Lovely getaway in nature!

Fantastic place to get away and relax in nature! Super beautiful location, lots of options for activities from hiking to canoeing to pedal boats to the pool/sauna. We appreciated the friendly staff and the room was very comfy!

I should've planned ahead and booked spa services in advance, because the massages were already fully booked when we arrived but that's definitely on me.

Restaurant serves great food, vegetarians may want to bring some extra provisions since options are available but limited to one dinner entree when we were there. If you want variety and are staying a few days, just a heads up. :)

Will definitely be back someday--gorgeous lakes and beautiful surroundings!

I liked the environment, and the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was very good. But what I did not like sis that the chalet was a little bit old and the rooms had only small windows, and were not facing the most interesting scene which is the lake.

Un accès par carte pour entrer dans l'hôtel serait idéal pour ne pas attendre devant les barrières d'accès.

This was not the experience we were expecting for an almost $400 per night hotel. 1) Bed sheets were full of hair (clearly not changed). When we asked reception to clean the room, they told us there was anyone available and gave us clean sheets for us to change. 2) Food quality was ok but overpriced. Service was really slow, it took us 1h to get the kids food. 3) Pool: Drunk teenagers in the pool, unsupervised young kids playing in the steam sauna, and cold pool. We believe this were people not staying at the hotel but that had payed a fee for the pool 4) Spa: very mediocre massage. Spa is beside the pool so impossible to relax even at 10am in the morning 5) Majority of included activities closed (skating and cross country ski) but payed activities open (dog sled and ice fishing). Difficult to understand how there is snow for dog sledding but not enough to trace the cross country skiing paths. 5) Laugh or cry: no more hot water in the shower the last day....

We had a lovely stay at l'Auberge. The room was comfortable with a nice walk-in shower (my favorite). We loved swimming in the clear lake. We also enjoyed a lovely hike along a stream that leads to a waterfall. We ate at the hotel one of the 2 nights since it was a quite pricy. And we were also a bit disappointed that the water activities are not included (kayak, canoe, paddleboat). But the pool, tennis courts were. It was a peaceful getaway and we will no doubt return someday.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious and beautiful. We liked the wooden floors, the great shower in the bathroom, the view from the restaurant over the lake, the relaxing area around the bar with the fireplace and the billard table. The pool is clean and very big (I guess 25 meters long). The setting is very quiet and relaxing, the landscape is beautiful.
Here are the negative remarks: The staff all seemed tired and were not helpful, didn't smile, didn't say hello, didn't ask us whether we had a nice stay, etc. The ice rink and the skating path in the forest were in very bad shape and the staff told us they would not redo the ice since the temperature would go up the next week. But during our stay, it was -20 C! So we didn't skate although I had really looked forward to it. Also, be sure to check the temperature of the fridge in your room. We had milk and fruit in there for the kids - the milk froze to a solid block and the fruit was all lost because it was far too cold. We had dinner in the restaurant and found the food somewhat disappointing (considering the price) - it was ok and fresh, but didn't taste much, there was dry rice and steamed vegetables without sauce. We also had breakfast there twice - the buffet was identical on both days, with your standard hot and cold fare, canned fruit salad, stale croissants, no fresh bread (only sliced toast).

Expensive stay, with little payback.

The language barrier (English/French) made communication difficult, from check-in to check-out. The wait-staff however, were great at helping us decipher the menu and speaking in general. The food was very good and the prices were acceptable for a resort. We did experience a rate increase per night upon check out and the language barrier (my limited French and no English with the agent) made for a challenging check-out, so its best to pay Hotels.com directly rather than at the hotel. Our stay was very expensive and because we were busy with other events we did not have time to enjoy the facilities we felt it was not good value for the money spent. We did experience an issue when we arrived at the hotel late on the Friday night and the restaurant closed at 9pm and the bar served nothing other than potato chips. We found this to be a big negative as the resort is very secluded so there are no options to get food elsewhere. I would assume summer time at this resort is a totally different experience and hopefully a more positive experience with more scheduled activities and restaurant operation hours. Overall a beautiful resort but would not return.

OK, we stayed there on thanksgiving, an admittedly stressing period for the personnel. Nevertheless, the seats in the restaurant deserve a cleaning or a stain-proof upholstery.

The site and the hotel itself are awesome. Rooms are spacious and clean. So are the condos and chalets. However, the staff needs some serious training. Wheter it is at the reception or at the restaurant, it is as if they just hire whoever was available and put them there. For the price you are paying to stay there, you would expect better service. Checking in with my two kids, I was told that my room was not available... that in fact the previous customers were still in there.. way past check-out time. Ok, that happens. So when will it be ready? No idea sir. By 3 pm? I don't know. Hum ok.. So is there any other equivalent rooms that could be ready? Great idea, I will look... Finally there was one. She was totally helpless. I waited about 90 minutes for two salads and kid's meal at dinner time while the restaurant was maybe 25% full. No explanations, no excuses, nothing. I can't even pass the message by decreasing the tips because 15% is added on top of all meals. Bottomline: Great hotel, great food but be ready to be surrounded by low-level quality staff.

Great hotel, great stuff, great location..

The hotel is located in a dreamed place right on the lake. I stayed during the weekdays so hotel was quiet and there were no people. I recommend doing this if you can as you will enjoy the place and hotel much more.

