The property has plenty restaurants nearby, the Metro station was 5-10 min walking, the hostess is very nice and friendly. The room was very clean including the bathroom, breakfast is included and they offer yogurt, water bottles, toast, croissants etc. We stayed 2 nights and the second day they refill everything for breakfast and cleaned the room. We had a great stay in Charming Roma! 😊

I’m not really sure why people gave this place a 10/10. The room wasn’t super clean and the bathroom had a weird smell. The bathroom’s wall and ceiling were painted black, which made it incredibly dark as there were no windows. There was a lack of explanation about the different keys on the keychain and how after hours works. My first night I was locked out of the building for 15-20 minutes because one of the keys fit in the front door but didn’t unlock it. I had to call the number listed on the door 4-5 times before someone answered and provided me with a code to get in. They do give you a croissant for breakfast every day, but I usually didn’t get mine until the evening due to leaving early for tours. The location is good as it is close to the metro station and Vatican City, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Great stay with Charming Roma

Everything was amazing. Centrally located. Walkable to the metro and bus. In the Prati district, close to shopping and lots of restaurants. Walking distance to a laundromat, self service or full service.

No breakfast breakfast, but they do give croissants, jams, nutella, honey, fruits, juices, room is equipped with teas and a nespresso machine. And Water. That they refill everyday complimentary.

The only con is the room door needs to be lifted slightly while locking. Which can be a little tricky.

Communication with the property was 100% smooth.

Was able to extend easily.

Great little place. What we really loved about it was how walkable the surrounding area was. About a 15 minute walk to the Vatican museums and about 30-35 minutes into the center of Rome. Tube and bus routes were also within 5-7 minutes making it super accessible. Great dinning options within 100-200 meters. We really enjoyed the daily brioche they would order for us as well as the restocking of water and juice in the mini fridge which is all included in the price. The rooms are small, but great for two people. Lastly the Aircon worked great, which was absolutely necessary during these hot Rome summer days.

I had a wonderful time at Charming Roma this past week. Lorenza and Federica were very kind and helpful. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and a short 5-minute walk from the Ottaviano metro station. The Vatican is also a short 15-minute walk from here. They arrange for fresh croissants to be dropped off every morning; keep your fridge stocked with water, fresh fruit, orange juice, etc.; and tidy up your room every day at no additional cost. I would highly recommend staying at Charming Roma.

Charming Roma is perfectly located for exploring the Vatican area with excellent transport links to the rest of Rome. The staff are lovely and they bring you a croissant from a local bakery every morning- a gorgeous touch! The terrace is lovely to sit on when the weather is nice. I’ll absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Rome.

We hade a wonderful visit and was very well treated! my wife hade her birthday and after a long day walking we hade a bottle of rose waiting for us at the room, so nice.
They also fixed the airport transfer wich worked super and was at uber price level. Placed in a good neighborhood very near the vatican but not touristy. Would definitely stay her again

Quaint stay near Vatican City

Nice stay close to the Vatican City. Room on the small side, but comfortable with good amenities. There is no on-site parking, even though it said it was available, so we had to find a garage several blocks away and pay 40 euros per day, so be ready for that. Locks are a little tricky as you have keys for a front gate, door to the hotel, and another key to your room. Front desk is staffed minimal hours. But overall proximity to historic sites made it a good choice.

Charming Roma is situated in good location, which is only within 10-minute walk to St Peter’s Square and the Vatican City. It is also surrounded by supermarkets and a lot of nice restaurants. If you want to travel to other part of Rome, it is only 5-minute walk to the Metro station.
The place is clean. The breakfast is continental which you can find fruits, yogurt, orange juice in the fridge. Croissants will be provided at 8:00am in the morning. If we will go out before 8:00am, they will leave the Croissant inside your room, so you won’t miss anything.

It is a lovely little place.

