A lovely property with charming staff who really want guests to enjoy themselves. The private ferry to the island is charming. The property is lovely for walking. Meals are not great, but solidly good, with some nice weekly features e.g. Fiji Night, BBQ. In May of 2026, there was no beach at all which came as a big surprise (apparently the result of a recent cyclone, but management never acknowledged this). Thus there was no beach to walk on, and there were limited loungers along the rocky part of the ocean -- scenic and pleasant, but less than we anticipated for a Fiji holiday.

I was unsure how the arrival and check-in experience would go, as I'd heard you need to take a short boat ride across to the hotel from the mainland. This turned out to be super easy, and we didn't need to wait long for the boat to come across and collect us. The service runs 24hrs which is good to know, especially if you have an early or late flight. We had to leave for the airport at 04:30 am on check-out and had no issues. We were on the boat with some of the workers, which was fun.

Things I liked
*Hotel setting is beautiful, with hut-style rooms amongst palm trees. Our room had an ocean view, which was dreamy to wake up to.
*Room was spacious with a nice-sized bathroom, a safe, an ironing board, and a fridge.
*The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful
*The pool area was nice and overlooks the ocean

Things I didn't like
*There was no hair dryer
*You have to pay for Wi-Fi, which is almost unheard of these days
*There's no written information telling guests about the hotel facilities
*Can't swim in the ocean
*Only 2 restaurants - Vulani food was terrible & had not a single healthy option. Tavu was nice, but it's the fancy, more expensive option and only does dinner.
*Given the location, it's an effort to leave the hotel and find other restaurants or shops
*3% surcharge for credit card payments or 10FJFD per transaction to withdraw cash

This hotel was okay for a couple of nights, but I personally wouldn't spend my whole trip here.

We were disappointed to learn there isn’t a beach. Pictures and descriptions state beaches however, you are not able to swim from this area and their beach is covered with debris and the sea walls falling apart. Room was clean. Staff very kind and helpful. The best part of the place, is the pool. The float up bar is nice. The buffet, especially the “burger” night was awful. There are not many options and most items are geared to their Indian guests. So much so, that there were nights where even the adults were getting chicken nuggets from the “kids offerings”. We tried to go to Tavu for dinner for our last night and were turned away because they said we needed a reservation. No one told us this, there was no sign, nothing was told to us at check-in. They had 6-7 tables open. When we questioned how people were supposed to know they had to make a reservation, they could not answer and instead offered us a table that didn’t have a reservation until 8 pm. We were there at 6 pm. She couldn’t make it make sense. They could definitely upgrade their flat pillows. We were glad we only booked 3 nights for our stay, as staying longer, would have been miserable with the food options.

The place was nice but looked a little tired. The staff were lovely and very helpful, which was the best part of our stay. There were a few things in the room that needed attention, and we had to move rooms because the fan was making a pounding noise in the roof.

In the second room, the toilet was slow to refill, the wardrobe light would not turn off, and the kettle base was hanging off.

The biggest disappointment was the buffet food. It was barely warm, and in the evening, if you were not there by 6pm, much of the food was already gone.

Overall, it was not the standard we have come to expect from a Hilton Hotel.

Very disappointed with our stay. We had stayed here twice before and the overall care and attention to the simple basic room needs for guests were not met.
Took 4 trips to the front desk to even get cards to open the door. Was a fault with the machine on the door.
Aircon not working after night two became unbearable group had to move rooms
only to have rain drip on their heads over night.
Not once were the rooms completely replenished of basic necessities. Ie. towels, then a floor mat for the shower, toilet paper, water, tea, milk. We had to daily ask for something the staff had forgotten. My bed sheets were pilled to the point it felt like I was sleeping on sand. After day 5 we gave up asking for the basic necessities and just worked around what we had.
Travelled with a group coming for a special occasion and the stay put a huge damper on the holiday having to come back to your room, no toilet paper, no water, no soap. You go on holiday to relax, and trust the hotel takes cares of basic needs.
This is a Hilton branded hotel, guests should expect better. Understand it’s a chilled vibe at the island resorts, however believe it or not guests still need toilet paper. It’s basic room service.

Only down fall is there’s no actual beach, in saying that we did go n look at the other hotels at Denarau, apart from all the Reno’s going at these hotels the double tree holds it’s own very relaxed atmosphere and not over crowed like the bigger chains.

