Great place in a great location. Just a walk away from a sweet little town with great restaurants.
We spent little time here due to Driving. The pool was very nice and nice to have the little bar open

It was just in time after a week of touring Italy, we neefed the rrst and relaxation and this hotel eas exactly the right one.
Very clean and nice.
Great staff and service.
The spa was fabulus and quiet.
Botom line - highly recomended.

The staff was great. We got free access to the indoor pool sauna. Breakfast was good. Only negative was the air conditioning did not seem to keep the room cool. Overall good place to stay thank you Sabrina and Alberto!

We chose this hotel after viewing the photos of the beautiful scenery and spa. Have to say, the room and bed were very comfortable, and the cave spa was nice. But, giving hotel 1 star rating because, We did not see a spa price, so we called the hotel directly before booking. The receptionist said the spa price is 30 euros per person. We thought the price a bit high to charge per day. But, we wanted the experience and booked the room. Upon checking in, and requesting a spa pass, the woman at the front desk, who seemed to be the manager or owner, now said that they have 2 spas with 2 separate prices. One for 30 euros and the other for 40 euros per person per day.
We explained that we had called ahead and were given incorrect information. She was not willing to acknowledge the mistake, was difficult to talk to with bad customer service.

they have a spa, salt caves and pool. the spa facilities are not included in the hotel price and they are rather expensive. the area is beautiful and the grounds are well-kept and scenic.

breakfast was ample and very good.

the staff was very nice and accomodating. the rooms were lovely. the parking lot was a little tight, however, difficult to maneuver a big car!

-Close to several landmarks, restaurants, & towns
-Friendly, responsive staff
-Room supplies regularly replenished
-Attractive lobby w/ lots of naturally lighting
-Clean rooms
-Elevator makes it easy to move luggage up to rooms

CONS
-Pools, spa, and grotto close at 8pm; people often use hot tubs after dinner/late night, so this might be an inconvenience for some.
-Guests smoked in rooms for several days, smoke smell filled hallway
-Shower steam sets off silent smoke alarm.
-IMPORTANT: Pool and spa access is not included in all bookings; hotel said we "didn't get a package." Outdoor pool (+$30 per person per day [pppd]), indoor pool and spa (+$40 pppd), grotto (+55 pppd). Hotel should state this term explicitly, not use indirect/vague terms. While planning an overseas trip, it’s hard to investigate all terms as there are so many moving parts. Hotel should say specific bookings do not include access to these specific amenities, and don’t require people to call Italy to hunt down any important terms. I am sure that patrons would really appreciate immediate transparency.
-Hot tub felt like the same temperature as indoor pool—not hot—jets w/ weak pressure turned off & on in irregularly fashion
-Wifi connect was poor, only used my cell data/roaming at hotel
-Thin walls, hear people talk, doors close late night
-Hotel key ring was heavy and large, just an FYI, might be common hotels w/o card keys

The Tuscan valley the property is overlooking is absolutely priceless.
The resort is elegantly furnished, with all the amenities you expect in a resort.
We are already planning to fly back from N America to visit again in October.

Lovely Hotel at the Edge of San Quirico

We enjoyed our stay at the Casanova Hotel in San Quirico. The hotel is in a convenient location just outside of old San Quirico. It's about a 10 walk into the old town center. The views around the property are absolutely gorgeous (it's right by the Podere Belvedere so if you're a photographer it's a great location). The pool area looks really nice but when we went it was early spring so the pool wasn't open yet. The room was spacious with the living area on one level and the bedroom and bathroom on an upper level. The only complaints I have with the room is that the shower is pretty small and you can hear nearly everything in the next room (there was a family staying in the room next to us and you could hear them when they walked up and down the stairs and when they talked). Breakfast was included and there was free parking so those were pluses. I would certainly stay here again if I was in Val d'Orcia.

Tuscany is lovely during spring if it does not pour on you. I literally went to Pienza everyday. So the location for day/bike trips, to Siena, Pienza etc is perfect, for the cost it is charging.

