Room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The property does face a semi-busy street, which does mean a bit of outside noise. But, that also means there's lots of good restaurants and grocery stores to go to, as well as close proximity to Kelvingrove Park and the university. Would stay here again!

The two twin bedroom was perfect for two travelers. The location is ideal for exploring Glasgow, and also discovering a new favorite restaurant. This was an unexpected surprise. It’s also ideal for walking around the Kelvingrove park area and university. Overall, a great deal for the location. Would recommend.

Breakfast was delicious with a range of yoghurt and fresh fruits, to a full English breakfast which was delicious. The staff were brilliant and welcoming each morning, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Our room was clean and fresh, we arrived just before 3pm and were lucky to get a free car parking space.

Reception staff were lovely too.

The family room was an excellent size, with proper beds for everyone rather than sofa beds.

The breakfast was also good and staff were very friendly, particularly at breakfast. It was also in an excellent location for events at the Hydro or SEC, and for exploring the westend of Glasgow.

We also really appreciated the availability of parking, although spaces are very limited so we were lucky to get a space.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families.

We had 4 poster room, lovely and spacious. Comfy bed. Liked the modern touches USB ports available in lamps and plugs. Good size bathroom. Plenty milks given with tea/coffee. At first couldn’t get a picture or signal on TV but managed to sort aerial.

Breakfast good selection. Would have liked some fruit but other than that staff very helpful.

Bad things first - the bed (I had a single room) was without doubt the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the pillows old flat and hard. The tea and coffee in the room are only caffeinated (they have no alternatives), and the soap and shower gel are basic.
BUT, everything was clean (furniture a little shabby) and the free car parking (on a first come first served basic) was a real treat. It’s also in a good location, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, 40 min walk to George Square and 15 mins to the fantastic Kelvingrove or Huntarian museums - the Mackintosh House is a must

That one thing though might be a deal breaker for larger persons on longer holidays. I literally could not squeeze myself through the door to the shower.

Very well placed for Glasgow's West End and also for the concert venues at the Hydro and the Armadillo. Very traditional style hotel with excellent reception staff. I didn't try the breakfast as I usually try to support local coffee shops and cafes. I was single traveller and I found the room to be a good size with a double bed. It was on the lower ground floor but there was still natural light from a window, even if the garden outside could do with a wee bit of tending. Everything that you really need for a a weekend stay. I would recommend it.

The hotel is in a great location, opposite the park. Public transport easily within walking distance. Room was very clean and tidy. Check in was fast and friendly. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was great, the food was great, the customer service was beyond that. They would always ask if you needed anything, and you were very looked after and felt welcomed. I would recommend this hotel for a multiple night stay, I only stayed 1 night. Highly recommended.

This hotel was very basic. On the plus side, we managed to get one of the few parking spaces. The room was quite hot and there were no glasses or bottled water. The hairdryer was old and sounded and smelled like it might catch fire so I gave it a miss. The staff in the breakfast room were very nice but the food was not great. Basic is the best way to describe this hotel. But it was in a good location.

Great value for a city centre hotel at the weekend. The room was spotless and in excellent condition with all the necessary facilities of tea and coffee and hairdryer. The only negative was the small TV with very tinny sound but I only needed the room to sleep in so that wasn't a big issue. The bathroom was immaculate and looked freshly decorated and everything worked perfectly.The staff on check-in and check-out were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend for a very reasonably-priced overnight in the city.

The beds are super hard and I didn’t have a good shower all week. The first day, the water pulsed hot and cold and then the power for my whole room shut off- no lights nothing. They had to set me up in the hall outside someone else’s room to dry my hair. Two other times during the week, the water just shut off partway through my shower. The only saving grace here is the people. The staff were kind and helpful and the location is great.

Beautifully clean room with kettle , tea and coffee in room . Neat and clean shower and toilet ensuite. Breakfast was superb . Full English with everything else you could think of you might want. Staff , amicable and very helpful . If there was anything amiss it would have been glasses in room, but I,m sure we could have had some had we asked. We made do with our Bacardi and coke in the the coffee mugs ; D

Yeah it was ok. Some huge amount of creaking around the hotel but it is an old building. Not quite sure why a £1 requirement was taken and won’t be refunded for almost two weeks. Not the money, just the principle. Generally good for a nights sleep.

I like this hotel. It's a homely hotel that I like to return to when I visit Glasgow.
It's clean, the beds are comfortable and the room facilities are maintained in good order.
I particularly like the Scottish clans tartan decor in the rooms, which is a welcoming touch for visitors arriving in Scotland.
Breakfast I didn't have on this visit, but in the past have found it to be good and varied.
The staff are pleasant and keen to see their visitors happy. Thank you for the very nice stay.

We booked for two nights. We weren't told until we arrived for check in that a £50 fee would be charged as a deposit. I didnt see this anywhere when booking, nor on the hotel website or in my emails. The room appeared clean but the wardrobe was broken upon arrival, and the floor felt uneven and rickity. Up and down in many places. We felt like we could fall through it at any point and it was effort to walk balanced. I ended up staying the first night with my partner in a different hotel, while my two brothers stayed in this room. The next morning they said the beds were awfully uncomfortable and checked out early, booking a different hotel for the 3 of us for our second night. The lady at reception was friendly enough but 100% none of the 3 of us would stay again.

You booked me into the wrong hotel.
I asked for the Argyle, Dunoon and when I got there by Ferry with my grandchildren it turned out you booked me into Argyle Glasgow.
We were devastated. I managed to get one night as the hotels were booked out for the Highland Games. It was a disaster and and we had to get the ferry back the next day. And miss the Games that we were looking forward to.

The location is excellent with good bus links to city centre and Braehead shopping centre. It is 5 mins walk to the Kelvingrove Museum and 15mins walk to OVO Hydro.
The single room was clean but small and a little dimly lit.
I liked that the reception area is staffed overnight.
Overall ideal for a short stay.
