Door entrance a little difficult to find though it’s obvious once you know. Sign small lost among others and you have to press a call button within a group of others which is not made clear you before you arrivee. That said it’s ideal for a solo traveller and very close to the rail station and town old centre. Air conditioning is excellent. It is a small room but all you need for one night. Staff really nice and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at Vela Rooms. Ting, and the staff there are incredible. The Room was kept immaculately, super clean, every day stocked with baked goods, water and juice. And it was quiet at night.

Ting was a wealth of information on what to do in Cagliari and the surrounding countryside and was so kind to us.

There are wonderful restaurants half a block away, so centrally located in the heart of Cagliari, and the bus and train station are like 3 blocks away.

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Cagliari. We will definitely return to enjoy great service, and the incredible food and beaches in the area. Thank you, Vela Rooms for a fantastic stay.

The accommodation was very good. Clean and tidy, in the very center of the city, very very good location. The host took care of everything we needed, in the morning coffee, water, juice and small snacks were waiting for us in the room. Very professional. Parking across the street and cheap to pay. We will return to this accommodation. We recommend it to everyone!!!

Great location but dreadful rooms!

This hotel is in a great location as it’s very central. That’s the only good point, as the rooms were awful! Dark and small with dated furniture. It was like a student dorm conversion with a shared kitchen. Best to avoid!

Very comfortable room in a property located directly opposite the harbour. As this property is centrally located, there is no onsite parking. There is plenty of parking opposite but one has to continually monitor the parking meters.

If you have a car, there is no parking on this property. You have to find public parking on one way streets, which is very difficult/challenging.

We loved that it was close to the old historic neighbourhood, where we could walk for hours, discovering different historical landmarks and small, quaint shops.

Amazing stay

Our stay was amazing, only thing that we were not completely satisfied with,was the breakfast, it wasnt enough, but the hotel staff said that because of the virus they are not offering warm breakfast. The location, hospitality, cleanliness, room was 10/10.

Modern, clean and nicely decorated inside. Good location on via Roma.
We arrived at 2pm and had to wait a short while until our room was ready - checkout is 11am and there are seven rooms. We were given coffee. There is a coffee machine, plus tea and hot chocolate available, and the self service breakfast provided us with fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheese, toast, pastries etc, more than adequate. Bathroom, towels etc were good.
The mattress was clean and comfortable but lacked a mattress protector and the bottom sheet was only wide enough to fit, not tuck in at the sides, which I thought a bit odd.

Not quite the experience we were hoping for

We were moved to a different hotel to our first night as we were told there was a problem with the bathroom. This hotel was fine but seemingly of a slightly lower standard than Vela Rooms. Annoyingly we had to then arrange to check in to Vela Rooms again and were required to fetch our luggage from the other hotel. On arrival we found that our room had been being used for storing other customers luggage and we had to wait whilst the suitcases were removed. As a result of this we wondered whether our room had in fact been double booked for the first night. We were told that breakfast was available in the communal area from 7.30 to 10am. We needed to check out for our return flight at 7.45 but had hoped that we could have some breakfast beforehand; unfortunately breakfast did not start on time at 7.30 and only arrived as we were leaving for the airport. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. A mirror in the bedroom would have been a nice addition.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vela Rooms.No downsides, but things to watch are- try for a room at the back, as I think the front ones would be noisy, also, bear in mind there are limited reception hours, I think 2-6. Coffee is available all day, also while we were there, fruit and pastries. The position is excellent, close to station, good restaurants all around, easy walk up to the upper town- the lifts all seemed to be broken!

It was a few minutes walk away from the train station, great central location with bars and restaurants nearby. The room itself was exactly like the pictures, clean and cozy. I would stay here again.

Perfect location albeit a little noisy

Awesome location, right next to the port, good restaurants.
Little too noisy on weekends as my room was facing the port and acoustic isolation is not the best.

Le personnel est très sympathique, réactif et répond à toutes nos questions.

Purtroppo la camera era senza finestre e senza vista. Una scatola vera e propria, l'unica finestra è nel bagno e da all'interno dello stabile, un ricambio d'aria unico, esce l'aria della stanza e entra l'odore di fritto!

The location is exceptional: across the street from the port and close to major attractions. However, due to this prime location, it might also be somewhat loud at night since there are bars and restaurants located in the same & adjacent buildings.
The room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was provided in the room due to Covid-19. Parking is free in the evening and on the weekend, which works well if you are at the beach during the day, otherwise, it might be a little trickier finding free parking nearby.

Ho soggiornato per 6 notti in questa struttura. In pieno centro di Cagliari...comodi i sevizi per raggiungere le spiagge della città, costa rei, pula e villasimius da visitare. Personale cortese, camere insonorizzate, buona colazione e il sorriso di Gabriele...il ragazzo che ti accoglie al tuo arrivo. E un ottimo B&B dove ti trovi a fare colazione con persone di tutto il mondo in visita a Cagliari. ❤️❤️
