We had a great stay!

Dylan was fantastic, his energy and attentiveness was faultless, and he was able to give recommendations of what to do around the area.

The areas to relax around the property were nice, including the pool and the hammocks. The included breakfast was wonderful - with various options to choose from. There are also options to buy lunch / dinner, and drinks and these meals were very good too!

We had a garden view condo which was large and stocked with everything required, including utensils to cook. Water pressure in the shower was good, and wifi was strong throughout the property. There was a dehumidifier in the room which was helpful and the aircon in the bedroom was strong.
The only thing that could have been improved would be to have mesh over areas that were exposed to the outside - such as over the bathroom vent and kitchen extractor, to limit any insects getting into the room.

We were able to see wildlife from the accommodation including scarlet macaws, and the accommodation was also well located - a quick drive into the centre or to the national park.

We would definitely recommend staying here.

We spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica in jaco, Manuel Antonio and uvida. This was our favorite, a hotel out of all 3 spots. Amazing views a fantastic nature feel! If you like puppies when we went, they had a very well behaved puppy named oso always made coming back to the hotel. Feel like home.

Everything was perfect here! We loved it! Stayed in the Toucan suite. The area is beautiful too. It is a hidden gem. We would go back. Our host, Dillon was so kind, efficient, and helped us with suggestions on where to go.
Also, Madeline, who checked us in was so sweet and gave us dinner suggestions that were spot on. Everyone there was just so kind. You should definitely put this place on your bucket list!!!

Small family establishment on a hillside away from the hustle and bustle of Quepos. We had a pleasant stay in our 2 bed family suite complete with kitchen and coffee making facilities (and coffee). I enjoyed waking to parrots and birdsong and enjoying a coffee on the terrace watching them before the rest of the clan woke up! Breakfast was freshly prepared to order. Would stay again.

We stayed in the toucan suite. It was a beautiful site up on the hill, but the hike up there was a little tough. Stairs were not built for an easy climb. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there were not enough of them. Our biggest disappointment was the food. The breakfast was great, but we had dinner before an excursion and it took forever to get our food. The salad was old and the rest of the food was just ok. Nothing special. They did however, discount our food somewhat when we parted our bill and explained which was satisfying. They also need some more comfortable reclining chairs at the pool as there was not much place for people to relax comfortably. Overall a nice place, but lacking in a couple of areas. It’s too bad because it wouldn’t take much to make it a much more enjoyable experience.

Staff was amazing. We needed meds and the staff arranged a delivery. Didn’t use the the pool, but it was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Room/ste was small but perfect. There were also some chairs and a table outside the door. That was nice in the early morning. Monkeys and iguanas nearby 5-10 min walk to marina and main drag. I was here for IE (may not mean a lot to most people) so I didn’t spend a ton of time in town. But all walk able. We plan to come back and stay here again

The hotel is very understaffed. The same man is doing check-in, running the bar, taking all breakfast orders, carrying breakfast to guests, doing check-out, etc. It makes for awkward prioritization, like when someone is trying to check out in a hurry and someone else needs breakfast. Also there were no light features near the showers in our suite and dark showers are creepy. The stairs inside our multi-level suite were practically a ladder, which might have been okay for our family if there were handrails, which there were not.

The staff were all friendly and responsive. The breakfast was good. The view from our porch was very nice! The biggest issue was the difficult climb to our room. It was quite steep with many steps and sloped walkways that were at times slippery when wet. Carrying luggage up and down was very tiring and challenging. We also could not get enough water pressure to feel adequately showered during our stay.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the marina and 10 minutes to town. My room was very clean, the bed and pillows were good with hot water and a small refrigerator. It also has a nice pool with a bar/ restaurant. Breakfast was good and the room was fairly priced. Depending on what room you book there are a number of stairs you have to take to get to the upper rooms. Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating to our late check in and the service was incredible. We were immediately greeted and given a map of Quepos along with the knowledge of everything that was around. Drinks were amazing and the constant wildlife present at our stay made it that much more special. The treetop canopy did have an uphill walk to get to, but it was so worth it as our room and balcony was right in front of a scarlet macaw nest. Our room was clean and beautiful! When looking for excursions, staff was incredibly knowledgeable of everything to do nearby and even booked it for us! An incredibly unique stay with above and beyond service and beauty, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Pura Vida

A hidden gem

We booked the 2-bedroom deluxe room, which turned out to be a spacious two-story place with a full kitchen. The property itself was amazing — we absolutely loved it.

