We came as a couple for a four-day wedding anniversary stay. The location was excellent. Compared to every other property surrounding it, this is the best: understated yet luxurious, quiet yet family-friendly, and meticulously maintained. We had a lovely room for two with a jacuzzi on the balcony that made for some nice memories. The grounds are lovely, both family-friendly and couple-friendly, as there are quiet spaces set aside for adults only as well as spaces for families with kids. The food was amazing; we gorged ourselves a bit. The staff was wonderful. Here we send a special shout-out to Vural bey for making our anniversary celebration one to remember through his generosity. Also, Tugba hanim was very kind and helpful to us in the first day. I'd love to list everyone in the wait staff by name, but the space is not nearly enough. The other guests are wonderful, too. Barut Hemera is very highly recommended, if you plan to stay in Side. Don’t even consider any of the other options.

Excellent property, lovely food, had very nice lounge areas we could relax in. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the main buffet, Hasan in the main buffet area was outstanding and welcomed us like family.

The spa was also lovely and well designed.
We loved the patisserie which served great coffee and desserts.

Drinks wise, non-alcoholic mocktail options were very limited but we were able to have plenty of hot drinks and soft drinks. Food items sometimes had alcohol in it which is unsuitable for children and those who do not have alcohol. Otherwise, a very relaxing stay. Thank you to the Barut Hemera team.

Service here is superb - a lot of very well trained staff to serve your every need. Amazing to be able to use the à la carte restaurants as an alternative to buffet at both lunch and dinner. Kids accommodated for very well. Big range of cocktails and premium drinks.
App for ordering drinks to your lounger / table without having to move! Sheer indulgence.
Much better presented, tended and maintained than any of the other beachfront hotels in this area.

So much could be said about Barut Hemera. From the moment you arrive you are treated like you are visiting family. The staff are some of the warmest friendly people we have met during our travels. Attention to detail is in the DNA at Barut Hemera. For such a big facility it is difficult to find fault with anything. Spotless rooms amazing cleaning and grounds staff. The service staff are just as diligent and courteous always one step ahead of your requests. The food Wow, how can you complain when the choices and flavours are endless. This place is a must visit.

So much could be said about Barut Hemera. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed as if you’re returning to family. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the staff are among the best we’ve experienced in all our travels.
Attention to detail truly feels embedded in the DNA of Barut Hemera. For a resort of its size, it’s remarkable how flawless everything feels. The rooms are spotless, and the housekeeping and grounds teams do an exceptional job maintaining the property to the highest standard.
The service staff are equally impressive — attentive, courteous, and always one step ahead, anticipating your needs before you even ask.
And the food… simply outstanding. With endless choices and incredible flavours at every turn, there’s nothing left to wish for.

Excellent hotel with even better staff and I would return again. If I wrote all the great things, this review would be very long.
There are a couple reasons why I can’t give it a perfect score though but they are simple to rectify. The heated pools are at 26 degrees, ourselves and other guests agreed this was probably too cold to relax in and made me regret the extra amount for a swim up room. The AC didn’t go below 22 degrees, we are used to sleeping quite cold and not being able to control this is disappointing and led to slightly uncomfortable nights. Finally, the shampoo given doesn’t lather and didn’t clean my wife’s hair, it’s the first thing we had to buy shampoo on a holiday

But I must reiterate, we had a great time there and would recommmend it

A Wonderful Family Stay at Barut Hemera Resort – Highly Recommended!

We had a fantastic family holiday at Barut Hemera Resort – everything from the hospitality to the facilities exceeded our expectations.

A very special thank you to the amazing team at the Kids Club:
Munos (a truly kind and dedicated person – our kids adored her!), Monika, Danaya, Fatos, and Zarina. The kids’ activities were well-organized, engaging, and made our children look forward to every day. They created a safe, fun, and welcoming environment – truly a highlight of our stay.

The food was excellent, with plenty of variety and consistently high quality across all meals. Whether buffet or à la carte, everything was fresh and delicious.

We’d also like to give a special mention to Fevzi, whose shisha service was outstanding – friendly, professional, and always with a smile. He made our evenings truly relaxing.

At the spa, we had a great experience thanks to Annie and Ellie. Their warm approach and professional service made us feel pampered and cared for.

Overall, this was a memorable trip for the whole family, and we would happily return.

Rating our Expedia experience: 5/5 – smooth booking, accurate information, and a seamless trip from start to finish.