We stayed there for 4 days in March and we loved it. It’s in a nice and quiet neighborhood but very convenient and easy to get everywhere. Walking to St. Peter’s Square takes 15 minutes or so, Castel Sant’Angelo is 15 minutes in another direction (by the way it is definitely worth visiting). There is a subway station 5 minutes away and the ride to the City Center is like 10 minutes or so.

The room is not large but it’s very comfortable and clean. We slept very well because the beds were comfortable and the place is very quiet. You get a breakfast every morning (croissant or sandwich), there’s a fridge with free fruit, water and fruit juice that they replenish daily. There is a Nespresso coffee maker in the room and you get 4 pods every day. You can’t smoke in your room, there is a covered terrace for that. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and attentive and they spoke English very well.

Overall, we were very happy with the place and couldn’t find any shortcomings.

We definitely recommend!

Charming INDEED!

Amazing stay. It was the most convenient location you could imagine. Everyday our room was cleaned, there was a restocked refrigerator and for breakfast there are always fresh croissants. If you are going to be out in the morning before 8am just let them know that you won't be there to get the croissants so they don't order them. I really enjoyed our room. They also provided a bed for our toddler. Easy to get to. Take the bus from the airport then an taxi (free now) from the train station. After that the train is but a short walk away. Everyone there making your stay the best were the friendliest people you will ever meet.

This was a super place to stay . Quiet, beautiful , very clean, modern with character …. They made sure I was comfortable and their car service from the airport to the hotel ( 60 euros which is not bad at all ) was a real help to get there .
I will stay there again, beautiful and safe area close to everything’s .

Chic small clean comfortable modern guest house with 6 rooms and small terrace where you could have the continental breakfast provided in your rooms with mini bar having fresh fruit, yoghurts, orange juices, water alongside tea and coffee and fresh croissant of your choice . Close to ottaviano metro / Vatican area and nice trattorias nearby . Don’t expect a hotel but great value and friendly English speaking hostess- not always on site but uses WhatsApp to communicate when needed/ reply to questions /advise codes to get in. Happy to organise taxi pick ups to /from airport if required.

The guesthouse is conveniently located in Prati, closer to Vatican City than to the rest of the tourist areas. A bit more residential.

The staff is very friendly and responsive.

The guesthouse is quite noisy, you hear everyone checking-in/out, entering and exiting the property, opening the rooms, vacuuming, etc. Does not feel very private.

Beds and pillows could be of better quality.

Bathroom is very very small, specially the shower.

Lorenza is absolutely wonderful. She is communicative and truly cares for her guests. She accommodated our request for a larger bed and was so helpful in providing guidance and directions. The property is safe, quiet and cozy, very clean and comfortable. It is centrally located near Vatican and many other walkable sites and shopping. Each room has a fridge and is stocked with water, fruit and yogurt and she brings your choice of fresh croissants daily. I will book this location again if we return. Thank you charming Roma and Lorenza for making our stay memorable.

Admittedly this was my first B&B experience. Based on movies and the reviews I expected it to be our B&B dream. For starters, the location shown on the map was different than where it is not a huge deal. I expected it to be closer to city center of Rome though. We were charged additional fees even though the taxes and fees were to be included per Expedias usual guidelines. The check in was difficult because the staff could not speak any English. A/C was expected to only be on if we really needed it. When we would leave each day, staff would turn the A/C off so we always came back to a hot room after walking around the city all day in high 90 degree heat. Expect to bring your own soap and conditioner. Since staff couldn’t understand English-it was easier to just go buy what we needed. If the person staying in the room next to you in a snorer, expect to hear that quite well. The TV only goes to volume 10 which does little to drown out the noise of other guests. Also there’s only 3 English channels and they are news. Sadly you won’t be able to hear it because the English channels are much quieter than the others- turning on Closed Caption isn’t an option. All in all it’s a good, safe, clean place to spend the night. No one interacts here and there’s no sweet person to have a conversation with. So if you’re looking alone and quiet about 2.5 mi from things to do, this place is for you. Don’t eat the restaurant across the street that says it’s been open since 1922- it’s tasteless

