We arrived late, were told we couldn’t decide on breakfast in the morning it was on arrival or not at all. We were kept awake by people chatting and running up and down the corridor. When we eventually went to sleep we were woken at 7am by someone banging on our door looking for someone. Not impressed. Couldn’t wait to leave. It was also in the middle of an industrial estate

Staff seemed overworked, but very accommodating. Menu in restaurant was limited and pretencious in quality. Pool is very badly placed, clients of restaurant have a direct view, so hotel guests do not enjoy a private pool area. Very disappointing not to take advantage of the pool during a heat wave!

I stayed here one night during a bicycle trip from Carcassonne to Sète. The hotel is very close to the Canal du Midi bike path. They are well adapted to accommodate bicyclists. The cassoulet in their restaurant was the best I have ever had in France!

Shocking: extremely rude and unpleasant owner

We travel extensively throughout the world and this is by far the most shocking experience we have had.

After making a polite complaint about the receptionist who was unwelcoming to us to another member of staff, we had the manager -owner knocking at our door to come and aggressively criticise me and my partner as she saw us as the problem, not the member of staff.

The conversation took place in French and as she was raising her voice so much that my partner totally shocked and alarmed wanted to intervene but she didn't speak English.

She made some thinly veiled threats about asking us to leave when it was already 6:30pm. She knew also that it was my partner's birthday and clearly she managed to ruin the day.

Awful experience. Reading through the reviews, it seems that other customers experienced something similar in the past.

We certainly wouldn't recommend this place.

Very clean and fabulous food!

Stayed for one night after landing at Toulouse en route to Carcassonne. The outside appearance does not do it justice! the room was large and very clean with good coffee making facilities. However the biggest surprise was just how good the food was. We ate at the hotel because we were just to tired to walk into town and the weather looked a bit iffy, and that was our best decision of the day. Fantastic food and no wonder all the locals were eating there. Not too much English spoken but you'll get by and the staff (seemed family run) were just so friendly. We'd stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Good for an overnight stop over

That hotel is on the outskirts of Castelnaudry in a fairly industrial area but is quiet and has everything you would need for an overnight stay. Dinner was ok with a reasonable selection but not outstanding but you would need to get into town for any other option by car.

Great family-run hotel with home-cooked food

The family who run the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The rooms were very clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable. The attached restaurant serves delicious specialties of the region- cassoulet, fish fresh from the river, and duck were what we had- and fabulous desserts, all made right there or by local artisans and served by the family. There's a lovely patio for al fresco dining. There's even a swimming pool. It's convenient to visit Carcassonne.

Hidden Gem!

Charming and authentic hotel well located off a major artery in a lovely town known for its cassoulet! The Clos Fleuri restaurant presents an incredible version of this local delicacy, along with a number of other delicious choices, all at excellent prices. Continental breakfast was truly more than continental and at a fair price for the area. Regular rooms are well-appointed and comfortable; premium rooms are very spacious for a longer stay. As with most European hotels, no washcloths are provided, but towels are soft. Bedding very comfortable and extra pillows are available. Hotel has a secured parking lot and after-hours entry is available only with the hotel code. Note that there is no elevator for rooms on the second floor, so be sure to request first floor if mobility is an issue. Owners are fabulous and most accommodating, going out of their way to assist with directions and suggestions for area sightseeing. Lovely garden area and small swimming pool were an unexpected surprise. The only thing missing that would bump the hotel up a notch is an in-room safe. This hotel is definitely a hidden gem!

Wonderful owners

We stayed here for a couple of days prior to boating on the Canal du Midi. It is very close to two supermarkets which allowed us to stock up for the boat trip. There is a very well regarded restaurant nearby, but the food in the restaurant at Clos Fleuri is excellent. The French owners are husband and wife, assisted by their son, who are slowly improving the hotel and its amenities, and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We arrived after lunch one day and were offered a delicious light meal as we had not eaten all day. We ate beside the swimming pool in the new outside dining area which was delightful. The whole place is kept scrupulously clean, including the bedrooms and bathrooms. The room we had was simple and comfortable. Our hosts very kindly drove us several times into town, and at the end of our stay, and even offered to return later to collect us and our luggage to drive us to the boat. No hosts could have been more kind or accommodating. We would not hesitate to return.

