The lodge is a quirky little place, a series of different buildings. The common room with the fireplace and pool table looked fun but was closed when we returned from dinner. Bed linen and towels all good quality and fresh, heating was good. Tired and dated buildings but we were only there for a night and fir the price it sufficed. Easy walk to town.

The Lodge is in a beautiful setting & gardens with mountain views in Warburton, a short drive from the main attractions. Sadly the building is in need of maintenance, repair and a spruce up. We stayed in a room off a shared verandah which was not ideal for privacy. The window looking onto the verandah was fixed shut and the blind unable to open.
The room was adequate and clean with a fridge, some crockery and tea/ coffee making facilities. The air conditioner was effective as it was very hot during our 2 night stay. The bathroom was fine with good quality towels but the door would not slide shut. TV reception as we understand is poor.

Its old and full of charm.
Well located within the township and settled amongst lovely gardens at a fair price.
A nice quiet place for a getaway.

a few things needed attention the bathroom door wouldnt close, the outside lights were very bright and no curtain to block out above the door or other small window. room 16 is near the hot water service and so we has the noise of this from 5.30am when people got up inthe morning. this place is good position inthe town and good value but dont expect too much . it suited our purposes but i wouldnt stay more than one night.

We loved the character of the property. We loved the shared lounge space with fireplace, piano, billiard table and games set up. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was a great place to stay while exploring the snow of Lake Mountain and Mount Baw Baw. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to return again soon.

The lodge is located within a few mins walk from the shops and the staff were very lovely and welcoming. We loved the feel of the place but admittedly found the complete lack of any sound insulation between our room and our neighbours a bit off putting. You could literally hear every step someone took in the other room. The rooms also felt a bit tired and needed a bit of TLC. Bed was very comfy though.

Yvonne (the manager) could not have been nicer & more helpful! The property itself is clearly dated but with lovely back-friendly beds, great hot showers & non-smoking throughout, very customer friendly. There's even a billiard table, chess & checkers tables for public use & a gorgeous breakfast area. Highly recommended, so much so that our family of 4 decided to stay an extra night (not our original plan)!

We had a short stay for a wedding; thank goodness it was only overnight. Yvonne was lovely but the premises were unattended until about check-in time. I think the website said 3 stars, but I would give it 1 star (for the cleanliness).

Mountain nostalgia

Some of the reviews I read had me believe this place would be just ok, but honestly, we really enjoyed staying at the Warburton Lodge. It's a cute, nostalgic kind of a place, with a bit of a mountain-side cabin feel, very peaceful, and yet quite close the main street of Warburton. It was clean and did the job, hot water only took about 30 seconds to come in, and the 'huge hill' wasn't really that big, only a few metres (I have chronic health problems, and it was completely manageable for me, although I suppose for people with severe mobility issues it might be an issue). All in all the only thing I didn't like is that the door to our room had a glass panel, with an outdoor light right outside of it, so a fair bit of light still came into the room after turning the light off, but I ended up sandwiching a towel in the top of the door as a makeshift curtain, and then slept very well, on the comfy, firm bed! We'd definitely stay here again.

It’s BAD . Would NOT stay again !

After check in the service was non existent . The room was clean but the light in the bathroom did not work and no one was in the motel to help out when I called the number on the entrance door to the motel it was connected to the office ( which was empty ) . This was during the day . The air condition did not work . We could not close the window completely - it was stuck . So apart from clean and good beds the rest is a mess . I have read all the other reviews and if you want an old hotel where stuff does not work this is your place . I feels that this place needs new management and some loving care . I would NOT stay here again
