Fantastic Manor House converted to a great boutique hotel.
I especially liked the dinner, wine and service. Breakfast was pretty extensive, with plenty for every taste. The bar has a terrace overlooking enormous ancient cedar trees and a golf course. Pretty damn good hotel.

A great hotel run by superb staff. Super friendly and helpful we would definitely stay here again. A spacious area for parking is directly in front of the building with easy access to reception. It’s very dog friendly - some hotel’s accommodate dogs but are barely tolerant this isn’t one of them. There are tracks to walk from the door in beautiful countryside.
The room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable and amenities similar to most hotels in this category.

Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of breads, meat, cheese and some fruit.

All in all a great stay made more memorable by the fabulous staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!

Really beautiful hotel, nice room, spa and pool facilities on excellent standard of golf course.
We however didn't have a car and it was an 20 min walk to an infrequent train station and buses only run close part of the day so you really need a car to easily stay here or be prepared to pay a bit for taxis.
If going for golf you definitely need to bring your own clubs, hire clubs at golf club were really poor quality, which was a shame as the course was really good.
I'd go back but with a car and my own clubs.

Beautiful hotel with tranquil surroundings. The staff were excellent at speaking English and they even had an English menu. The food was excellent, I especially loved the chicken ceasar salad. We didn't use the pool but it looked great and they had lots of games and a ping pong table to keep the kiddies entertained. Fantastic check out experience, the receptionist took the time to go through our bill and explain everything. Great room and the matress was so comfy. What I love about France is they use proper super king beds so there's no line in the middle like the UK. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Hmmm?! .. I was very disappointed when we arrived when told both the bar and restaurant were closed ( it was a Sunday eve!)
We had been driving for 10 hours! And completely drained and ravenous!
We were recommended a quiet bistro down the road though and it was very nice
Hotel is a bit dated but the room was much nicer than some of the other reviews suggested.
We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t review the quality
This was a one night stopover

A cynical, overpriced con of a place.

A complete con. The hotel's pictures show an attractive chateau; the actual accommodation is a concrete slab structure a 100m walk away down a rain-soaked path. Cold, no lifts. Restaurant closed due to Covid; the replacement is a meal on a tray that you carry, through the rain, to your room. Main course is a disgusting lamb-gristle and beans stew (no other choice). What a waste of money. The place is a cynical, overpriced con.

Great Stopover Location

Great small hotel on the golf course. Good place to chill out after 400 miles on the motorway. The food was excellent and it was a great alternative to staying in one of the branded hotels, shame I didn’t get the time to play the golf course. I have booked again for our return journey.

Not Great... Kitchenette was of very poor standard. Very shabby. No microwave.. They knew that I had a child with dietary needs and food had to be re heated... Even though there were 3 of us.. It was only kitted out for 2. One pot.. A frying pan.. ..As it was of substandard condition, we should have been charged accordingly Now for the good points.... Beds were comfortable.. Bathroom very clean.

Beautiful hotel, great food and pool.

Stayed in this hotel for one night en route through France with a 2yr old and 4mth old. Had a big family room with lots of space, pool was great, grounds were beautiful and dinner was delicious. Only down side was that the air con wasn't the strongest so our big room was rather warm but otherwise a great hotel.

Nice Hotel in France

We arrived at the hotel late after a very long drive, the receptionist was not very welcoming and actually looked and sounded quite miserable. The room was very clean and comfortable although the shower was very low and slightly awkward to use. The location was good for our needs as we had a car and were visiting friends near by. The price of the beer was extremely high and there was no outdoor seating unless dining, this was disappointing as we had to sit with the diners which was quite uncomfortable. The staff made us feel that we were not welcome and that it was strange that we should want to have a drink and sit outside. We did not have the opportunity to eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. On one occasion we were waiting for friends to meet us and there was no where to sit outside of the hotel. The young lady who cleaned the rooms was the only member of staff that was polite and greeted us with a smile.

We had a great stay here. We arrived after the restaurant was closing but they staid open and gave us our best meal to that point in France, and were even pleasant about doing so. Right next to a very well kept golf course, so things were very Tranquillity. Clean, comfortable rooms that was also very quiet.

Very disappointed, try Sofotel!

I thought we wells be staying in the main hotel, so it was a bit disappointing to be staying in the modern blocks. The room was ok with a kitchenette/hob/fridge useful, should of bought breakfast in supermarket and eaten in room because it was dreadful. 12.50 for adults 6 for children. Everything ran out! When I complained, when I paid they took one adult off but still was expensive. The walk wats to rooms need s good sweep and the balcony was covered in bird poo. The price of 148 Euros was too much standard of a f1 hotel. I won't use Best Western again put me right off.

