Clean, cabin like room. Older furniture. No refrigerator but it was cold enough to leave food in the car. Shower was ok, no spray hose. Bed comfortable as were the pillows. Staff was GREAT! Very friendly. Had a nice cafe in the front, a restaurant for dinner and served a buffet breakfast in the morning that was good. Their fresh baked bread and banana cake was a hit. The Lamb soup at dinner was very good. I stayed for 2 nights and it was fine for my needs.

Hotel restaurant was great for dinner and had a fabulous breakfast that’s included. The room was really nice, the bed was really comfortable and had a big window that we were able to watch the Northern Lights from - the only downside is the door is old and very loud to open/close which can be disruptive if travelling with a partner who wants to sleep and you want to go outside.

This is a small and cozy hotel (motel by American standards). Everything was very clean, the staff was very attentive, and the views were excellent. We had a very tasty dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast spread was delicious. There were breads, pastries, meats, eggs, cheeses, juices and an amazing expresso machine. All was included with the room.
The location is excellent for exploring some of Iceland’s stunning views. I recommend planning on spending more than one day to explore the region.
My only complaint was it was too cloudy to see the Northern Lights… We should have stayed longer!

Great and convenient location for exploring the peninsula. Spacious and comfortable room, smallish bathroom with just one shampoo or body wash but good shower pressure. Good spot to see an aurora if one makes an appearance! They offer food all day, we had the lamb soup with toasted bread which was excellent, but the chicken noodle soup, although filling, was rather tasteless. Friendly and helpful staff.

The gentleman at the reception was very polite and took utmost care of the situation. We were very happy as he automatically upgraded us to an apartment as there were some noise complaint from previous guest. As for the apartment, it was clean with stunning scenic views. Overall, we loved our stay.

Nice small motel in good location for peninsula sight seeing. Rooms were comfortable and hotel restaurant had excellent food. Breakfast was included with a great variety of choices. Only down side was door had weight on it and slammed so in evening if resting you may hear your neighbours door as they left but it is otherwise in a quiet and remote area. Would definitely recommend

We also had dinner at the restaurant. One of the best meals in Iceland. I was just about a 2 hour ride to the airport. TV was available, but have your Prime or Netflix acct numbers available.

They have a latte machine for the morning and were nice enough to boil me some oat milk to make a latte. Probably the best coffee we had while in Iceland was here. The layout of the hotel seemed more like a motel with all units at ground floor level. The rooms are a good size, warm and comfortable, ours looked recently redecorated. Well located for getting around Snaefellsnes. The rooms are relatively simple, but large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food available is good. The breakfast was enjoyable - particularly the homemade bread. Would stay again.

Outstanding. Quiet, peaceful, and for Americans like a “motel that feels like a hotel.” There are individual doors to each room like in a motel which is perfect for a ring road trip. 100 percent of you will be driving. A bathroom that echoes it is so big. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful staff who showed me to my unit herself rather than just giving directions. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Very convenient on way to the national park.

Hotel Snaefellsnes is a nicely run hotel very convenient to a tour of Iceland. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and the staff is nice. There is an on-site restaurant that serves dinner and breakfast comes wito th your room. It was a very nice and hearty breakfast as well. They also have a bakery full of yummy treats.

The location of the hotel is ideal for anyone traveling around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The accommodations are basic, clean, quiet. Service at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is too notch. The dinner menu was fantastic. Best meal we had in Iceland. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the presentation.

We loved our short 1 night stay here. A really kind man greeted us and walked us to our room. It was very clean and was probably the most comfortable bed we had during our stay. There’s a cafe/dinner opened pretty late so you can grab coffee and something to eat reasonably late. Everyone was really friendly. Breakfast has espresso, fruits, pastries, and more!
