Our three night stay at the McConnell Inn was Perfect! This may be the most well appointed B&B we have ever been guests of. The owners ensured that we had all the comforts of home, including a yummy breakfast. We are huge fans of Historic Victorian architecture, and the McConnell Inn did not disappoint. It was a wonderful blend of lovely circa 1900 design and modern 21st century bathrooms. We also appreciated the walkability of the location to the adorable town of Green Lake and the waterfront. We will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful home with beautiful grounds. A wrap around porch with a hanging wooden bench swing for a cup of morning coffee or an evening glass of wine is divine. The house is really neat and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and arrived hot at our door each morning. Our hosts were very pleasant and gave us some ideas of places to go/things to see. The location is perfect for a quick walk to the lake or to the bars/restaurants. This is a lovely old home in beautiful Green Lake. It is fully up to code but without losing its charm. It faces the lake, and we were fortunate enough to have a lake-facing window. It is an easy walk to many cute shops and coffeehouses, and it is close to the ABA compound and Lawsonia golf course.

We loved staying at McConnell Inn! They were so welcoming! Our room was spacious with closet and drawer space and a very spacious en suite bathroom. The room has kept its original historic charm after it was updated, including with AC. The breakfasts were homemade and fantastic! Mary Jo, the owner, shares not only her freshly made baked goods and entrees but informs the guests of possible things to do in the area. The neighborhood is quiet, with walkable restaurants, parks, and shops nearby. The lake is very close also. The Thrasher Opera House, also walkable, has great choices of entertainment!

I'm Homesick for McConnell Inn
McConnell Inn is a hidden gem in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Both the inn and the town are so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The house is beautifully restored, clean, quiet. When in my room, I never heard other guests in other rooms. On the main floor is a piano with music books available. . .and a keurig, too! A cd player in the room with a selection of relaxing music. Only steps away from the lake and nice walking paths. The breakfast meals were so delicious. . .wonderful potatoes, cheesy eggs, blueberry/lemon muffins. Mary-Jo and Scott are so warm and accommodating, too! They aim to please! Upon returning to my home, I was homesick for McConnell Inn and Greenlake, WI. Thank you, Mary-Jo and Scott. I hope to visit again!!

Nice place, great location, no television in room, room was rather dark anyway, but had three light bulbs out that didn't get replaced after asking. Maybe B&B's aren't for us, but we were in town for a specific purpose, and weren't in need of direction, background or stories. Not sure how the property can improve on this, but there were a gaggle of cackling scrapbookers there who were extremely loud the whole time, early morning to late at night.

Surprise blizzard made for an interesting visit. Nice people, great service, neat rooms. If you've got to have television, you might wish to look elsewhere as only one of this B&B's rooms has one (there is a television in a common living/sitting area). Breakfast was great. Quiet and private. A great town to visit for a no stress getaway. The lake, restaurants, and the Thrasher Opera House are all within a block. Highly recommended (and I'm not a B&B fan genereally).

Mary Jo and Scott are great hosts. Nice rooms, lots of character and charm. Entire house has beautiful wood work, table games, a paino which we played and sang some of our favorite songs. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. My wife is gluten sensitive and upon finding out MaryJo adjusted the food especially for her to enjoy. There is a common frig and a TV in the parlor.

Always an enjoyable experience! Mary Jo and Scott provide an incredibly pleasurable experience, very warm and welcoming. Our favorite room the Turret, is beautifully decorated and so cozy, we love staying there when in Green Lake. Breakfast is always fabulous and over the top. This B&B is located only about 100 yards from the beautiful Green Lake. It is easily found with convenient parking. The room was nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed and Jacuzzi, very clean, and the host making breakfast was very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and at a variety of times depending on your schedule.

McConnel Inn is a gem, we found this bed and Breakfast 4 years ago and I can't get there enough. The hosts are fantastic, clean and oh so friendly! Mary-Jo and Scott are very hospitable , The Inn was Amazing , clean and Nostalgic with modern amenities. The Breakfast are home cooking at its best. Usually a website has photos of a property and they over-exaggerate. Not the McConnell Inn. They don't do it justice. The place is gorgeous! Hands down nicest place to stay in the area. Mary Jo your hostess will set you up with a phenomenal breakfast to start your day. Endless things to do in the area and bring your boat, and you may need a bigger boat the lake is deep (240 ft.)so it's a little like on the the great lakes on a tiny scale. Walking distance to everything including a swimming beach. Love this little gem of Wisconsin and can't wait to go back. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Wonderful place to stay! Very quaint and so glad we didn't stay at a hotel. Really felt like staying with family. Private bathrooms in your suite with Jacuzzi tubs. Great views of the lake and would love to stay here again soon!
