from the architecture to the amenities, this hotel in the middle of a rice field is just stunning. great onsen, great local food & drink, a cool sake tasting bar----and many libraries to peruse books you can't read (unless you read japanese!) you will need a car to reach it, or a taxi from the station, and you really are in the middle of nowhere. only drawback for foreigners is the super early check out time of 10 am.

また、ホテル外観と周囲の実った稲穂が融合した美しい景観、レセプション周辺の広くて明るい空間、地震で倒壊した家屋の瓦を使用した中庭のアート、温泉やサウナにも癒されました
ただ、上階からドスンドスンという音が真夜中を含めて何度も聞こえた事と、紙管という材質ゆえに致し方ないとは思うのですが、特にイスが劣化により清潔感が無く感じられた点がとても残念でした

Beautiful hotel, worth a stay for the architecture

The hotel is beautifully designed using readily available materials such as paper tubes for chairs and bed heads. The hotel room is spacious with attention to details. However the walls between rooms seem thin and we could hear our next door neighbour knocking around, we could also hear the guests upstairs running in the room (should be the kids), and kids screaming in the corridor. Besides the noise issue, the hotel is well designed, including the public bath which I tried the indoor and outdoor ones. Both are relaxing and stylishly designed.
I would also like to complement the staff who helped patiently with the change in my arrival date. Thank you very much 🙏

The overall service is good and the view is nice. I would recommend this property.

Just some minor issue in winter time. The parking is a bit far and snow cause a bit difficulty to access. The insulation is not quite good for winter. The shower area and the way to open air bath is cold.

This place was amazing. In general in Japan you'll have A1 service. This place has A1 service, on top of that, one of the prettiest scenery. The breakfast on the terrace is beautiful. The architecture of the building, the vibe and all the wood make it so peaceful. It was worth every dollar and would recommend to everyone. The food and library want to make you stay there for the whole day.

The waiter at Moon Terrace is very nice to explain to me the menu in English and also the lady in the breakfast. The downside of the hotel is they should provide a shuttle bus to the train station since it’s very far.

We stayed just one night, but from check-in to check-out we had an amazing time here. Coming from Tsuruoka JR Station, it cost us 1150 yen one way via taxi and 10 minutes to arrive here. Standing in the middle of a paddy pond amid the freshly planted rice paddies of the surrouding area, the design of the hotel is stunning, modern and sleek. Check-in was a breeze and staff spoke very good English. Every corner in the hotel seemed to have something new to see. As far as amenities, we appreciated the deep soaking tub in our room after a long train journey and the option of the public spa area/gym. We were also very grateful for coin laundry on the 1st floor costing ¥300 for washer, ¥100 for 30 minutes drying and ¥30 for the detergent. We elected not to try dinner at the Terrace, but entrees seemed to run from ¥1200 to ¥3000. Breakfast was an amazing spread of Western and Japanese foods. There is a great focus on local foods and sustainability at the hotel reflected in the food selection and gift selections at the gift shoppe. Overall, I was so impressed with our night here, I wished we could have stayed longer.

Suiden Terrasse is a new hotel, and it looks like that. The feel is very modern. It is not at all like your standard Japanese business hotel. The rooms are more western looking and much more roomy than business hotels. I really like the layout of the hotel, it is super neat. There is a welcoming lobby with a great library, local goods, and a good restaurant. The view from the restaurant is beautiful, on a clear day. All in all I would recommend staying here.

朝食のバイキングはとても良かった。夕食はタクシーで移動した為、歩いて行ける所が無く不便に感じた。ホテル内は綺麗だったが、とにかくフロントから宿泊の部屋まで行くのがわかりにくい。部屋からお風呂までが遠かった。

施設のデザインやレストランの料理やスタッフはとても良かったのですが、部屋の仕様が微妙でした。

今回、ダブルとメゾネットタイプを二泊利用しましたが、どちらにも言えることは玄関の扉が薄く廊下に向かいの利用者さんの声が丸聞こえでした。

また、メゾネットの方のシャワーを置く場所について、頭を洗うために高い方を使おうとすると、バスタブの柱に設置しなくてはならないため、まるでユニットバスのような設計でした。

正直なところ、
また利用したいかは微妙なラインです。

호텔리어들의 세심한 서비스가 정말 인상적이었습니다. 프론트.레스토랑의 직원 한 분 한 분이 투숙객을 진심으로 환대하는 느낌이라 머무는 동안 내내 편안했습니다.
또한 호텔 곳곳에서 느껴지는 반 시게루건축의 특징인 따뜻한 소재와 개방감, 자연과의 조화를 중시한 공간 구성이 정말 아름답게 구현되어 있었습니다. 단순히 숙소를 넘어서 ‘머무르는 경험’ 자체가 특별해지는 느낌이었습니다 서비스와 공간 모두 제 기대를 뛰어넘는 훌륭한 숙박이었습니다. 다음에도 꼭 다시 오고싶어요.

