Beautiful rustic setting. However on arrival we were told no rooms were available although we had produced our booking form. The manager made a phone call and then miraculously rooms were made available!! Didnt understand what game was being played. The manager then was all charm and courtesy. After the initial shock and annoyance the stay was pleasant

Nice rustic village hotel

Charming rustic hotel based in the etna area. Based in a quite village over looking Etna, great base to explore the etna and coastal area, we were only 30mins drive from the beautiful Taormina and beautiful beaches. The hotel it self is a charming rustic hotel with lots of traditional character. Our room had a balcony overlooking the village.

Worst experience ever!

Although we had initially booked the accommodation for our entire stay in Sicily (10 nights) the poor conditions of the accommodation forced us to leave immediately the premises, having to look in a rush for a new accommodation at the peak of the hot season of the island.
The service and accommodation was unsatisfactory in the following ways:
1)Five minutes into having checked in into the B&B the receptionist left the premises holding our passports overnight and without giving us any emergency contact number.
2)The walls of the accommodation were thin and permeated all the noises around: we could hear the snoring from the neighbouring rooms and in the morning the steps of people going down the stairs at 7.00 am woke us up.
3)The beds were super uncomfortable, with very hard and worn out springs. The sheets looked dirty and washed out
4)The shower cubicle was tiny, the curtain full of mold, the drainage wasn’t working so you ended up with your feet soaking in the water accumulated during your shower. The hot water supply run out after the first person in the bedroom had showered.
5)Our young daughters were placed in a room that was literally on the street and without any security other than a surveillance camera that probably wasn’t being monitored by anyone as there was no staff in place at the time.

The hotel refused to reimburse us for the nights we did not use and we were left paying double for our holiday accommodation.

Wonderful stay with very personal service. Home cooked meal that was delicious. Would recommend this hotel to anyone that want to stay away from big hotels. A little hard to find, had to ask local people for directions.

Best deal ever

First of all I would like to thank Mr. Rosario (Manager), it's due to him our stay was simply superb, he had prepared every night our traditional Sicilian dinner and apart from that all other arrangements well care in advance for us in very good way. The hotel is quite clean and we realized that in general our stay was even better than our expectations. All staff personnel are very friendly, air conditioning works fine as well as the internet connection. I don't have a single complainant for this hotel. Only one single advise for travelers is to hire a care in advance in order to make your stay perfect!

Non touristy, rustic, value for money

We enjoyed our stay here. It was in a off beat location, very interesting if you want to see the non touristy side of Sicily. You will need a car if you want to visit the many excellent sites in the area. Etna is close as is Taormina and we even drove down to Siracusa for the day from here. Catania airport is about is just over an hour's drive away. The owner, Valentino and the staff were very helpful and friendly. October 2014

Lovely room with great balcony with views across the valley/town. Excellent breakfast with full buffet of tasty choices.

Only slight let down was cold showers in the morning....only stayed one night and water got hotter later, so don't know if this was a one off.

Pleasant ten day stay

Our family of four stayed for ten days in two rooms in the main part of this rustic B&B.
Our rooms were clean , comfortable and had balconies with great views. The other rooms are spread out and may involve several flights of stairs so may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Breakfast was good with a wide selection of pastries, cheese and cold meat. The fresh orange juice and coffee were great The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.

We specifically booked a B&B with internet access as it was important for our son & daughter to catch up on revision. Unfortunately, the internet connection was very hit and miss.

Another issue was the thin walls. - even normal pitched sound travels far. I suppose there is only so much that can be done given the age of the B&B. The noise was not too much of an issue with us but might bother other light sleepers.
The atmosphere around the B&B is peaceful and calm and we enjoyed the hooting of owls at night.
Despite the two negatives, we would highly recommend a visit to the B&B to enjoy typical Sicilian life. The village itself is beautiful and has lovely walks and views.

This was extremely difficult to find. We had to obtain directions from several local people. The hotel room was cold, damp. The beds were uncomfortable. The shower leaked. Breakfast disappointing.

Real Sicily far from the madding crowd,

If you want to see the real Sicily & experience & sample family cooking at its best this is the place for you, but you must have a car, and drive with care, so much to see, & Castiglione well worth exploring with its steep steps & streets but you will find so excellent restaurants mainly the La Dispensa Dell'Etna for lunch & the Presidenta for a one off meal but the hotel is the place to eat in the evening. If you found any problems this would soon be rectified by the excellent Valentino & his staff who do all in their power to make you stay wonderful.

