Very disappointing experience. The hotel had a musty smell in the lobby and hallways, and despite my reservation including a king-size bed, we were asked to pay an extra $55 per night to get it. As a result, my boyfriend and I had to share a smaller bed for five nights.

For an expensive all-inclusive resort, charging extra for room service was unacceptable. Most amenities, including the café, closed very early, leaving only the lobby bar with limited options.

Overall, the hotel did not deliver the quality or service expected for the price. I would not recommend it and would not stay here again.

**Front Desk / Check-In**
The check-in process was quick and easy. As Expedia VIP guests, we were escorted to a separate private desk, which was a nice touch, even though the regular check-in counters were empty at the time. The staff was friendly and professional.

One interesting detail was the room key card. It was a plain white plastic card with no hotel logo, room number, or identifying information on it. Not a big issue, just something unusual.

Our room was located on the 3rd floor. Finding it initially was a bit confusing because the room numbering layout didn't seem very logical.
**Room**
The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but many of the amenities looked quite worn out. The TV screen had noticeable damage, several electrical outlets barely held a phone charger, and the bathroom mirror showed signs of age and wear. The bathroom included a shower cabin only, with no bathtub.

Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. One day the room would be cleaned perfectly, and then for the next two or three days it seemed like very little was done. On multiple occasions we had to call room service and politely request assistance. Personally, I don't enjoy having to call and ask for basic housekeeping services while on vacation.
**Dining**
The resort has only one buffet-style dining option. There were supposed to be three additional restaurants, but during our stay only two were operating. One of them was Mexican cuisine, which may be challenging for families w

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at this hotel and we fell in love with it from our very first visit.
The hotel is very clean, the service is great, and the nightly shows are entertaining.
Every room has a balcony and the staff always make you feel at home.

I do want to mention that a lot has changed since our last visit 6 years ago. One noticeable difference was the quality of the food and service at Café Solaris.
The food used to be better and the employees seemed friendlier.
Other than that, everything else was excellent.

Overall, it's a great hotel for families and we would definitely return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was our second stay. The hotel is clean, food decent, bartenders efficient & friendly, shows are well done & they do a good job with a variety of activities.

There was a concerning issue this trip that they didn't seem to share my concern because it wasn't fixed days later. There is a pool intake valve near the bridge from one pool to the other that was dangerous. We reported it, multiple people came, they took pictures yet no one fixed it. It sucked my adult daughters hand, broke her nail and cut her hand. They offered medical, we asked for it to be fixed. If that had caught someones hair or a small child, I don't think a cut would have been the only injury. They also didn't have the umbrella screws covered & I cut the bottom of my foot. Again, they offered medical & I asked for it to be fixed. They had that done by the next day. I did reach out to the hotel when we got home & they said they would look into the issue & I hope they have.

I know they can't control this situation but while sitting on the main floor patio, someone through liquid from their balcony. I got pretty wet as did the floor and table. I told three employees at the front desk & asked that they clean up the liquid while I went to the room to change. They apologized for the water yet, never attempted to clean it up.

Lastly hotel quoted $40 PER person to be transported to the airport. We looked up Uber $30 for 4. When I asked the bell captain, he said, \"ohhh yes, sorry, we can order for that price\"

Very good all inclusive for family. Buffet was not the best I’ve had but still good. entertainment and staff was top notch. Santana is the GOAT. pools stayed clean. beach needed cleaned up, was hard to swim with all the sargasam. Would highly recommend and come back. (P.s. if you get asked to watch their club membership presentation it 3 hours, not 1 LOL).

This used to be a good resort about five years ago, and I chose this hotel this time based on those past memories. However, everything had gone downhill. The food had no variety, and the quality was the worst I have ever experienced in Cancún in the last 15 years. The hotel does not provide bottled water (only once upon arrival). Instead, they have water fountains in the corridors, but the water tastes unpleasant and I believe it is not safe to drink. The one positive I experienced at this hotel was the internet — unlike many other hotels, they do not charge extra for Wi-Fi, and the connection quality was good.

Terrible, if you booked with expedia they are going to offer you a “VIP BREAKFAST” thats just a scam they take you to the hotel next door, (also part of Solaris) and you waste 3 hours of your vacation listening to these sale guys trying to sell you to be a Solaris Club member, they were asking for a $9k dollar down payment, then went down to $5k or around that, and kept going down because they wouldn’t take a No for an answer, after 3 hours and so many NO,s they let us go back to our Hotel, they gave us this “Spa coupons” for our time, the spa treats you different then the rest because you are getting a “free massage”
Just bad, the food is horrible and even tho is all inclusive, you need to have a reservation to eat at any of their restaurants, if not, buffet is all you get and food there is horrible and re used, whatever you see at dinner, youll see at breakfast but covered with “salsa” so it looks different. Just bad, do not recommend. I can keep going about this place. Go book at Sunscape, ALL INCLUSIVE and also Family Friendly. Thats where I stayed back in September 2025 and I regret not booking with them this time!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the pool was enjoyable. The staff was excellent—friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. The main downside was the limited dining options. Only three restaurants were available during our stay, and one of them was closed, which reduced the variety of food choices. Despite that, the service and cleanliness made for a positive experience.