Un peu loin de tout si vous voyagez en train, mais cela est largement compensé par les agréments de l’hôtel. Chambres petites mais agréables et bien équipées, bains. Excellente restauration. Très belle architecture. Comme nous étions présents un jour férié, le restaurant était complet, mais on nous a proposé de dîner dans notre chambre, et nous avons été épatés par le service proposé, bien loin d’un simple room service !

気になった点を2点ほど。このくらいしかマイナスがない、ということでご理解ください。

大浴場の脱衣所が若干狭く、数名でも混雑したのが若干ストレス。（これは改善しようがないですね。すみません。）
「SAKE LOUNGE」でプリペイドカードを購入したあとで、隣のバーでビール注文可とお聞きし、ビールをいただきました。プリペイドカードは返金不可と書いてあったのを確認していましたので不満はありませんが、利用者にとってネガティブな経験になってしまう場合があるのでは？返金対応することでポジティブな体験になると思いました。

年に数回利用しております。今回は11か月ぶり。売りの温泉、男湯と女湯を入れ替えたのは、しっかりと案内すべきだと思います。あやうく間違えるところでした。

そもそも、以前も宿泊されてますか？とチェックインの際に聞かれ、はいと返答しているのですから、変更点は案内すべきです！研修バッチを付けた方でしたが、そんなの関係ありません。

デザイン重視のホテルであることは理解しておりますが、男湯女湯を入れ替えは、安全に温泉を楽しめるか否かの重要なポイント。表示ももっと見やすいものにすべき。

以前は、貴重品入れの鍵、男湯=青、女湯=赤でした。鍵の入れ替えていないため、男湯=赤、女湯=青になっており、これも混乱を招きます。

さらに、表示の問題になりますが、入口の暖簾が白地に、男湯、女湯が細い文字で書かれており、夜は見えづらいし、多くの人が使用した後ですと、皺で読めません。暖簾は白地ではなく、赤、青と識別しやすいようにすべきです。

その他も気づく点が多々ありましたが、割愛します。
個々のデザインは良いのですが、もう少し利用者の立場に立って考えて頂きたいです。

・部屋からの景色は確かに良かったが、夜に室内灯をつけていたら外からは丸見えである。交通量のほぼない道路が1本あるだけなのはせめてもの救い。(厚手のカーテンはあるが閉めたら本末転倒)

2度目の宿泊です。Library、ジム、sakebar等、大人向けのコンセプトホテルだと思います。おしゃれで非日常感もあり、チェックインからチェックアウトまで長い時間を過ごしたいホテルです。
朝ごはんもとても美味しかったです。

ただ、今回非常に残念だと思ったのは、他の宿泊客の足音や声があちこちで気になったこと。
お子さま連れのお客様が多かったからでしょうか。建物の作り的にも音が響きやすいのかな、とも思います。
正直、自分だったら子連れでは泊まりたくないホテルだなと思います。騒がない！走らない！とずっと子どもに言い聞かせ気を遣う事になりそうです。
絵本くらいしか子供が楽しめるものもないですし…
いっそのこと、年齢制限設けてくれたらいいのになと思います。

Hotel con vista su risaia

Se si visita Tsuruoka o s'intende fare una gita sul monte Haguro, questo albergo offre un'ottima opportunità di soggiorno. Per chi arriva in auto, c'è un ampio parcheggio gratuito. Le camaere sono ampie e luminose. Peccato che il climatizzatore sia posto ad altezza d'uomo e questo può diventare a volte fastidioso. A prate questo piccolo inconveniente, il confort è ad alti livelli. Se si ha la foprtuna di avere una camera con balcoine sopra la risaia, si potrà uscire di notte e godere della luna che si riflette nelle acquye oltre che ad un concerto inusuale di rane. Il personale è estremamente disponibile e fa di tutto per vincere le bariere linguistiche. Colazione più in stile giapponese con limitata scelta per chi desidera una colazione continentale. Ottimo il ristorante anche se un po' caro. Se siete avventurosi, provate ad andare in città magari prenotando prima per non correre il rischio di essere rifiutati.

Ongelooflijk mooi hotel. Ontworpen voor maximale rust en privacy. Wel redelijk ver van het centrum als je geen eigen vervoer hebt. Het is daarom goed dat je in het hotel kan dineren, al was dat voor Japanse normen vrij prijzig.

家族3人と両親とで滞在しました。緑の稲穂の中に佇むホテルの建物の景観は、とても素晴らしく気分が上がりました。

建物内のつくりはとてもおしゃれで空間が広い印象。一方、室内は風呂トイレは別だがいわゆるビジネスホテルとほとんど変わらない広さ。椅子も1つしかなく、3名1室ではベットの上で過ごすしかなく、あまり寛げなかった。

2点とても気になった点は、3つあるうちの1つの浴場の脱衣所がほとんどエアコンが効いておらず汗だくになってしまったり、洗面の鏡やライトの設置位置が悪く、使いにくかったこと。

もう1点は、朝のバイキングの品揃えがイマイチで、2日ともウインナーがベーコンに変わった程度でほとんど同じだったこと。

景観的にはとても高級感のある施設なので、もう少し内容も充実させればもっと良くなると思う。
