The room smelled like mildew - to the point where my clothes smelled like it even after I got home. The room had only a few hangers to store clothing - there were no drawers at all, so you had to live out of your luggage. The blanket had a suspicious brown stain, but was replaced promptly when I texted. The strange thing is that there's no staff. I didn't see one person who worked there. You check in on an ipad (which didn't have my reservation). There's no daily room cleaning/bed making. It's fine, just not for the price.

There is not a front desk staff. Everything is through email/phone. Once they process cc you will receive your room number and code to get into the room. It was a very nice clean inn. Definitely a great spot for a family.

It’s a bit creepy to have no human beings on the property to answer questions or provide warmth of service. Traveling alone it felt a bit ‘off’. There were not many guests either so while it was ok it was certainly not memorable. I would not recommend.

We walked in and the place is so cute and rustic. There was a luggage rack for us to bring our bags in. There was a freezer chest with free bagged ice in it which came in handy for our cooler for after our race. There is also a little coffee bar in the lobby. The room was well decorated, comfortable beds, clean linens and clean bathroom. There was soap and shampoo and conditioner. Also had a hair dryer. The shower had great pressure and was hot. Highly recommend this place for a short or long stay. We slept well and it was very comfortable.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I understand this hotel relies on a contactless, "no staff on site" concept, the model completely fails when an emergency happens. This was our second stay here. The first was fine, but this experience was an absolute nightmare.
We checked into our room at 5:15 PM, only to find the deadbolt on the door was completely broken and would not lock. We couldn't leave the room or our belongings unattended due to the obvious security risk. I called and texted the numbers they provided repeatedly, but it took a stressful 25 minutes just to get a human being on the line at 5:40 PM. To make matters worse, the code they gave us for a replacement room didn't even work, forcing us to go through the entire process of contacting them all over again.
The situation was ultimately resolved and we got into a new room, but it wasted 50 minutes of my night.
When I requested a partial refund or a fair discount for the severe inconvenience, they insultingly offered a mere 10% off. It is not like we were just missing a towel or the TV was not working. This was a major security issue. The fact that the door was completely broken means they did not even bother to check the room before check-in. As a paying guest, my time was wasted dealing with a maintenance failure that should have been caught during a standard room inspection prior to my arrival. A contactless hotel only works if the technology works.

Odd to check into a place with no actual person to greet you.
I didn't really like using the lobby phone to speak with someone about questions about checking in and getting my room number.
Room was clean and neat.
They have a closet for guests to go to get extra towels etc.
The biggest disappointment was the pool. The water was so cold we couldn't enjoy it at all. We paid extra for a place with a pool and then couldn't use it. Not sure I would stay here again.

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. There is no staff. They double charged me after not sending out the codes to the room and canceling my stay without my knowledge.

The bed sheets were dirty, the room was bare, and they lacked basic amenities. This is a scam, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Lovely living room space with fireplace and board games, cozy lodge decor , coffee bar-on main level.Enjoyed nearby restaurants . We came off season & loved it! Highly recommend

I stayed here on a Thursday-Saturday and it was very chill not many people besides the worker who was very nice. Parking was very easy, lots of space. The hotel was super cute and had a great range of things to do in the building. The game room was a ton of fun and decorated really cute. My room was cute although when I arrived I noticed the toilet paper was opened and used from the previous guest and the carpet didn’t look vacuumed, but other than that everything was clean and tidy. Check in was super simple online and so was check out! I would recommend this hotel!

This hotel was recently updated and it is fabulous!It had an active room for every age and a beautiful indoor pool equipped even for handicapped guest.Outside a great firepit with outdoor trials to small sledding hill and further down to a wonderful sandy lake beach.
Great place anytime of year from skiing to leaf peeping.
I will definitely be back!

I didn’t stay at this hotel. They had a water problem. So I couldn’t check in. No big deal. Love the place. Been there a ton of times. Expedia is the problem. Charged me even though I didn’t stay there. Refused to refund me. Horrible 3rd party platform. Should be ashamed of their lack of service and shady business practices.

