Great place! They need to find more competent maintenance men but otherwise, no complaints. Cabin is nice, stays cold as you want it to be at any time. Grounds are nice, plenty of nature to view, wonderful spot to visit with the family, area could use some Alpine style modernization but other than that, killer. Only thing that sucked was the hot tub not working and not being let know that it was down as the listing said it was an amenity.

The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, with an alternate route when the bridge was out and finding out if a burn was lifted.

The place was lovely and (though I wasn’t handicapped) loved to see the cabin accommodate it like ramps leading from the living room to the backyard patio. And it was a surprise with a washer and dryer!

Only notes: better internet service and a pathway to the lake/ stream right outside and below the cabin’s porch (if possible; there were deer that came to the stream, so a pathway/ area may not be possible).

All in all, a great spring break getaway to relax!

For off season stay, this was an absolute steal. Would have appreciated a heads up about a major bridge being down that resulted in a 5-10 minutes drive to our cabin turning into a 25 minute drive from the front office. Also was not sent a certain code that all of the security were asking for which made for some difficulty getting into the resort. The older gentleman with the grey ponytail could have been more polite as well.

The staff was amazing! We had a wonderful experience at booking, obtaining our keys, and with the security. The cabin could’ve been cleaner. The cleaning company should work on removing the spider webs and the dead spiders and bugs from the bathrooms and bedrooms. Location was great, the cabin had absolutely everything we would need, and the room arrangements were wonderful. The WiFi was VERY spotty, that can be a good and bad thing I guess. Anyone booking should definitely keep the WiFi in mind. You probably won’t be able to make calls and you MAY have service near the router. You definitely won’t have WiFi upstairs in the bedroom and further than 5 feet. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The cabin was in need of some repairs and cleaning. The bedspread had stains so should have been replaced. The bathroom was dirty in the corners and the shower faucet was confusing to use. The faucet in the kitchen was broken and the fire place did not work initially (maintenance fixed it day 2). The ceiling fan in the living room also did not work. It was pretty dusty all around. Also the kitchen utensils were pretty sparse. However the outer areas were great! Back porch especially being screened in and facing the water with a porch swing. Would have been better with a porch heater. The outdoor fire pit was nice, but we could get a fire to stay lit in it despite many efforts with fire wood, lighter fluid and kindling. That was disappointing.

The villa that was given to us smelled like mold the tv wouldn’t work the bridge was out and it took us forever to get to our villa and there was no costumer service to try to get a new villa. When we arrived and tried to check in, we were told I had already checked in, signed papers and gotten the key.
Clearly I had not.
The security guard was nice but seemed very uncomfortable- she handed me the phone and told me her supervisor wanted to speak with me.
The supervisor told me someone must’ve stolen my identity, checked in and took my villa.

I explained that I’d had a very bad trip up and really needed to relax and check in.

She got very rude and told me it wasn’t anything to do with her and wasn’t her fault.
Basically she was a jerk and I’m highly irritated.

Overall clean but property has a musty, moldy odor that wouldn't go away. Had to purchase lysol and had to constantly spray to try to clear the smell. Clothes and belongings retained the musty odor even after returning home.
Need to have a clearer description and directions that explain recreation center and pools are miles away and hard to find.
Water pressure is extremely low and made taking a shower difficult.

The amenities were great, and the property was beautiful, but I would recommend renting from private owners within the property due to some problems I had with the resort renters. The resort changed our listing and after we paid a higher price to get a river view room, we were given a Mountain View. When we asked the resort to help us straighten things out they refused to make it right.

The property itself is beautiful. The ride up to it is a nightmare. If I had of known what it took to get to this cabin, I definitely would have stayed elsewhere. I had planned to shop while my husband worked, my vehicle never left the small one space till the day we both left. I rode with him everywhere because of the confusing and twisting roads up to cabin. He was offered no help when he came in at night either by the lady in the “welcome” shack. I don’t think she knew either, she just handed him back the paper and said “it’s on there”. Had one nice man named Randy let my husband park his cargo trailer down the hill and he was always helpful. Found an old washcloth in cabin left behind and the door kept locking us out so we found if you had a credit card you could use it to open it back up. That sure isn’t safe. No deadbolts on either door. River is close by if you like that to float down or fish. The deck was nice but your neighbors to the left and right can see you from theirs. I’ve never understood why you pay to have it cleaned behind you but you have to clean it pretty much yourself before you leave. This is the kind of review I wished I would have seen before I booked this cabin.

The overall property was amazing- so quiet and peaceful. We saw countless deer and were able to enjoy a stunning view of the sunset every evening.

The villas are dated. Which is fine and do-able…however, the pungent mildew smell was more than I could bear. It is not only the smell but the toxins from either the mold or fungi that it’s coming from; my body began swelling, could not stop sneezing, eyes watering, etc. Would love to come back but please do something about this. It is simply hazardous for your guests to constantly breathe in these toxins.

The nice lady at check in warned the WiFi was “spotty”. And no guarantee on the WiFi. Well, spotty is a very generous description of a place that had very little WiFi, no cell signal (our phones went to SOS mode), and had a landline phone that was purely decorative as there was no dial tone. They advertised “CABLE TV”, which is a lie. They supply a TV which is attached to the nonexistent WiFi. We tried for over half an hour to connect to our personal Netflix account, to no avail. You can’t keep internet for 5 minutes to establish the connection. Two lights burnt out in living area, filthy uncomfortable deck furniture, and uncomfortable couches made hanging out challenging. The bed was ancient and sagging in the middle and neither of us slept well. The hairdryer is a wall mounted one that has not been actually mounted to a wall, so you have this clunky thing to plug in and try to dry your hair with that. Not a single hook in the bathroom, and the one towel rack was so small that only one towel folded in half fits on it. No where to hang another towel or robe. This place is not cheap enough and should come with a warning that is it COMPLETELY OFF THE GRID. Pack a ton of books and a book light.

Beautiful views of the River, secluded area far from town. If you are a nature lover, this is your place. We really enjoyed seeing all the Deer! This property is very outdated on the inside. Needs a fresh coat of paint and new furnishings. The mattress was so loud and squeaky to the point that it kept me and my husband awake all night, and it had a bad sag in the middle.This place would be amazing if it was updated. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Our cabin that was described (pictures shown on website) was not the same cabin. The cabin had roaches (killed over 15 that we could get to) and when called to complain I was told there was nothing they could do. I had to wait until the next day to get another place to stay. Poor communication with staff (my complaint wasnt forwarded). We spent the extra money to have the cabin feeling and not what we ended up getting. No apologies given for the inconvenience. When we were moved they acted like they were doing us a big favor. Still didn't get what we paid for or refunded.

I enjoyed my stay in the cabin. It was clean and everything worked. Staff working at the property were very kind and helpful. I realized on arrival that the river pictures were not from my cabin. This cabin was maybe 30-40 yards from the bank of river and on a part of the river that is still water (no rocks/small rapids). Also, I didn’t realize how large the property is. It’s beautiful, but not walkable. I had a 15 minute drive to the rec center. Rec center is as pictured. I was looking for a quiet get away and this cabin definitely provided that. I saw more deer than people, which was awesome!

Nice spot- bad mattress.

The Villa was nice and clean. The bed mattress had a hole in the middle. I didn't notice but my wife said it sucked her downhill towards me all night(I sleep soundly). The only other gripe is that trees blocked much of the view of the river; disappointing. But the deck overlooking the trees next to the river was outstanding, and we still had a great time.