We were greeted by Madeline when we arrived, and she was such a great host. She walked us through everything we needed to know about the property and answered all our questions about Quepos. She even gave us some great restaurant recommendations, which we ended up loving. Madeline truly made our stay better with her friendly demeanor and her constant willingness to help us with anything we needed. Oh and don't forget to ask Madeline about the happy hour! I recommend Mangoritas. Madeline makes great Mangoritas.

This place is definitely a hidden gem.

A gem of a stay

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Beautiful grounds with abundant wildlife and gorgeous flora. Our hosts, both Dylan and Madeline were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They made you feel like family. Our rooms were large and comfortable. Our only caution is that the property is built on a hillside so it may pose a challenge if you have difficulty walking, but you can always request a room at the main level. While we were there, we saw toucans, monkeys and macaws right on the property. A highlight for us! We also at breakfast and dinner there as well. Although the menu is small, everything was so delicious.

My wife and I had a wonderful four days at the hotel. The staff (Madeline, Dillon and Brandon) should be commended for making us feel like it was our private resort. The hotel is in an incredible setting- so close to the downtown yet it feels like you are in your own ecosystem with nature.

The pool, patio, food were all wonderful. Our suite was very unique and comfortable- just a bit dated but otherwise no issues.

We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

What’s good - property has character and feels like you’re in the jungle. Breakfast is included. Pool area is clean and refreshing.
What was challenging - no real food menu beyond pizza. The electricity went out for 4+ hours one night. The mtn top units are very steep to travel to. The connecting road was under construction so all transportation takes a bit longer. The better restaurants and beaches are always a drive away

The property was unique, built on different hills, getting to them for older people is difficult, steep stairs and slopes. For younger people it's alright. Transportation was difficult from the hotel, only option was taxi, but the closeness to the Marina made it a good option, there were several excellent restaurants so eating there was great. The staff was excellent, especially Anita, very helpful, efficient and kind. They did their to make us feel comfortable and happy.

While staff was excellent & I enjoyed the uniqueness of room layouts and close proximity to everything in/around Quepos/Manuel Antonio — this property has MANY areas for improvement. 1) The road to access the property is riddled with huge potholes. I know potholes are pretty normal in Costa Rica but these were ENORMOUS and the owners should look into re paving the road to ensure their guests don’t blow out a tire or damage an axle on a rental vehicle. 2) AC is locked at a pretty high temp and doesn’t allow guests to control the temp of the room to their liking. For any enjoyable holiday, this is a MUST being that the hotel is located in the heart of a tropical area with high heat/humidity. 3) There was a smell of raw sewage gas coming thru the bathroom & permeating the entirety of the room for our entire stay. Again, I understand there are certain limitations with Costa Rican toilets/sewage in general. But I’m also aware that this could possibly maybe solved by having P traps installed or whatever you have to do to spare guests from smelling that for their entire stay. 4) The parking lot was so small that guests were forced to double park blocking other guests from leaving or parking way outside the gate and down the hill etc. the owners need to invest in a supplemental parking area for their guests. 5) Beds were brick hard & super uncomfortable. I travel extensively & large majority of hotel beds I encounter are adequate. In this case, I got horrible sleep all 4 nights :(

Absolutely STUNNING. We saw Macaw birds as we ate breakfast!
Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were attentive.
We had to leave late on the day of our checkout and they held all our bags and gave us a shower to use when we got back from Manuel Antonio.
Pool is beautiful and the entire property is pretty.
Five minute walk to the town and a beautiful marina with live music.
Great, creative rooms with lots of space and magnificent windows overlooking the jungle.

Spent only a night at this property. Completely overpriced for the quality of experience. Shower drain was blocked, water in the WC took forever to drain after each use and for whatever reason the laundry service was not available. To their credit, the hotel staff were friendly and tried to fix things but so many things going wrong in room in a single day seems more like poor management oversight of the property.

