Breakfast was good. The problem was that I explained I needed Wi-Fi and they didn't have it. I had to go to the restaurant to get a signal. When I wanted to speak to a staff member, there was never anyone at reception. When I tried to shower, I basically needed 40 minutes because the water wasn't flowing enough to wash myself. For the price they charge for accommodation, it doesn't seem right to me.

The staff was nice when we got there. During our stay we did have to look for staff to help us as one woman seemed to be running the cafe and the hotel. The room was over crowded with beds. There were unpatched holes in the walls in the room and bathroom. There was dirt and hair behind the toilet. There was not the proper remote for the tv and the curtain was falling off the wall. It was a lack of attention to detail. It was not worth the money.

We arrived to the properry late, so didnt get ro experience anything around it. However, the staff was super friendly when we checked in and the next morning for breakfast and checking out. They provided a shuttle to the airport for a fee. Getting their shuttle to pick us up at the airport was difficult but only because we got in late due to delays with airline. We had to take a taxi from the airport to the property. As soon as we exited the airport, there were several aggressive taxi drivers looking for a fare...

It has a homey feeling. A few things did not work such as bedside lamp, Tv and wall plugs but staff did her best to rectify what she could. Bed was super comfy and clean. Facilities need some tlc. Felt safe and nice gardens to sit in shade. I would stay there again as reasonably close to airport. 3km. Close to beach. 5 minutes but not so easy to find way through the condo build up along the water front. Not much around for dining. More residential area.

Pros:
• The staff are friendly, reflecting the Caribbean hospitality.

• Its location is very close to Lynden Pindling International Airport.

• Public transportation is available for reaching downtown, for all the action. Do your homework, drivers tends to do an up charge from the actual change.

Cons:
• Hidden fees are a significant drawback, charges only revealed upon arrival after question.

• Guests with early flights (before 2 pm) must arrange their own transportation, as the property does not offer pickups and imposes additional fees for the shuttle.

• The semi-breakfast service, available only on request, comes with unclear serving times.

• The rooms, furniture is outdated. Find mold and mildew.

• Staff’s use courteous responses as a marketing tactic rather than addressing underlying issues.

• The advertised beach, although located just across the road, is on private property with restricted access. Guests using bypass routes do so at their own risk, having to climb over several barriers. Not recommended especially for ladies.

• Local restaurants are difficult to reach on foot no sidewalks on the main road.

• Community is very quiet; but difficult to get a good night rest. You can hear every conversations that take place. Bathroom water fill up all the time. No hot water.

You get what you pay for.

The place is in the middle of nowhere. You need a car if you want to do anything. It could use a little bit of renovation.
You need to pay to get water, even at breakfast. They don't offer any tea for the room. One of the stoves did not work.
Breakfast is pretty limited.
I think it's what you got to expect for the price.
Aside of that, the staff was pretty helpful and nice. It is a family owned place. They helped us order pizza and cut some coconuts for us.

The door is locked at night. To get in you ring a doorbell that awakens the ENTIRE hotel. They’ve rented out half the rooms to an American energy company who's workers basically live there now. Trust the bad reviews. Stay elsewhere.

The isn’t the fanciest, but the staff is working hard to update. The best part is the value for the price and the wonderful staff. Friendly, helpful. Breakfast is a great added benefit (not just continental). Sitting out by the pool with the breeze was lovely. A very short walk to the beach. It is in flight path to airport but no flights overnight. Beds comfy. Chill atmosphere and without a huge crowd.

Love this place! It's great for people transiting between Nassau and other islands. The shuttle is convenient and won't cost an arm and a leg like those other taxis at the airport. It's also a short walk to love beach where there is a bar that serves really good conch fritters! The beach nearby is lovely and very quiet.

The beds in the hotel is firm, which your mileage may vary but perfect for someone like me. Staff was super friendly. FYI, for other reviewers who said the place is dark and dingy, they keep the lights low because Nassau can get hot! They do that to keep the hotel cool. Definitely recommended.

The Golden Palms is close to the airport but it’s difficult to walk anywhere as there’s a lot of traffic and no shoulder or sidewalk.
The place itself is clean and the staff are friendly but the shower barely works (no pressure) and was only lukewarm.

Awesome first time visit!!

I know I'm a few months late with my review. First time my cousin and I visited the Bahamas. I must say the hotel staff and overall friendliness of the citizens of the Island were great! I can't wait to come back and I will definitely reserve a room at the beautiful cozy friendly place. The beach was also beautiful and very close we were able to walk and the breakfast served was wonderful. Thank you for being a part of making our first time and stay a wonderful experience. The room I stayed is rather small, doesn’t even have a table for simple work. Bath room is tiny, and had an unpleasant smell. Sink is so small that I cannot even put a cup on the side. Guests next door were rather loud, woke me up 2 AM in the morning. Shuttle to airport is not cheap at $20

This was such a great find to stay at! Staff is super nice and answered any questions I had. Had great food recommendations within about a 10 minute walk. There are no sidewalks so please be mindful of traffic. The beach entry was a little scary but I found my way and it opened up to a beautiful oasis. I love how quaint this B&B is. It feels so personal and like home! So glad I stayed here

Very clean with comfortable beds. Room had air conditioning with en-suite facilities. Room condition slightly dated but fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast of cereals, coffee and a choice of hot cooked options. Lovely garden with shady trees to relax in and literally only a few minutes walk to the beach. Nirvana beach was 7 minutes walk and, for a $5/person fee gave you access to a great beach, showers and rest room. Nirvana also has a beach front bar/cafe where you can enjoy conche and fries for $17. The hotel also offers a drop-off/pick-up airport service for $20 each way.

