There wereno pla es to oark and I have a disability. No one to help with luggage. Had to park 2 blocks away.The room ,decor, and paint in the room looked like original . No shampoo or soap in the BR. After I got my luggage to the first floor which would be our 2nd they locked off the lift to the first floor. My room had a small veranda but the door was looked and not accessible probably because broken window out there. The air conditioning was wonderful. I moved to a new place the next day.

Hotel is very tired and a bit run down. Breakfast was poor. Staff were ok but appeared disorganised and not that interested. The beach club Dora that the hotel has a deal with don’t like the English and we’re actively unfriendly and unhelpful. I would recommend the beach club Imperiale who were great. The town is nice overall.

The air conditioning barely works.
They only change the towels every second day and if you don't remind them they won't change.
No wifi on our floor, apparently it was down all week.
The breakfast offering was very limited and very poor ingredients/food.
I would not recommend it.
Parking in this area is a complete nightmare.

The hotel feels super dated, my room’s shower was almost falling down and the shower is super small. The air conditioning does not work properly, it took a full day to barely start feeling the room cooldown and then suddenly just stopped; almost unbearable. Location is good but definitely would not be staying here if/when coming back.

The place is a dump, don’t trust pictures on the internet and rating stars. Old creaky elevator from 1960s, worn out interior, showers size of a matchbox, signs of water leaks and peeled out paint everywhere, mediocre breakfast, to say a least. The staff is friendly somewhat, but it can’t save the whole picture.

Had a ‘prestige’ room at the front with a balcony. Huge bed, high ceilings, a really lovely room in a really lovely hotel, full of character. Very helpful and pleasant staff, and I had a great breakfast. Basically a matter of metres away from the beach and all Viareggio’s wonderful beachside cafes/bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay at the Marchionni again.

Positives: Easy walk to beach and boardwalk. Everything felt classic-like out of a movie! Antique elevator, lovely dining area and entryway (except bedroom- see below.) Found out we had a free 3-course dinner and full continental breakfast included! Free wine but paid for water/ soft drinks. Great food! Very clean room.
Negatives: Our room: Felt like we were sleeping in a back alley closet. Little to no decor, minimal light bulbs, really small bathroom, poor TV quality. Hostess spoke little English so was difficult to communicate about meals and beach use. Not sure if we had beach \"rights\". Limited parking.

The parking is 10 euros per day so a one-night stay is 20 euros. Very misleading. There is no place to unload the luggage as the one spot was taken by the hotel car. There is no pool, the \"pool\" is a fountain from the town.

Quiet hotel near the beach and promendade

Hotel Marchionni is very well situated for the beach and walking the promenade. The rooms are well-proportioned with air-conditioning. Great for the summer. There's a lovely reading/lounge room off reception and a really unique, antique lift. I think the hotel is suitable for families, couples, or solo travellers as well. The breakfast is functional and the staff very kind. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hotel Marchionni for a relaxing holiday.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty of free parking close by or pay euro 6/day to park in blue spaces ignorant of hotel. We paid an extra euro10/day to upgrade to a bacon with sea view - well worth it. 1 minute walk to beach and promanade. There is also a very good restaurant close by that provides 10% discount based on a card that hotel provides. Good breakfast but service there is not friendly. My wife cannot tolerate caffeine and getting a deca did not seem to be welcome on day 1. Better on day 2. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Small Terraced Hotel that feels closed in

Look this room was cheap (well I thought so because I thought I paid taxes - when I got the bill they charged me again.) I only booked a single room and it was a BOX room with the ensuite being a built in closet! It had a doorway that anyone over weight would not get through. It was about 4ft square that meant you would hurt yourself squeezing past the sink & toilet roll holder. the window opened about 4 inches with fixed close shutters on. The whole room was claustophobic with dodgy sockets and a broken air con unit. I hated the room. Breakfast was very good and the reception staff were helpful. There is an agreement with a nice beachclub across the road and this is offered at a discount. The lift is open and looks unsafe so its up the stairs with your heavy cases.

Viareggio is great base to visit Florence, Lucca, Pisa, etc by train. Old Hotel struggling to meet current expectations & standards. Rooms clean, good choice of fresh food at breakfast. Staff always helpful. Good value for money.

Overall the hotel is perfect for a nice vacation beach. Not that much to complain and things you don´t find immediately the staff is very friendly and helps in any way. Staff speaks mulitple languages as well, so no communication problems.

Lots of charm

Traveling by car throughout Italy, this was one of our favorite hotels. Excellent location - across the street from the beach. Parking available directly in front of hotel for 6 Euros. Very large, charming room with balcony overlooking ocean. Excellent staff, good breakfast. Would most definitely book here again - delightful!

