Sanitation is a problem. We found two cockroaches in the room - one in the bathroom and one crawling on the bed when we are sleeping. There are ants on the table as well.

Please revamp and purchase new towels.

Other than spacious, i think the hotel got to renovate; the toilets are so chipped, iron railings loose, towels grey, bedsheets smells. It is more like a motel than hotel.

Love this place! The room is spacious, and the bathroom is very nice. They served good /varieties for breakfast buffet. We stay for business purposes, the place is located on the busy main road of Klang Lama, close to shopping mall (midvalley) but it is okay since we did not drive.. overall, good hotel and would come again

Although the hotel's staff were friendly and helpful, its cleanliness and general physical condition left much to be desired.

Upon checking into the room, a used cotton bud was found atop the television set, and a layer of dust on the switchboard behind the beds. Housekeeping next morning also missed a tiny (albeit noticeable) ball of thread in the middle of the room. The level of regard shown for cleanliness in this place was therefore, tellingly poor.

What's worse was the cafe at which breakfast was served. There, certain corners were littered with food scraps and many tables were left uncleared in spite of available wait staff being nearby (specifically on 24 Nov 2019). A rat was also seen scurrying into the kitchen from the dining area (and back!) on one of the mornings, triggering a somewhat tepid explanation from one of the staff: the rat might have been stirred up by the ongoing renovation works around the hotel.

I had fond memories from 20 years back staying at The Pearl, but am sorely disappointed at the sorry state the hotel has fallen into. The Management ought to seriously examine how a once-gleaning establishment has become no better than a roadside motel, and take steps to clean up the hotel, and its act.

The locality is near to express way and it is easy to get there and get out of KL. The hotel is surrounded with many eatery. The only set back is that it does not have big shopping centre around and need to travel a distance downtown.

Once again the hot water wasn't working well. Water was lukewarm and early morning there was no hotwater. I always stay there because they have a bathtub in their rooms but after staying twice in 2 weeks, quite disappointed.

Wont be staying there again next week.

Just about the worst place I have ever stayed. The room in the photo on the left has always been the room I expected as it was the the one always shown to me. The room I was give was nothing at all like was I was let to believe I was getting. The breakfast food was of poor quality and no variety the same food every day to the point where I had to complain about the food quality and presentation. Access to the executive club was OK if you got there at least 30min before closing as every day it was packed up 20mn before they shut.

The first room that I checked into had no toilet paper, toilet didn't flush properly, phone didn't work, safe didn't work, the room smelled of cigarette even though I requested for a non-smoking room. Then I went downstairs to get a coffee but I couldn't get back to my room because the door wouldn't open.

I'm disappointed because the housekeeping never check the room before we check in for the toiletries'.

The toliet looks old and dirty. As the toliet floor is not equip with non-slip tiles, my two girls had fell during our stay. There is no face and floor towel provided in the room. Safe box is not working.

Deposit Beware

I was asked to place a 200 Malaysian Dollars deposit and informed on the date I check out I will have the deposit returned subject to charges outstanding. When I checked out the staff told me it will be held for 14 days then returned. I then spoke to the supervisor who also said the same policy until I told nowhere in the form was such a clause stated. Only then was it returned. The hotel must make it very expressly clear in the form and the staff should also have it told upfront rather than springing hidden surprises on the deposit matter when checking out. Very disappointing.

Worst hotel ever

Horrible. Called Housekeeping 5 times and till the end no Housekeeping showed up. The toilet was extremely dirty and no one came to clean. One of the worst experiences ever! Will never book this hotel again! Called to ask for an iron board which also never showed up to my room. So disappointing!

Not so great

I reserved a non-smoking room and when I checked in they gave me a smoking room. Also when I sent back to ask why, they changed me to a non-smoking room and it was better but there was still a smoking smell on and off in the room. Overall, the section of the hotel that I was in was very run down and old. They said they were renovating but I didn't see it. They have a lot of work to do to get it renewed.

Great beds and staff but noisy tour group

Our two night hotel stay was completely ruined by the extremely noisy and large tour group from China. They left their room doors open and shouted at each other from one end of the corridor to the other until very late at night - 1 am and started again at 6 am.

The hotel staff were however very helpful in sending up their security each time but it did not stop the noise. So it would be best you tell the hotel before you book with them that you do not want a room on the floor that has tour groups.

The airconditioning was noisy.

Generally clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful esp. in getting cab service.
The only negative experience was that there was dirt / rust in the kettel so I dared not boil water.

- Location - very good, attached to a Mall.

Cons: - room condition quite old.

They did not have my reservation though it's confirmed by Hotels.com. Their reservation system is not linked directly with Hotels.com. Had asked us for a deposit while they confirm with their Hq. We booked a non smoking room but was was given one with strong cigarette smell. They did change our room on our persistence. Wonder why no smoking rooms have ashtrays provided. Room need fresh paint and repairs.
Breakfast is decent with a good spread of items.

i booked for Proximity to My training, and facilities, such as gym, spa & pool.
No Gym No spa and the Pool was freezing , even on the hottest day
WiFi was the Worst i've ever experienced.
Booked with 2 breakfasts included, had to prove the breakfast allotment to the staff upon arrival.
The view was good from floor 22 but in heavy rain the window leaked, luckily we had no valuables or paper near the leak.
with the knowledge i have shared here, i would not have stayed in this hotel. and wont again.
Parkroyal KL next time. easier and better for My herbalife business

Good reason

The hotel is not near the centre of KL or near the airport so you need to have a good reason to stay in the area. The rooms, however, are clean and have been recently renovated.It offers good value to the traveler. The downside, as a European, is that I found they did not seem to have any English channels on the TV, not even CNN. The breakfast, too, is obviously catering for the Chinese/Japanese visitor, so anyone else may go hungry. On my last visit, I hit a crowd of tourists and was unable to get into the dining room at 8.00 am. The staff are pleasant and I have only marked it down as my checking out ended up with a confusion with two staff members unable to understand I had paid online. Sorted out when a senior person came on duty. There also seemed a reluctance on both my stays for the staff to order a taxi. However, I am staying there again in December - loading up my iPad with films so I do not need the room television - so my experience cannot have been so bad.