I can say I booked the B&B with normal expectations. I travel often to Nassau so I'm always looking to good places to stay at good prices. Unfortunately this property is not one that I will recommend. The check-in process was a quick process. I booked prepaid so only a small charge for incidentals was done. Ok.vI was informed that breakfast is served free between 7am and 10am and that was it. No more info.
The room was outdated and looks old. Bed was ok with clean sheets. In the bathroom the water supply was intermittent and one day we were completely without water. The drain on the sink was leaking to the floor. The Shower was ok but drain clogged easily.
The 1st. morning I went for breakfast at 7:30and nobody was in the area. Wait and call but nobody showed up. Returned at 8 and wait until 8:30 and nobody showed up. There was another guest waiting but I can't wait longer so I left and have breakfast in another place. Later on my return at evening I asked what happened and lady told me she didn't know about nobody was there at breakfast.
Next morning went for breakfast and the lady came to take my order. From the menú I selected the bagel with eggs and sausage. To my surprise what came was 1 bagel and 1egg scrambled. I asked if this is normal serving portions and lady said that's what management order. Imagine a big guy like me with a 1 egg scramble and 1 bagel breakfast. I can't recommend this place to anyone. Only good thing is close to airport location and good AC.

My fiancé and I had a quick 1 day stay in the Golden Palms. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and air conditioned, the pool area was beautiful, the breakfast was good and communication to get the airport shuttle and check in and check out was very simple and quick. There are a couple of places to eat within walking distance and if you want to go in town you can catch the bus for $2 right outside the gate. This was the perfect place for us and we can’t wait to come back!

Staff need to be more pleasant and welcoming. ALL. not one or 2, but ALL. The gardener was so nice. The property needs a male staff to lift guests' suitcases to their rooms. Steps and lack of elevator are not acceptable. The best service I love is to feel welcome and pleasant. The gardens need to be redone. The property needs to have transportation to downtown at a fee, maybe at a set time. The lack of pleasantness scares me and that is a turn-off for me. Staff faces are cold and not inviting. There is a lack of awareness of customer service overall. Services are delivered, YES, but they lack warmth.

1.The location of this property is 15 minutes from downtown which was very inconvenient. We had to get a car or take a taxi (hard to find, takes forever).

This place is a ripoff. Our flight came in late at 10 pm and we had to take a cab because the hotel shuttle apparently shuts down in the night. The cab driver was rude and obnoxious. Charged us $30 to bring us here.

The reception was a single, unfriendly person who sat behind a darkly lit desk.

This was a super great option staying close to the airport for the night before heading out to another island. It’s within walking distance to a number of great restaurants, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, and just a great overall experience. It’s also, the cheapest thing on the island and People who complain about stuff seem to not understand how things work and have ridiculous expectations. I would definitely recommend staying here.

There was no one staffing the front desk two times including checkout! I was told on my first breakfast that the breakfast area would be closed from 7-9am but breakfast would be available at 9am. I went at 9am and No one was at the front desk. There was no coffee cups or even a piece of fruit. Second morning I went down for breakfast and again nothing was out for breakfast and no one at the front desk. I waited around and finally a nice lady (housekeeper) made me eggs, sausage, and pancakes and coffee. The whole place is super unappealing and far from the downtown area.

This was an overnight stay to catch an early flight in AM. You will have to pay $16 for transport and wait for them to arrive at the airport, $20 to take a cab. They arranged early morning pick up to the airport but told us to be there early for a domestic flight. Truth was that an employee needed an early lift to get to an international flight. We sat at the airport at least an extra hour. Also, the pool looks more than sad, we skipped it.

Pleasant staff and helpful, property outside was nice, building is an older building, it appeared to have some updated flooring, however, there are toe stubbing tripping hazards throughout building, without warning we entered our room, there were two unequal steps immediately down in the room with a platform to the side, had I not caught myself and stopped, turning on the light to see more clearly it could have been a terrible accident. Throughout the property there are several of the same small steps that could catch someone offgaurd. Our bed was wonderful as was the linen. The room was clean. We had requested an ocean view king. We received the King room but no ocean view. Parking was available for our rental. The pool area was unkept and the pool was cold and in need attention.

This property is very near the airport and the planes flew right over it.
It doesn't have a good access to the beach that is right across the street from the property.
My bedside lamp didnt have a light bulb so i neededxto use the overhead all the time. The room was clean and the air-conditioning worked well. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Was a little upset that the shuttle to the airport was $16 even though there were multiple guests on the same trip.

Location is nice for the beach’s around it. Property and literally everything doesn’t look like their pictures. Disappointing.

Pay for What you Get. But legit!

It was a nice place for what we needed it for. Last min selection due to other things that happen but it served its purpose. Water went cold and the breakfast wasnt a huge selection. Those were the cons.. Pros were the staff very helpful on all aspects, its was on the bus line, not far from the beach, we had a side to our selves on the beach. I would stay again if i had to.