Hotel storico nel centro della città. Scamperà senz’altro da riqualificare non tanto negli arredi ma negli impianti e finiture. Cuscini altissimi e materasso mollissimo. Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti in tre persone. La posizione è sicuramente un punto a favore: l’hotel si trova molto vicino alla spiaggia, il che è comodo per gli spostamenti.
Il personale si è dimostrato cordiale e disponibile, ma purtroppo l’esperienza complessiva non è stata soddisfacente.
La camera presentava diversi problemi: pulizia carente, davanzale in cattive condizioni, polvere diffusa e, nella doccia, residui di shampoo lasciati da ospiti precedenti.
L’assenza di aria condizionata ha reso il soggiorno particolarmente caldo e poco confortevole. Come alternativa ci è stato fornito un ventilatore impolverato (già presente all’interno della stanza al nostro arrivo ) e privo della protezione frontale, con cui mi sono anche procurata dei tagli: una soluzione né igienica né sicura.
La qualità del cibo è risultata piuttosto bassa. Inoltre, avevamo diritto a una convenzione con la spiaggia, confermata anche dall’hotel, ma non ci è stata applicata al nostro arrivo nonostante avessimo il voucher. Solo il secondo giorno, dopo averlo fatto presente noi stessi, la situazione è stata risolta con 1€ di sconto.
In sintesi, la posizione e la gentilezza dello staff sono punti positivi, ma le carenze strutturali, igieniche e organizzative hanno influito negativamente sulla nostra permanenza.

Marchionni er et gammelt herskapelig hotell med store rom. Noe utdatert og slitt, men veldig sjarmerende om man kan se for seg hvordan det var i gamle dager. Nydelig beliggenhet rett på stranden, vær oppmerksom på å betale mellom 40-70€ for en familie hos de forskjellige «beach club». Anbefales for sin beliggenhet med gangavstand til alt det viktigste.

Letti con materassi comodi, in generale stanza obsoleta, condizionatore che perde acqua, lavandino in bagno che non scarica bene.
Cucina tutto sommato gradevole eccezion fatta per alcuni piatti in cui era evidente che i prodotti usati erano low cost, ad esempio una pasta con pesto con quest'ultimo marca smart di un noto supermarket.
Posizione vicinissima al viale lungomare, ma non vicinissima alle spiaggie libere.
In conclusione, in relazione al prezzo do una sufficienza sia al servizio che alla vacanza, la struttura ha del potenziale.

Hotellet var slitent men rent, personalet var fantastisk hjelpsomme. Alt i alt ett flott opphold. Hotellet ligger rett ved strandpromenaden og har utsikt fra balkong til vannet. Den over 100 år gamle heisen var kjempefin og ett artig innslag.

Douche van warm naar koud als je aan het douchen bent. Airco gaat snel uit dus heel warm in de kamer. Enige voordeel is dichtbij de betaalde, let wel betaalde strand bedden. Als je zelf op het strand wilt liggen zonder te moeten betalen dan moet je 4 km lopen.

Zimmer waren sehr unsauber und das Personal war sehr sehr unfreundlich. Das Essen vesalzen und Frühstück war kaum Auswahl. Am 15.07.25 war eine dunkelheutige Dame in der Küche zum Frühstück. Mein Sohn konnte nix essen weil er Krank war. Ich hatte den Frühstück bezahlt. Mein Sohn konnte nix essen wegen Magenverstimmung. Ich hatte gefragt ob wir 3 Stück Knäckebrot mitnehmen können fur die Fahrt. Sie sagte endweder hier Fressen oder es sein lassen. Ich sagte mein Sohn ist Krank. Das war ihr egal. Unfassbar Ausländer sind manchmal rassistischer und unfreundlicher als die Italiener selber. War in soviele Hotels. So unfreundlich wurde ich auf der ganzen Welt nicht behandelt. Personal katastrophal. Wo ist der Inhaber? Wie Texas... \"Kopfschüttel\"

Sono stato un cliente fisso dell' hotel, poi c' è stato il restailing, sono tornato ma ha parte il magnifico panorama dal balcone, tutto era impresentabile, letto alto 20 cm. con materasso inesistente la mia schiena chiede vendetta, bagno con lavandino mignon e cassetta che perdeva tutta la notte, per finire cuscino così alto da non poter dormire per il male al collo.

Questa struttura dalle foto delle stanze sembrava molto carino ma purtroppo devo dare una cattiva recensione per la stanza che c'è stata data...piccole buia, abbiamo cercato di farci cambiare,ma ormai era tutto pieno, premetto che mi era stata inviata mail per chiedere se avevo richieste particolari,il personale molto gentile e disponibile assolutamente,ma secondo me devono fare dei lavori, tutto qua.per il resto la posizione molto vicina al mare e la cosa più positiva

Palazzetto d’epoca molto ben posizionato davanti al lungomare. Purtroppo e’ piuttosto decadente e non molto bene manutenuto mentre avrebbe delle ottime potenzialità. Prezzo eccessivo x la qualità dei servizi offerti.

Das hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage. Personal ist nett. Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Hygiene und Sauberkeit bewerte ich mit 0-1. Der Boden war richtig dreckig. Sehr schade!!!

The room was dirty, there was mould in the bathroom, shower was full of hair from previous guests, and the toilet was leaking. The balkony was full of dirt from birds, which of course is not the hotels fault, but they did not try to clean it either. No point in changing rooms, we went out on the balcony in the afternoon, and the neighbour nextdoor asked ut first thing \"is your room dirty too?\" Staff was friendly, but could only speak italian, so it was difficult. I asked for gluten free bread at the breakfast, the waiter looked at me and said \"oh\", and left. I thought she would bring med bread, or tell med that they didnt have it, but she never came back. Do not recommend this hotel, spend a little more money and choose another hotel.

Lati positivi: tutto lo staff è molto gentile! La struttura vista da fuori è molto bella e molto vicino alla spiaggia.
Lati negativi: le camere sarebbero da ammodernare. Avevamo una quadrupla, ma due letti erano inutilizzabili per via dei materassi. Per il resto tutto bene, colazione buona. Corrisponde ad un 3 stelle.