The rooms were clean but were starting to show signs of age. The bed would squeak and the mattress would sink in the middle. There was a fly in the room, which took forever to get it out. I thought the decor was nice. The concept is of Airbnb rooms but within a hotel. There’s no onsite front desk but there’s daily maintenance it seems. The living room lodge is cozy, the free cocoa/coffee was great, and the game room/pool was nice. Overall, it was a great value and would gladly return.

Clean and spacious room but limited furniture and broken lamp (switch missing & bulb was not in the lamp).
Old air conditioning - very noisy and inaccurate/ineffective temp controls. Older windows - noise from the highway quite loud.
Additionally, in case there is a late bird guest in the room above you, forget about a restful night sleep - footsteps noise and interference are really bad (ask to be on the 2nd/top floor).

The property and rooms were great. The only let down was that there was no front desk or anyone there to check you in. Myself and another guest were trying to check in and neither one of us could get a hold of anyone to tell us what room we were in. The house keeping staff was helpful in getting us to our rooms eventually but this was very frustrating to deal with.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was very large and well decorated. The location is great for skiing, and there is a yummy restaurant just across the parking lot. My only complaint is that the indoor pool was very chilly. We made it work. Otherwise, the check-in and checkout process were very easy, and we had a nice stay.

We skied all day, checked in at 4, left to eat shortly after that, then went to the pool, so we didn't spend much time in the room.
About 9:30, we are in the room and my son is walking around in bare feet. He starts complaining about foot pain, and he's got all these tiny shards of glass or quartz in his feet. Turns out the floor of our room had glass dust or sand spread all over, and it scratched up my kids feet. We got up and left by 7 AM, so we didn't spend a lot of time in there, but they need to use a good vacuum, that was bad.

Large clean room with a comfortable bed and really nice clean sheets and clean towels. Nice large shower. Room comes with a small fridge. Great location for skiing at Sunapee!!
Coffee is complementary, in the lounge area that has a fireplace and ample space to read or work on laptop. A great Irish pub next door makes an easy choice for dining.
Check in is online and the room lock code is emailed for self service seemless access. So easy - Definitely recommend !!

Love the no contact, online check in/out. We got the room number and code texted to us, so we could go straight in. The room was spacious enough for our equipment (two snowboards + gear) and clean. The bed was comfortable.

I also appreciated the little coffee bar set up in the common area. Plus the games room (though we didn't use it, it was nice to know it was there.

The only thing good about the Hideaway is the location. With no reception desk it is self-check in and the process is painful. When I tried to reserve a room, from the hotel lobby I found it was easier to sit in the lobby and reserve thru expedia. Not to mention their 48 hr no refund cancellation policy. Once in the room it was baren, no desk, no shelf nothing to put my luggage on except the floor or 2 small chairs, no alarm clock and no in rm coffee machine. The bathroom was OK but the frame around the mirror was falling apart. And to boot there was some truly offensive artwork on the wall. the value was nowhere near the cost. Never again no matter how good the location is

We loved our stay at the Hideaway Inn! The decor is fabulous, our room was clean and had plenty of space for us and our things, and it was very quiet at night. The restaurant right across the parking lot was a huge plus! We liked hanging out in the game room downstairs and had fun picking out some records to play in our room during our stay. We’re planning to return soon!

The fire and shuffle board in the main room were awesome and the place is filled with board games! My kids also loved the coffee bar where they were able to endulge in hot cocoa. Had a great stay for a quick trip to ski Sunapee. Can't beat the location at the bottom of the mountain and right next door to a restaurant. Pool was not crowded, room was just right for what we needed (king + 2 twins) for our family of four. First time with this concept of an unstaffed hotel. Easy check in/out, and we didn't need anything during our stay so it worked for us. Only complaint is that the walls/ceilings are thin. If you are unlucky enough to share a wall or ceiling with a noisy neighbor, be prepared to grin and bear it.
