This was a great place to stay right in the heart of Delphi. We were greeted warmly by George and his wife Vicky who helped with our luggage and a suggestion of where to have dinner. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. The breakfast was also very good, and we had the best cappuccino of our whole trip made by George. This is a wonderful find for anyone visiting Delphi, you will be welcomed like family and feel right at home.

Loved staying at Pitho! We had a room on the top floor (no elevator but the host offers to help with bags), the shower is small but worked fine for us. The breakfast and morning coffee were delicious with a nice variety of foods. The hosts were super friendly! It takes just a few minutes to walk to the historic sites and museum. Delphi is beautiful. (Be aware that the parking is on the street and you might have to walk a bit.) we highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

George the owner is very nice and accommodating. Very pleasant breakfast and the rooms are clean with good A/C and cute views. The only negative in our case was our room had two twin beds put together to make a queen of sorts and the shower was super tiny with water all over the floor when used. These are minor and expected issues, just pointing them out for those that find them significant. Great place overall and highly recommend. You won't find a nicer host.

We stayed at many places during our time in Greece - on the islands and mainland - and Pitho was by far our favorite. The owner and his wife are so accommodating and wonderful. We arrived late and the owner was there to show us our room, make dinner recommendations, and tell us about the museum. Breakfast was amazing. The only bad thing is that we didn’t have time to stay there more than one night. If we ever find ourselves back in Greece, we will be spending more time in Delphi and more time here.

The proprietor was very friendly. He came out to meet us as we pulled up. Parking is always hard in Delphi and he was ready to help unload and suggest places to park. The breakfast was good. Lots of fresh jams and preserves and great Greek coffee. Cereal was also available along with omelettes and various types of bread and croissants. WiFi was available and good enough for voice over IP. Lots of places to eat nearby.

Nice people and hotel. breakfast I think is separately billed. Walking distance to the ruins. Beautiful scenery on the hilltop. At the end of the stay I was given excuse after excuse for problems in my stay rather than making me feel like a valued guest. More like the excuse that \"other guest\" have never complained or had a problem we had. Narrow stairs only to room. No elevator.

George and Vicki’s place was wonderful! The hotel is in an excellent location conveniently located near many shops and restaurants in the main part of town. George is so kind and clearly cares about the guest experience. He greeted us outside the hotel, helped carry up our bags, and provided suggestions for site seeing and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom is updated, though the shower is very small and difficult to use without getting water on the floor. The air conditioning is very high quality and the balcony is a great place to relax and read after a day of site seeing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Delphi!

Exactly what we needed!

My wife and I were going to be passing through Delphi and needed a simple, inexpensive hotel for one night. Pitho was perfect! It's a quaint boutique hotel near the archeological site, and George, the owner, was a wonderful host! He insisted on helping carry our luggage up the stairs, he gave us a map with a few points of interest nearby, he recommended a fantastic restaurant in the neighborhood, and he was also a very pleasant and friendly guy to chat with. We hope we pass through Delphi again someday just so we could stop in and say hello. :)

Delphi is a pretty little mountainside town, and Pitho is right in the middle of it. Lots of shopping and dining options right outside the door, a <10 minute walk to the museum, and a few minutes more to the archaeological site. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the town, but you should be able to find some with a little patience - I was able to, even at peak season. :)

Pitho a great choice for special Delphi stay

Pitho was a great hotel selection for our night in Delphi with my husband and daughter. Their triple room worked great. The breakfast was ample with many local homemade items. George is a fabulous, welcoming host and made our visit unforgettable. The hotel is walking distance from the Delphi ruins site. We also really enjoyed our dinner in Arachova at a farm to table restaurant called To Tsoukali and our amazing visit/bee tour the next day to MoKa Honey in Itea only 20 minutes away. The whole stay in Delphi was lovely and well worth it.

We loved our stay here! We found parking easily on the main street (we may have been lucky), and were greeted immediately by our hosts who were so friendly. The room was spacious and spotless with a picturesque balcony. Breakfast was home-cooked and amazing. I can't say enough about our hosts -- they were so welcoming. It was a perfect choice for our one-night visit to Delphi.

Parking will be a problem since a near by parking is 10 minutes' walk. This property has a retail shop downstairs. The owners is a nice guy if you need a friend. I saw many similar properties around the area so it is worthy to check.

Rooms PITHO is centrally located in the town of Delphi convenient to many Tavernas. There is no private parking but we had no trouble parking on the street in early October. The host was very congenial and the room was spotless. Ancient Delphi is only a few minutes away. The breakfast was very good and the room price reasonable. Overall this was a fine choice for a night in Delphi

The hotels is situated at the central area of Delphi and is very convenient for your visit there. The hotel seems to be a family run business and the receptionists are very friendly. They gave me a very warm welcoming and treated me like we are friends. The hotels reception is located in the 1st floor. Although the hotel has no lift, the receptionists are ready to help you bringing your luggages to higher levels. The room was clean and comfortable. It has a little balcony and you can hear the comforting church bell ringing. The breakfast seemed to be traditional greek type and was good energy to power you for your visit.

Tiny personable hotel

The hotel is tiny, sitting on top of a shop with touristy wares by the same owner, George. The rooms too are small but comfortable enough. We had a balcony facing a nice inner court. There is no elevator, but George will not let you carry suitcases. You couldn't ask for a better \"service\": George will give you all the information you need for your stay and he and Vicky will serve you an excellent breakfast. If, as it is likely, you will arrive with your own car, you may want to call George in advance and coordinate with him: parking is very difficult to find (but he can help you) and even seeing the hotel is not so easy among the many small front signs and the few street numbers. But once you park your car, you may not need it until your departure. Unless you must have a luxury hotel with huge rooms and valet parking, Pitho is next to perfect.

