We enjoyed the cleanliness & quality of linens and mattress. Would have like a screen slider to enjoy fresh air off the balcony. Definitely need an upgrade to in-room coffee facilities. The machine is very old style and uses horrible \"filter pack\" coffee that brews like a weak tea. Have not had this type of machine in years in other hotels, which have mostly upgraded to K-cups or Nespresso. Also could use a simple hot water kettle for tea or pour over coffee. We also noted absence of gluten free dessert options in the fine dining restaurant. At the very least, every other restaurant of this type we've used over many years offers an ice cream option!

Everything was great. Very comfortable room with great view of the lake. Nice patio to see the sun come up.
Food was very good at all the restaurants.
We ate breakfast st the Oakwood. I felt bad for the waitress as she was the only one working all the tables. She did a fantastic job.

Everything was wonderful at this 4 Star lakeside hotel! The staff, the rooms, 2 pools (indoor & outdoor) 2 restaurants, 2 bars...& the view of the lake! My Birthday Dinner at the Oakwood Restaurant (at the Hotel) was one of the best meals I've had (dining out) in a very long time! I had the Crispy Skin Salmon w/Farrow & Beets. Although I was skeptical, based on the description.. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Everything from our Craft Cocktails, warm & freshly baked Rolls, Apps & Entrees were Fantastic! All 6 of us agreed!

Beautiful grounds, poor customer service

The ceiling in our room leaked when it rained. Maintenance left our ice bucket under it for the night which was fine, but when I needed to wash the clothes that were wet from the leak they charged for detergent and charged to use the washer. For a resort this nice the coffee is terrible (please do better than powdered creamer). Also it’s a small thing but every other hotel we stayed at during this trip (5 total) provided ice water in the lobby and free 24h coffee (with real creamer).

Beautiful hotel, excellent and inviting lobby/ longe/ bar area.
Room very nice, bathroom nice, sink vanity should have a bottom shelf added for towels so that you don’t take up counter space.
Next time we’ll bring our own pillows, room pillows bumpy and uncomfortable.

Luxurious Getaway

Beautiful views of Green Lake. 2 nice restaurants, one a casual bar on the water serving lunch and dinner. The other a upscale restaurant ber and breakfast. Coffee lounge was very nice. Our room was spacious with frig and microwave. Indoor pool and hottub was inviting. We want to return in summer to use the outdoor pool. Cute boutique shop too. Relaxing weekend getaway!

We haven’t stayed at the Heidel House since they renovated. Wow, big changes! The lobby, the restaurant and the rooms have all been updated. Our room was so quiet and comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. I have only two suggestions. One, most people check out and then want to get breakfast before hitting the road. We were surprised to walk up and be told they were done serving. The second suggestion is in regard to the bathroom. The shower is very slippery and the shampoo and soap products are very difficult to dispense.
Lori at the front desk was very pleasant, our waitress at the restaurant was great, as well as the bartender at Waves.

Attended the New Years Celebration. Excellent!!! Everything was top notch from the staff to the food to the room, the band, the DJ, the photo booth. Being an ex-military pilot it was impressive to see everything done perfectly on time, with extreme attention to detail. Definitely a Five Star experience. This was a wonderful time to get to the Heidel House. It was decorated wonderfully for Christmas. The fire place in the lobby was a nice touch and the outdoor fire was wonderful as well. The lake view from our room was beautiful with the lake fog rising off the warm waters. Very pleasant stay.

On the plus side, dinner and the service at Oakwood was fantastic, the room was clean and the beds were nice. It's a historic older hotel so you would expect the rooms to be small. The view was nice over the lake.
We could hear people talking in our neighboring room. The inside wooden doors were cheap and tired. For the price (about $350 per night) you would expect a better experience, but then it's Green Lake so everything is a bit pricey. Nice lobby, great bartender and great wait staff!

Front desk check in was a breeze. They accomadated my request for a lake view with balcony(which was in the WEST building...). ample parking and the Waves pub was sufficient for me. Very close to the Lawsonia Golf and several nice places in town to eat and drink.

Very relaxing environment. However, it was Noisy with the banquet hall next door especially when the party spilled out onto the balcony. For the family, If you have older kids, plan to rent a boat ahead of time to fish or water sport adequately. Golf is an option as well. Otherwise the older ones get bored quickly.

Halloween Party

We visited for the Halloween party, it was our 1st time staying here. Front desk was nice and informative. Our room was clean and spacious. However the bed was extremely hard in my opinion my boyfriend didnt mind it. Also the pillows were horrible. The service and the band at the Halloween party were great we had fun. We were disappointed there were no Halloween decorations at the party. We had heard such great things about the Halloween party from friends from previous years. Maybe next year will be better. All in all it was a good stay.