Las Cascadas has amazing virws of the mountains behind it. We saw birds and monkeys and even deer during our stay. The marina is very conveniently located just down the hill. This hotel is on a mountain, so there are a lot of hills and stairs. If you don't mind a hike, this hotel is definitely for you. All the staff were friendly and willing to help however they could. If you have not rented a vehicle, i suggest contacting them to arrange transportation from the airport in Quepos

This property consists of a collection of very unique villas all sprinkled across the hillside. Our “honeymoon “ villa (no. 10) was arguably the nicest - it was perched at the top of the hillside and had a huge private porch to view the surrounding mountains. When we first checked in (the reception desk is also the main bar!) and hiked up to the room we were greeted by a pair of scarlet macaws that nested in plain view. They were intermittently around all three days of our stay. Shortly afterwards a band of monkeys came swinging through and actually came right onto the porch. But, be aware that the trek up to some of these cabanas are quite strenuous. It’s worth the effort, but you’ll definitely work for it.

We were hoping for an authentic Costa Rican experience and Las Cascadas delivered exactly what we were looking for. There's a lot of lush tropical scenery all around the property. My favorite part of our stay was watching the wildlife playing in the treetops around the resort and the staff. They're the kindest people we've ever met and always went above and beyond in accomdating any requests. Thank you to everyone at Las Cascadas for a beautiful getaway.

Could not recommend this hotel enough. I stayed for 5 nights in August of 2023 while I explored the area in and around Quepos. This hotel and its staff was always a joy to come back to after a long day out.

The rooms and common areas are modern and kept very clean. The hotel has great views and a lot of wildlife can be seen in the area around the hotel (scarlet macaws, capuchin monkeys, frogs, etc.)

The staff is the best part of this hotel. From the time I checked in until the time I checked out they were always hospitable and went above and beyond. Carolina and Mau were always helpful and great company to talk with while having a cocktail. The chef also prepared the yellowfin tuna I caught on a charter one day for me and it was delicious and plated amazingly.

Bottom line: this is a gem of a hotel and you should stay here if you’re visiting Quepos/Manuel Antonio.

We feel so lucky that our family of 4 found this place to stay in. From the friendly and honest service, to the cleanliness of the room (you can smell eucalyptus as soon as you walk in), to the date and attention to detail around the property, this place is a must!!!! We ordered pizza and drinks from our WhatsApp chat and it was delivered right to our cabana - yes, a private cabana right outside our room! The owner was a kindest man who helped us with honest advice and the concierge Mauri was gentle and friendly too. Our kids fell in love with the two resort dogs and couldn’t wait to see them every night. The property is stunning with so much to do and the best part - all the macaws and monkeys sitting in the trees right at the property. I can’t wait to go back! What a score!

Pros: This property provides a definite \"tropical paradise\" vibe. Elevated location gives great sunset/ocean views, waterfall/pool area is absolutely lovely. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast options and dining area were very nice.
Despite the cons below, I was very happy with the hotel.

Cons: I personally found the location a little tough, even though others praised it. It was close to Quepos, but a little too steep to consider walking, and the road in was short, but narrow and steep. Heads up on the bed...it was clearly listed as a \"double\" but we incorrectly equated that to a \"queen\" bed. OUR fault, but just be aware that's truly a double size bed only. Our room, the Nest Suite, had interesting \"tree-style\" decor. But with the small size, I wish that space had been available for walking around inside a little easier. The main window had shade curtains, but those curtains didn't cover the upper portion of the window, so it was difficult to maximize sleep with the light coming in at sunrise.

Such a memorable stay! The staff were absolutely incredible - brothers Dylan and Brandon were so attentive, polite and helpful - they did everything possible to make our trip relaxing and comfortable!! The hotel itself is very well situated, close to downtown and only a 10 minute drive from Manual Antonio (with all Taxis knowing exactly where to go). The property is surrounded by nature, and has so much character - you truly feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest. The room was comfy and private, and boasted great views. So happy to have found this gem and hope many more people get to experience the outstanding hospitality and value!

This eclectic boutique hotel feels secluded and located in the midst of a jungle, while located right in the town of Quepos.our condo was beautifully designed with the bedroom and private draped terrace opening directly upon the pool. This family run hotel provides excelllence in service while remaining unobtrusive. Breakfasts were great! Our only regret was having to limit our stay to only one night, but we’ll return for a longer stay next time.

The location was incredible! Very close to the marina down town. Our room was right up in the jungle and we had many visits from Squirrel monkeys, Capuchin monkeys, Scarlet Macaws and toucans!
The staff at the hotel were all incredible kind and helpful.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Quepos. We'd love to return!

