Upon checking in we were welcomed by a charming receptionist. They even took our request as room location into consideration and was done as expected. Room wise excellent bed, well lit bathroom and with all the amenities as expected with Holiday Inn Express. We had a nice and complete breakfast. Free car park is too an added bonus. We are very happy.

Don’t stay here if your car is over 1.9m

We never got to stay even though the hotel kept our non-refundable payment. We only discovered after booking & paying that the on site car park had a height restriction of 1.9m and because we were travelling home from holiday we had a roof box on the car taking us over the limit.

That would have been ok if there was anywhere else to park. Seems all car parks in Dijon have the same 1.9m limit.

I rechecked the listing on hotels.com and saw that it did mention a height restriction but no detail about how high. As Dijon is a popular stop off point for holidaymakers travelling back from the south of France I can’t believe I’m the first to hit this issue, it would be nice to see more explicit height guidelines and alternative parking options highlighted.

I tried reaching out to the hotel for local knowledge of where to park but got radio silence back.

I had no choice but to cancel and lose my money. I contacted the hotel pleading for them to be merciful and refund on this occasion but again nothing in reply.

Both the hotel and hotels.com have ignored me. I still had to pay city taxes when I didn’t stay it would have been nice to see that payment returned at a minimum.

Wonderful hotel despite being next to a very large road did not hear a thing! Staff were helpful (and spoke amazing English). Would definitely stay again.

Good stop over travelling up from the south of France to Calais. Friendly staff and good sized family room, free parking with no height limit. No restaurant for dinner but there’s a Courtepaille restaurant near entrance where hotel residents get discounts off meal. Bar available which also serves breakfast.

The breakfast was not as good as we would have expected, the sausage was awful, the egg was cold and the toast took ages.

The double bed was comfortable but there was a stain on the pillow case. The pull out bed for the children was uncomfortable and also had a stain on the pillow case.

Best reception staff I've met for a long time. Very easy and safe park with no height limit and loads of space. Receptionist was lovely and very kind. Breakfast was perfect and again lovely staff. What a cracking hotel! Stayed on way back to England. Had everything you could need and pool was fantastic. Great simple breakfast and super clean. Took an Uber into centre of Dijon but also know the tram stop is about a 1km walk so easily accessible.

Wi-Fi was down when I got to the hotel; I called the front desk to report it and they said they had already reported the issue to their provider. Breakfast buffet was rather limited. Restaurant not open for lunch or dinner. A couple of restaurants next door: Burger King, a seafood place, and a BBQ/steak house type place. Had dinner at the latter, and would not recommend it.
Overall, the hotel is OK for a brief stay (one or two nights).

***PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU STAY***

The 1st night we couldnt understand why the room was so hot, even though we tried to turn the aircon on, it still seemed very hot.
2nd night of the 30th Dec, we had the same problem. The room temp was around 25degrees Celsius. Again we tried to turn the aircon on and nothing happened. I went to reception and Anne Charlotte informed me that during colder months the deactivate the aircon in the Hotel, she said that if its too hot, I should open the window....REALLY!!!!
In this day and age, we have to open a window especially a Motoway side of the Hotel window.
Needless to say, we were not happy.
Why is this not mentioned on their website????

Expedia couldnt help and said that I need to take it up with the Manager who happens to be on holiday.

Fantastic overnight

The evening manager who welcomed us was extremely kind and helpful. We arrived around 8pm having driven from St Tropez and were exhausted, so his smiling face and ‘nothing is too much trouble’ approach was exactly what we needed. From recommending somewhere to eat, to helping our sons practice their French and generally being upbeat and welcoming, he was brilliant. Hotel facilities were excellent, room spotless, huge shower, pool and amazing breakfast (by the pool!). We will definitely stay again en route through France 👍

This hotel is a good place for a one-night stay. The property is nice. The breakfast was good. The staff was nice, but unresponsive. When told that the mirrors were dirty, they merely apologized without doing anything about it. The air conditioning was not cooling the room. The staff looked at it and the said that it would cool off eventually. It only cooled off when the weather cooled off.

We stayed only one night. It is very close to Dijon Center. The parking is a huge problem in Europe, and this property has it on site. Hotel staffs are pretty friendly, Especially Laura who welcome us. It is a very clean and modern hotel. Free breakfast was very delicious. We will definitely stay there again.
