The old girl needs a major upgrade. The hotel lobby it lovely and the colors are vety pretty but paint alone doesnt make up for the lack of amenities and modern touches a hotel on the Delray trip requires.

-Window a/c is noisy and wonky
- real door keys. Really???
- the water pressure in the shower is abysmal. And they still have bathtubs. Yuck.
- the bar is very small and are cheap but not too good. Needs a signature cocktail menu.

Plentiful parking at the hotel itself and the beach club. Very friendly staff. The pool club is a hidden gem. Huge geothermal swimming pool, beach access, use of a refrigerator, sit down lunch service available, van transportation from the club to the hotel provided for no cost, and great shower/changing facilities. The hotel itself has a nice continental breakfast, live kusic most nights and a great bar to start the night/wind down the evening. Just a wonderfu, historic property right on Atlantic Avenue.

Ok...so old style, its obviously historical, staff very friendly, location a plus, beach had awsome help that served excellent lunch, beach amazing, the Hotel was very clean ..just a bit dated..I believe because of history.
Anyway worth the money..would have stayed later but had to go back to work...lol

You can park behind the hotel which is very convenient. We enjoy the April art show which runs up and down the street in front of the hotel. It's nice to take a break after, maybe a little nap, shower, change, then dinner somewhere within walking distance. The hotel bar and lobby is a nice place to end the nite. Breakfast let's you people watch out front or in one of the comfy, colorful downstairs areas.
The rooms are comfy and the staff is full of helpful dining tips. It's located right in the heart of downtown with lots of shopping and great places to eat.

Clean room but musty smell from the moment you walk in and in the room. Not a greeting from the front desk people. They were too busy on their phones or buried in a computer. When I checked out, the young man handed me the receipt, said nothing. Not even “here you go,” and of course did not ask how the stay was, did not wish me a good day, did not say good bye. I was taken aback by the utter rudeness that pervades the front desk people. Also, the check in area looks like an old hospital station with staff not only there are miserable and rude, but look disheveled. The owners really scraped the bottom of the barrel to find these staff. Clearly rejects from the hospitality industry. Now, that said, room and bathroom old but spacious and very clean - once I blasted the AC to get the mustiness out of the room, but that took a full day. Location and price great, but would rather pay more to be in a place with professional and courteous staff. One exception - bartender was very good - great drink, cordial and courteous.

Very disappointed in the breakfast- cereal , muffins, fruit and yogurt- no eggs, toast etc.

Ben needs to work in a job other than something customer facing. It’s embarrassing how bad he is at customer service. The hotel is a relic of days gone by, and NOT in a good way. We left after one night. The location is great but that’s pretty much where it ends.

Expedia marketing was misleading! Pool is NOT on property. Staff except for one pleasant lady when we checked out could care less if we were there. No hello, goodbye or acknowledgement that we existed. Queen bed was not a queen. Desk attendant said it was their queen size. Offered to move me to a king for more per night
I feel Expedia meeds to make this right for us!
While Expedia is at it also fix the misleading information about Alamo car rental at Ft Lauderdale airport. It is NOT walkable and ALL car rentals are there not just the three that are advertised.

Location is fantastic, rooms are clean, and parking is free. Lack of a fridge in the room is my biggest complaint since I prefer to have my own snacks and drinks. Also the morning breakfast is cold cereal and fruit which isn’t a great way to start the day. I order a hot breakfast from a nearby restaurant and ate on the hotel front porch area.

The room was adorable! The lobby is gorgeous. The hardwood floors are something you don't often find in hotels, and it made the stay feel special. The shuttle to the Cabana club was super helpful and the club itself was a dream. Gorgeous heated pool and beach space. Bill at the front desk was amazing! He held our bags before we could check in and helped us with our weird schedule. My only complaint is that the breakfast was pretty subpar, even for a hotel. No bagels, oatmeal, or anything substantial. Just fruit and yogurt, cereal, and muffins. Also surprised to see no plant based milk alternatives for the coffee and cereal! Not ideal haha but the hotel is historic and super cute!

This was such a charming hotel & fit exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shopping. With so much charm and personality I felt like I was transported back to the 1950s. I will definitely come back here again. This will be my go to. Also, the guitar singer hosting a yoga class was perfect.

This was a nice quaint historic hotel. However, the room we received was extremely loud and we did not get much sleep. You could hear every car motorcycle that recedes their engine, which was all night nonstop. This has nothing to do with the management, simply the position of the property. The bed was harder then I like. Just be aware if you get put in 102 or 101 you’re gonna be at the noisiest part of the hotel, you might wanna be moved if noise bother you.
The staff was impeccable.

My son has recently moved to this area of Florida, we have been to this hotel 4 x in less than a year. It's truly a hidden gem! The beds are so comfortable, we sleep great when we go there.
Beach club has the nicest staff and the lunch served there is basic but delicious!
The last time we were there though there was a problem with the air conditioning, (they are window air conditioners). They kept stopping , we would have to unplug it and plug it back in. We did report it when leaving Room 214! Otherwise , we never had a problem. Perfect location with free parking! Give it a try!

The location is great, but the property is old and lacks modern amenities and in-room comforts. Wall A/C unit was noisy and didn’t really cool the room down. Pool and beach club are offsite and will require an uber- front desk claimed it was a 40 minute walk….no way. Shuttle runs every few hours there but stops conveniently at 4pm which is when check-in is. There is no bar or restaurant and the pool and beach club either which would’ve been nice for the front desk staff to tell us. Overall, this was just an OK stay. It served our purpose of staying the night to meet friends in Delray. However, I will probably opt for a chain hotel next time.

Vintage hotel with vintage charm, but lacked modern conveniences ie, bathroom fans, usb ports, limited electric outlets. Limited handicap accessibility due to stairs to enter
Pros: friendly staff, laundry facilities, bar service after 4:00, continental breakfast/coffee in mornings, on strip with easy walking to bars/restaurants and a lovely veranda with bistro table and music on weekends.

On the negative side, this historic hotel itself is a bit shabby and the lobby is dark. The poorly trained front desk staff member who checked us in neglected to tell me that they offer a really nice breakfast gratis every morning with home made muffins. On the positive side, the rooms are nice and the beach club, located two miles from the hotel, is wonderful. It has an enormous pool, a lovely open air restaurant and is right on the beautiful Delray beach. Also, it is delightfully quiet with no pumped in music or cell phone conversations allowed. Overall, I’d say the hotel is a real find as the prices are reasonable, parking is gratis, breakfast is excellent and the hotel offers a shuttle to its beach property if you don’t want to drive. We definitely plan to visit again!