Love the place

My wife and I went for our 25th anniversary, and we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and had all the nessessary ammenaties. The bed was a little hard for me but comfortable all the same. The shower in our room was a bit small for us. The staff and owner were awesome and very helpful. Morning breakfast was great too. Even with the small shower and the harder bed we would very much like to go back there. Our whole stay was very pleasant

Quirky but nice

Probably more a B&B than hotel but there was bar in the dining room. A bit difficult too find but if you look for the little petrol station and I think there's probably only one, you're almost there. The manager, Valentino, is a really nice helpful chap and if I had a criticism the walls are a bit thin.

Lovely B&B in lovely quiet town.

Cute B&B in the lovely village of Castiglione di Sicilia. Good location, parking (in the street but within metres of B&B - watch out for possible missing tyre covers) Rooms are not soundproof so would recommend to ask for one that is further away from the main building or on the first floor because you never know if you're going to have noisey neighbours. The bed was fine but squeaky which is not so great if you're a light sleeper. The breakfast buffet was the best one offered on our trip around Sicily. We arrived late and left very early so did not get to explore the town very much but would definitely come back and stay again.

Really pleasant stay in a quaint B&B

The location of the B&B was really unexpected as the road does not actually go right to the building, you have to leave your vehicle on the street about 100 yds away and walk in. Finding it in the dark was a bit of a confusing experience. However, the host was extremely hospitable and the breakfasts were great. The room was clean and pleasant but a bit small for 3 people. The washroom was really small, but not unexpected as the price of the room was very reasonable. This is really an out of the way place, but a great location to use as a base to explore the surrounding area from.

Old school room in amazing medieval hill town

Not for everyone. More like old school Italian accommodations. Small rooms, very thin walls. Bed was not so comfortable. It was a double, split down the middle as are most we have encountered in Italy. However, this bed had a big ridge and valley between the halves, and the two halves kept sliding apart. B&B very difficult to find the first time, though townspeople were very helpful in locating it for us. When we arrived there was no one at reception, but came later. However, beautiful building with wonderful little patios in an amazing little town with twisting narrow medieval streets. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast served in a beautiful little room. Owner speaks English. Close to Mount Etna North. We went hiking on the volcano from Piano Provenzano, which was easy to access from here by car.

A good hotel in a quiet old city

This hotel is a good hotel, owner and staff are very friendly, hotel is clean and quiet, services are good. One thing is missing a small cooler or fridge in the room I personally told Valentino the owner and he agreed and promised that he is going to do his best to be sure that small fridge or cooler will be fitted in the rooms.

Great quirky bed and breakfast

This was a very quirky and unique bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the setting was amazing. The village had soul too. Breakfast was basic and limited but adequate and the bread rolls were delicious.
Our room was comfy but the shower was poor, the door was broken and there was very little hot water, not enough for two showers. bathroom was often very wet because of broken shower unit. It was also tiny with little room to move. However, we really enjoyed our stay there.

3 star hotel but 5 star service!

We have just returned from 14 days at the hotel and cannot speak too highly of Valentino and his staff who provided excellent service in a friendly and efficient manner . I don't speak Italian but we always found a way of communicating thanks, in the main, to Valentino's excellent English! I will never forget eating breakfast outside under the Sicilian sunshine with wonderful cappuccinos. Fantastic value for money. We had a hire car which is best way to get around. We will return.

Lovely place to stay, but difficult to find in the dark! Don't try to find it via the old town, look for Via XXII Maggio, off Via San Vincenzo and you will find it OK.
The rooms are small but well furnished and the breakfast buffet good, very pleasant staff.

Convenient location for many places

The hotel was conveniently placed for sight - seeing in several locations. The room was very basic, and the hairdrier disappeared after the first night. However, the breakfast was plentiful and there was a good variety to choose from. The owners were very friendly. Good value at the price.

Peace and quiet in the countryside

Being a country location, the guest house was better than I anticipated.
On the positive:
- Rooms were reasonably sized
- Location was fantastic, views were great, very quiet
- Renovated old building, you enjoy the old fashioned charm
- Staff was VERY nice

On the negative:
- While the bathroom was roomy, the shower was tiny. Couldn't bend over to wash my knees!
- No soundproofing between adjacent rooms
- Hard to find the first time, but easy after that

Enjoy your stay! My wife and I and 2 kids (4 and 1yr old) sure did!