Great place with great view

Everything about the hotel was great except the comfort of the pull out sofa.
We were a company of three and we booked an apartment. The second bed is not a bed suited for adults. Although it was a queen size bed, the mattress and the frame were extremely uncomfortable. You rolled to the middle of the bed after few seconds in bed.
Other than that, the staff was great, the service excellent, and the location perfect.

Close to San Quirico town centre

Rooms were ok, reasonably comfortable but slightly dated. One of our rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which upon notification to the front desk, was promptly replaced with another room which was fine. Very close to the town centre although the roads are not easy to walk as they are narrow. The town centre itself is very neat and picturesque, and a short drive out you can see amazing Tuscany scenery. Breakfast is ok - not spectacular.

My daughter is getting married this July in San Quirico d'Orcia. We are staying at Casanova and rehearsal/reception dinners will be at Barbarossa.
Sabrina, Carmen, Enrica and Alessandro have been a pleasure to work with in coordinating the details of the wedding from the rooms to the food.
We choose this site because we have been coming to this hotel for many years.
It is walking distance to San Quirico and driving distance to Pienza, Montalcino and Siena. You can hike the country side from the hotel.
They have both an outdoor and indoor pool plus a grotto.
This year they put new temperpedic mattresses in the rooms. Great nights sleep.
Breakfast is typical European. Fruit, bread,sweets, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cererals, sliced meats, coffee and juices. Plenty to get your day started.
The restaurant next to the hotel has the best food in the area. Enrica takes special pride as Chef in ensuring quality meals to the customer. They serve wine and products from the surrounding area.
I highly recommend staying at Casanova

Under the Tuscan sun

It was a nice place to stay at. The location was okay. It was in between montepulciano and montalcino, which were two areas with great wineries. There were two pools. One outside with a very nice view, and an inside one which also had a sauna and hot tub. The AC in the room worked well. The shower was a bit uncomfortable, but I don't expect a huge shower space in Europe so it didn't really bother me. Breakfast was included which consisted of pastries, fruit, coffee/tea, and juices. It was decent if you don't require a big breakfast.

I think we couldn't have asked better location than this for our stay. I am passionate photographer and this location was the BEST. The sunrise view and the trademark Tuscany postcard photo is right there. I loved the location and would recommend to anyone who likes to visit Tuscany.

Only negative is the breakfast that is included with our booking, it was not at all interesting at least for us - vegetarians. Plus the toaster was broken so we couldn't at least toast the bread. We had to go out to eat breakfast, not end of the world though.

And, another best part is that there is a restaurant next to the hotel and the food was good. Lot of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Mind you that the restaurant is closed on Mondays :D

Nice Hotel at great Location

The stuff at the hotel is very helpful. The location is great and they have a very good restaurant on the property. On their website they write amenities is a minibar and refrigerator. It's actually one unit, the minibar. But we were able to put our food in it, and we did not get a complain about it. The only thing they could improve is their old bedding style.

Although room was good our balcony overlooked the car park. Upon asking if we could change we were told yes, for another €40 per night!!!! Although the main part of the hotel overlooked the Tuscan hills (beautiful) we thought the extra charge was not acceptable.

Excellent location and wonderful place to stay

Casanova Wellness Center was within walking distance to San Quirico D'Orcia and driving distance from some of Tuscany's most beautiful landscapes. I found this hotel to be an unexpected surprise. Many amenities such as spa, pool, veranda, restaurant and bar on site. I was a little surprised that English wasn't spoken or understood well for this highly traveled area, but I would still highly recommend staying at this location. Hotel was extremely clean, shower was extremely small, but still worth the stay.

De wellness staat niet aan wel als je het vraagt, maar dan doen ze de helft aan.

Bella struttura, ottima per trascorrere un weekend nel totale relax delle colline toscane. Peccato che il nostro si è concluso molto male, a causa di un furto all’inizio della strada sterrata che porta alla cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta. Ovviamente nulla a che fare con l’hotel, ma colgo l’occasione per raccomandarvi di fare attenzione, non lasciate nulla in macchina (anche se ben coperto nel cofano), perché l’apparente tranquillità del posto potrebbe ingannarvi e rendervi preda di farabutti come accaduto a noi ieri mattina.