The rooms were new. We stayed on one of the new sections of the hotel. Very modern rooms with AWESOME view to the lake and balcony. Very romantic. The oldest part of the hotel is well maintained. Rooms are visibly older but they are much bigger and well maintained. Only thing because I did not rated this hotel SUPERB is because there are only 4 channels on the TV so if you want to relax a day and watch a movie.. here you won't be able to. Is more a place to relax, connect with nature, fish, or go on a boat.

Staff was amazing. Specially the girl named Cindi. I totally fell in love with her. She's great making us feel welcome and pleased. Always a smile and always trying to accomodate to our requests. People on the dining room also were awesome!. All trying to speak english and spanish to make things easier for us and always with a smile.

All the rest.. dreamed. Hope this helps.

Très bon séjour ds un parc magnifique et une très belle nature . Les marmottes qui ont élues domicile sur les aires de pelouses autour des bâtiments nous transportent ds un pays idyllique ..Vraiment charmant !
De plus l'accès au centre aquatique apres une sortie pédestre sur les sentiers et ds la forêt nous ont apporté un instant de relaxation et de détente inoubliable.
Seul bémol à cette période les hordes de moustiques ,n'oubliez pas les protections, ça mord dur !!!

Nous avons passé 2 jours dans l'Auberge (qui n a plus d Auberge que son nom). Rien a dire sur la qualite de l hebergement (hormis la luminosité des chambres) mais 2 points noirs : 1/ la restauration : c est l'usine et beaucoup de plats semblent congelés. Repas du soir et PDJ beaucoup trop cher par rapport a la qualite des produits. 2/ la randonnee a motoneige : elle pourrait etre magnifique au vu des decors naturels mais malheureusement tres fade. 4 arrets "pipi et cigarettes" pendant cette balade de 4h, aucun arret point de vue, aucune explication ou description de la part du guide...une activité qui doit vous donner de l'adrenaline et qui m'a endormi...Bref, une jolie usine a touristes.

Freizeitangebot eher für Familien mit Kinder, Leihräder nur für Kinder, seit Monaten Bären aus klimatischen Gründen weggezogen, trotzdem werden überall Bärenführungen erwähnt.
Gästetoilette EG Herren linke Toilettentür defekt, keine Absperrmöglichkeit.
Frühstück: muffige Internatsqualität,
Warmhaltevorrichtingen zu heiß eingestellt, typisches amerikanisches Pappebrot, keine andere Frühstücksmöglichkeit im weiteren Umfeld.
Abendessen sehr gut, Bedienung Abendessen erster Abend mit
3 Pers. Es werden nie alle Teller, nur ein Teil abgeräumt , bestellter Wein nicht gebracht, aber verrechnet, Personal sehr bemüht, aber Aufgabe nur bedingt gewachsen.
Zweiter Abend sehr versierter Kellner.
Zimmerschlüssel Briefenkastengrösse unhandlich, unzeitgemäß.
Bad: keine Möglichkeit nasses Handtuch aufzuhängen.
Nur allgemeine Beleuchtung, aber keine vernünftige Beleuchtung zum Lesen im Bett.
Fitness nur Laufbänder, dann besser gar nicht hinstellen, nur zugänglich über warmfeuchtes Schwimmbad.
Sehr speziell, aber kein Grund auf einer Kanadareise hier auch nur einen Tag zu verbringen und vor allem viele Stunden für An- und Abreise zu verbringen.

Le restaurant de l hôtel n est pas à la hauteur!

Hotel superbe avec un cadre magnifique, des activités canons mais un service hôtelier qui ne suit pas.
Nourriture, certes, de qualité mais 2h à attendre nos plats sans explication sauf quand on râle...

Sur une table de 7 personnes, nous avons demandé à annuler les frais de services car ils n étaient là clairement pas mérités.

Dommage car la réputation de l hotel en pâtit.

Après 2 interventions auprès des supérieurs de l’établissement, ils ont finalement accepté que les déjeuners nous soient inclus. Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet hôtel et nous y retournerons certainement!

L’emplacement sur le lac est agréable, mais l’hôtel est vétuste et obsolète (rénovations faites il y a bien trop longtemps). Les chambres de luxe vue sur le lac sont sonores (vous entendez votre voisin du dessus), le restaurant est très moyen (foie gras sans goût noyé dans des cramberies, 1h d’attente pur avoir le plat du menu enfant,…) et le TIPS service est automatiquement inclus dans l’addition ce qui est ici au Canada illégal ! L’espace piscine est juste correct avec des équipements vétustes. Nous regrettons totalement notre séjour et nous n’y reviendrons JAMAIS. Habitant le Canada depuis 2018 je vous assure qu’il y a au même tarif largement mieux, avec une emplacement similaire sur un aussi beau lac ! Pitoyable constat

Compliqué pour les réservations au restaurant. Le personnel ne tente pas de trouver des solutions. Pas de serviettes dans la chambre à notre arrivée et les poubelles n’avaient pas été vidées, tout ça en période de COVID.

Beauté du site. Accueil et départ peu amical. Restaurant aux prix exorbitants pour la qualité. Lit pas confortable. Durant tout le séjour, pas d’internet ni tv et aucun rabais accordé.

La beauté du lac a l’eau claire , reposant clame , nombreuses activités aquatiques à faire .
Nous avons bien mangé , nous y retournerons sûrement !