My stay was lovely. Helpful staff, late check out option. The grounds are beautiful. Only thing I would warn is the tree top suite is quite a climb — hence the name, I suppose. I didn’t mind it, but if steep hills aren’t your thing, make sure to ask for a lower room on the property. Walkable to the marina and downtown, lots of shopping and things to see. Happy I went, would stay again.

Very clean and staff nice. Very nice around pool and restaurant area. There were barking dogs first eve. Not sure who they belonged to. Remote on tv did not work. Had to use their fire stick. Could only watch Netflix for two days.

We accidentally found this hotel and we were so lucky we did! It was convenient to the marina and downtown area. The property was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Each room is unique. Defiantly a botique hotel and j would love to go back!

The property was located about a 5 minute walk from Quepos and a 10 minute drive from Manuel Antonio yet you felt like you were truly away from it all. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was nestled amongst lovely greenery with 2 macaws that would sit in one of the trees by the pool. The cabin was lovely and very quiet. It is truly a hidden gem which I highly recommend.

Its a very picturesque small hotel with units located on slopes covered with tropical trees and flowers. You can see monkeys and exotic birds. The design of the room and the whole property is beautiful. Nice pool, good bar, a very good restaurant and a very helpful staff.

We recently got to spend a week at this lovely hotel and we’re very satisfied and grateful for the owners hospitality. The food was amazing, the staff incredibly kind and the location was perfect. I love this hotel and the staff. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. We definitely recommend this hotel for anyone vacationing in Costa Rica whether it be a pass through or a starting point on your vacation. We miss the staff already!! Thank you Gary and Catalina for a wonderful stay!!

This hotel set the standard for what a should look and feel like . It’s tucked away right outside of downtown Quepos so you have the best of both worlds . You can enjoy the local vibe but also retreat to an amazing treehouse like setting .
My wife and I enjoyed waking up without an alarm, letting the sun wake us up . Windows were large, the view can not be described with words .
Dylan and Dallas were gracious hosts. Dallas offered many suggestions on where to go and also provided great service at the bar. He was extremely friendly and fun to be around but also professional . The Tuna stack was amazing . I can’t say enough great things about this place .

The staff is most helpful. The only problem was barking dogs at night. It is very unique place in a beautiful setting. Lots of stairs though so if you have leg or foot problems it could be difficult.

Fantastic boutique hotel in amazing location. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk to the Marina and buzzing Quepos town, though some may need to use a taxi for the return trip up the steepish hill. Stunning views of rain forested hills from our room and an abundance of tropical wildlife on your doorstep. There is a lovely restaurant / bar area ( next to the decent sized pool ) that serves excellent breakfasts and pizzas daily and a selection of top notch meals several times a week. Paradise.

I loved our staying in Las Cascadas. The stuaff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us local tips, booked excursion to Manuel Antonio park and were all the time making sure our staying was comfortable.
The breakfast was nice and tasty as well. I would recommend staying here

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings

We enjoyed 4 nights at Las Cascadas. We had a lovely room which was nicely decorated and with a good size bathroom. There was also a terrace with a fridge, seating and bar area which we shared with 1 other room. The condotel as a whole is fairly small which means it is very friendly. It also has a very pleasant swimming pool which is a good place to relax at the end of the day. The staff were also very helpful and offered some good advice about places to visit in the local area. There is an excellent choice for breakfast and everything we had was freshly cooked to order. We also had dinner there one evening and were again very impressed with the quality of the food and also the cocktails. The hotel is also very well located so long as you don't mind walking up a bit of a hill. It is very close to the marina where there are lots of restaurants and is also within walking distance of Quepos.

Every unit is unique and most comfortable. It is a family owned property and all participate in making your stay delightful. The location is convenient but like an oasis on the hillside. Breakfast was delicious and they cooked it for 6 of my friends staying on a boat nearby even though it's not open to the public. I so enjoyed my stay there.

Hidden Local Gem

Our stay was overall excellent! The hotel is up the hill a bit but worth it due to the views that are offered. This is a family owned hotel which added to the value and really showed throughout our stay. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us, from helping arrange transportation to and from the airport to the service at the restaurant. We loved our visit and would highly recommend this hotel.