Only for the B&B expert

Hard to find even with via Michilin directions. Difficult to pull up to but you can park within a 100 yards. Town is close to Taormina, Etna and the beautiful little town of Castelmola(well worth the visit but the drive is not for the fain-harted). B&B is clean and comfortable but minimal English spoken.If you go off season you have to call upon arrival for the owner to show you to a room. Breakfeast is more than enough All and all it was a nice place for 3 days if you can live with the slight inconveniences.

Great location

I recommend this hotel if you don't need a lot of creature comforts. It is closer to a 2 star hotel, however we got our room at a very low rate. The location was absolutely fantastic. I had no idea how beautiful this town would be. If you are in Sicily, it is worth a drive to this town. I'm not sure I would actually stay in this hotel again, unless the rate was as low as this time. Breakfast was included and the staff was outstanding. TV in the room. But you can hear everything the other guests are doing (don't sing in the shower). Overall, it was fun for one night.

Unfortunately we didn’t get any check in instructions, so we had to call them to send a guy to check us in. He didn’t speak a word of english, so the information was rather lacking.
He tried, via google translate to tell us he would clean the rooms.. but in the end we had to ask for it… that ment ‘making our beds’ but not cleaning the floor or taking out the trash or restocking toiletpaper, etc.
Also the shower cabin was so small, thet it would only fit a child.
Also we had to call in the morning to find out where they served breakfast, etc…
All in all extremely poor information.
We also never saw any staff in the reception area.
The b&b itself had a lot of potential, but unfortunately it fell through because of the lack of information:(

Altstadt Hotel leider ungepflegt. Die Lage ist ja ganz OK die Zimmer im Allgemeinen wären nicht schlecht. Leider ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit sehr hoch die Zentralheizung ist defekt und die Klimaanlage genügt in der Zeitfunktion nicht dies zu beheben. Die Reinigung der Zimmer beschränkt sich offensichtlich auf das Bettenmachen die Böden sind schmutzig die Duschen verkalkt. Es könnte ein schönes Hotel sein wenn...

La CB n'est pas acceptée et l’hôtesse des lieux n'a pas de monnaie pour le paiement en espèces de la chambre. Avant de partir il faut donc traverser le village escarpé pour trouver un lieu faisant de la monnaie afin de régler le montant de la location de la chambre... La moindre des choses serait d'avoir de la monnaie quand on refuse les CB et qu'on demande un paiement en espèces.
Et sinon, pas de wi-fi alors qu'il était annoncé sur la réservation.
La chambre est un peu \"vieillotte\" mais propre, la douche très petite, mais la terrasse, la vue sur ce beau village et le prix compensent bien cela.

Solide Unterkunft, sehr einfache und Ausstattung

Unterkunft in idyllischem \"Bergdorf\" mit fantastischem Blick auf die Burgruine. Wir hatten eine große Dachterasse und konnte alles überblicken. Tolle Aussicht!
Der Weg dorthin war etwas beschwerlich, hat sich aber dann gelohnt.
Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt.

Waardeloos, Laten je stikken na vertraagde vlucht.

Na een vertraagde vlucht van Transavia kwamen we om 22:45 h aan op het vliegveld in Catania.
In bagage hal direct het hotel gebeld om te zeggen dat we later kwamen.
De meneer aan de telefoon zei dat we helaas niet meer konden inchecken na 22h ,
Waarop ik ff stil viel en zei: dat meen je niet?!
Het enige wat er bij meneer uit kwam was sorry.

Dan maar expedia proberen te bellen, die hebben vast wel een 24 uurs hulplijn voor dit soort dingen.
Op de boekingsbevestiging konden wij geen telefoonnummer vinden, maar op Google wel.
Na het nummer gebeld te hebben volgt een ingesproken tekst met openingstijden.
Morgen (zondag) is het kantoor weer vanaf 10h bereikbaar.
En nu?

Na lang gezoek en gepraat vonden we iemand van de douane die ons de nacht in de terminal liet doorbrengen.

