Overall, my stay was satisfactory, but there were a few areas that could be improved. The associate who assisted me with check-in was efficient, but I did not find the interaction particularly warm or welcoming, which made the arrival experience feel less pleasant than expected.

Upon entering my room, I noticed towels left on the floor near the entrance, which gave the impression that the room had not been fully prepared. I also found that the shower gel and shampoo bottles were less than half full. While these were minor issues, attention to these details would have enhanced the overall experience.

I hope this feedback is helpful, as I believe improvements in customer service and housekeeping would make future stays even better.

The rooms are outdated. The couch had stains on it and the couch bed was half way up in the air when we entered the room for the first time. The couch mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Housekeeping never came to clean room or replenish cloths. The popcorn ceilings kept crumbling leaving residue on the floors, chairs, and counter tops. All of the closet doors were off track.

We recently stayed at Dunes Village and had a great overall experience. The property has direct beach access, and we loved being able to enjoy the beach well into the evening. Guests also have access to multiple pools and the on-site water park, which makes it a fun option for both families and adults.

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room included a kitchenette, which was incredibly convenient for preparing simple meals and snacks.

The main downside is that guest parking is located off-site and requires a short walk of a few minutes. However, the hotel does allow you to temporarily park on-site while unloading and loading luggage, which helps make arrival and departure easier.

Overall, it’s a great property in a convenient location—close to the airport, restaurants, and many of Myrtle Beach’s attractions. We’d definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel amenities were as advertised. However, with that many kids running around having a great time, the pools were kind of gross and dirty. Our room was spacious and nice. However, it was worn out. Lots of little broken things - rip in the couch, carpet coming up in places, dirty grout in bathroom, stove eyes all bent up, kitchen hardware felt sticky, dishwasher missing a wheel on the inside cart. Nothing that impeded the stay and my kids certainly didn't notice... they were having too much fun!

One day, our door wouldn't open. The maintenance staff was quick and super kind! (The lock just needed new batteries.)

Our view of the ocean was spectacular!

I really like having lifeguards on the beach!

We loved our stay at the Dunes Village. The price was a bit high for 3 nights but if i would have booked sooner, I don't think that would be the case. We stayed in the angle 2 bedroom deluxe. It was a beautiful condo with an amazing view. It had a jetted tub as well which was nice. My 6-year-old son absolutely loved the waterparks. You can go to both waterparks no matter what tower you're staying in. Handicap parking is a bit of a hassle because they don't have many spots close to the doors. Parking garage is across the road. The location was perfect. Its farther north than the hustle and bustle of downtown but not too far away, we drove to the boardwalk in about 10 mins I believe. The location is close to a Walmart and Broadway at the Beach. We can't wait to come back next year! We are going to stay in the same type of condo! Staff was also pleasant

We went for a quick weekend get-away. The trip was perfect. Plenty of amenities on-site to not have to leave if you don’t want to. We enjoyed the beach of course, but also the water park and outdoor bar. Grabbed dinner one night at the restaurant as well! It was a refreshing and relaxing experience.

This was our 4th year staying here with our 3 small children. They had the best week of their lives, water parks + Italian ice every single day!

The resort painted the outside of the building which looked incredible, they also updated parts of the room.

The only downside this trip was the price jump from last year but what can ya do.

We had a blast and will be back :)

Perfect for families! Easy access to the beach. Multiple water parks on property. Café in the lobby that serves Starbucks Coffee (and reasonably priced). Multiple elevators (no long wait). Parking garage is across the street, but not terrible. Close to restaurants and Broadway at the Beach.

Honestly, worst part of the who trip was the water pressure in the shower. It would've been faster to bathe in the sink. :/ But not bad enough to ruin the trip.

Didn’t like my vehicle was parked in a garage across the street, for a disabled person with limited walking capability, this was extra walking they should have less loading & unloading parking and make Handicap for the grandparents that come with the kids, also could have closer beach foot walking, the breakfast door should be available for the disabled person to have closer access to the Beach or make a hallway available from the elevators, I do think the teenagers had a lot of fun at this location lots of activities and swimming options,

We picked this hotel for the waterparks. Our kids had a blast and loved the pools. They also loved that they were able to tie dye a t-shirt during our stay. I was impressed with the different activities available each day.

We found several bugs in our room and the bathroom was very dated. The bathroom had grout missing all in the shower, which made it look dirty. The bugs just had me on edge and I wore shoes inside the whole time. I am assuming this is all hotels now, but this is our second stay here and I can say that the smell of weed was very prominent during both trips. We smelt it in the common areas as well as on our balcony. It just takes away from the family atmosphere.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, beachfront, amenities including indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, water slides, and lazy river, game area with ping pong, close parking, 2 sinks in room, normal fridge/stove, comfy bed, great location. Cons: Took 15 mins for hot water to heat up in shower and sink. Purple glitter all over elevator entrance near spa door (was never vacuumed and tracked everywhere). Had to ask for extra towels twice per not enough for 3 people (but they were quick to give them). Only one tiny bar of soap for 3 people (but when I asked for 2 more, they dropped them by within 10 minutes).
Overall, great stay, wonderful time. Would come back.

Pros: nice clean room. Lots of space and worth the price. Loved the jet tub. Large facility with a lot to do and it's right on the beach.
Cons: parking is across the street and takes some time. We were on the 6th floor and kept hearing a banging noise periodically the whole 2 days we stayed. We think it might have been the pipes.
Overall a nice place.

