The photos are deceptive. The room was dirty. The duvet was stained and had no cover except two loose sheets. The managers were helpful if exceptionally sexist as they only really spoke to the male in our party of three. Food was ok but hygiene doubtful. Roof terrace bar was a couple of knackered tables without a bar. Room was ridiculously furnished with two massive loose headboards that obscured the light switches. Poor location out of town and very overpriced for what we received. Attention was on staff uniforms and a fake air of luxury.. the reality wasn't luxurious or even adequate.

The staff was great. They were always friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and the beds comfortable. The vegetarian breakfast was quite substantial and extremely delicious. While a bit away from the Old City, it was still within close distance by tuk-tuk.

A surprise haven during our travels. Warm welcome with drink and garlands. Room spacious with 4 poster bed. Availability of plugs near bed is one of my bug bears, and this was lacking, but a relatively small point. Main criticism is the quality of food at dinner did not match the rest of our experience. We would be happy to come back (but may choose to eat out)

It was amazing experience staying at Kothi Heritage. The owner takes personal interest in making sure that guests are comfortable and served best of their ability. The garden around the Kothi Heritage was beautifully maintained and the dinner table settings on terrace was very private and food was delicious. Breakfast had variety, quality and freshness.The room decor was unique and reminds the old days. The staff was wonderfully courteous and quick in providing any service requested.

The Kothi Heritage was a very pleasant and happy surprise! The hotel was very charming and the welcome and service by the staff were very warm. The owner himself welcomed as with marigolds and mango juice. The rooftop restaurant for dinner and the garden restaurant for breakfast were delightful. The food manager was very charming and friendly. The lobby store with very reasonably priced shop high quality and interesting local goods was a nice find!

A Brilliant Experience
What can I say! Top notch friendly service. We felt like we were visiting the nicest of relatives in the Kothi Heritage. Smiling faces, truly caring staff and sincerity is what most stands out about this place. Away but not too far from the busy Blue City made this stay ideal. I rate Kothi Heritage a 4.5. Had a very pleasant stay 4 nights at Kothi Heritage Jodhpur Nov 12-16. My room situated on top floor. Large. Huge bathroom and piping hot water. Large flat screen TV with tons of channels. Small fridge. Room quiet. A/C works extremely well. All that one could expect from a midrange accommodation to stay can be found at Kothi Heritage Jodhpur and meets expectations. In the USA I would call Kothi a Bed and Breakfast. The owner of Kothi H comes from descendants of four generations so it is the great great grandfather who built this large home. There is a large black and white photo of the house behind front desk in its glory from another time. Beautiful. Shows the house in a pastoral setting with nothing but farmland. Unfortunately, Today Jodhpur is urban sprawl but still captivating and exciting. The owner is so nice as well as all personnel who are very polite. Always a smile, and always willing to help out. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast delicious. Don’t go for western breakfast but traditional Indian breakfast which was delicious. Kothi is also safe. No security concerns. Pleasant so you experience old India. My only suggestion would be for Kothi to use some of the antique furnishings in the common areas and put in the guest rooms. Price very reasonable. Will definitely stay again on my next visit. Jodhpur is worth more than one visit!

It was a lovely peaceful haveli to stay in, location wasn't too far from clock tower area and the staff were lovely, really friendly and made the effort. The hotel itself is beautiful, looks a bit tired in places but it is clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and friendly too!

Very large room that could easily fit 2 extra beds for our sons - like a mini-apartment. The breakfast was pleasant, in the garden. The owners are Jaan and the food is vegetarian. Not really far from the old city and main attractions, but nothing around the hotel (restaurants, etc.)

Five star staff, helpfulness of a higher level
I arrived to The Kotti Heritage already late and was welcomed with a friendly smile and a necklace of flowers. Later on, in my room I felt sick. I was in pain and after a while I decided to call reception, This was one of those times in life that we never forget because getting the right help when you really need, in a foreign country, goes much higher than simply getting good touristic information or a good breakfast buffet. The people from the reception, namely Jay Pracash (I don't know if this is correctly spelt!), promptly provided a solution and took me in his bike to the nearest hospital, where I arrived in terrible pain. He accompanied me through all the complicated Indian process of hopital admission, he bought the the injections and tablets the doctor prescribed and took me back to the hotel, taking even care to clarify the prescription for me and explain how I should take my remaining medication. There is no way I can thank him enough for all this.

Wasn't too impressed with the manager, we asked for a taxi, but we felt he was making a cut from the price he quoted us. It was dearer than what we had for a full day and more milage, as appose to the half day charge. Apart from that, lovely service from the rest of the staff.

Our family trip to jodhpur was comfortable at the hotel. There is a nice atmosphere and they have hot bath and WiFi. One of the workers works a night shift and also in the morning at breakfast. He was very nice to all the tourists and our family which is a good tip!

The experience was very bad. The hotel people already gave my (booked) room to some other guy & when I arrived at the hotel they asked me to wait for the 5 hours at the reception itself. As they hadn't any room vacant for me instead of having confirmed booking with the hotel.

Very warm welcome from friendly, helpful owner. Beautifully restored heritage property. The room was most attractively furnished with period fixtures and fittings. A/C unit was modern, quiet and effective. The WiFi was reliable but not particularly fast. Buffet breakfast included in room rate was fine, though the selection could have been better. The restaurant served delicious, freshly prepared and reasonably priced food. The owner helped to arrange excursions. The hotel was not really within walking distance of any of the major attractions - auto rickshaw rides were needed though these were cheap and easy to flag down. The area directly surrounding the hotel has little of interest. All in all a very enjoyable stay in a property I can heartily recommend.

