food close. Super disappointed in our stay, will be hard to come back again.

The water park was clean and the staff was very helpful during check in and check out .
The deepest part of the water in any area was I believe 4 ft so this is a great resort to stay at if you have smaller children . The hot tub was big and had a waterfall for decorative purposes.
My family went out to eat so we didn’t use the resort for food but did need silverware and was able to barrow some from the friendly bartender on the first floor. The bar was clean and quiet.
I was very satisfied with the customer service and up keep of the resort . Affordable and quality I will recommend 3 bears in the current state it is in to other family’s.

Tub clogged after calling on it no one came to fix.. pull out couch sheet was dirty no linens to put on bed or pillow.. water park closed at 1 PM…wave pool wasn’t on/working… supposed to stay two nights only stayed one.. no one offered a discount or money back and they even made us pay our $89 extra that my Expedia account didn’t cover…

We stayed at Three Bears 2 years ago and I would have given it a 0/5 stars then. It’s now under new management and ownership and was so much better. The rooms were updated. The only issue was the water park didn’t have every pool open, so that was a bummer. But that was due to maintenance issues that were being addressed so I hope they are open in the future.

The water park is perfect size for small children. Unfortunately, there is no way to reach the snack area by lift or ramp, so if you have a stroller or special needs, you have to skip the snacks.

Amazing experience from the second we arrived. While checking in, the staff offered for our kids to do a scavenger hunt in the lobby. When they were done, they gave the kids rice crispy treats! The room was nice, clean, and the beds were SO comfortable. The waterpark is absolutely perfect for our kids ages (7 and 10). They had a blast on the water slides. The only bummer was the indoor / outdoor hot tub was closed. I was really looking forward to that one, but there was another indoor hot tub, so not a huge deal. In the morning, the kids were so excited to see that the arcade was already open at 7am. A staff member also informed us that the lasermaze was free all day. Although we didn’t have the buffet, it looked amazing and was priced very reasonably. There was free coffee and a bin of fruit roll ups for the kids. Overall, the staff was extremely kind, helpful and went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. We were very impressed by three bears and will absolutely be back!!

New owners restuarants closed, had to go outside a resort to eat as 3 of 4 restuarants closed. Only one was pizza and had to wait 3 hrs to get. Staff walked out. Floats deflatted wouldnt remove and so much more. We arrived on Fri left Tuesday.

What a great stay. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice and really enjoyed the waterpark. The price for the breakfast buffet was very fair and the food was good. This isn't our first time here, and they are yet to disappoint. The staff can make or break a place like this and they've done well with their hires. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Staff was super nice. Lobby was clean. The restaurant had limited staff and only 1 cook. Wait to get food was a little long. Not many food options. The room was dirty. Hair in shower, hair still on clean bathroom towels. Mother in laws room had dirty underwear in the drawers and condoms in night stand.

Waterpark was relatively clean. There was a point in our time swimming we saw what looked like puke in the basketball pool. The kiddie area was clean and water was warm.

Would not want to stay here again. Maybe go again to swim but that’s it.

Pretty nice place but issues with A/C. Arcade was very hot and humid, did not seem to have A/C running. Family had rented villas and one had broken A/C and the other did not work well. Rooms in the lodge had been updated with laminate flooring instead of carpet since we last stayed there and was nice.

It was not as great as we hoped it would be.

We booked for two rooms thru Hotels.com but when we went to check in, the hotel was told one resorvation, so they only had one room. The manager, Teresa and her assistant, Hunter were very nice and helpful and got a second room ready for us. The room with the balcony was nice but the other room, was disgusting. When my brother and sister-in-law went to tuck their granddaughters in, there was curly black hair in both of the beds. They gave her clean sheets and said here, you can make the bed. Then in the morning, she went to take a shower and the tub wouldn't drain. Next we decided to go to their restaurant for breakfast just because it was convenient. There was one girl hosting, waitressing and bussing tables. We were the second table to come in and had to wait over a hour for our food which was not that good. They only offer 5 items on the menu and nun off it was that hard to make. (Pancakes, eggs with bacon and sausage and potato pancakes, breakfast quasadia, croissant sandwich, or corned beef hash which was not corned beef hash. It was hash browns with strings of corned beef laying on it.) It is really to bad because this is a beautiful place and has a lot of potential. Just needs better management.

Nice that the rooms have been updated but cleaning could be better so we dont find clumps of dark hairs below the sink when were both blondes. The i door/ourdoor hot tub was disgusting with dirt all along the floor. The ourside jets did not work. Clearly the tile and rock areas that are missing or cracked need to be replaced. Great service at the front desk and pub.

The property needs updates .. the pool and water park is nice and very toddler friendly but the VILLAS are disgusting we may try the hotel sometime but I spent $800 on a villa and it was disgusting the floor was very dirty our feet turned black from walking from the front to the bathroom area the beds are very uncomfortable feels like you are sleeping on a box spring only and the linens had stains and smell to them the whirlpool tub was disgusting I filled the tub and emptied it before getting in and it had dead skin and like black sludge come out of it and the kitchen was gross there was grease all over the stove and oven was smoking .. the blinds had food all over them and the couches had a terrible odor .. definitely needs better house keeping and more educated staff .. no one knew anything we were checked in late .. check in time was 4 we didn’t get in til 5 due to hosue keeping there were no golf carts left and NO TOWELS for the pool area and it was not even BUSY ! we saw maybe 10 people in the pool area this hotel and resort could be SO MUCH BETTER if they had more staffing and better house keeping ! Or maybe pay your employees more so they do a better job ?!

Everything was really nice. The only things we had an issue with were the staff at the snack shack was not good. You do not offer decaf cafee and when I asked the woman at the cafe was rude and we could not get towels at the outdoor water park. But otherwise the stay was lovely.