Overall, a really nice stay, but if we’d known how isolated it was, we might have chosen somewhere closer to the marina for easier access to tours and dining options.

Detailed: The room was very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Cleaning was good, although we had to request fresh towels a couple of times as they weren’t replaced daily. The air conditioning worked, but didn’t cool the room enough to feel fully comfortable. We still felt a bit warm even with the fans & AC on.
The staff were a highlight, always friendly, smiling, and happy to help.
Breakfast had a good variety of options, but they started packing things up about 20–30 minutes before the official closing time. The same happened with dinner, where shows started late and kitchen service wrapped up earlier than expected, so you had to arrive early to avoid missing out.
The pool area and pool bar were great ☺️clean, well maintained, and a lovely spot to relax, especially with shaded areas during the hottest part of the day.
One thing to keep in mind is the LOCATION. The hotel is quite far from the main marina, and there are no nearby restaurants. Unless you book tours through the hotel or hire a car, you’ll likely spend most of your time on the resort. The boat transfer staff were always kind and helpful, which made getting across easy.

The property is badly rundown.
The every other outlets in the room is not working, we put something in the refrigerator to find out next morning the cheese melted.
The room barely cleaned - dust on the bed overheads, dirty doors. White towels and robs not white anymore.
Breakfast buffet food is absolutely average , to say the least.
Tables and utensils not washed/cleaned properly.
Honestly speaking I have no idea, why the price is do high.
On a top of it: traffic is terrible. It took 90 min for us to get to the hotel from the airport, and another 30 min to check in and get to the room…
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I recently stayed at DoubleTree Resort Fiji for 5 nights, and overall it was a wonderful experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, always ready to help with a smile. The views from the resort are absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a great variety of options to start the day, and the pool area was excellent, clean, and enjoyable for both adults and kids.

We also tried some activities like the river cruise and horse riding, which were both really enjoyable and added a nice touch to the holiday experience.

The buffet dinners were delicious with a wide range of food, though they are on the expensive side. One important thing to note is that almost every transaction is done by card, and there is a 3% transaction fee added each time. Having access to cash could help save some money on these extra charges.

Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with great service, amazing views, and plenty to do—just be mindful of the additional card fees.

I has high expectation since it was a Double Tree we frequent Double Trees in the USA. We arrived by boat and there was no attendant at the dock. We pulled our bags all the way to the office to find the front desk overwhelmed. We purchased an ocean view bure, the room was in the back with \"the view being a narrow space between two buildings. There is no beach at this hotel just a rock wall. No free internet at your room. The food was slow to prepare and tasted bad. My daughter got sick in the bed and we had to call the front desk 3 times to get fresh sheets. You have to take a boat to get to the road and the only cabs available there are run by the hotel at an inflated rate. The pool was nice and the rooms were big and clean.

Third stay at this property, I don’t think we would stay again. Basic amenities not replaced in the room, towels. Toilet paper, water etc. Key cards unable to open doors. Air con was broken. No one ever seemed interested came for a special birthday and over all pretty disappointing stay. Understand it’s Fiji, and it’s relaxed. However we shouldn’t need to ask for the rooms to be cleaned, and basic room

The staff was very nice and welcoming from the moment we arrived to when we left. The only issue we had was when we were trying to get back into our room and the room key stopped working. They kept giving us the key and saying it would work but it took walking to the desk 4 times before they finally sent someone from engineering over to fix the lock. The food was pretty expensive and not much in the way of different options everyday. We wish the pool was open longer at night since that was the only time it wasn't so crowded. We loved everything about this resort. From the beautiful welcome, clean large accommodations, the pool and the friendly staff. Our only complaint is it took us 3 days to figure out where we could get lunch and dinners in different parts of the resort. We were under the impression that there was only one restaurant so we ended up eating every meal there. It started getting very boring after a few days; literally had everything they could offer after a few days. The themed buffets were great but expensive. I would have liked a bit of a property map tour to explain where things are and how things work. It could have saved us a lot of money if we knew ahead of time.