What a superb hotel this is. We enjoyed a great holiday here with our grown up family. Attention is very evidently paid to every aspect of the hotel and its running, making for a faultless experience as a guest. Everything from the maintenance of rooms, grounds, and services, to the bar and restaurants, the quality of the food and drink, and very importantly the demeanour and courtesy of the universally wonderful staff is done very well. Some in our group had to change rooms due to a maintenance issue, but the proactive approach taken to compensating us immediately neutralised the inconvenience, to the degree that we actually felt it had been good fortune! There is attention to detail everywhere you look: as an example the table tennis table is kept equipped with good quality table tennis bats that are clearly renewed regularly and never allowed to degrade to being tatty. We were impressed particularly with how consistently every member of staff - from room cleaners, to bar staff, and entertainment staff - was professionally pleasant, and went about their jobs with cheerfulness. We know not all guests are easy to deal with but witnessed just how well some challenging situations were approached. The hotel leadership and management are clearly doing something right here to have a team that behaves this way, and this hugely contributes to the enjoyable experience of being a guest here. We would all come back here, in a flash, and hopefully we will.

Family of 3 with a 8 year old kid traveling from US . We did get a room upgrade with sea view . Staff across the property was very courteous and always helpful . As we are vegetarian , food was really good with various options in every meal . We did a few fine dinning options during our stay and the chef went out of way to accommodate our vegetarian and dietary needs . Special curated drinks were made on requests . Evening entertainment was good for kids and adults . Would definitely come back .

My family and I stayed at Barut Hemera during the low season in February. I was concerned about the amenities as our vacation was during winter, but the hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of restaurant options, activities and hospitality services. Our kids, 9 and 15, had a relaxing time, spending time at the pool, the sauna and the Turkish hamam. Every meal was amazing with lots of options across cuisines. We also enjoyed the a la cart seafood restaurant called Sandal, which offered a great feast. Lastly, every single employee at the hotel was warm, accommodating and with a simle on their faces. Barut Hemera is going to be on top of our list for our next vacation in Turkish south.

Excellent especially for families with young kids. There's plenty to do. Good food with lota of choices. Only complaint would be that the indoor pools weren't heated to the temperature it was meant to be heated to on the last day of our stay (i.e. to 28 degrees for the adults pool and 29 degrees for the kids pool - the kids pool was actually much colder than the adults one), so we couldn'treally use them for very long at all. With it being the winter, warm indoor pools are a central part of the holiday. Pleased with everything else.

The Check In was so easy, just sitting on the sofa with a drink. We were upgraded to a room with a Jacuzzi, which was nice. The rooms are a bit small but furnished to high standards with daily refilling of the mini bars.

The pools were nice and the food was good. Bars were well equipped with quality alcohol. Staff were always nice and helpful. Beach was kept clean and the seats were comfortable. Evening shows were great too! Lots of seating and sunbeds on the grass, in the share also

Overall a great experience and we would definitely stay here again if coming to the region.

This hotel is green, quiet and comfortable. Service is outstanding. As soon as you enter a restaurant, your server is right there. As you enter the beach area, beach attendant helps you to find the lounger for you. Beach areas are divided into 18 , smoking and nonsmoking. Beach mattresses and towels are very nice, same loungers are around the pool and grass areas. Bars are in close proximity and there is a waiter service in all this areas. Coffee shop is amazing with best desserts. Food at the restaurants is very good and plentiful. Cats on the territory look healthy and fed. Room are nice and clean. My niece loved going to kids club. This hotel is great for families and other adults.

We went on a short holiday to Barut Hemera and wished we had stayed longer! Our room was beautiful and attached to a shared pool which was lovely!

Even though the resort isn’t adult only we appreciated that there were 16 areas and found it very peaceful and quiet. We are newlyweds (28 and 30) and this was an ideal holiday!

The beach is beautiful and there were always loungers available. The food was good and we enjoyed the opportunity to have one a la carte dinner on our last night :)

We also enjoyed the spa and had a massage and peel which was so relaxing and we would definitely recommend! There are also saunas and a steam room that you can use free of charge during the day.

The resort is lovely and has everything you need on site which makes for an stress-free experience. We will definitely go back when we need another relaxing vacation! Thank you!

Everything I was after I got from my stay here… a modern clean tidy room, an abundance of quality food around the clock and great service & care from the staff. The weather was warm as expected for the time of year so no sunbathing but there was no issues being outside. I got the peace I needed, if I had to find something that would have made it perfect for me it would be a TV that could connect to external devices via WiFi.

Hotel and our room was lovely unfortunately we did not have hot water for half the holiday though but maintenance soon fixed.
The cocktails were nice and strong and not watered down.
Only thing we found was there was not much in way for kids to eat so they struggled to find something and just lived off chips each night which was not great. Also when we went in April there was limited entertainment - just a band playing so kids were bored.

We booked the holiday literally two days before leaving as originally were going to Marrakesh.

We were very pleased with the reception staff and the guest relations manger Sid came and explained to us the facilities at the all inclusive resort.

Throughout our stay the staff were very helpful and went an extra mile to make our stay memorable.

The food quality and quantity were outstanding with loads of options and variety of different cuisines every day from breakfast to dinner.

The patisserie had different varieties of teas and coffees. They had fresh cakes and pastries every day. My children loved the burgers at the burger bars.

