Staff went over and beyond to explain to us how to get to places from the hotel, and provided a taxi directly to the port when we left. They were attentive to our dining needs, and very friendly. Our room was very clean and got housekeeping daily. Family friendly atmosphere, and the pool was very clean. We throughly enjoyed our stay here.

Disappointing experience, not worth the hype

We stayed at this 4-star hotel based on the many glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the expectations.

The first issue started with the LED strip light in the bedroom — it wouldn't turn off completely. Even when \"off\", it emitted a constant glow, which meant I needed to use an airline-style eye mask just to get some sleep. Not what you expect from a hotel.

Things got worse around 03:00 in the morning when we were abruptly woken up by a horrific smell in the room. It was strong and unbearable. We called the front desk and, to their credit, they offered us a different room. However, the night porter told us we were “very lucky” this room was available — apparently, it was a popular room. I’m not sure how feeling “lucky” at 3AM with kids and luggage is the appropriate reaction. We didn’t want to switch rooms in the middle of the night, but had no real choice.

The staff were polite, but the compensation offered was minimal — they waived the €10 tourist tax. That felt like a token gesture, not a serious acknowledgment of the disruption and discomfort we experienced. The beds are to small too.

This hotel might check the boxes on paper, but from our stay, it did not deliver 4-star performance. The small details matter — especially when they affect your ability to sleep — and the lack of proper resolution left us disappointed. Would not recommend, will not return.

I liked the resident cats! Staff at the restaurant was very friendly, and I was exceedingly hsppy with the breakfast bar. I was American tourist surprised that towels didn't include washcloths for use in the shower, and the bath towels were a foot higher than I could reach on that in-shpwer rack.

Beautiful room with double sliding doors that go out to a balcony. Great staff & excellent recommendations for restaurants. Rugs in hallways to rooms could be replaced but the room was so nice, I could overlook this. Nice pool. No washcloths provided but this must be common in Greece as another property on another island didn’t have these either.

The hotel was absolutely lovely. Our room overlooked the pool. Our bathroom was a nice size and the fridge was great to have as well. Loved the pool area….pool was great and perfect temperature. The staff were so accommodating and did everything they could to help us feel comfortable, they went over and above what I would have expected. Would stay there again if in the area.

Unfortunately our check in wasn’t the best experience. While the room itself was fine, the fact that the AC was not working was a problem. We quickly got switched out to another room that ended up having the same problem and asked for another room. The front desk manager was very bothered by our request and kept insisting we should “wait” for the AC to work but we had already waited several hours. It turns out he didn’t want to deal with us because he was dealing with other families having the same issue and unfortunately he was the only staff member left to put us all in new rooms. This hotel has an AC issue that it needs to acknowledge and address. Aside from this, we were upgraded to a new room that did have a working AC. The facilities are ok and the area is far from Athens city central. The staff overall is great and will do what they can for you. The breakfast buffet was also great and included which is a plus

Although the room was of a good standard, the restless nights with Mosquitoes was a huge issue for me. I was told they had sprayed but I was kept awake and bitten relentlessly 3 nights in a row.
The lady receptionist who checked us in was polite and allowed early check-in. However the guy who checked us out needs to learn politeness and acknowledge the customer in the first instance and not be so abrupt.

We traveled to Athens three days, we caught the local coach, cost two Euros!
There are some lovely local taverna’s, bars and restaurants, again we had great service and good food.

Not close to anything. Nice external appearance, clean room, clean grounds. Hallway carpet filthy. Staff rude and condescending. Service is horrible, no one takes orders by the pool - often. Male workers/managers stand around a do nothing while women workers do all the work. Reception staff scolded my husband for walking in wet to ask for a towel. Their stupid plan to give towels out at The front desk instead of at pool. She started yelling he should of got a towel first so I had to yell at her that his first towel got wet by the children and he needs another. If staff won’t bring it the. He needs to get it. We paid over a 1000 € while there staff can get off their butts once in awhile to work. Rude young manager was telling us we could not bring drinks to pool, but no one took our order so we had to get drinks from in room mini bar. We had to explain to him drinks were being charged to hotel and we got them there. He said we were required to drink the hotel drinks in our room. Never heard of hotel that sells you drinks but you have to drink in room????? Rude staff. I would never go back because of that alone. Go elsewhere - so many better options!

Great place to stay near Athens and to explore the

Last night after traveling around for a week. Easy to get to. Clearly fir business and leisure. Within walking distance if restaurants, shopping and ruins. Good place to stay for the night before traveling to airport in the morning and avoiding Athens traffic. Breakfast buffet was quite nice. Rooms not much of a view and parking garage was a challenge as it was steep and narrow but very convenient.

We stayed here for a night on a recent Greece road trip. It is a big hotel situated in a non-touristy area. Great underground parking. Breakfast was ok.