We have traveled to Cancun several times over the years, but this was our first stay at this hotel. We stayed in an ocean-side room, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the air conditioner was leaking, and the water pressure in the shower was very low. The food quality could also be improved, especially considering that after returning home, we developed infectious gastroenteritis and taking to take two different antibiotics to recover. While the stunning ocean view was a highlight of our stay, the maintenance issues and health concerns significantly affected our experience and made this our least enjoyable trip to Cancun.

Overall a decent stay. It was a short ride from the airport (15 mins). The pools were nice and cooling, they also have pool noodles and floats you can use. The room had a nice ocean view. Staff was kind. Shout out to Roxi for taking a liking to my kid and playing the song Golden for her. The nightly entertainment was good. They had candlelights and a cellist and guitarist playing music one night which was really nice. They have a hospitality room where you can shower and change if you’re staying in the property after check-out.

On to the parts that need improvement: The pool flooring is too slippery without sandals on so be careful. And the food is not good (this is coming from someone who is not a picky eater). Their drinks are watered down. The tortilla chips are inedible so I couldn’t even make my own chilaquiles (theirs were soggy). All meals left more to be desired but the fruit and fresh sweet bread were good. I could never make an appt to a restaurant through their app.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. First of all, you need to make reservations to get in any restaurant for the exception of one. We stayed there for 5 days and couldn't get into any, very disappointing and waste of money for \"all inclusive\". The restaurant that is available for breakfast and lunch during certain hours the food was mediocre. The beverages soda and beer were all watered down and as far as hard liquor it was a cheap brands. The ketchup, dressings and such also watered down. We left the hotel everyday to get some real food and drinks. The beach was full of seaweed just mainly in our hotel. Our room pillows smelled horrible like they haven't been changed. We will definitely not be coming back.

The hotel building itself was lovely, but the staff working there were even better, as they went out of their way to ensure guests were satisfied—particularly regarding the swimming pools. As for the pools, I can say that they were neither very deep nor particularly large for adults. Furthermore, what surprised me most was the buffet; it wasn't very extensive, and I would have preferred a bit more international cuisine. Aside from that, everything else was fine.

Room was not cleaned for 6 days! I called left tagges on doors for them to clean. They supposedly work untill 3 but when i call at 5pm they say o no one is working now yet they are cleaning rooms and when i go for towels they say o we can now clean! Yea now at 5-6 when we need to shower and get ready for dinner! Food horrible everyday same things horribleeee! We been to this property 4xs this was the worst ever! Not one night did they have some type of dinner outside with a show. Shows were always inside just bad bad bad. They cut smoking everywhere also one baffet restaurant the one outside is now for members only! Wth am i i payed 3.800 for 6 nights!??? Flight was deleyed 2hrs! Horrribleee not to talk about how much they stole from our bank accounts! Taksi was 175 go and pick up! Told us we need to pay visittax NO WE DIDNT I ASKED AT THE AIRPORT!

Really enjoyed my stay at GR Solaris. Upon entry to the hotel, I was greeted by a lovely Welcome sing with my family name on it and VIP Expedia status. We were given 2 welcome drinks, and everyone was so kind. The front desk even upgraded our room from lagoon view to beachfront/pool view which was absolutely beautiful and even made us reservations for night 1 beforehand at their Mexican restaurant. When we got to the room, we were greeted with a VIP Expedia status banner on the door and sparkling juice (as I do not drink alcohol). The room was very clean and spacious, and the mini bar was stocked with a variety of beverages. The wifi was very fast throughout the building and on the beach. I loved all the poolside entertainment each day (Rosci is such a sweetheart and such a great personality). You should download the app beforehand to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. The gym had everything we wanted, and the food was really good throughout the buffet and the specialty restaurants. The night shows in the theater and game nights/karaoke were fun too. Really enjoyed the kayaking the resort provides as well. Would definitely return in the future

We stayed there on may 23rd to 27th it was excellent and room was very clean everything was great but door lock is not secure my 3yrs old keep opening and been gone lol kids friendly staff were very helpful and kind my kids loved the pool fun time. Sadly we lost our daughter dress it flew away to downstairs room and never got help from anyone. I do recommend this hotel if you looking to have great time.