This is a small friendly hotel which is ideal for visiting Delphi. The owner is very welcoming and the room was comfortable and quiet. Pitho Rooms is a small family run hotel, in the centre of Delphi, short walk from the main bus stop and attractions, located above a souvenir shop. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the street with mountain views between the opposite buildings. Our room was spacious and comfortable with tasteful decor and furnishings and included a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the air-con and wifi worked well and the bathroom and shower were good. One of the factors that made our stay at Pitho enjoyable was meeting the owners George and Vicky who made us feel very welcome right from the start. George is energetic and happy to provide whatever assistance or information you require as well as good coffee and conversation at breakfast time. The breakfast is worth having since not much is open early morning in Delphi. On the whole we're very happy we chose to stay at Pitho Rooms.

The owner, a local family, is super sweet. We checked in late (11pm), but he had stayed late for us. Parking was a bit tight in the city because of a Greek holiday but there is a parking lot nearby. Room spacious enough for a crib. Balcony was an oasis. Although overlooking an alleyway, the overlooking wall was decorated plants and lights. Breakfast was filling and included Greek yogurt and locally made marmalade.

An Excellent Place to Stay in Delphi

We traveled to Delphi in mid-November, it was low season for tourists as the weather got colder—60 F (15 C) during the day. Without the large crowd of tourists, the ancient temples gave more mythical shine; the mountains and the town looked extremely beautiful. We are very glad that we chose to stay in the town overnight instead of taking a day trip from Athens.
We found a parking spot on the street lined up with shops; as we got out of our car, a few shop owners greeted us and asked whether we needed help finding somewher, it so happen that Pithos was right cross street, and the owner stepped out to help with our luggage and said he was waiting for us.
The hotel looks very elegant, the hosts have a large gift shop at street level, a beautifully decorated living room above it serves also as the breakfast area; our room was further up facing a little court yard. The room was very clean and well-appointed, it felt very relaxing.
We visited the archeological sites before checking into the hotel, as the sites close at 3 during winter season, they are only a few minutes’ drive away—they are about 10 minutes on-foot, but you’ll have to walk along high way. We stroll the street after settling in to the hotel, and found a very good restaurant, enjoyed the excellent cooking, the mountain scenery and the sea in the distance.
After a good night of sleep, we enjoyed a family-style breakfast with freshly baked bread while chatting with the owner. It was a totally enjoyable trip.

Owner is very knowledgeable of the area and very eager to help. The rooms are good sized and the Hotel is centrally located in the main strip. Parking was a bit of an issue, but we were able to park on the street only a half a block away. The hotel is well maintained and the owner is very attentive. Lovely place, great service, close to ruins

We stayed two nights and loved the Pitho. The owners including their children took such good care of his guests, including us. The hotel looks new with beautiful details. View from balcony is amazing. A lot of restaurants nearby. We walked to Apollo temples and Athena temple, and the museum. The town is very nice with unique atmosphere. If you have car you can also drive 25 minutes to Gulf of Corinth with beautiful bay. We really enjoyed Delfi and our stay at Pitho. The owner is very knowledgeable of the history of the area.

Most helpful hotel owners

Very nice place to stay in Delhi - clean, good location, nice breakfast - would absolutely recommend it. The hotel owners are very helpful with details on where to eat, when to visit the sites and transportation. They also held onto my luggage after check out so I could visit the sites. Would stay here again.

Delphi's best hotel...IMHO.

Was going to stay in Athens and visit Delphi as a day trip but that means 6 hours in a coach..so decided to stay in Delphi hotel and so pleased I did. Very clean, convenient hotel run by a nice family, very keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Arrived late but quickly provided with recommendation for food which was very good. As a consequence, got a good dinner, a great nights sleep, a filling breakfast and was ready and raring to explore Delphi site. Hotel kindly looked after luggage whilst I checked site out and was given an orange juice when I got back which was very nice. Very relaxing.

If you are thinking of visiting Delphi, do it as an overnight stay at the Pitho Rooms - on top of everything it also makes economic sense as a room in the Pitho is much cheaper than a hotel in Athens and you are not having to get up at 6.00 a.m. to get a coach...and can book a more convenient return journey.

Great place to stay in Delphi

This B&B is a very nice place to stay in Delphi. The hotel is centrally located: just a 10 minute walk to the Delphi museum and the ruins, close to all of the restaurants in town. The owners of the hotel (George and Vicky) are very warm and welcoming. George was born in Delphi, and it was great to talk with him about the area. He gave us some good tips on places to eat and things to do, and he really made us feel at home. We intend to return to Delphi, and we look forward to staying at the Pitho Hotel again.

Amazing small hotel (guesthouse)

Great location in Delphi. We could not have asked for better room! The bed was amazing and breakfast was perfect. The owner's were very gracious and we had some great conversation!! We always enjoy talking to people in small towns when we travel and seeing things through their eyes.This hotel should be a benchmark for small hotels in Greece......

Wonderful Family-Owned Hotel near Delphi sanctuary

This hotel was very nice and right near the ancient sanctuary at Delphi. It is along the main road, so it is close to many restaurants and shops. It is family-owned, and everyone there took great care of us! They were incredibly helpful and made us a great breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Super hosts and great location.

Location is unbeatable. The hard working and engaging owner, George found us an excellent guide for the archeological site and museum @ the last minute, gave us the best of recommendations for restaurants and some fun tips for the drive to Olympia.

Very warm welcome, caring host

Our host was enthusiastic, helpful, gave great directions to places and restaurant recommendations. Location was fine. We paid extra for breakfast and enjoyed it.

Our host, George, was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location was very convenient but could be noisy being right on the Main Street.
