We had two deluxe rooms and in one room the bathroom sliding door did not work - no staff to fix as weekend. We had stayed the previous evening and left our luggage as had to change rooms but the staff did not say there was an event happening in the town that meant to getting to the hotel was almost impossible if we had been warned could have done things differently. No space restaurant and for a family of seven with one of us with a broken foot absolutely useless in helping us find a solution. Check in staff are the first thing you come across in a hotel in this one they are dreadful.
Beds are comfy and showers were good. Can't think of anything else positive about the whole experience and sincerely hope we never have to revisit this hotel or this town.
We paid 567euros for the two rooms and no offer of a slight reduction for the door to bathroom not working - for a four star hotel the staff need lessons on how to make a customer feel valued and if this is how Best Western operate I won't be staying in another.

The check in was the worst I have ever had, we arrived early and had lunch at the hotel and were told by one person we could check in at 3pm which when we tried to were told no - come back at 4pm. we went to visit family the reason for our visit - returned to be told the room still not ready and wait in the salon which we did they would come and tell us - they didn't. No wish to help or make up for the mess of check in.
The bed was comfy our room was meant to be a river view and unless you are hanging out of the window you can't see the river. No point in complaining staff do not care one bit about customers.
Restaurant and bar staff were much more helpful.

Très bien, très propre. Le seul petit problème est la climatisation qui ne fonctionnait pas . Aussi, certains membres du personnel était extra, mais d’autres n’aimaient pas du tout leur travail et nous faisaient sentir que nous les dérangions. Le petit déjeuner se terminait à 10:00, mais à 9:45, nous sentions qu’il fallait quitter rapidement et la nourriture n’était pas renouvelée . L’emplacement est parfait ! À côté du château, bord de l’eau et en plus, une superbe piscine .

Hotel and area was nice, but the standard of housekeeping left a bit to be desired. The room hadn't been properly cleaned (evidence of dust on surfaces), and despite the booking being for 3 people we had to chase several times to get enough towels, glasses, mugs coffee etc as the room had only been stocked for 2.

Another wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Clisson. Always a treat to admire the views of the medieval castle and river. Beautiful sight of the lit castle at night from the hotel patio. Great and relaxing pool area at the hotel. The food is made with fresh seasonal ingredients, very tasty, and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed a great massage at the spa and time in the spa jaccuzi area after the massage! Cannot wait to go back...

Hotel stands on a river with a lovely view of the castle opposite. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. There is a small pool which could get a little busy at times, but was welcome in the sunshine! We had our first meal in the hotel which was very good, helpful suggestions from the wine waiter too! We took breakfast outside the hotel at a patisserie and bar, which was only a short walk away.
The only downside for us was that there was no fridge in the room. We queried this and were told that they had decided not to have a fridge running in every room as they had earned \"green key\" status (eco-friendly). The towels were only changed in left on the floor, not as in some others, every day! Having had this explained, it made sense! Might be an idea for the hotel to explain this in the rooms. Wi-Fi was good
All in all, it was a good stay. We enjoyed the town itself and found lots to see and do in the area. Felt extremely safe with all the covid precautions too.

Wonderful hotel with gorgeous terrace viewing the old castle. Great spa at the hotel. it is on a small road so it is also quiet. Food at the restau is excellent and staff very courteous. Great little town to visit close to Nantes and the airport. Loved the pool. Upgrade to the priviledge room if you can, it is not much more and the room is bigger with a nicer view. Will stay there again in the future.

The reception staff was excellent but the waiting staff were slow and disorganized (still mainly polite).

Rooms were great and this hotel is trying hard to be as sustainable as possible.

Hotel very clean, very confortable, perfect bed. Beautiful view.
Few remarks :
- temperature inside put on 23 degrees (too hot). So when your check in is very late is difficult to sleep
- Breakfast at 14,5€ per person & room service at 11€ per person, for a couple 51€ for breakfast in room (very very expensive for a simple basic breakfeast)
- Shower screen not well placed so when you take a shower (alone) the entiere bathroom is flooded. Not very ingenious

Lovely hotel and great staff

We stayed for two night and what a lovely surprise! The hotel was excellent, room was either newly refurbished or incredibly well looked after. The surrounding area was also beautiful and quaint. The only drawback was breakfast which was ok but not great. I was accidentally overcharged for 4 adult breakfasts and tourist tax when we were actually two adult and two children - however the hotel stay was so great I didn’t see the point in quibbling.

All about the view.

Secure parking and friendly staff. Quiet location but just a short walk from the centre of the lovely town. Excellent restaurant opposite the hotel entrance. Spacious room with a fantastic view from a tiny balcony. Carpet could be cleaner plus flies above the windows. Tiny bathroom. Very bright lights in the base of the balcony glass doors that stay on all night and cannot be turned off which was very annoying. Expensive lager! OK restaurant.

Lovely place to stay in Rennes

I wish that my say was longer in Rennes. The BW St. Antoine was a wonderful place: walking distance to train (although station is in the middle of a huge construction project), near museums, parks, the wonderful old city, and great restaurants. The staff were helpful and made dinner recommendations and reservations for us. We didn't have time to try the spa or pool, but they looked wonderful. The garden patio is a lovely quiet spot to visit, and the bar area is inviting.