We were given 2 rooms for our family. 228 and 229. AC in room 228 was not working, but we ignored it. Both me and my wife woke up around 12:30 AM due to a loud banging noise that lasted 30 seconds. We both thought that there was someone banging on the door. I went out and checked and there was no one outside. The corridor lights were off and I hadn't seen anyone else on the floor.I then called the front desk after some time to report the noise. The guy at the desk told me that it must be an electrical overload and not to worry and if it happens again to call him. Sure enough it happened again after 30 minutes. So he came, opened the electrical panel and switched off a few breakers including the only working A/C. When I objected that we need at least one AC, else the rooms would be too stuffy, he put it back on and switched off some other breakers. After 30 minutes the sound happened again. He came and this time put the A/C off in the room and put it on in the other room! He said that its been a known load problem and this should fix it. We finally went to sleep at 3:30 AM.

Next morning while checking out, the reception staff was telling us that the patio door might not had been closed properly and blamed the night guy for not fixing it. No apology! Very disappointing experience.

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed it very much We are a family of 4 the rooms were comfortable we got a double room . The pool was great ! The breakfast in morning was between 7 and 10 30 was in cafe in lobby you can also have it sent to your room but there's no real way to order it with room service because it's s buffet would be nice if they had it listed on menu a certain way other than that it was great ! The menu was good but limited
not to many kids options for kids under 10 . Pizza was tasty also the chicken club . Penne with sauce was to spicy . Cheeseburger was ok . Kitchen closes at 11 30 . Roof top bar and lounge was real kool to eat and unwind nieghborhood people use it use it also which was great ! Stays open until crowd decipates . Pool opens at 8 am closes at 8 pm nieghborhood people do use pool which was ok no biggie .There is a gyro souvlaki place open 24 hrs around corner and local bars in walking distance did not get to bars but the gyro place was great ! There a kids park up street also . A lot of stray dogs after hours for that buzzed 2 o'clock in morning walk for gyro though All in all I would stay at Elefsina for sure again with no hesitation at all might be our new stop when we land before our destination and before we leave for airport . Airport 40 min away easy ride I hope this review was helpful. Enjoy your next adventure in paradise !

Will not be returning

There was nothing spectacular or exceptional about this hotel, as it was just a standard hotel in the middle of a quiet little town. The breakfast was quite good with a lot of choices, and the rooms were clean. However, the staff here are rude and unaccommodating. We asked the front desk about parking during our check in because there were no clear signs, and the lady at the front desk rudely cut me off and said that I shouldn't just be parking somewhere in the street just because someone else has parked next to me. She also laughed and told me that that's not how you drive in Europe in a very patronizing tone. The next day, we asked the front desk if there was an iron that we can borrow (I thought most hotels would have them in the rooms already, but this hotel did not), and the front desk person told me that they have laundry services where the housekeeping will have to take the clothes from me to have them iron at an additional cost. When I asked if we could just borrow an iron for a minute, he condescendingly told me \"No, we need to take your clothes to have US iron it FOR you.\" Thank you for the warm welcome and the kind lesson regarding how to drive in Europe, Elefsina Hotel. I'll remember to bring my own iron next time and make sure that I don't drive - that is, if I ever return to your hotel.

Hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate

Too remote, 30 minute taxi ride from downtown Athens No tea making facilities or iron in the room. Charge for every little thing. AC in common areas inadequate, won't be staying there again.

Very nice hotel in a city neighbourhood.

Fantastic hotel in a local neighbourhood full of culture and within a few minutes walk to restaurants and cafes. The room was clean, spacious and with a great balcony. The pool area was wonderful for lounging and having a cocktail, coffee or a light meal which was tasty and very reasonably priced. The roof top restaurant offers a great meal with a beautiful view of the city by night.

Good hotel. Neighbourhood is run down. 5 minutes by taxi from Magoula railway station. Restaurant is good but evening meal over priced. Excellent staff in reception and restaurant/bar.

Would stay again.

We stayed here two nights in order to do a day trip to Mycenae and then fly to Santorini the next day. It was the perfect location form that outside of Athens but still close to Athens airport. The rooms were clean and just roomy enough for two. The toilet was oddly high though! I'm 5'4 and could barely sit. The breakfast buffet was good, the usual - cold cuts, cheeses, but also good 4 or 5 hot selections also. Room was fairly quiet, some hallway noise could be heard, but wasn't bad enough to really interrupt my sleep. Great dessert place just across the street half a block from the hotel and a eatery about 2 blocks away too with delicious 3euro pita wraps!

Clean hotel, nice staff, marble first floor, clean pool- would prefer bigger and deeper, food and drinks a little expensive but most of this has to do with the added taxes from the third Greek bailout agreement, hotel owned by a local family, very polite staff, very good value overall, excellent air-conditioning for some of the hot days.

2 night ok stay!!! Not great

This was a last minute hotel we decided to book since we had to stay in Greece for two more nights. The hotel was ok, they have locals coming in from the outside to use the pool with there kids. That's ok but I didn't like it, I think the pool should be for the people that have rooms there. The bed was uncomfortable me and my wife couldn't sleep at all. The breakfast was good staff was good. We ate out around the neighborhood and it was so much cheaper and very good. People around there are really nice. Overall it was a ok stay, I wouldn't come back.

Good choice for families

Everything was wonderful. The family room was nice because it was two adjoining rooms. The breakfast was good. Pool was beautiful. I wish we had time to stay longer.
