The bathroom was disgusting look like it had mold. Everytime you turned on the light in the bathroom the electricity would snap. The ice machine is outside and looks like a fire hazard. Could be a really cute hotel. The must have smoked in it years ago because the halls smell like stale old cigarettes.

There was mold in the bathroom and the elevator was broken for the entirety of our five day stay. We had to haul our bags up and down three flights of stairs and were not offered assistance by any staff members. The rooms were not cleaned once, towels were merely replaced. The staff also could not located our reservation at first and subsequently charged us a hidden fee of 34$ per day for a “resort fee.”

The elevator was out for the entirety of my stay and I was on the top floor. That was a huge inconvenience. The room was very dusty - especially in the closet. The suite is big and the kitchen equipment was all very clean and working. The bathroom is very small and there is no hook or rod to hang your towel on. There was a hole in the bathroom mirror with exposed wiring. The gentleman who checked me in was kind enough to carry my bag upstairs since the elevator was not working. It's a great location.

Honestly a really solid place to stay, the room was clean and the staff was super friendly! The lobby is really small and the elevator is small and old but still completely accessible and a good sized room. The bathroom had no door which was random and surprising lol but I’d stay here again for sure. Really good price point for south beach.

Although a pool is pictured in the Hotel's amenities, it was not available for use! Although a pool at another hotel was offered, but the distance was not as close as I was led to believe. Also, the kitchen was clean and decently stocked, a blender would have been convenient and necessary! And window shades were missing in the bedroom. Curtains were there, but no window shades, as in the front living area.

Otherwise, my stay was pleasant! The Hotel location is extremely convenient to all restaurants, stores, transportation, beach, etc. No complaints on location.

The hotel is located in a continent area. We were able to get to our destinations with a short. Staff was very nice however they did have me sign something that they didn’t give me the chance to read an said that they would explain what was in it but gave no explanation.

what a joke. While location is excellent, no other positives come to mind. They advertise free breakfast - lie (no bfast), room is old, elevator was out half the time, checkin took a long time as receptionist was smoking, pool is advertised - in reality a fountain unfit for human swimming

The hotel was great! It’s a little older but we enjoyed the place, it has such a quiet vibe. You could sit outside in the evening in their open garden and relax. Our room was clean and comfortable! Ezekiel and Nathaniel were top notch. Any questions or issues that we had they completely took care of them. Ezekiel went above and beyond for us. So friendly and personable. We enjoyed being treated so warmly by him. Natalie was not very personable and very unapproachable, just overall unfriendly when at the front desk. Would definitely stay again.

It is a dump with horrible customer service. Have a reservation issue? Call this number and it hangs up on you. Want to speak with a manager during business hours? Sorry there is not one. - We had 5 living spiders in our room of different species. I ended up getting bit in my sleep. I have two dark purple bites about the size of a penny that are increasing in size.
- The ‘pool’ is 6 feet across and 3 feet wide, with a depth of about a foot and a half.
- They do not have an airport shuttle as described, so we had to pay for a $50 uber.
- The bathroom had no xoint

They best thing about our stay was how friendly Ezekiel was. We checked in at 11:50 pm and we were sooo tired. When we got to the room we were like, cute!! Then came the disappointment... The pillowcases were stained and yellowy. The sink dripped underneath, the shower leaked water outside the shower door. The water wasn't hot enough. The couch was stained we had to cover it with a blanket to sit. The living room tv was broke. There were no more vacant rooms and we were only there for the night so we uncomfortably sucked it up and slept 4 hours. The courtyard it pretty though..

Bedroom door cannot close due to bed positioning in the room.
Only one TV remote for two TVs in the room. Five channels, ranging from Nickelodeon to Food Network.
Sign said free breakfast but it was just “fresh coffee” from 8-10am.
Pool is basically a cold jacuzzi, open 8am-8pm.
They announced our room number aloud with others in the room, a serious safety hazard.
Shower pressure mediocre, and temperature was never stable.
Elevator didn’t seem to work after 11pm, or it was broke down.
One amenity is a free cocktail… at a different hotel 1.5 miles away.

Location is impeccable. But that’s the only positive.

It was extremely cold in Miami, and the hotel had no heat. The wi-fi connection was also terrible as well in our room. While I liked the spacious room, the lack of heat made the stay difficult. They also charged me a resort fee and rushed my wife and I out, even after requesting a late check-out. We tried to be understanding, but it left a bad taste.

The suite was cozy and clean, they offered an opportunity to have open bar for an hour, and use the pool at a sister hotel, which was a good option, even if we didn't get to use it. Some negative things were that Expedia said all taxes and fees were included, and then we had to pay a resort fee when we got there. Also, when I called the hotel, they said they offered breakfast to all guests, and it was only toast and jelly.

I paid for a reservation from December 29 to December 31.
I arrived at the hotel at approximately 5:00am on December 30 and attempted to check in.