Hôtel agréable pour une étape ou plusieurs jours

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit dans cet établissement qui propose, dans le joli village perché de Castiglione de Sicile, des chambres réparties dans s d'anciennes maisons rénovées, mais nous avons été enchantés par le charme du lieu et surtout l'excellent accueil du patron.
L'hôtel propose un menu du soir au rapport qualité-prix imbattable.
Nous recommandons vraiment cet établissement.
Merci encore et peut-être à une autre fois.

Grazioso appartamento incastonato in un paesino veramente caratteristico ai piedi dell'Etna. Sfondi meravigliosi per gite e tempo libero da trascorrere all'aria aperta passeggiando a piedi o a cavallo. La vicinanza alla costa (e che costa) permette di intervallare i 3000 metri in cuota Etna con meravigliose gite in barca..... il tutto fra cortesia e prezzi in alcuni casi irrisori. La colazione fatta in casa come anche una una semplice e genuina cucina sono i compagni migliori per trascorrere giornate di totale relax.

Das ist die gute Option für derjenige, die eine Wanderung um die Etna planen. Das Hotel hat schönen Aufblick auf die Festung von Castaglione, die in der Nacht toll beleuhtet ist. Das Hotel vermittelte auch einen sicheren Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war ehe klein, aber mit dem großem Bett ausgestattet und einem gemütlichen Balkon. Frühstuck war ausreichend und die Personal sehr freundlich. Taormina und Alcantara Schlucht kann man über malerischen Serpantinen in 40 Autominuten erreichen.

Formidable dépaysement car l'hôtel est implanté au cœur d'un vieux village sicilien . Les chambres confortables sont installées dans des \"maisons de village\" situées au dessus de l'établissement . Rosario et sa femme Djeta ont comblé nos papilles en préparant des repas siciliens délicieux avec des produits frais du terroir, très copieux et très gouteux pour 13 euros (hors boisson) .
Les petits déjeuners sont à l'image des repas, généreux et onctueux, des pâtisseries maison sont préparées par la maitresse de maison .
Accueil extraordinaire par le couple d'exploitant qui se mettent en quatre pour satisfaire leurs clients. A recommander et très envie de revenir y séjourner.!

Bonito, bien situado pero con inconvenientes.

El Albergo es bonito pero tiene bastantes inconvenientes que no se comentan a la hora de reservar. Si te toca una habitación alta las escaleras son difíciles y estrechas. El wiffi no funciona en las habitaciones a pesar de que está anunciado. Otro inconveniente es que no tienen tarjeta de crédito (o por lo menos nos dijeron que no les funcionaba). Preferiríamos haber pagado un poco mas y tener esos servicios. El encargado del Albergo se hace un poco insistente.

B&B in den Bergen

Das B&B ist schwer zu finden, in der Dunkelheit unmöglich. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich altbacken und dunkel, sehr eng, es befinden sich 2 Stühle im Raum und ein Kleiderschrank, welcher ebenfalls muffig ist. Hinzu kommen ziemlich abgenutzte Kopfkissen und ein sehr hartes Bett, wo die alte Matratze ständig von den Federn durchdrückt. Schwer zu ertragen ist aber die Hellhörigkeit in den Räumen. Jeder Schritt, jedes Wort -Alles- wird von den Nebenräumen oder der anderen Räume und dessen ständig wechselnden Gästen verstanden. Erholung findet man nicht. (Das Bad auch sehr verwohnt, aber zu ertragen, für die Mini-Dusche sollte man sehr schlank sein)!
Man nutzt dieses B&B, wenn überhaupt nur für eine Durchreise, aber auch dafür könnte ich mir einen anderen Aufenthalt vorstellen. Der Wirt und seine Art sind gewöhnungsbedürftig, nicht jedermann Geschmack. Meiner Beobachtung nach, sind Gäste italienischer Herkunft, überschwenglich bebgrüßt und auch untergebracht worden. Frühstück war o.k., viel Süsses und immer dasselbe. Kaffeemaschine funktionierte auch nicht immer. Bei der Ankunft haben wir ein Abendbrot (leicht überteuert) bestellen können. Es blieb bei diesem einen Mal. Ich fand es sehr enttäuschend, für die ansonsten sehr leckeren Gerichte und Variationen in Italien/Sizilien. Eine Speisekarte gab es natürlich auch nicht, was eine Voraussetzung zur Auswahl und Order von Speisen, sowie Preischeck sein sollte. Von Montag bis Samstag gab es Baulärm vom Haus nebenan.

