Hotel Luca is an exceptional hotel situated in the heart of Rome, offering a delightful ambiance in proximity to the city’s parks. The housekeeping team demonstrated exceptional thoroughness, consistently maintaining a pristine and immaculate appearance throughout the rooms. The breakfast provided was delectable, and the staff exhibited attentiveness and friendliness. However, the security guard and certain front staff members occasionally appeared unfriendly when requesting assistance or opening the locked doors after dark. Despite these minor shortcomings, the hotel’s overall rating of four stars exceeded my expectations. .

It is a cute little boutique hotel above a popular coffee shop. You must enter though the coffee shop to get to the hotel entrance. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect. We had an garden view room with 18 inch balcony so not to hear road noise like from park view rooms.
Free breakfast on the rooftop terrace was great. They had complimentary Mexican sweet breads and fruit along with hot cakes, chilaquiles or eggs. The temperatures in Mexico city were not what we expected in June. It was a high of 75 maybe and lows of 58. We stayed in jeans and a hoodie daily. It is 2000 ft higher than Denver in elevation.
The room has a significant lean/slant from one end to the other. Like the floor is sinking. You can feel the uphill walking from one side to the other. Also while seated on toilet you lean to one side because of floor. The room was spacious. The TV was hung crooked. The shower was a beautiful marble all around including shower floor. I saw my life flash before my eyes a few times stepping in. It is slick. Throw a towel down for grip. Complimentary bottled water and soda loaded every day into fridge. Overall we would stay here again. Only 5 floors and I believe no more than 8 rooms per floor. Location was safe and we walked all day and night without a worry. There were coffee shops and food everywhere. Definitely a hipster/foodie area.

Wonderful location. The cafe downstairs, which has outstanding coffee, is not affiliated with the hotel, and there is no hotel lobby. Once the cafe closes at 8 pm, you have to wait for a live person to unlock the front door for you to leave, or get back in the hotel. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, but in terms of amenities there was no ice, and I had to ask for an iron to be brought to my room, which they promptly did, but without an ironing board, which came a day later. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I would stay here again even if for the excellent location, but billing themselves as a luxury option, perhaps they could do a bit more.

Hotel Luca is in a great location, particularly for the price - surrounded by restaurants and close to boutique shopping. The room and bathroom were large and clean, although the rug in our room looked a bit worn. Our room had a nice view of the park and a little balcony and was cleaned daily. The door to the building is locked at night and there's a security guard stationed there to let you in. The set up is a little different with the hotel sharing a building with a cafe - you walk through the cafe to get to double doors that lead to the hotel. That's where the reception area is located. The free breakfast was limited but included a large plate of fresh fruit, a pastry and your choice of made-to-order eggs or chilaquiles or pancakes. we stayed there for a week and only ate the breakfast a couple of times because there were so many great restaurants we wanted to try. The breakfast is served on the rooftop - a lovely setting. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Lovely property in a prime location in Roma Norte. Breakfast was excellent and the server was so kind. My only issue was the front desk staff. They are very strict about check in at 3pm. That is understandable when the rooms are not ready. However, I was late for an urgent remote Zoom meeting. The gentleman could have allowed me to sit in the closed restaurant or another space to join the meeting, but he did not budge. I was able to take the meeting in the beautiful cafe in the lobby, so it turned out ok.

Nice area, clean room, good service, the breakfast on the rooftop was tasty. The coffeeshop in the lobby was the best in the area in my opinion. Lots of retauraunts nearby too. One advice I'd give to travelers is that facing the street/park there will be noise of people and music, even late, so if you like it quiet pick a non-streetside room.

This is not a luxary hotel. It is a 4 stars hotel (at most). The rooms are very basic, although very spacious.
The best things about the hotel are its location and the rooftop breakfast.

Hotel is in a very vibrant neighborhood with plenty restaurants choices but doesn’t feel in the center of tourists area. Room is large and clean, breakfast is great. It’s a boutique hotel lack of common area, but the location and service definitely make up for it. Highly recommended.

Who is in a terrific location, located just across from a small park and on a quiet street as well. It was so easy to walk to the things we wanted to see like the museums the big parks, the Contessa area, the great restaurants in Roma Norte. It was ideal. Of course as mentioned in other reviews the morning breakfast on the rooftop was exceptional and the staff was so nice. Highly recommend the hotel room. Some cells were spacious bathrooms were modern everything was Quite nice and the air conditioning work just fine. Would certainly recommend this lovely boutique Hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in the nicer parts of Mexico City.

Location is ++A. I was confronted bc I used a washcloth to wash off my makeup. Told they would charge me if I used it again. Told me to use the cotton pads provided to removed makeup. They provided 1 removal kit and there were 2 people but it was insane cause it was 2 quarter size cotton pads. Do they not wash the linens ?? Cause it was makeup and would have come out in the wash. Photos were not really exactly how it was. No spa. You walk through a coffee bar and restaurant to get to the hotel door and at night when it’s closed it’s locked with a guard. Overall nice stay but def not what the photos show and it’s just a little dated. Breakfast was nice and breakfast staff was so nice. Oddly on the day I left the restaurant and coffee bar was closed for no reason which was irritating. Again …. Neighborhood was soooooo good.

Excellent rooftop breakfast restaurant so you don't need to leave the hotel before starting the day. The coffee shop on the first floor was good, but doesn't open up until 8am. Thankfully there are a bunch of excellent nearby coffee spots that open early (like MOMO).

