This little property was in the heart of Ubud. Basic but clean and full of love. It was perfect.

Fabulous location. It's a homestay, if you don't know what that means, it's not a hotel, look it up and have expectations accordingly. They do have a staff that cleans thoroughly but the rooms are basic and you'll share it with geckos and a few bugs. For the cheapest property in Ubud though, amazing. Great for adventurous travelers and people who want to see a bit more reality than resort. Know a cab can't get you all the way there, you'll have to walk through the market a bit. The one weird things is that I was not allowed to leave without proving I paid, I showed them the Expedia receipt but the man at the desk would not believe me without seeing it in his book or computer, which was having Wi-Fi issues. My ride was waiting so I just left, they seemed upset but... obviously I paid orI wouldn't be able to leave this review. All in all, 4/5 considering price.

Highlight of Our Trip!
Very kind hosts who made a big effort to make our stay great. Owner went out of way to make sure all guests were aware of a local religious ceremony happening during our stay and acted as a guide and explained what was going on. Absolutely the highlight of our trip! Pool was good and the banana pancakes for breakfast were my wife's favourite. We were in Ubud to experience the culture and this hotel is a good choice if that is your interest. Although, if you are a fussy traveller who is not willing to share your room with a gecko or keep your expectations in line with price, you may be disappointed. Our room was due for a refresh and the shower was bracing. For us, the central location and local interaction more than made up for this. Easy recommendation for most and I would stay again.

We booked and paid for three nights. We stayed only two as there was a very unhealthy smell about the bathroom. On the second night there was no hot water.
The owners said they were aware of the problem, so why did they put people in that room. I hope they fix the issues for any more visitors who wish to stay. The pool was not inviting as it was green.
No choice for breakfast just what you were given. Doesn’t always suit peoples palate. Would chose to stay somewhere else next time.

Sweet Spot in Ubud
Really sweet family run guest house with very nice breakfast and clean pool. Entry to the property is cluttered but once you get past the construction materials all is lovely. Owners could not be more friendly.

This place was excellent. The staff were always on their A-game and very warm hearted. Exactly like the pictures and just a 1 or 2 minute walk to the main road. Also, every room has an outside balcony that gives you a little extra space to stretch out and relax. It felt very homely and the owner was a top guy

Lower your expectations
Bathroom is in bad condition. Many ants and bathtub with stains. Floor has ponds after showers. Balcony is the best area to relax. Bed is good. Breakfast choices and portions are limited and have to pay extra.

I loved this place a little more money but worth it. Close to center, but not on main street. Small, but lovely pool. The hosts very nice. We stayed at 10 different places in bali from back packer to 5 star this was one of my favorites.

Well-placed Roda family compound in central Ubud!
Rhuma Roda is a local Ubud family compound with 9 comfortable rooms, garden, pool and restaurant in central Ubud perfectly located! You get a very nice, close, personal and friendly experience and feel like a member of the magnificent Roda family! If you want to experience real Balinese culture Rhuma Roda is the place for you. The included breakfast in their restaurant is stellar - coconut banana pancakes n fresh fruit to die for!!! and dont miss their Balinese ‘Megibung’ a feast of all popular Balinese dishes - that is amazingly delicious! I have been to Rhuma Roda for the past three years and have nothing but praise for them! Good value, friendly place and excellent opportunity to learn about Balinese culture.

Lovely setting, extremely friendly staff, comfortable room. Only negative was the bathroom (no real problems, but quite basic) and soaps, shampoo etc. not provided. Great location, with rice fields within easy walking distance.

Ubud is wonderful, and the family that hosted us was too. Warm, welcoming and helpful. 5-10 minute walk to Central Ubud on a quaint street and accessible to everywhere. Balcony is wonderful to relax and recoup. Bathroom isn't the greatest.

I had a Nice stay with 2 kids. The area is Perfect in ubud. Pool is clean, but we didnt use it. The family is so Nice and open. we left early, but that was only do to rain and bad weather in ubud. Would go again.