Instalações muito boas. Café da manhã não tão bom quanto o esperado, mas bem justo. Estrutura de SPA excelente, apenas com o inconveniente do horário de encerramento que me pareceu muito cedo (20:00). O hotel não conta com restaurante próprio, mas há um muito bom na área adjacente e os hóspedes tem desconto de 10%.

Una bellissima struttura in un contesto ancora più bello. Le colline della Val d'Orcia rappresentano un patrimonio inestimabile. Peccato che il ristorante era ancora chiuso e che per entrare nella sala termale bisognava prenotarsi, altrimenti il mio giudizio sarebbe stato ancora più alto.

Ottima struttura dotata di ogni confort a pochi metri dal centro di San Quirico d'Orcia. Le camere sono arredate con gusto, silenziose e confortevoli sebbene le standard risultino un pò piccole. Personale gentile e servizi in linea con le attese compreso il parcheggio gratuito. Ottima la colazione e per gli amanti del wellness palestra e spa rendono piacevole il soggiorno.

Struttura bella, ma camera molto rumorosa (con condizionatore troppo vecchio e rumoroso),
la Spa è carina, ma visto il costo della camere e quello da aggiungere per la Spa, far pagare l'affitto di accappatoi e ciabatte ci è sembrata una caduta di stile.
La colazione sicuramente molto variegata era però troppo disorganizzata.

Achei tudo maravilhoso, mas acho que o hotel poderia explorar mais o seu bar, principalmente a noite; ter uma opção de se tomar drinks com comidinhas rápidas no lobb do hotel que é lindíssimo. Achei caro a parte do spa, pois vc não fica o dia inteiro numa piscina. Faltou também, dentro do Box dos banheiros, suporte para colocar sabonete, shampoo etc .

Cauchemar en arrivant la prioritaire a commencé a gesticuler avec un ton de générale ma signifie que je n'avais pas de réservation pour le spa et que je devrais payer. Passer ce moment désagréable la chambre sensée être une junior suite le lit était un lit de camps le canapé complètement défoncer. La douche en mauvais plastique type hôtel deux étoiles. Le petit déjeuner tout préfabriqués. Enfin la fameuse spa une piscine chlore au-delà des normes un vacarme de jet insupportable

Fantastic stay

The hotel is located in one of the best regions of Tuscany. The views from the pool area are simply breathtaking. The staff was very cordial and willing to fix any problems. When we first arrived the bathroom was a bit dirty with hair from previous guests but they immediately came to clean it up. Our shower in the room also leaked causing the floor to become a small lake. Again, they were fast to come dry up and provide more towels. The beds and rooms are very comfortable. We loved the pool area, the water was simply fantastic. They adjust the temperature making it not too cold yet not too warm.
There is a delicious and cheap restaurant next to the hotel which you can walk from the pool area and charge your room. It was a fantastic stay, we truly enjoyed it regardless of the bathroom issues. Highly recommended.

Fantastiskt hotell med underbar utsikt, härligt poolområde, bra service och en kanon restaurang med utmärkt mat till bra priser. Detta var definitivt inte sista gången vi bodde på detta hotell. Rekommenderar det varmt! Rummet var rymligt och rent. Gångavstånd till det lilla centrumet.

Hotel situato a due passi dal centro di San Quirico d'Orcia. L'hotel dispone di una piscina e di una spa. I servizi termali, le grotte, la spa, non sono compresi nel prezzo della camera e vanno pagati a parte.
Noi abbiamo alloggiato in una junior suite, camera tipo monolocale con soppalco, molto grande.

Bonne étape. Lit confortable et calme absolu. Attention spa payant (15€ par personne). Je vous conseille plutôt d aller aux Bagni San Filippo (grotta bianca). Merveilleuses sources d eaux chaudes thermales naturelles. A 20 min. En voiture. Expérience fabuleuse. Restaurant près de l'hôtel avec bon rapport qualité prix. Allez visiter le village de Pienza à 10 min. Superbe vue sur la vallée.
