This bldg. is owned by the Silver Mtn. resort owners, but you would never know. It is old and smells as such. The rooms were clean (despite smell and scratches) and the beds were comfortable. Check in was good. The heater in the room was broken. When we arrived the heater showed 67 however, it felt more like 85. We tried to lower it to 60 and it didn't work. It got so hot that night we actually turned it off and opened a window. We left it off all the next day and returned to still find it warm despite it being in the 30s outside. When mentioned to the front desk lady she said she would have someone look at it. That night we continued to have problems and slept between sauna hot and freezing cold. There is no housekeeping (which was OK for us as we rarely use it however, they have 1 tiny trash can under the sink for 4 people with only 1 bag. There should at least be another in the bathroom. If they are not going to have service than they need to provide more trash bags. We ended up having to stack our trash in a pile next to it.

It really is a great place to stay and Ben is amazing at his job. He was very professional to a group of grumpy travelers getting us checked in really quick. The rooms have ample space and everything was clean. We did not have to go back to the counter for anything the room was well stocked for the four of us. Thank you for a great nights rest! Oh, the bad is the breakfast is very much a “continental” breakfast. The coffee was not out even a minute before the breakfast began. Folks want their coffee… Other than breakfast it is amazing.

Although, the rooms had a coffee maker in them, the coffee drinkers thought that there should be a brewed pot of coffee in the lobby with the continental breakfast. I thought there should have been tea or hot chocolate in the rooms or out in the lobby. Not everyone drinks coffee.

The Silver Inn had excellent service and clean rooms. The Kellogg community is wonderful to visit. This property met our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again.

There are not a lot of hotel accommodations in this area and this one does have some age on it. That said, they have done a good job keeping it clean and looking fresh. There is a diner next to it that is fantastic. Parking was safe and convenient. Staff were very king and helpful.

I’m sure if they shampooed the carpets, it would cut down on the smell. Also- I think I saw a small amount of mold in the shower.

This was the scariest place I have ever stayed. I always felt unsafe. I had homeless people wandering around. My room did not have hot water, no trash liners, uncleaned sheets. I slept on top of the bed. Out side garbage was overflowing, I stayed twice here but could not bring myself to do the 3rd stay.

This stay started with messed up reservations. We needed a ground floor, 2 bed unit at silver inn. They had moved us to the 2nd floor. My father is 93 and uses a walker. They have no elevator.
We were given an upgrade to the lodge. One bed and a sofa sleeper. Sofa sleepers should be illegal. They should only be available for criminals. The staff brought a twin mattress to layer onto the bed, at my request. That did help. There is also a problem with the thermostat.

This is not a destination hotel if you care about the hotel. For the price I would stay here again. Hotel is older but updated and clean, staff was polite, parking was good, Included amenity's and breakfast are minimal but got us by for a stop on a road trip.