I understand forfeiting the first night due to late arrival. However, I was present on December 30 for the second night, which I had fully paid for.

Reselling the room while retaining my payment constitutes double-charging for the same night. I am requesting a refund for the unused night (December 30–31).

If this matter is not resolved, I will pursue a chargeback and escalate the complaint to consumer protection authorities.

The woman at the reception desk was extremely rude, upon my arrival.
I was told that that there would be 24 hour service. And someone would be able to open the gate door for me after 11pm if I forgot my code. But that was not the case. I had to book another place to stay, bc no one answered the phone or the entrance when I got back the the hotel after 11pm unacceptable.

First suite given to us the sink was not working and the kitchen light had electrical issues. We were given a second room, but then the glass shower door would not close in the bathroom and therefore the bathroom door could not close. The smoke detector also had plastic covering on it. Maintenance and manager were already gone in the evening. I told them that we can't keep changing rooms as I had my 14 year old niece and we needed to be somewhere that night. They did fix the door the following day while we were out. Cherry on top was that the room had few tiny roaches (saw 3-4). I was so tired of finding things, we just decided to deal with it. They offered no compensation or anything to make the stay better, and said they don't do that. I would have been happy with some snacks and soda. I would not stay here again. Two stars for the location.

The condition of the room was not up to par. Paint was peeling there were stains on the curtains floors were dirty as well as the table and stove. There was a window in the shower that you could see out and people could see in who wants to take a shower with an open window you can see out of. Also was charged a 34.20 resort fee that was not stated I would be charged on Expedia website it said all fees and charges were included. Place looked very sketchy and will never stay here again I am highly disappointed.

This hotel was definitely not what i expected. I was misled to believe this was a resort.
The pool was extremely small and dirty.
There was no light in the living area
I was given a room that did not sleep 4 people even though thats what i requested.
The TVs only had one channel that didn’t work.
There was absolutely nowhere to put any items (dressers/drawers/soap dish/towel racks or any counter space in the bathrooms.
The couch was extremely hard to sleep on
The corner room i was given had a terrible view of the back of different buildings. The staff talks you into writing a good review for this place just to waive the early check in fees.

Hotel Metropole Suites South Beach is asking me for an additional $134. Cancel the reservation. Refund my money. The hotel is scamming me. They didn't give me my room key even though I paid for the room with taxes. They copied my ID. I contacted Expedia Help and called, but no one responded. They refused to let me into the hotel. Refund my entire deposit immediately.

Me and my sister enjoyed our stay quite a bit! The rooms were very nice and so was the staff. The only issue was the HIDDEN FEES. I book via Expedia which guarantees no additional costs, but there was an underlying resort fee that I wasn't expecting. Other than that, our stay was lovely. Looking forward to popping in very soon.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at both check in and check out. The hotel is set up nicely and feels much more intimate than the large resorts.
The only thing that had me lower my rating was an evacuation. There was a fire in the middle of the night. We were all executed due to the alarm. There was no communication during or after the event. There was some chatter the the fire was extinguished and contained to one room, but hotel staff never addressed us. It was unsettling.

I like the homey feel of the rooms. We were able to cook in the room. There were very limited dishes & cookware. We had 2 family members stop by which was staying at a nearby hotel & we couldn’t even off er them a glass of water because it wasn’t enough glasses. Also we were only given 2 wash clothes the whole 4 days we stayed. The jacuzzi pool downstairs was filthy. I never seen them clean it. The staff also had a language barrier so I was unable to explain my needs.Would I stay again? Possibly, if there was nothing else available.

I definitely don't wanna call this place dirty. However, I have been staying here often on for the past 10 years and it has significantly gone down. The place needs a good deep cleaning and the rooms need to be revamped. Everything looks a bit rundown the rugs need to be shampoo desperately and the place is just giving a very rickety feel. I love this hotel and I have stayed here throughout the years and it is just going down.

This property needs to be renovated there is a mildew smell in the down stairs two bedrooms. The staff texted every morning asking if the room needed to be clean no one never came. Really disappointed because I have stayed here in the past. I love the fact is is centrally located and has Fat Tuesday attached.

Metropole was recommended by a family member. Staff was accommodating and very responsive. Nice central location. The place is not luxury and was very much over priced due to big festival at South Beach. It was ok - but I was disappointed that there was no breakfast….just coffee. Be careful turning on the water in the bathroom sink…you or the floor will get wet. Sister hotel was a long walk for happy hour but it was so worth it! We went back three times to Maxs Bistro because the food and service were excellent. Overall would not return but that doesn’t mean it’s bad, I just need better for the price.

This hotel is extremely old, and everything inside is outdated. It’s so old that even cleanliness doesn’t seem noticeable. The entire place, especially our room, had a horrible smell that lingered and even stuck to our clothes. While the staff was friendly and polite, and the location was good and felt safe, I wouldn’t stay here again and cannot recommend it to others. The condition of the hotel is just too unpleasant to overlook.