일단 직원분들, 운영하는 가족들 매우 친절했습니다. 이름을 못 물어봐서 너무 아쉬운데 멋진 외국 배우 닮은 스텝이 있어요ㅎㅎㅎ 아침 먹을때 와서 이것저것 알려주려고 먼저 말걸고 지나갈 때 마다 수다떨었는데 재밌었어요!
조식은 기대이상이었어요. 특히 바나나 팬케이크 잊지못해요... 다시 먹으러 갈거에요. (단품이고 양은 작아요)
방은 패밀리룸으로 둘이 썼는데 침대 정말 크고 에어컨도 잘 되고 욕실도 특이해요 ㅋㅋ 수압이 조금 약한게 단점입니다.
수영장도 간단히 놀기 좋은데 모기가 좀 있어요. 시내랑 도보로 걸어서 다닐 수 있고 가는 길에 예쁜 가게들이 종종 있어요. 골목이라 밤에는 조금 무서울 수 있지만 가로등 있습니다.
친구들끼리 숙소에 머무는 시간이 작아서 저렴한 숙소를 찾는다면 루마로다가 좋을거같고, 숙소에서 머무는 시간이 많다면 안맞을 수 있어요.

A cama e a localização do hotel é ótima, perto do centro, mercado, palácio e outras atrações, dá pra fazer muitas coisas a pé. No entanto, o banheiro é um caso a parte, a banheira estava preta, possíveis sugeiras, péssimo. O café da manhã bem limitado, apenas uma opção de café/chá/suco + panqueca ou omelete.

Wir haben fünf wunderschöne Tage in diesem netten Hotel verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Man kann im dazu gehörenden Restaurant sehr gut essen und die Gastgeber stehen einem auch für Touren zur Verfügung. Das Hotel ist ruhig in einer Seitenstraße gelegen. Die Reisfelder sind in einem kurzen Spaziergang zu erreichen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier einchecken.

しかし「３つ星ホテル」という表示と払った料金のことをを考えると、やはり大きな不満が残ってしまう。バスタオルが２枚のみでハンドタオルその他はなく、バスタオルやバスマットは毎日清掃が入っているのに交換されず、業を煮やして申し出てようやく変えてもらうという始末である。浴室の窓ガラスには蜘蛛の巣が張っており、清掃された様子がない。浴室の衛生状態は悪く、シャワーの水圧も弱く、突然水が出てくることもあった。さらに、チップを置いているにもかかわらずベッドシーツが交換されていないことは、何かの黒いしみが同じ場所に点々と付いていたことで明白に分かった。さすがに不快に思うしかない。
アメニティ等は生活に必要な最小限のものしかなく、しかもボトルに入っている液体がシャンプーなのか何なのかも分からないし、質問してもスタッフ自身が理解していない様子であった。メモ帳やティッシュペーパーさえ備え付けておらず、部屋の中はがらんどうという感じである。さらには電話機が故障しているのかなんなのか機能せず、したがってモーニングコール等のサービスも一切ない。部屋の時計は電池切れで終始止まったままであった。つまり、普通のホテルにあるものはないと思ったほうがよい。朝食も単調で、ほぼ同じものが７日間も出続けた。
年末年始に同等の金額でバンコクで宿泊したときは、フルサービスで至れり尽くせりの完璧な対応をしてもらえた。その経験を思い起こすと、どうしても低い評価になるしかない。価格が低めなので、それ相応だという見方もできるが、そこまでバリ島は物価が高いのか…とも思ってしまう。

アメニティ等は生活に必要な最小限のものしかなく、しかもボトルに入っている液体がシャンプーなのか何なのかも分からないし、質問してもスタッフ自身が理解していない様子であった。メモ帳やティッシュペーパーさえ備え付けておらず、部屋の中はがらんどうという感じである。さらには電話機が故障しているのかなんなのか機能せず、したがってモーニングコール等のサービスも一切ない。部屋の時計は電池切れで終始止まったままであった。つまり、普通のホテルにあるものはないと思ったほうがよい。朝食も単調で、ほぼ同じものが７日間も出続けた。
年末年始に同等の金額でバンコクで宿泊したときは、フルサービスで至れり尽くせりの完璧な対応をしてもらえた。その経験を思い起こすと、どうしても低い評価になるしかない。価格が低めなので、それ相応だという見方もできるが、そこまでバリ島は物価が高いのか…とも思ってしまう。