Extremely bad single day stay. Unnoticeable small hotel. The ACs weren't working causing multiple room changes. No phone/intercom in the room. Breakfast was minimal. Lizards in the room. Credit card machine wasnt working at check out. Would never visit again.

Beautiful haveli a tuktuk ride away from the centre of Jodhpur. We didn't mind it being further away as the room was very peaceful, which is what you want after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Breakfast in the garden was good, as was dinner on the roof with a view of the fort. Staff are super friendly. Our hot water didn't work on the second night despite turning on the immersion switch - we didn't ask about it though and I'm sure it would have been easily resolved.

Beautiful Haveli not too far from the old city
The staff were all excellent and made me feel very welcome. The haveli was really lovely with a huge main room furnished in period style for the age of the building. My room was huge with a four-poster bed, small entrance hall and bathroom. Fixtures and fittings were all in keeping with age of the building so don't stay there expecting things to be modern.
The breakfast selection was adequate rather than great, but I was perfectly happy with it. Wifi worked very well and for those needing it, the tv had plenty of channels to choose from.

Excellent heritage house. Felt like old Jodhpur. Greeted with glass of fresh juice and seated in wonderfully adorned room while passports/reservation info was processed. Nice touch.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We booked a deluxe room but were upgraded to their Executive Room. The major difference was that the Executive Room is a little bigger and the ones on the ground floor have a small private garden at the entrance perfect for relaxing.

Kothai heritage is a nice place to stay. It is not located in the best part of town granted. The staff is excellent and really take care of you. The breakfast is really good and rooms are clean. It's a very good value for the price you pay. We stayed for two nights and had an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful gem of a hotel
This is a beautifully restored small palace with gorgeous period furnishings from the 1800s. It has been in the current owner's \"Trideep's\" family for seven generations. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. There was a wonderful hot buffet breakfast served in the garden daily - truly delisious food. There is also free Wifi in rooms and a free computer with Wifi in the lobby for guests to use. Also, it is about a 3 block walk to many restaurants and shops. We liked it so much that we stayed there twice (both coming and going from Jaisalmer). I highly recommend it!

I had planned a 2 day trip to Jodhpur with my wife and son and chose this hotel basis the online reviews. I must say it was a great choice considering the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the owners themselves being available as required. The room was excellent - clean, well decorated with a great bathroom. The rooms looked out on a large terrace, giving it the feeling of space. Since we stayed there on \"Holi\" day, the owners celebrated Holi with the guests and there family with wonderful colours.. Recommended for families who don't need swimming pools or gyms !

Hide away in Jodpuhr
We stayed for one night while sightseeing in Jodpuhr and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a garden level room where privacy was a bi lacking would have asked for upstairs room if we had stayed longer. The food is very good -best veggie pakora- but only vegetarian menu. The owner is very nice during our welcome. It's in a side road of a busier street but very quiet.

From the moment you arrive, this hotel's charm is contagious. We were offered flower garlands and a welcome drink while being told about the history of this family operated haveli. Our room was spacious and beautifully made. The owners are wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant (giving us a packed lunch since we were leaving very early in the morning as well as complementary transportation to the train station).
The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 star is mostly for the Internet and shower. The shower's water pressure is not existent and the temperature is very hard to control. As for the Internet connection, it comes and goes every few minutes, making a simple search quite frustrating. The owners are aware of the Internet problem, the issue residing with the provider.
I strongly recommend this place as accommodations in Jodhpur.

A true heritage property
This is a true heritage hotel. We were greeted by the owner, who was thoroughly gracious. The décor is lovely, if quirky. We had a large bedroom that was ample to our needs. However, the property is not up to Western standards, for example, we had no hot water and could not shower (there may have been hot water, but we were not able to figure out how to get it). Winter nights in this part of Rajasthan are cold, and the room was pretty cold and the blankets were thin and inadequate. Breakfast is wonderful, but alfresco, and it was inappropriately cold. The Jain vegetarian dinner was excellent and graciously served as though we were personal guests. The neighborhood is isolated and noisy, and this is not a hotel for you if you lack a car and driver.On balance, we enjoyed our stay and I recommend this hotel.

Avoid staying in a hotrl with a geezer as there never is any water.
There was no water in the aunk.
I gave some laundry and they ripped my clothes and then did not want to pay for the damage.

Would recommend this hotel as it had good service, excellent wifi, and a great staff. The room and bathroom were very clean. The restaurant leaves food items to be desired but next door there is a nice Vegetarian restaurant that is more affordable and tastier. Would recommend people to stay here.

We arrive at the Kothi Heritage at 6am in the morning and they kindly let us into our room without any extra charge. The room was spacious with a four poster bed, tv, air con, fridge and separate bathroom. The decor is beautiful and traditional...so colourful! The hotel is a bit away from the clock tower market but there are always tuk tuks waiting outside and the lads in the hotel will suggest a fair price. Beside the hotel is 'gypsy family restaurant' and its delicious...as well as the cake shop!! Jodhpurs is a fantastic city and the Kothi heritage added to our stay greatly! The owners were kind enough to offer us a room on our last day as our train wasn't until 11pm. It meant we were able to shower after a day of site seeing!

We were so sad to leave this beautiful kothi. the owners and staff are outstanding. we were leaving early the morning of 27th March and they reorganised the holi for us so we didnt miss it. such a nice thing to do. the area isnt great but the kothi well and truely makes up for this. we also enjoyed the gardens.

Very nice hotel! The hotel is a particular style. I booked two rooms, which were different furniture and furnishings in the room. 24-hours hot shower was true. The staff were very nice.