More like a motel feel however the staff were the most helpful and obliging people. They offered to drive us with our shopping bags and luggage to the canal to get our canal boat at Le boat. The supermarket is just across the road which was convenient to stock up before the boat trip. Only about 7euro taxi ride if you have to get yourself to the canal.

We were visiting our son who has recently bought a house near to Castelnaudary and wanted to spend a day exploring the town. Unfortunately the weather was very hot and the hotel was a little too far away for us to walk into town. The hotel was very welcoming and we were provided with a bottle of water while we cooled off in the terrace by the pool.

Great value hotel

We stayed one night in this little hotel. The best part is definitively the hospitality of the owners. The man who received us was very nice and the lady who served us in the restaurant and checked us out, genuinely extremely friendly. Have your dinner there. The food is fresh and delicious.It was a little difficult to find. When you arrive from the north and go through the town it is at the end of the town, about 100m after a giant supermarket on the opposite side and right after a gas station on the same side. Very good value hotel.

Clean and comfortable

The hotel was a bit difficult to find since the name on the sign was different than the one on Hotels.com. Plus the car navigation could not find the street address. Hotel is simple but clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and spoke English well. Only stayed there one night probably there a total of 10 hours but it was fine.

Very warm welcome by the owner who clearly cares about the experience of his guests. Room is good clean and comfortable and refreshed and cleaned well daily. Restaurant offers a varied menu particularly focussing on local cuisine. They were even very willing to provide us with a meal after the kitchen staff had finished. The meal was goats cheese and duck salad professionally presented.
Ample parking no extra charge.
Owners have a very good knowledge of local attractions and transport to and from and provide maps where appropriate.

A lovely quaint little hotel

We stayed here for two nights on our way to the south east of France. It is located just outside the center and is accessible to motorway. The room was clean and fresh with simple but very adequate furnishing and comfy bed,great shower and quiet situation. The little pool is ideal for a plunge after a hot day exploring the area. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate there for breakfast and dinner. Good food at a reasonable price. Overall a good place to stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was handy if you did not want to stay in Carcassonne but travel there for a night out, the drive took 25 minutes on one road (very easy) even on Bastille Day!!!!!

Stayed at this hotel one night before boarding LeBoat. A little out if the way but our room, for 3 was huge. The resturaunt was superb and the staff was amazing! A taxi wasn't available in the morning to take us to our boat so the owner took us himself! Would definitely return!

This hotel was a good find for us for the night before we picked up our canal boat at Castlenedaury. The supermarket was very close and the host was very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel and the Cassoulet was very nice indeed. The whole family was involved in the hotel which was very pleasant.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel.

Les points forts :
- le personnel est souriant et agréable.
- il y a une piscine et elle est propre et agréable, tout comme les extérieurs à coté de la piscine.
- le lit était très confortable.
- la chambre était propre.
- la salle de bain était top !!! Moderne, grande douche à l'italienne, douche de pluie, toilettes à la japonaise, sèche serviette, produits Estéban, etc. L'une des meilleures salle de bain que nous ayons eu dans cette gamme d'hôtel.
- il y avait le choix entre un oreiller carré et un oreiller rectangulaire, très appréciable quand on aime pas les oreillers rectangulaires qui équipent 90% des hôtels.
- il y avait machine à café et réfrigérateur dans la chambre.
- le restaurant est très cosy et chic.

Les points faibles :
- les prix au restaurant sont un peu chers...
- le cadre autour de l'hôtel n'est pas très joli.

Nous avons adoré cet hôtel. Nous avons remarqué que les matériaux employés sont de qualité, qu'un effort est fait sur la présentation et le confort. A ce prix là c'est très rare. Nous le recommandons chaudement.

Ne vous fiez pas à la façade, ni à l'emplacement. Il faut passer les portes de l'entrée car la façade n'est pas engageante, mais une fois fait, c'est un hôtel qui vaut le détour. Personnel agréable et à l'écoute, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Le restaurant sur place est très bon. Prévoyez vos serviettes de bains, sinon payante à l'accueil.

La location incantevole , stanza perfetta . Perfetto per rilassarsi un paio di giorni. L'unica cosa negativa è arrivare alle 20:40 al ristorante e dirmi che non può più prendere ordinazioni. Il personale non ha nemmeno pensato a prepararmi un semplice sandwich, poca ospitalità, servizio da migliorare.