Budget Rooms A Little Claustrophobic

Because I had to change my reservation, I stayed in two types of rooms. On the first night, I stayed in a deluxe room facing the formidable chateau. Overall, that was great except for the fact that there was a wedding and kids were running around screaming in the courtyard until midnight (seriously, I'm not a grouch, but I was wondering why no one was worried about disturbing the guests facing the courtyard?). On my next two nights, I was switched to a less expensive room facing the street, and that was kind of uncomfortable. The fixtures on the shower were impossible to figure out, wireless did not penetrate into the room, and the windows didn't open! The breakfast was fine, and the location was great. Clisson is an unbelievable place. But I think I would have preferred a homier, less corporate hotel (one where the windows open!!).

Two different hotels

Stayed twice in a week on the way to / from Bordeaux. First stay was lovely in a Superior room which seemed newly decorated and was clean with plenty of space.

For my second stay I had also booked a Superior Room but the room was like a different hotel! The room was small and the carpet was so disgusting I couldn't walk on it in bare feet.

Intimate luxury hotel in charming Loire village

Warm welcome by excellent team. My room was really nice with fabulous rain shower and view of river. The restaurant is a high standard, yet relaxed and with friendly staff. I stayed an extra night as I felt so comfortable at this hotel. The enabled me to enjoy a massage at the hotel's spa just over road which was superbly relaxing.

Great location on the river

We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We stayed for 3 nights in one of the attic rooms. These are spacious, with plenty of room and views of the river and castle. The room was very clean, had a large bathroom and air con.The hotel has secure parking about 30m away which is a bonus in a small village. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants locally, but it looked very good and was always pretty full at lunch and dinner. There is a large terrace to sit and eat or have a drink and this was lovely to do in the sun, looking over the river towards the castle. There is also a spa and small outdoor pool. The whole hotel looks like it has been refurbished in the last few months.

Modern hotel opposite the Castle

This newly refurbished hotel is rather characterless (white and grey scheme with no colours). Next to the river in the centre of town and opposite the Castle, the position is stunning. It's worth paying for a balcony facing the Castle. The buffet breakfast has plenty of choice and is unlimited in quantity. The formule dinner menu is good quality.

Amazing location and great river view rooms!

Upon arrival the keycard was ready. The staff were helpful with our enquiries. The river view rooms are worth the extra money, not just because they have the views, but because they are bigger. We ate at the restaurant too which handily is one of the top restaurants in town. Our food was excellent. The lift was quick and always working. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Clisson was a lovely town.

Stopover on the way to Bordeaux

We chose this hotel to stay at for one night on the way to Bordeaux. Clisson is a small town and this hotel seems strangely large in comparison. However, it's modern inside and very clean. We stayed in a room that has a balcony overlooking the river and castle which was a welcome sight when we drew the curtains. The restaurant was good value and the bar staff were every friendly and helpful in recommending some local Muscadet wines for us to try.

Great riverside boutique hotel

My arrival was stressful as the roads were closed, so it took me half an hour to find it, then there was no parking space. However, the restaurant and bar staff were really friendly and soon helped me relax. My room was lovely and the en suite wet room spacious. The quality and service of the food in the restaurant was excellent. My only criticism is that I was a bit cold overnight and there was no spare blanket to use in my room. Unfortunately there were party goers staying at the hotel and dining there which meant that I was woken up numerous times between midnight and 2 am as they went to bed as they were very noisy.

What a fabulous town and wonderful hotel. Clean comfortable and chic. Excellent service. Great pool lovely views. Couldn't recommend more highly. Used as a stop over driving back from Bordeux to Caen. Wished we had been able to stay longer. Booked a family room and got two rooms with their own private lobby. Nice room, nice view over river

This is very well-situtated hotel with a nice view from rooms overlooking the river. The pool was not in service during our October stay which is normal so we can't comment on that. The sauna was out of order and we were not told of this during our check-in. The hammam was nice and private for us though we came down to use it and were told we needed our bath robes - which of course we didn't have as the hotel which provides them free hadn't given us them yet. More bad customer service.
Room was clean and functional though not sure about the clear PVC chair which spoiled the effect a bit.
Our main gripe was with the customer service which was terrible. The hotel had no reception counter, just two tables as you go in and we weren't very well welcomed. Then the lady telling us about the bath robes. Then another lady who checked us out - after we waited for five minutes - didn't apologise for the wait and was generally very unfriendly.
With proper training or new staff this hotel could be excellent.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time! The room we stayed in was huge with both a washroom shower and lovely bath. The staff were extremely friendly and gave amazing service. We had a lovely meal which is on the expensive side but it was worth it. We also had a view of the castle in Clisson and it's only a 10/15min walk from the train station

Superb modern re-work of a 19th century industrial building in a beautiful location

We stayed one night on our journey north. The conversion to a modern hotel is very well done & quite stylish in a minimalist way. The location on the river
looking across to the castle of Clisson is superb. The food & the staff in the restaurant were both excellent.
The only negative aspect was the poor attitude of the reception staff who failed to acknowledge our presence until they felt like it!

Chambre avec une climatisation qui ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons interpellé un homme de chambre + l'accueil à 3 reprises dans l'après midi. Nous étions en transpiration rien qu'à être dans la chambre sans aucune exagération.
Ensuite moquette un peu sale, traces blanches incrustées sur le couvre lit violet.
Seulement 10 transats pour plus d'une vingtaines de personnes présentes à la piscine. Nous avons dû mettre notre serviette à même le sol. Le standing de l'hôtel n'est pas au rendez vous. Seulement la localisation

Sehr gutes Ambiente, in der Altstadt gelegen. Guter Parkplatz , 2x 230V AC Elektro Ladestation . Pool bis 22:00 nutzbar. Fussläufig sind Boutiquen und Brasserie / Crêperie zur erreichen.