Neighborhood is completely safe and super walkable to a ton of things to check out for food or entertainment. All of the hotel's restaurant recommendations were excellent.

I'm sure there are some other higher end options nearby, but for the money, Hotel Luca was excellent for our 7 night stay.

My only real complaint was that our room didn't have a throw rug on the tile floor (which some other rooms did).

Hotel Luca’s location was unbeatable. We had a nice view of the park across the street. There was daily room service. Would stay here again. No iron available if that matters to you. Our cold water shower handle stopped working towards the end of our stay so maintenance had to come in to do repairs. Other than that, great experience.

Brilliant shower. Large room. Comfy bed. Breakfast was great. However the hotel was incredibly noisy. We were in room 105 and it was upstairs from the small reception and we could hear everything including the staff talking before 7am in the morning. Everything is a hard surface so nothing to swallow the noise. The room above us got up early (4am) several times (assume to go on a trip) and we could hear everything - like an elephant running around. There was building work during the day too which meant naps were out of the question. We would return but I’d definitely want a different room.

This was the perfect small hotel for our first visit to Mexico City. The staff was terrific. The room was large and the bed incredibly comfortable. We'd go out in the morning to return to a made bed and clean bathroom. Water, wine, and soft drinks are gratis. Breakfast on the rooftop was an added bonus. I'll be back Hotel Luca

I am bit disappointed with this hotel. It is an average 2-star hotel marketed as 4-star hotel. The location is good and close to the Roma Norte cafes. Staff is okay, interact minimally. They sit with a table and chair near the elevator. Breakfast is very basic with same menu for all 5 nights of my stay. Room was basic but clean and housekeeping did a great job. The ambience/low-ceiling felt bit depressing after returning from a long day every day. Overall, not worth the price. Paid almost $1500 USD for 5 nights when there were luxury apartment available for under $500 USD. Lesson learned. Amazing country though!

Our room and the hotel were immaculate. It’s no frills, but the breakfast every morning was delicious and a great way to start the day (and it goes until 12pm!!!! Amazing for people who like to sleep in!). The location was also INCREDIBLE. Walking distance to everything and perfect for exploring. Would definitely stay here again in the future. We were so disappointed in this hotel. First, the positive: location was good, desk staff nice enough, and room was cleaned well. Now, the bad: (1) room was like a cheap motel. Cold floors, not a single closet or drawer in sight, making it impossible to put clothes or even toiletries anywhere. (2) everything was falling apart and cheap…Cheap lamps, cheap toiletries, towels fraying, no robes or slippers which was needed with the cold tiles (3) price was deserving of a nice hotel…the park view was a view of an awning on first floor so we couldn’t even open blinds. So disappointed. Deserved so much nicer since we shelled out for this highly rated over hyped motel.

We really liked our stay at Hotel Luca. The best feature was the included, excellent little breakfast on the 5th floor terrace that comes with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and great chilaquiles (or great pancakes if you prefer). It's a nice way to start a day exploring the city. The location is central. In addition to being in the middle of the Roma area and near dozens of good restaurants and cafes, you can also walk to Condessa and the park/museum, and to Centro. The room was clean and housekeeping staff kept it tidy during our stay. The bed was comfy. Check in was smooth and the staff are all really friendly. The downstairs coffee shop is also really good to have on hand.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Luca, especially because of its great location. It was very easy to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and explore the area.

Check-in and check-out were simple and went smoothly. We did ask for a late check-out, but were told it would require a half-day charge, even though we were only requesting one additional hour. That was disappointing, as this hasn’t been our experience at other hotels.

There were also a few basic amenities we were surprised were not available, such as an iron and ironing board, an ice machine, and access to streaming services like Netflix or Hulu. These are small things, but for the price, we expected them to be included.

We were also not informed about the complimentary breakfast during our stay and only learned about it after we had already checked out on our last day.

Overall, the stay was nice, but for the cost, we expected a bit more in terms of amenities and clearer communication.

I was put off by the strange lobby/ check in. With the price I was expecting a proper hotel lobby and reception. The staff themselves were helpful and accomodating, but did not explain the amenities very well. We did not know until the following day that there was a terrace with a bar.
The room itself was large and very clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable.

This was my first time in Mexico City and Hotel Luca was amazing! It is located in Roma Norte, a very safe and fun spot to be. Very walkable and some of the most amazing restaurants were barely three blocks away from the hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable. Bed and linens were comfortable. We had air conditioning, housekeeping gave us fresh towels daily. The best thing about this hotel was the complimentary free breakfast that is available 7:30-noon. It is located on the top terrace so every morning we were greeted with friendly staff and fresh squeeze orange juice and brewed coffee. We had a platter of fresh fruits, pastries and had a choice of omelette, pancakes or chilaquiles. Staff was so accommodating. Was so easy to Uber to different places around the city. This was seriously the perfect hotel, especially for a first time visitor!! Highly recommend!

I loved the location this hotel was, very convenient. The free daily breakfast was great. The room was big and spacious. The only bad thing about this hotel was its a bit noisy. Also, it has very big windows and the curtains have gaps. I had to use a hair clip to close the gaps better. If you are a light sleeper come prepare with an eye mask and ear plugs. I would recommend this hotel because of the location and the free daily breakfast.