Wonderful 12 days with husband and family!! The staff was exceptional, especially Estaphany at check in and Vickie from Housekeeping who decorated our room on our last night. Memorable!!
Food was good at the Buffet and all restaurants. Room was cleaned well every day. More than enough clean towels, etc.
Bartenders, waitresses and waiters were great! Special shout out to Giovanni who seemed to wear multiple hats. Most of our time was spent on the beach or at the “quiet pool”. It’s the low season so repairs and maintenance was going on. Never a disruption to our enjoyment
A few suggestions for Management;
Please put barstools at the Lobby Bar! This will promote social interaction among guests. Right now, groups are a little isolated.
New loungers on the beach. Many were “rump sprung”. Need replacing.
Stock “non-alcoholic beer. Not every guest is a drinker.
Suggestions for Guests:
PLEASE remember to tip Staff! Yes, the Website says that Gratuities are included BUT, how much of your booking actually filters down to staff? Not much, if any.
Would we return? Absolutely!!!

The view from the balcony was terribly bad- looking at the mount of trash. Housekeepers were fantastic. Waiting staff friendly. Transportation to airport in Cancun asking for tipping, in unfriendly way.

Save yourself the money and the regret!! This is possibly one of the worst travel experiences of my life. From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out, we had nothing but trouble. Resort app works half the time; staff is inconvenienced by any question-showed up 10 min before towel shack closed to return towels, they turned us down and made us go into the hotel lobby. Room keys NEVER worked, after we had to go ask reception to open the door every day, multiple times a day, and when we asked for a final resolution all they said is that their card machine sucked. So inconvenient that we restricted how much we left the room the last couple of days to avoid being locked out. Additionally, most of the restaurant hosts have horrible costumer service,- made reservations through the app only to be turned down and ridiculous by the hostess saying we didn’t know how to make a reservation, though I had a screenshot of the confirmation-we were forced to eat at the terrible buffet. Several other people had the same issue. To make matters worse, their pools are properly maintained which fixed us to go by the beach which is not swimmable due to the ocean conditions. The kids water park is very small with no seating available for parents and is poorly kept. Lastly-our room had sand inside the beds and the pillows smelled like dirty sweaty head-front desk they said they were sorry and didn’t care to offer to fix anything until I threatened to check out and call corporate.

Everything was amazing — from the service to the food. Any questions we had were always handled by the amazing staff, who provided exceptional service every single night. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming.

Estefany helped us almost every day and always made sure we were taken care of. Alexander, one of the waiters, served us during our romantic dinner and also at breakfast on a few occasions, and he was extremely attentive and friendly as well.

We truly appreciated the hospitality and experience throughout our stay. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely book again. Thank you so much!

Our second time back and it was still amazing! Such friendly staff and everyone was helpful. Bartenders were always very happy to serve whatever. Benamar, one of the bellhops was especially helpful if we had an excursion or anywhere else we needed to go. Giving options of ways to save money. Food was good. I was able to find something I love at the buffet everyday. For the \"special dinners\" you can do a more fancy restaurant, our package came with 3 dinners included. Those meals were amazing. The only thing that I would change is the activity calendar. It was hard to find, the app wasn't as helpful for this either. There was a TV by the theater that had it posted but it went down. I would hope to have it other places as well so it's easier to plan your stay. Loved it and we will go back again.

The review on this property aren’t real or valid. Property is very dated, not very clean, food is awful, to the point where it’s not edible. Door keys don’t work 90% of the time, we had to get new keys daily/multiple times a day. Room doors don’t even auto shut or close, which is a safety issue especially if you have little kids. No straws for drinks anywhere, old cups and silver wear used for everything, super low grade alcohol and drinks, doesn’t even taste like that brand on eve bottle. Very low quality service. For a 6 day stay we only got 2 reservations for the restaurants which isn’t sufficient. Otherwise you have to go to be buffet which is inedible with extremely limited option. Towels are extremely old and rough and yellowish color even though they’re white. Would never go back again. I tried to change rooms and explain the issues to front desk and they didn’t do anything.

Overall good experience. The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and hardworking. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, the entertainment staff worked hard to make sure everyone was having a good time and the food staff were also very friendly and attentive.
The resort itself could use a few updates. We had a few room issues that should be fixed, like a broken toilet lid and handle. The shower door was also strange because it opened into the shower, which made it awkward to use. The hurricane shutters on our room windows rattled the entire time we were there from the wind off the ocean.
We also didn't realize this was a members resort, so we were disappointed that not all amenities were avaliable to us. That would have been nice to know before booking. We spent about 90 minutes listening to a sales presentation about becoming a member, because we were promised 2 free massages in the hotel, a cenotes tour, and 3 free nights on a future stay. However, the only thing we actually received were the massages and a coupon for a photo on the beach that we didn't get to use. We met several long time members of the resort and they were all great people that we enjoyed hanging out with.