Auch wenn die Unterkunft von außen nicht viel hermacht, sind die Zimmer geräumig und bestens eingerichtet. Der Service ist sehr gut. Es gibt Lademöglichkeiten für E-Autos (wenn auch nur mit max. 4,5 kW). Das angeschlossene Restaurant bietet leckeres Essen. Frühstück ist sehr kontinental/französisch. Wir haben hier vor einer Tour über den Canal du Midi übernachtet. Die Entscheidung für dieses Hotel war goldrichtig.

Je vais dans de très nombreux hôtels en France et à l'étranger pour mon travail et c'est probablement le meilleur 3 étoiles que j'ai vu en plus de 20 ans d'hôtels. Pleins de petits détails agréables : Chambres rénovées, propretés, matelas super, douche neuve avec mitigeur high tech, WC japonais, jus de fruit pressé au petit dej...
Lorsque je serai dans le coin je reviendrai sans aucun doute!
Le seul bémol est qu'il n'y a pas de chambre familiale triple, sinon je serai revenu pour mes vacances!

Bien mais peut être amélioré

Très bon accueil, le personnel est sympa.
La chambre est propre, mais très petite. ( Je la trouve trop petite pour moi ), la literie est confortable.
La salles de bain est bien mais la cabine de douche est elle aussi petite.
Point négatifs, il y avait une mauvaise odeur dans la chambre a mon arrivée.
Les portes des chambres claques très fort, quand vos voisins s'en foutent ça vous réveil très tôt.
Le petit déjeuner est bon mais il n'y pas beaucoup de choix, surtout si l'on compare au restaurant qui est très bon.

Établissement tres agréable, conforme à nos attentes au regard de l'annonce. Calme, parking, petit déjeuner complet. Notre séjour a bien débuté avec un acceuil charmant, un passage à la piscine très agréable et un diner au restaurant délicieux.
Cependant, nous étions situés à côté de la porte qui provoquait un appel d'air à chaque fois que quelqun la fermait (jusqu'à 1 du matin et dès 7h). Cela donnait l'impression que quelqun donnait un violent coup de pied dans notre porte. Comprenant que nous ne dormirions plus, nous sommes donc partis très tôt. Nous en avons fait part au patron de l'hôtel qui ne nous a pas cru. Désappointés par tant de mauvaise foi et n'ayant pas l'habitude de ne pas être pris au sérieux, je n'ai même pas eu le courage de lui montrer la vidéo du cafard que j'ai découvert dans la salle de bain au réveil. Le bruit peut être lié à un problème de porte et cela arrive. Ce qui est navrant c'est la façon dont on nous a traités lorsque nous avons rapporté ce fait. Dommage, nous comptions en faire notre halte habituelle car pour le reste tout était très bien. Au cas ou, on ne prenne pas cette photo au sérieux, j'ai la vidéo ou l'on voit la salle de bain.

Notre dîner était succulent de l’entrée au dessert, le personnel très sympathique, l’hôtel super propre et agréable. Le seul point à améliorer de mon point de vue serait les oreillers trop durs.
Nous avons été enchantés et l’avons fait savoir.

Bonne chambre mais jeune Directeur impoli

Quand je lis des avis sur internet je pense toujours que le client a \"abusé\" ou qu'il est râleur ou pénible inutilement ... pourtant il y a en effet parfois des mésaventures réelles avec certains établissements dont celui-ci, que j'ai voulu souligner sur un autre site d'évaluation. Le directeur de l'hôtel m'a insulté publiquement en réponse à mon commentaire car il avait été très incorrect et méprisant pendant mon séjour sur cet établissement (Toute la tablée que nous étions avait jugé son attitude odieuse et irrespectueuse). Il le fera sûrement encore à la suite de ce commentaire. Monsieur, nos commentaires sont faits pour vous faire progresser dans la rectification de votre communication insultante, et non pour le plaisir d'écrire ces lignes. Votre formation en tant que directeur devrait intégrer la politesse, tout simplement en sachant dire les choses avec tact et courtoisie. Concernant le cassoulet, il est bon, mais il est vrai que votre carte est très réduite et votre foi gras gras gras horrible, j'en suis le premier déçu. Les serveurs par contre étaient vraiment au top, certainement plus humbles. La chambre aussi était bien.