We stayed overnight twice, on the way to and from a holiday further south of Poitiers. It took some finding, being tucked away on a secluded road, but the setting was good. We didn't use the restaurant at all, due to the distance between our room and the main building. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious.A function in the main building seemed to run on into the early hours of our first stay, with noisy guests chattering and slamming car doors, but, other than that, the only snag seemed to be the rather unwelcoming reception on checking in for the south-bound stay, when a little more consideration for tired guests would have been good.
Overall, it seemed a decent place to stay, and the price was good.

We needed somewhere near Poitiers for a short stay and hadn't spent long choosing this hotel. We were delighted with our choice. The grounds are stunning and the bar and restaurant superb. The Wi-Fi was excellent (not always a given) and the pool was a nice bonus for us. We had a 10 month old baby and the staff (all with excellent English to assist our dreadful French) could not have been more helpful. We had a family room which was a great size. Highly recommend this place if you want somewhere peaceful and secluded within easy reach of Poitiers and its airport.

Beautiful hotel spoilt by very poor service

This Best Western Hotel is located in a beautiful old French a Manor House, the rooms are a good size and generally well maintained. Sadly the whole experience was ruined by poor service and rude staff. We booked a table in the restaurant for dinner at 9pm and arrived promptly. After 30 mins we had to ask to see the menu and then after a further 30 mins my husband had to go and ask if we could order some food, the staff were quite rude, clearly we were an inconvenience ( maybe arriving by Harley Davidson motorbike had something to do with this). One of our meals was incomplete, apparently they had run out! they had also run out of bread rolls so we were given 3 slices of cheap white sliced bread ( with no butter) toasted as a substitute. The meals when they arrived were ok, but hardly what you would expect from a Michelin Recommended restaurant or from a Best Western Hotel. These issues might have been explained if the restaurant was full, but in fact there were only 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant.
Breakfast the next morning was also very poor; the orange juice had run out, there was no bacon and no bread despite breakfast supposed to be available until 10 am and it was only 8.30 am.
All in all well below the standards we are used to from Best Western.

This was a hotel with a split personality

Considering the chain uses the strapline Hotels with Personality, this hotel was a strange mixture. Not the most expensive hotel we could have stayed in but by no means the cheapest either. However, whilst the dinner we had in the restaurant was excellent and incidently quite expensive, this was contrasted by the room which was shabby with a bedside light not working and lights in the corridor outside not working. Presented as a venue for golf weekends, the bar doubled as the site for the breakfast buffet, restricting the seating in the bar to 9 chairs and three small tables plus a single stool, all surrounded by empty tables covered in white plastic sheeting. Hardly a welcoming environment for residents. The staff, although helpful, appeared overwhelmed and somewhat undertrained. The cheapest bottle of red wine was €26 and breakfast was €12.50 a head. Dinner came to €99. With the hotel in an isolated position there was no other choice. The room cost at £47 (say €60) was relatively cheap but was reflected in the shabbinesss of the hotel which, however, was a beautiful old building in a park setting. This was out of kilter with the prices charged in the restaurant. Not a formula for repeat business

Overnight stop on the way south

The hotel appears to have completed its renovations since our last visit last year. It is very comfortable and clean and is situated at a very convenient point for us when we are driving down from the Portsmouth-Caen ferry down to the Toulouse area.

The restaurant provides very good quality food at a very good rice and is also one of the main reasons for us choosing to stop off here.

One disappointment for us was the breakfast buffet. It was limited in selection, which seemed to be due to delegates at a business conference in the hotel beating us to breakfast. As the price seemed quite high for breakfast anyway, we decided to cancel our breakfast reservation and stopped off at a local boulangerie for something instead, which we will probably do again next time.

So, apart from the breakfast experience, we always look forward to staying at this hotel and will do so again every time we drive down to the south of France.

Good contrast with other overnight stays, proper hotel with luxurious feel. Lovely bedroom, comfortable bed, very important to us. We managed to take advantage of the swimming pool when we arrived as well. Didn't try the dinner as we had eaten in the day. Hotel in the middle of nowhere in countryside so it would have been a treck to go somewhere local to eat. Breakfast a bit pricey but plenty available. An enjoyable night.

Thuis must have been a delightful Manoir in its heyday but now it is rather tired. The decor has been \"updated\" but sadly not in the style of the former property.

The food was quite good but whilst the wine list was quite extensive and reasonably priced the staff did not know how to serve it. The glasses were not correct even though they were changed before we had the wine and the temperature of the wine was entirely inappropriate.

