The welcome was good from the pleasant owners. The Manoir is an impressive historic building set in its own grounds and surrounded by a housing estate. We were shown up to our room up a steep winding stone staircase up to the attic or turret room. This room had an ensuite. The decor and finish to the room was poor and not to our taste. Rather gloomy. But the room was warm and the bed OK. No glasses to drink from. No soap dish. Not particularly clean. (But we do appreciate how difficult it is to keep beamed rooms clean). When we entered our room, our reactions were \"what have we booked! ?\".
The breakfast was unappealing. The breakfast room was interesting but a little odd!
The owners are clearly trying hard, but we are sorry this was not a good trip for us. Good luck in your endeavors.

We selected reserved a room which we were not allocated but a significantly worse room, dirty and with plaster falling from the ceiling from a prior leak, poor WiFi, appalling shower room, and no amenities. ( All had to be prearranged) So no drinking water on a day when it was 34 degrees. Owner said he decided to change it. The room had a plug badly fitted to wall with extension bar for the TV and box. It was a great experience to stay in such an interesting hotel. The owners were friendly and helpful, dinner was excellent and the room was very comfortable. We were able to explore the grounds which must be lovely to use in the summer. Would definitely return.

MOST ENJOYABLE STAY AT THE MANOIR DE ROUESSE
There was a friendly welome , I was amazed by the room and comfort . Very nice diner in the evening and very nice breackfast in the morning .

Friendly welcome from the owner. Advertised as a chateau but in fact stayed in ghete in former outbuilding. The accomodation had a kitchette and microwave but unfortunately no crockery, utensils or pots or pans to boil water etc. Top of headboard needed vacumning as loose grit from exposed stone work. Plenty of parking. Property a 25 minute walk or short car ride from property.

Overall a pleasant stay in a very quaint 15th century Manor House. Owners very friendly, carparking plentiful, easy bus ride into centre of town. Not sure we would return as just a bit to quaint for us

Une superbe et confortable adresse hors du temps
Un lieu empli d'Histoire et de charme. Situé à quelques minutes du centre ville de Laval, vous êtes dans un autre monde, rien de mieux pour déconnecter de sa journée de travail !! J'ai fait une soirée étape et dormi dans le petit bastion d'entrée avec des meurtrières. Chambre confortable et spacieuse. La cuisine est familiale est savoureuse, le dîner se prend à l'intérieur du Manoir, face à la monumentale cheminée. Le couple de propriétaire est à l'écoute sans être envahissant. Une excellente adresse ou je reviendrai.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au manoir du Rouessé. L’accueil est très chaleureux et la chambre très spacieuse et confortable. Très réussi pour une première dans un manoir du XVème. Une ou 2 activités dans le domaine auraient été la crème sur le gâteau (table de Ping Pong, tir à l’arc ou autre). Nous recommandons fortement.

Une très belle bâtisse du 15e siècle mais qui nécessite beaucoup de travaux. Le déjeuner est cher rapport qualité prix et la gérante des lieux est un peu en vrac. C était la 2e fois que l'on venait , il n y aura pas de 3e fois