Nice clean modern room and good location. Plenty of facilities however the room was outside the reception area and on the front street at ground level. The room was noisy from both sides, outside was sirens, bin men, noisy shouting till past 12 pm, this started again at 6am.
I really did not get a good nights sleep however the owner did apologise for the noisy reception.
Staff were unable to speak English which made it difficult at check in.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Lorenza and staff are extremely helpful, friendly & welcoming. Main area is very clean & smells lovely as you enter. Rooms are spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable. There is everything you would need provided! Loved that there was English breakfast tea (visited Italy previously and this was hard to find when out) the minibar is also included which I think is amazing for the price; water, fruit & yogurt daily as well as getting a croissant each morning. All very nice touches! The location is perfect as it is quiet but walkable to all the main attractions. Would definitely recommend staying 😊

Let me start by saying Lorenza was very kind, helpful, welcoming and friendly. She had immediately showed and explained to us how we should get around the city. The property has only 6 rooms. We were assigned 2 beds@Room 5. The room is spacious with mini fridge that is being replenished with yogurt, water, orange juice , butter daily. They also provided snack bar with crackers, Nutella, honey, tea , water , jam or marmalade, plus nespresso machine for your espresso coffee. Also in the morning you have your free croissant. The bed is very comfy and with clean fresh sheets. The toilet is always clean with Salvatore Ferrargamo shower gel, shampoo and facial soap. It has also a bidet. The area is very quiet. Very walkable to Ottaviano Metro Station and the St Peter Basilica/Vatican. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, there is also a laundry mat few steps away which they wash and dry your clothes so clean and smells so fresh. During our stay the whole place was quiet. We will give this property more than 5 stars. We even saw how the housekeeper clean one of the rooms . She really deep clean them moving all the furnitures and bed. If I have two minor concerns, they have only one flat iron , I love to iron out our clothes lol . I wish they have flat iron. And ironing board in its room. But not a biggy. can always ask Lorenza for the iron. And also I wish they have a water dispenser on the main hallway for guest esp. during night time. All in all 5 stars. Highly recommended .

The property is in a good location. Quiet, clean and safe are. Lots of restaurant. Just a walking distance to St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museum, and Sistine chapel. Metro is also walking distance from the property so it is convenient to take the train going to the other tourist spots. Breakfast is also provided which includes croissant, toasted bread, jam, butter, Nutella, espresso coffee, tea, juice and fresh fruits. The room is spacious, clean and looks new. Highly recommended. Will stay again if we visit Rome.

Friendly and convenient place to stay

Very small hotel only 6 rooms but everything was very new. Room was quite spacious and well decorated. Close to the Vatican about a 10 minute walk but most of the historical sites are within a 30 minute walk. Shops and restaurants nearby however avoid the one on the opposite corner, rubbish food and rude staff. The owner is lovely and will help in any way possible would definitely stay here again

The place is ideal for a couple or single person travelling. Perfect location for those that like to walk as all the major tourists areas are within walking distance. The owner has exceptional customer service and on arrival took time to go through all the areas to visit and had a map ready which we found really useful. Our stay at Charming Roma was excellent, we were greeted with a friendly smile when we arrived, our room was spotless and although we were on the front of the property facing the road, it was very quiet. The room had everything we needed and the beds are super comfy. The fresh croissants every morning are a nice touch and goes down well with a coffee to start your day. Would definitely recommend and would look to stay here again if we visit Rome.

We had an amazing stay here. We were within walking distance to all of the attractions we wanted to visit! There were fresh croissants delivered each morning, and Lorenza was truly amazing. She helped us get our transportation to and from the airport and arranged it multiple times when we had to change our flight last minute to get home. There is a lot of shopping and dining around the hotel but yet it is so quiet! We would definitely recommend :)

This small property was well located and had everything we needed. Mini fridge, slippers, shower cap etc. We asked for an extra pillow and got one the next morning. It was cleaned to a high standard every day. It’s quiet, small and easy to access. The host had great tips and advice for the area. The breakfast was great, croissants were delicious!
