Yes I stayed in room 101 and I had the best view of the strip and the beach. This hotel had amazing breakfast great staff I felt
So safe it was in the middle of everything. Very easy to get around and they are all so kind. I was traveling alone will be staying here again.

Very lovely hotel- front desk staff were wonderful. The beaches are gorgeous and recommend using the ones affiliated with the hotel for better rates on beach chairs. We had a really nice stay and wished we’d booked for a day or two longer. Breakfast buffet and a la carte options were super. Could only wish for perhaps more prompt service on the coffee front. Even on mornings when we arrived early it seemed a bit of a struggle. But that is maybe nitpicking. We also loved the lobby bar in the evening for a night cap and a card game. Overall fabulous stay. Thank you!

Hotel was excellent, staff were very helpful and responsive, room was in excellent condition, maid service was excellent, breakfast was very good, view from our balcony was excellent, location was excellent. Lots of restaurants on the promenade and food was very reasonable and top quality in the area. You can go on the ferry from the port to cinque terrre (great trip) and easily get to pisa to see the leaning tower and other attractions. It is well positioned for train and bus transport.

Minus points:

No pool. This was needed in my opinion - too hot in summer not to have one.

The hotel says it has a private beach in front on the advertisement when booking. They don’t tell you it is €30-40 euros per day for a sunbed, deck chair and unbrella. This added a lot to our already expensive holiday. The hotel should provide these free of charge.

The cost to get from the airport to the hotel in a cab was circa €150 euros. Total rip off. We got a train to pisa central, then pisa central to viareggio for €13 euros each. Cabs and uber locally are astronomical. Be advised - not the hotels fault.

It was our anniversary and the hotel did nothing. No wine, no fruit. You literally get two tea bags, two sachets of coffee and two bottles of water per day. Given the cost of the room per night it was disappointing.

WE HAVE A VERY GOOD STAY HERE!

Thai was a great property, lovely location with easy access to the rail network.
We had a beautiful double balcony corner room with marble tiles, amble storage and wardrobe space. Tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar that wasn’t overly expensive at all.
14 minute walk to the train station with easy access to regional and high speed trains.
Situated just over the main road to many restaurants, shops and of course the beach.
Breakfast was lovely with a good selection every morning. Staff were very friendly.
Sadly, we couldn’t eat in the hotel despite two nights of poor weather. The restaurant was closed, even to hotel guests for an American holiday tour (also staying in the hotel). We thought this was really disappointing and we had to walk out in the rain to eat. This was the only thing that let this hotel down.

Perfect place for Carnivale

Wonderful location for Carnivale, its on the parade route. The room is very bright but, they have electric blinds so you can adjust the light coming in. The breakfast is great it has lots of choices. The beach is just across the street. After we got tired we went into the bar to sit, watch the parade and have drinks, watching through their giant windows. great place with a caring owner and staff

A lovely hotel in a great location. We had a refurbished room that was beautiful with a South facing balcony. The room was well sound proofed and had all the comforts required. This was our favorite hotel during our stay in Italy. We stayed in a Prestige Room which was very large. The included breakfast was excellent. Marchello at the front desk is one of the best front desk managers I have met in my life. Having traveled all over Europe and much of the world along with having Lifetime Marriott Platinum Elite status from my thousands of stays in Marriott's gives me a lot of experiences. He suggested great restaurants, directed us to all the right places and even booked our train travel. His helpfulness and pleasantness made it a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel, well located on the seafront at Viareggio. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. The electric blinds are great for ensuring that the early sun does not wake you.
The breakfast was fabulous; it consisted of a buffet with an amazing choice as well as a made to order menu.
We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and the meal was well presented, reasonably priced and delicious.
All staff we dealt with were very helpful, polite and friendly; a credit to the hotel.
We had a fabulous stay- thank you Hotel President.

One of our favorite hotel stays on our 18 day trip to Italy.

We had a panoramic view of the promenade from our corner room. Pay for it because it’s worth it. Plus the breeze is amazing.

The restaurants are okay..nothing to brag about. Shopping is good and anything you need is conveniently close.

The beach is nice. You MUST rent a bike from within the park and ride the promenade. You can also ride within the park. Amazingly, my wife and I rode nearly 12 miles just cruising along enjoying the views. We stopped for food and drinks in the park, then grabbed a gelato on the promenade.

People watching is fun to pass the time.

Friendly staff especially the servers at breakfast. Although it’s not customary to tip in Italy..don’t be a tight ass and tip the workers if they deserve it!