I wouldn't stay here again. The first room we were allocated was dark & far away & had a view of a small wall & not much else.
The second room we had was better, but our neighbours had kids who screamed all night long for 2 nights in a row (and the parents didn't seem to care) & the resort weren't that phased about assisting. The food was ok, but not worth the price considering we changed to another resort in Nadi & it was $5 less per person at the buffet & had way more options and much higher quality. We ordered room service one night & it took over and hour & two phone calls to follow up (for bottled water and sprite) - it seems their ordering app doesn't actually tell the staff you've ordered? The front desk were also pretty gruff that night. Pool/bar were good, and the staff were by far the strongest part of the resort - they were all friendly and attentive. I just didn't feel this stay was worth the money we paid, especially considering you're paying $65 each time you leave the resort to go anywhere and $65 to come back as it's far from most amenities and you're paying tourist prices to travel. Aside from the pool and the bar, there's not much of anything to do at the resort so you most likely will want to leave if you want to do anything other than swim or drink or nap. We ended up leaving midway through our booking (giving up three paid nights at DT by choice) and were much happier at the next resort - I didn't feel the DoubleTree hit the mark we were expecting.

There were no amenities, room service plate not cleaned for over 3 days, flickering lights especially not ok for photosensitive people, not cleaning floors and bedding, buggy service not coming when requested, no TV or Netflix, cockroaches, lizards, bird droppings on bed, no water for over 5 hours even when requested 3 times to follow up after housekeeping in the morning. Really disappointing!

Only improvements could be in the area of having more varieties in food options across multiple restaurants. The property location is beautiful and worth it even if it is a bit far from the airport and main action.

Staff is helpful in general but front desk is not. We arrived early and since our room was not ready, and there was no reasonable facility to shower and freshen up for a morning out, we accepted the offer to upgrade to a higher-priced Bures which was available. Only to sit around waiting for hours for housekeeping to clean it. The lady at front desk ended her shift and walked away. When my wife went to check with the new staff in charge, she was rudely shooed away. I had to escalate to the manager, Margaret, who did get us the room ASAP. Overall, rontdesk was neither efficient nor nice to deal with. Suggest to get male senior staff to keep the catty women in check and make it a friendly atmosphere.

Pizza for lunch at the pool was terrible - not Margherita but just frozen Cheese and tomato on old dough heated up. Just not Hilton standard.

Not enough vegetarian options on the a la carte menu - but Penne Arrabiata for dinner was excellent.

Sunset River Cruise was a major fail - boat did not startup and we just spent the evening on our balcony.

Overall, expect more from a Hilton - looks like it was recently taken over and the staff and menu may be a carryover. Suggest a refresh of leadership and more training to make this world-class and worthy of the lovely property instead of a mediocre local experience.

The DT by Hilton is an exceptional property. Our room was spacious with a wonderful ocean view and a couple of free water bottles every day to top it off. The room was clean and the cleaning service was excellent. We did have a bit of an ant problem but that was handled in a day. The infinity pool with the swim up bar was incredible. The staff was kind and courteous but there did seem to be a disconnect there. We arrived early morning, left our luggage and off to an excursion while waiting for check in time. We came back very tired. We were told that our room was ready but to wait for baggage help. We waited 15-20 minutes always being told help will be her in moments. It never came so I begged them to show us the room as I carried my bags. Similarly, our door lock was hit and miss to open. Mostly miss. It would often take up to 10 attempts before the door would open. Twice we were seen struggling by staff. We called the desk, went to the desk and the staff members said they would report immediately. It was days before the lock seemed to work correctly. I assume something was done. There was no communication. That’s why they lost that 5th star.

Enjoyable stay

We had a nice stay. Loved arriving and the little boat over to the hotel. The floor of our room was wet when we first walked in so we had to get someone to come and dry it. The pool was nice with good views. Breakfast had a pretty good selection. The staff were friendly. It was probably a little more expensive than what it was worth but we enjoyed our night there.

This resort is ok. Nothing more nothing less. First off you have to take a less than minute boat ride which is not so safe for children in my opinion. No safety or life jackets reassurance. Secondly, the rooms in the resort are nice especially double king room, however, all the furniture and sinks or fixtures have ants coming out like crazy. Which makes the cleanliness poor. I had to keep killing them and complained to have it taken care of but I don’t think it was. Third , this resort is extremely boring! There is no daily entertainment from staff or events. No pool slide, life jackets or toys for children. Only one mediocre restaurant which also has very poor slow service. Breakfast was very disappointing! The same foods were put out daily, presentation was very poor. And pancakes waffles were always cold. The fruit over ripe or too sour. Yuck. Absolutely nothing special and waste of money spending at this resort in my opinion. Can’t even swim on property by the beach.. I wouldn’t recommend more than a night here if you absolutely need to stay in Nadi.