A Secret to Share

My wife and I arrived for check in at 4.00pm and we were warmly greeted by the Reception staff..The hotel is set in parkland with an adjacent golf course and we were able to take advantage of a swim and a sunbathe by the heated outdoor pool. Dinner was served either on the terrace or in the restaurant. There was a variety of differently priced menus with an excellent range of choices. The prices were very reasonable and compare with those of average French restaurants. The food was excellent however and was served by friendly staff who paid attention to detail. The room was small but very clean and well equipped with a full en suite and tea and coffee making facilities. Our leisurely breakfast was outstanding and besides all the usual continental breakfast fare there was a tureen of piping hot bacon ! Check out was midday and that allowed full use of the hotel's facilities without any pressure before we departed at 11.00 am. I would recommend this hotel for a really relaxing stay for one night or more.

good size family rooms with cooking facilities.

we only stayed as an overnight stay but our family room was bigger than expected with an adjoining room to the main room. The hotel room also had a small kitchen room with cooking facilities and a fridge. This is ideal for a family who may want to cook some nights rather than eating out.

The pool was clean and maintained and open til late at night. The restaurant was expensive and cost us as much as our room for the night. A good place to stay and plenty of space in the room for the whole family.

Lovely setting

It may add to the character of the place, but it really is not convenient to have a large beam jutting into your room - a tall person would find it very difficult to negotiate. Also, if a hotel provides liquid soap it should not require a big effort to squeeze it out! (Remember, some people have arthritic hands). Small points, but ones that slightly mar an otherwise good hotel in a lovely setting, with good service.

Very nice looking hotel, staff were excellent and very accommodating, upgraded to a prestige room due to a booking company oversight – this was very good value for the rate we paid, however like many Best Westerns it was a little tired around the edges. Needs a good clean, tidy up and repair. Good to see tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, but the small plastic cups were a big minus. Bathrooms on the small side but adequate. Did not eat in the restaurant. Breakfast quite expensive but very good… Breakfast room / bar very dirty and the carpet was filthy and needs replacing.

Best Western Manoir de Beauvoir Poitiers

The hotel was extremely good and the setting was spectacular a lucky find for us we would dearly love to stay there again. The food in the restaurant was excellent and although we do not speak French we were given excellent translation and description of the menu. The room was really nice with every facility, we would highly reccomend this hotel.

Great en-route hotel with good food

If your en-route and want a good hotel with good food for the night this hotel is fine. Vanessa was excellent in carrying out her job as receptionist. Great place if you want to see the medieval town of Poitier.

Two unfortunate incidents were created by one of the three receptionists I saw during my stay. The first incident involved the Hotel Key Card, She created a scene in front of other guests when it should have been resolved very quickly and easily. The second incident involved communication on the bedroom phone after my wife tried to contact me. Lots of problems and attitude with this receptionist - with no apology..

Not as good as the picture!

The airconditioning - quite essential on our first visit didn't work, but they did fix it,. Someone had stolen the shower rail and curtain so no shower and the bath was very small and uncomfortable. On our return, none of the lights worked in one half of the room and there was a HUGE bug carcass squashed on the wall. You are housed in a motel like building. Restaurant was nice - food very expensive, but that is France in general at the moment. Go to the Italian restaurant La Tavola a mile up the road to Poitiers by the traffic lights - especially for breakfast all home made bread croissants and petit pains FABULOUS! and we were only charged 6E. Evening meal was very good too, as was the Fischer beer. The Chef speaks English. A little gem of a place - you can park in the municipal car park - turn right at lights to get in. Overall, disapointed with hotel - but worth it for La Tavola

Chambre vétuste, prix élevé pour la qualité de la chambre qui se situe dans une annexe du manoir. Avions réservés le restaurant et nous l’avons quitté au bout de 30min vu qu’aucune considération n’a été de mise (pas d’eau en attente, serveur passant devant nous sans proposer quoi que ce soit …
Nous ne reviendrons pas

Lors de l'accueil, la carte bancaire est obligatoirement donné à l'hôte sans aucune transparence que ce qui va se passer pour l'empreinte bancaire, ce qui n'est pas convenable comte tenu que nous ne devons pas donner notre CB à quiconque. Lors du paiement, vous avez pu me présenter votre appareil CB et j'ai pu payer dans avoir a vous confié ma carte bancaire, ce que est la situation norma d'un commerçant. Je vous demande donc de respecter les règles des réseaux bancaires ( Visa et Mastercard) ou les commerçant doivent manipuler et effectuer le paiement à porté de vue du client pour garantir que le client maitrise l'opération. Ce sont des obligations contractuelles du commerçant dans son contrat de vente à distance / terminal bancaire.
→ En cas de non-respect, le commerçant est responsable en cas de fraude.