Lovely hotel, just off the beach in Viareggio. Our room was modern and spacious with views of the water, and the AC helped cool the room on the hot summer days. The bed was OK, the hotel should invest in better bedding as the sheet was scratchy and lacking any duvet. The bathroom was beautifully renovated, with great water pressure. Breakfast was included which was a great perk, and they are affiliated with beach Irene (right across the street) which was also highly convenient and offered us beach towels daily. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

This hotel lived up to the 4 stars it has. The breakfast was excellent and the room was in the corner of the building so we had 2 windows looking at the sea. The bed was roomy and comfortable and the rain shower washed all stress away. The heated towel racks were a favorite of mine. The restaurant was not open yet but you had many options around the hotel. It has a great location being across the street from the free beach. We enjoyed having drinks in the lounge. FYI the laundry service is very pricey to use.

You promised parking in your advertisements and use of a pool opposite which did not exist !! We had to pay £80 Euros to park in the street and 150 Euros to sit on the Hotel supposed beach site which in fact was privately owned by someone else. The alleged discount did not exist.All photos are misleading as taken from across the road in the beach front gardnes. There were no garden areas nor walks as Hotel on road front. Derelict building site next door.

What a beautiful hotel! It is perfectly located... The beach is a few quick steps away, there are great restaurants, shops, and sites all within walking distance.

The rooms were spacious and clean. And a fun little perk was the balcony! Its a bit of a heat lamp during the day but a very charming space to relax on at night.

The staff was kind and helpful when necessary.

I highly recommend staying here!

We had a great experience, from the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms. Breakfast is excellent with something for everyone - the staff even brought us late risers coffee to our room. The front desk was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. One unique thing about Villareggio is that all the beaches are private- Irene , the one that the hotel has a deal with, is nice but we had a great day at Balene- more expensive but has pools.
We had just reserved 2 regular rooms but got 1 upgrade to a room w a sitting area. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked very well, and even though we didn’t have a sea view, the rooms got plenty of light. Overall we were very happy and would definitely stay here again.

Well located hotel right on the main strip in Viareggio. Room (standard double) was spacious and very modern with electronic controls for shutters and lighting as well as air con. Hotel is spotlessly clean and smells fresh throughout. Bathroom is modern with lovely toiletries. Staff throughout were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was possibly the best of our Tuscan trip in terms of choice. Would definitely return.

Room seemed newly remodeled with electronic access and touch screen electronic controls for air conditioner. Room 205 has a side sea view with balcony and it was fine. the bathroom was huge with high end fixtures and it was the best shower so far in italy...walk in shower..ahhhhh! Lots of storage for clothes and luggage. Safe with combo in room. Cleaning staff was fast and on time. Hotel is smaller than i thought but that added to exclusivity. breakfast was included and delicious with a big buffet! hotel had no pool or observation deck. we stayed on a holiday weekend and parking was difficult..about 1 km away but...it’s italy! can drop off bags at front door. highly recommended.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful seaside town. We couldn't have been happier with our room. All white, gorgeous furnishing, huge comfy bed, soft linen, fantastic shower and stunning products. Generous Nespresso machine. We always stay in rooms with a balcony and this had a side seaview and was perfect. The welcome, the staff, the cleaning team, all exceptional. Breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from. The location across from the beach is perfect and the beach club Irene is great. Get a gazebo/canbana, it's worth it in the heat. The food everywhere is out of this world. Italy is outle new favourite country and we will be back to Viareggio and this hotel for sure!

We were very disappointed because we paid a high supplement for a panoramic sea view room with balcony. However, the view was obscured due to scaffolding on the adjoining building and reaching within 1 metre of our balcony, with building work throughout the day
We had contacted the hotel beforehand to ask if everything was in order with our booking and were not told about this.

Nice hotel across the street from the beach and we had a great balcony looking out on the street and the beach. The bed was smaller and harder than we are used to as Americans but the lobby and the bar area were beautiful and the staff was very helpful.

Solo female Traveler applauds Hotel President.

As a solo female traveler I felt safe comfortable and relaxed at Hotel President. Perfectly located on the beach and great beach set up with beach Irene. Room was spotlessly clean and well appointed and loved my ocean view room. Staff was very accommodating and helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delightful, great selection including champagne. Enjoyed a glass of wine in the lobby bar complete with beautiful antiques. Totally delightful experience and I would DEFINITELY stay here again if I return to Viareggio.
