The food was great along with the service provided by the F&B staff in the dining area. They were very caring, polite and served with lots of love & respect. The hotel was spacious to walk around. However, the rooms, the wardrobes, the facilities, toiletries etc. did not have the mark of a 5-star Taj brand. They were equivalent to a 3-star rating. The iron malfunctioned, the fan was making noise and there was no special care & attention during our stay that would leave us with a WOW factor - it was totally missing. Only the dining area staff were doing a great job equivalent of a 5-star experience !!

We were warmly greeted with a refreshing sherbet and welcomed into this majestic palace hotel. The hotel revealed the beauty of a different era, but had all the modern amenities.

Then, when my mom unexpectedly fell ill, the staff went above and beyond to come to my mom’s aid including: bringing coconut water, kichdi, toast; having a doctor examine her in her room and even picking up medicines from the pharmacy. Thankfully, she fully recovered in a day.

We also were impressed with the level of pride and flexibility with the restaurant waiters and chefs. We ordered a mild version of Lal Maas, which seems very contradictory to the whole point of the recipe, but I was being cautious given my considerable weak tolerance level for spiciness. They delivered…it was very good.

So, a special thanks to Sachin, Shakti, Laxman and all the waiters, security, bellman that made our stay very comfortable.

Stay at Taj Harimahal was quite good. Especially set up evening events with local talent are a nice thought and always executed well by the staff. Staff is polite and helpful. Food was excellent.
Local travel organised through Bhupender Singh Rathoreji (8209915252) was quite good experience, he gave right advise and organised right driver / vehicle for the need, also very flexible with timing and not expensive, overall good experience.

Very nice property. Service was wonderful with the housekeeping and front office staff. Divvya was very good at recommending everything around Jodhpur and ensuring our stay was content. The facility provides a really nice swimming pool, spa and fun activity for the kids (magic show, puppet show). The shopping was excellent with authentic Jodhpur clothes and bags.

Lovely property, close to various sights. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Lokendra from housekeeping was wonderful and ran after us to drop off a piece of clothing we had accidentally left behind. Lokendra from the front desk was fantastic with all advice about sightseeing. We will come back!

Great hotel in an excellent location

Located within 5 minutes of the airport this is a super hotel. The hotel remains modern looking and is clean and tidy. From arrival the staff at the door are polite and friendly and this is continued with all staff through out the hotel. I arranged a site seeing tour through the hotel with a local guide, which was great value for money and well worth the effort. The rooms are spacious and clean and well maintained. Their is a great choice for breakfast both European and Indian foods along with fresh fruit and juices. Lunch and dinner in the restaurant the food was of good quality and was well attended by local families. A lovely hotel that i would recommend.

Narendra in housekeeping and Dulip and Gaje in the restaurant deserve a special mention for their hospitality and going out of their ways to make our stay more comfortable. Overall a great stay in the beautiful city. We will not hesitate to come back next time. Highly recommended!

Loved the hospitality right from the word go. From the front desk check in to the service in restaurants to check out everything was top notch. Finer details like providing face masks and sanitisers in room or sending menus through WhatsApp so one doesn’t have to scan QR code’s was much appreciated. Would specially like to thank Lokendra and Giriraj from front desk and Shivraj in restaurant and definitely Bhupendra from the concierge for making my trip so memorable

Great Taj service but rooms could use a remodel

Like many Taj properties this one is very well managed by operations manager Sachin. The service and staff are exemplary as usual and greeting very warm! Location is accessible to Jodhpur center by car but it's not located in an area you can stroll around comfortably. If you want to ensure a peaceful stay make sure to confirm with the property that there is no wedding party on site during your stay. There is a complimentary afternoon coffee service and an evening cultural program w/ magic & puppet shows poolside that keep families w/ kids entertained. We were upgraded prior to arrival and Sachin and staff were exemplary at check in and check out! Common areas are very grand but if you are searching for a cute romantic boutique property search elsewhere. For a solid business or conference option we are considering this very strongly!

Best hotel and superb staff for Jodhpur.

This is a grand hotel, from entrance to reception to wall paintings to room, everything is grand and huge.
Welcome is done with Indian style garlands (unique experience for hotel) and nice welcome drinks. No queue is required for check-in as hotel staff would come and take care of things.
You will find huge doors and palace like structures and beautiful huge wall paintings.
Near swimming pool they have evening local entertainment like folk dance , magic shows and puppet show.
Rooms are overall clean but I would expect more in this area. I was given twin bed room and after found room wasnt clean as per my expectations they moved to another room and there onward my experience with staff and service was EXCEPTIONAL.
My kids received 2 small cakes with their names written on it, next day I got anniversary cake, next day received 2 small camel figures and special Rajasthan local pens for kids. (Thanks to Sree)
Hotel managers Mr.Vijay and Keshav were fabulous. They packed special food including rolls, sandwiches, fruits , juices , chips and brownies for travel on last day.
Literally 6 guys took my luggage to car. It was personal care.

From the time we entered the property and were greeted with garlands and refreshing drinks, to the staff that checked us in, our experience was amazing. The check in and check out staff was very accommodative, extremely polite and it seems that for years the Taj group seem to have a promise - if something isn't right we will go lengths to make it right. At the restaurants again, the meals were delicious and service exceptional. We happened to one of the senior people know at breakfast that we were leaving for Jaisalmer after and he made us a snack pack for the road as he said your daughter hardly ate and she may get hungry. That's caring!!

The hotel is a very nicely put together walled garden environment in a quiet neighborhood. Very bad luck that the govt has put a flyover offramp just in front of the hotel entrance. The property was nicely maintained and the staff very responsive and attentive.

Not in a vibrant area or near the centre, the hotel has the advantage of being a quiet place to come back to.

Plan to stay here when you wish to visit Jodhpur. You shall not regret. Plan to stay for more than one day. It's more recommendable. Spare some more time in the hotel to do activities other than seeing jodhpur. It would be refreshing

I was originally confused by the discrepant reviews but after staying at the property I understand. The property itself on a large scale is quite beautiful but it needs a thorough renovation and better day to day maintenance on the smaller things. We asked for and stayed in a renovated room - however, while the room was beautifully decorated, the actual mattresses were low quality and not comfortable and the bathroom did not appear to be renovated (maybe it was as light renovation). Hopefully a more extensive renovation is planned for the bathrooms. In addition, upon closer examination, the carpets, the edges and the edges in the hallway were all dirty.

On a positive note, the service from the restaurant manager was over-the-top wonderful. His exemplary service alone changed what would have been a mediocre experience into a wonderful one. My 5 yr old daughter was upset at 10:00pm and hungry because she had not liked any of the food at dinner - the manager took it upon himself to make her all the things she likes and ensured a happy girl and mom before sleep.

Overall, the property has the makings of a 5 star property but just needs to be renovated more completely and maintained a bit better on the little things. We look forward to giving it another try because our experience with the staff was so great.

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel is very spacious as it is a palace converted into a hotel. Staff are super nice and helpful. The only thing that could have been better is all the plumbing inside hotel looks old so taps and faucets were not working properly. Everything else is excellent. Don't miss the Olympic sized swimming pool.

I am a great fan of Taj Hospitality but this time it was very disappointing specially food and service in restaurant. We took dinner and breakfast but both were not up to the mark and with poor service too.
As bridge nearby is under construction so it was noisy too. Plus is swimming pool.
To my great surprise they charged for some items which were not used by my kids in the other room.
I have so many fond memories of Taj at Maldives, Kumarakom, surajkund and so many places but this time it was not like Taj.