There were stains on the sheets of the bed. We were expecting more bang for our buck as people were vaping everywhere and things were dirty. I mean, we couldn’t even get ping-pong balls for the ping-pong table, and I certainly didn’t feel that it was near as clean as the price we had to pay.

Def a 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone that speaks on staying in the myrtle beach area. So much fun for the kids where you dont have to leave the hotel. They have a restaurant inside the hotel and plenty of activities for kids to do through out the stay,sleeps very good. Me and my grandkids definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon.

This is our second family trip to Dunes Village resort. We have been pleased both times. We stayed in the two bedroom suite on this occasion. The suite was very well set up with plenty of room. The washer and dryer in the suite was a plus. There were pots, pans, dishes, cups, and utensils provided. The suite was clean. The balcony was very nice to have with a great ocean view. If you want a family friendly, more low key area on Mrtyle Beach, this is the place for you. With everything right there as far as Cafe, restaurant, gift shop, water parks, and pools in both towers, you never have to leave and if you do there are so many great restaurants and shops to enjoy within driving distance. It's also close proximity to the airport.

This experience was great I was super exited to stay here because my Family and I came to Dukes Village every summer when I was growing up and the hospitality and hotel has always been a 10/10. The only issue I have from this trip was, in one of the towers there was only one actively and effectively working elevator on the hallway that we were staying on and it was Memorial Day weekend families coming and going it was chaotic. Luckily a house worker came and escorted us to another hall with two working elevators. All and all we can’t wait to come back.!

The resort looks beautiful from the outside and has great amenities like heated pools, water parks, and an on-site restaurant, which made the stay enjoyable for the kids. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good hot water. However, the rooms are extremely outdated and really need renovation. The ceiling was peeling, the bathroom was tiny, and the sink was literally falling forward.
Cleanliness was also disappointing. When we arrived, the room looked tidy at first, but the floors were very dirty — my kids walked barefoot for a few minutes and their feet turned black. We reported it to the front desk, but nobody came to clean or seemed to care. We also found small roaches in the room several nights during our stay. We informed the staff, and they said they would spray, but I’m not sure they actually did anything.
Housekeeping service was frustrating as well. It was difficult to get extra towels or clean sheets, and one night I had to call the front desk three times and wait over an hour just to get a blanket for my daughter.
Another downside was the kitchen setup. It was extremely basic — no salt, oil, or simple cooking essentials, and there wasn’t even a decent knife to cut fruit for my child.
Overall, this resort has potential and nice family-friendly features, but the poor cleanliness, outdated rooms, lack of maintenance, and disappointing customer service are the reasons for my rating.

The place is good mostly, but the cleanliness was a big issue. Our crawling baby had black knees and black feet after crawling around for just a few minutes in the room. The floor was very dirty. There was a large wad of hair in the floor next to the TV and also a lot of crumbs lying around. So the floor seemed not to be swept or mopped.
The other big issue for us was that the dishwasher was basically nonfunctional. The racks were rusted out in multiple places so there were always rust flecks in the washer, which can’t be safe or sanitary. The detergent cup wouldn’t stay shut properly so dish detergent would just fall out when you closed the door, and the cycle knob would get stuck about 1/2 way through a cycle causing the dishwasher to shut down till you bumped the knob. Otherwise it seemed to be a great place. The pools seemed nice and well kept and the location right at the beach is fantastic. Just if it would have been clean I would give 5 stars.

All was nice at the resort! However did not sleep at all, the noise where the bedrooms are closest to the road are extremely noisy and nothing to drown out the noise, I recommend getting air machines in each unit! Also, coffee pot we had looked like it was falling apart, and like it was 15 years aloof although it did work, was very worn and rusty! Otherwise nice resort

The ladies at the front desk are not welcoming or nice unfortunately. One took my i.d and then argued “she did not have it” when she in fact did, and ended up giving it back. We saw a roach in our room the second night we stayed. The pool tables they advertised online are ran down and the pool sticks are broken with no tips on them. It wasn’t an absolute horrible stay as my kid enjoyed the water park, but i definitely wouldn’t spend the money i spent to stay here again.

I’m not one to write reviews but I feel it’s necessary to help prevent another family from being subjected to this hotel. I’ll start by saying something positive the experience we had with everything EXCEPT the room itself was good all the way up to great. The water park on property the pools the jacuzzi the beach access all good with the water park being great for the kids! (They had a blast) the room however! Wow. It was soooooooo bad. It smelled like vomit & mold probably because of all the vomit & mold in the room, the extra guest we didn’t ask for aka the large amount of cockroaches were definitely a problem. The room was extremely nasty pubic hair in the bathroom as well as roaches. You do NOT want to walk in this hotel room barefoot or your feet will be black instantly. I dare not use the oven or stove because the bugs had taken that over as their home base so cooking of any kind was out that includes the microwave & unfortunately the fridge too! So basically no kitchen. I wish the room was redeemed by the waterpark but sadly it just wasn’t enough to make up for the deplorable conditions festering in the room itself, if you’re looking for a fun hotel with clean rooms PLEASE look elsewhere.

I liked the breakfast buffet! What I didn’t like was the following: 1st of all the rooms compared to the pics on the website are very deceiving. Once we checked in and inspected the room the towels and wash clothes were dingy not white and clean looking. We went out and purchased our own. The stove , one of the eyes was burnt out. And sparked when you turned it on. The siding door, the latch was broken. Rooms need some serious upgrades! We pulled up to check in. There’s a lady out side beating up a car with a tire iron…. No security in sight! I will not be returning EVER!