This resort and room were very nice, maybe a little pricy at $530 per night for 2 adults and one 13 year old.The staff were very professional and the service was mostly excellent, but staff were overworked at peak meal times.
Breakfast pricing could be more flexible. The fixed price of just under A$30 makes the cost of breakfast for an early teenage girl, or small eaters, expensive. $30 for a piece of toast with peanut butter and a cup of coffee !
The Oolala cruise was exceptionally good with the tour guide being very knowledgeable and most entertaining. Please pass on our compliments to him. Also please pass on my thanks and compliments to the staff member managing the children’s horse riding. our daughter absolutely loved that experience.
Overall a most enjoyable holiday.

Room was very basic apart from being a bugliw there wasnt anything else to it. Food was so bad on burger night there were no patties upon waiting for so long towards the end the chef brought some limited stuff to us. Chicken smelled ; eggs smelled. Apart from living on chicken nuggets and chips there wasnt anything to eat. Quite literally. Try asking them for Fresh towels and water. Its all a lie. Dont go here.

Staff overall were good pleasant and welcoming ,value for money was a let down .
Food and drinks expensive and food was well below a perceived standard.
Waiting over 1-1/2 hrs for a meal the 1st night .The second night the meal was almost inedible ,sparking water was straight out of the tap.We moved past these issues and enjoyed our stay because this was a well deserved trip ,with the wife completing chemo treatment. But value for money and getting what you pay for wasn’t factored in the equation.Thanks to the staff for their efforts they made the trip , but management need to take a close look at there performance and what is offered to guests - not to the standard expected .
Enjoyed the trip but wont return to fiji again value for money and quality leave alit to be desired .

We felt like we were treated special every day. The breakfast team (thank you Jim) were awesome.
The housekeeping team (Thank you Ana) kept our room fresh and clean every day, making little sweet towel & flower arrangements on our bed every morning.

We absolutely loved our stay at Doubletree. The staff are super friendly, Fijian style. If you’re looking for a place where you’re able to disconnect from everything around you and all the noise without breaking the bank or travelling far this is a place to go. It’s perfect for children. A great place to unwind destress and relax.

Hotel is okay, they have a lot of things to improve. There’s so much potential.

We had the one king bed, ocean view bure and was beautiful. The only annoying thing was the AC is not cold and the tables had very bad stains but room was very clean.

There’s no fun activities included in the hotel, if you want to do something you have to pay or book a tour. They had an entertainment show on Saturday night and there’s no promo or they don’t tell you at check in so we missed it.

The sharing areas are covered in bird poop, extreme!!! There’s only one small pool, not properly cleaned but has a nice view. The beach water there is brown… and you can not swim is just the view.

You must book tours and taxis outside of hotel, they are cheaper. Calculating is better to stay at Denarau area because of the expensive taxis we took everyday.

There’s no wifi in room, you must pay and is horrible, is better to go to the front counter and there’s free wifi and works better.

All the employees were very nice and polite to us, some of them very talkative and wanting to help.

Overall will not stay here again, too expensive for what it is.

We checked in at around 6pm after traveling all day. At check-in, I was told by the lady working the front desk that reservations are normally required for the main restaurant but, not for the first day late arrivals like us. However, when we showed at the restaurant around 7pm for dinner… we were told that without a reservation we would have to wait until 8pm to be seated… even though less than 50% of the tables had guests at them. Later in the week we showed up 10-15mins early for a dinner reservation and were told we had to wait until our reservation time to be seated… even though the restaurant was again less than 50% full. The breakfast/dinner buffet was sub-par and the food was generally cold. The room (and the view from the room) was very nice but, a microwave would be very much appreciated. Guest dishes from room service were left in the (outdoor) hall for hours, which attracted cats to the dirty dishes.

All-in-all… not the resort experience I had hoped for.

Everything was amazing, cant say anything bad, only no cutlery in room. No shoes as tiles were cold just cant were my canvas in the room. Other resorts property have those things. Lovely staff, a guy name jim as beverages beyond above customer service. Love the surprise cake for my wife brithday