The beach bar had variety of mocktails and food. Every night there was a concert at the stage next to the beach for the guests staying at the resort.

The rooms were really high standard with minibar and the change or toiletries and linen , towels every day. The rooms had beach tote bag with beach towels.

I would like to thank the management at the resort for their hospitality and attention to detail. We were particularly impressed with the Covid hygiene measures.

We have decided to rebook next year- Airport transfer could have been included in the package fee.

We have been to Barut Hemera in Side three times and hopefully we will be able to return. The hotel is wonderfully laid out, the food is great (especially at the Al la carte restaurants) and they really understand customer service. Sid is great and makes you feel special. Great all inclusive hotel and I highly recommend.

It was our second visit of Istanbul and second stay in Barcelo hotel.
Location is good, it’s near Taksim and Istiklal.

Breakfasts were a bit scarce without plenty of options. Waiters weren’t very helpful while there weren’t many guests in the restaurant.

I assume that such moments couldn't be in true 5 star hotel.

Some staff are rude. The staff treats clients with a false heart. Espaciall, entertainment staff.
They said \"friend\" to client and it means \"fridendly\" but they are rude and try to cheat and hide something.
Many Turkey people deceive tourists with lies and demand unfair money.
It seems to me that it is due to a problem caused by cultural differences.

Smell of drain is in the room and room is no soundproof at all with steel wall. Night music and guest voices echo through the room.
Emploees who enter and leave the room are unfriendly and do not wait several times.
Managers make the glass uncomfortable with conversation attemps and questions and force an assement of accommodation each time. Bothering by false heart.

I don't recommend this place. Very disappointed.

Lovely propery with lot of plants and greenery with multiple swimming pools on the beach.
Food at the Safra turkish resturant was really good. But apart from this most of the other places food was quite average or poor. Beach right outside the hotel is rocky so you will need to move around a bit for a good swim.We had a room fitted with jacuzzi which wasnt working proper unfortunately on our short stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barut Hemera. The service was excellent from the start. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade a room for a small fee so that our balcony opened right onto our private pool area and we were glad we did. The a la carte seafood restaurant Sandal was also great and worth a try. The hotel was well laid out, cozy, clean and the views were amazing. We would definitely visit there again.

This hotel is amazing, spotlessly clean and lovely staff. We had a deluxe jacuzzi room, beds were comfortable nice balcony with privacy curtain. Food was amazing, plenty of choice and we ate at the italian, turkish and international restaurants. Italian and Turkish are highly recommended, International was just ok. There are some shops on site, general newsagent type shop, jewellery, clothes and an optical store selling frames and sunglasses. No ATM in the hotel but there is one within 5 minutes opposite the main gate. Guard told me it was by the chemist, however there are 3 as I found out so turn left to and walk to the big chemist on the end of the block. Make sure to do your transaction in Lira to avoid high fees. One thing I didnt like was the fact that everything was priced in Euro. If you wanted to pay in Lira, they simply converted Lira into the Euro equivalent which didnt seem fair as one of the things that attracted us to Turkey was the favourable exhange rates. Euro is lower than GBP so it was like a double whammy. I dont think I'll be in a hurry to go back to Turkey if I have to pay in Euro I would rather dgo somewhere closer to home but if I did I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel.

This hotel was far better than we expected. Food in the a la carte restaurants was exceptional, and pretty decent in the buffet too. a la carte lunches in Olive were a treat, very well presented and nothing was too much trouble, exception chef there. The whole hotel has a chilled out luxurious vibe with upmarket decor, nice lighting and sofas with funky cushions around the place, just gives it a more grown up feel. The quiet pool near the swim up rooms was our favourite, with Olive bar on hand to cool us down with cocktails and ice cream!
If you're after a chilled hotel, close to other bars and shops, with excellent facilities, that feels a world away from your bog standard 'Benidorm' style all inclusive, this is the place for you.

What an amazing hotel!
We have just returned from 2 weeks here with our 9&7 year olds and we all loved it!
The kids adored the kids club and the ladies who ran it. It was open fir 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, and the kids could just come and go as they pleased!
The gardens in the hotel are absolutely immaculate, they are always bring tended and the place looks fabulous!
Plenty of sun loungers both poolside and at the beach.
The Olive Garden A La Carte restaurant was absolutely fabulous, well worth a visit!
The Patisserie is fabulous and the ice creams were always a hit with the kids!
Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!

İnsan ilişkilerinden vural beye çok teşekkürler, eşimin doğum günü ve balayı etkinliklerimiz için çok yardımcı oldu. Otel temiz , çalışanlar ilgili. Yemekler orta. Akşam eğlenceleri güzel. Gün içinde animasyon şubatta bile epey fazlaydı bu iyi oldu.

Jacuzzi auf Balkon wurde leider nur auf Anfrage gereinigt. Auch die Dusche , vor allem die stark verkalkte Duschtüre bedarf einer intensiven Reinigung.