Hotel its not bad, Room was small and since the begining they try to give me a diferent room even know i pay for room with ocean view and they give us in the very beginning a room with vie to the pool and i ask they person helping us that i had pay for a ocean view not pool and she told me that i didnt get that and if i want to get that room it will cost me another $465 dollars extra and i say no and she quickly reply let me see what can i do for you she was trying to get her commission i guess cause at the end she end up giving us the room that i pay for it no the one they give us by that time i knew it that all this deal was shaddy after all room was nice and clean but way too small and the food was awful and the person who was sitting people in the buffet was arrogant and didnt make sense that we were only 2 persons and they were plenty of the table a the very beginning and the room was not even full she sat us all the way at the corner everytime we went down to have food morning,lunch or dinner i ask for a decaf coffee and they give me a regular twice in a row same night i suffer from anxiety that was bad night for me the soda or drinks werent even taste like regular sodas or the food had a taste o flavor at all so dissapointed that i had to go eat somewhere else to me and my wife .I personally will never stay again in that place lots of money down the drain that i pay for it if i can rated the Hotel 0 Stars i will give them -0 Lady Name was TEFANY 0 STARS FOR EVERYTHING.

Hotel food is not good, à la cart restaurant have to be book with app and limited, food was not good either on any of the restaurant. Drinks were really bad and water down. Employees are not rude but lack of empathy and care for the people and they don’t care about the property only do that they are there to do and leave.

Spa was great other than that wont recommend or go back to this hotel in particular have not been in any other from their chain.

Have many users complaint about the same issues i describe above…

Beach was not usable at all awhile i was here.

The food lacked variety, and the restaurant service was disappointing. On day three, my room key stopped working. I went to the lobby to resolve the issue, but after being given a new key, it still didn’t work—ultimately wasting an hour of my time.

At checkout, there was no acknowledgment or even a simple “thank you for your stay,” which felt unprofessional. Additionally, the spa was not worth the money and did not meet expectations.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room cleanliness was not acceptable at all. The bathroom had multiple issues — the sink was constantly leaking, the shower water would spill outside, and we had to put towels on the floor to stop the water from flooding the room. The toilet flush was also not working properly.

The pool water was not clean at all. Every time we used it, our clothes — including my kids’ clothes — would get dirty, which was very unpleasant and unacceptable.

The food was very basic and below expectations for an all-inclusive resort. Nothing special or memorable.

One of the biggest issues was the staff behavior. Even though we paid for an all-inclusive package, it felt like you had to tip constantly to get any attention or proper service. Without tipping, staff would often ignore you, which created a very uncomfortable experience.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Loved everything about this hotel. Lots of pool space and seating; very happy with available food throughout the day; great entertainment. The one negative I have is the air conditioning. The rooms were fairly well air conditioned, but the restaurants were so hot that we had to eat and leave.

•The rooms were clean, there’s a fridge, hair dryer, walk in shower.
• the staff were friendly and helpful
• I would suggest bringing Mexican pesos not American money they tend to over charge in a lot of things in Mexico if you’re paying with American money it’s wild the difference. If you have Expedia or want good deals go to the MTS desk for excursions or packages they’re at the desk by the stairs towards the buffet. You’ll get the best deals with them and don’t pay full price you can always find a better deal just saying
• the food was ok.bland and repetitive at the buffet just the same things. The pasta at the buffet and the à la cart is literally just noodles and sauce
•the pool and pool area were clean. It’s kid friendly so there were always kiddos around but there is an adult only pool and the ocean
• a con would definitely be that the bars don’t open until 11, there’s a very strong scent in the main lobby and hotel like cologne, the prices in the shops are wild. They said 18$ American for a bag of lays chips less if pesos If you are a snacker and have kids I’d suggest bringing your own chips, nuts, treats etc in your luggage
• I love that they have water refill stations for water bottles on the floors so you never have to go asking for water
•If you are planning an excursion or to see the town or go out definitely suggest the city buses bus stop out front by the road they go by every five mins they cost 12 pesos very safe and easy to get around

Would not recommend this place. Only food that was good were the snack bar and pizza bar. Only restaurant that was ok was Don Gus. Zai had food that was so bad you couldn't eat it. Travelled with family and all of us had same experience. Some of the staff were rude and unprofessional. Pools were ok, however, the jacuzzi didn't work the entire stay. Talked to some of the members and they said this resort used to be good but went downhill after new management.