Cordialità e gentilezza

Siamo stati due giorni nell'albergo diffuso santa caterina. E' chiamato diffuso poichè sono vari locali (palazzine) vicini tra loro e non facenti parte di un'unica struttura. Nel complesso risulta molto caratteristico anche perchè le varie stanze, presenti nelle singole palazzine sono tutte vicine. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo. Il personale molto accogliente e gentile. Abbiamo pure cenato nella struttura e devo dire che la cena è stata buona.

Fin beliggenhed i denne lille middelalderby.

Rart sted -nok lidt stille sidst i september -borgen lukket (fra midt sept.) og bare tre men gode restauranter åbne.
Efter nogen fumlen fandt vi de nemmeste veje ind til B&B.
Der er lydt på værelserne, men det er allerede oplyst så ok.
Fin tur ned til \"floden\" med starten af den mere spektakulære canyon længere nede af strømmen.
Værten kan sørge for klækkelig rabat ved ture til Etna -helt op...a.n.s.t.r.e.n.g.e.n.d.e. men absolut et besøg værd HVIS vejret er ok -check vejrudsigten !
God strand med afslappet atmosfære ved Naxos nær Taormina.

L'albero diffuso Santa Caterina è indubbiamente molto grazioso e la stanza ben arreodata e confortevole; ma ciò non basta a rendere un soggiorno gradevole; lo staff che la gestisce non è molto gentile, inoltre avevano prelevato dalla carta più della somma pattuita dall'offerta approvata dal sito Venere. Ciò non mi pare molto professionale.

Valentino, qui a le même prénom que moi est le propriétaire. Rosario et sa femme Getta ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Dans un site rustique et typique de la sicile, ma femme et moi avons passé un séjour magnifique. Situé à flanc de montagne avec une vue imprenable sur l'Etna et à 30 mn de la mer, cela a été pour nous un bon lieu d'attache pour visiter la Sicile. A notre retour tous les soirs, Rosario nous avait concocté un repas très goûteux et typiquement Sicilien. Souvent des pâtes,oui, mais jamais les mêmes et cuisinées de manière différente aux ingrédients divers et variés , un véritable délice. Nous avons été très émus le jour de notre départ tant Rosario et Getta ont été aux petits soins pour nous.
Sur une période de 8 Jours nous n'avons pas pu faire le tour de la Sicile mais aux prochaines vacances peut-être, c'est certainement à l'hôtel Santa Caterina que je séjournerais.

Sistemazione economica, ma un po' troppo spartana

Arrivati in questo piccolo hotel ci e' sembrato davvero carino ed il personale si e' mostrato fin da subito gentile. Purtroppo una volta giunti in camera ci siamo resi conto del perche' il prezzo fosse cosi vantaggioso. Probabilmente se acquisterete un'offerta per questo albergo vi manderanno nella camera che hanno dato a noi, nella quale non ci sono finestre (solo un deumidificatore) e il letto matrimoniale e' stato ricavato dall'unione di due vecchissimi materassi singoli. Per il resto e' giusto segnalare la pulizia della camera e la bonta' della colazione. Quindi se siete disposti a fare qualche sacrificio non e' male come sistemazione, ma di certo non e' all'altezza di cio che promette.

Disastrosa esperienza. 30 gradini alti e stretti vi accolgono dopo aver dovuto lasciare l'auto a circa 150 metri sulla strada. Receptionista che guarda la cartà d'identità come se non avesse mai vista una. Pulizia nelle camere indecente. Pulizia sui tavoli fatta in nostra presenza col tovagliolo usato dall'ospite precedente. Colazione nella norma, abbiamo rinunciato alla seconda dopo aver visto come si puliscono i tavoli. Posate adombrate di impronte peggio di un touch screan. Tre compagnie telefoniche sulle 4 che potevamo verificare non raggiungono la struttura. Idem per il wifi. Esiste ma dura pochi attimi. Acqua calda in condivisione con altri inquilini. Se si alzano prima vi lavate con acqua dei ghiacciai dell'Etna, che è comunque nota positiva, getto molto forte. Docce strettissime ed in pessime condizioni. Disastrous experience. 30 high steps and narrow welcome after having to leave the car about 150 meters on the road. Cleaning in rooms indecent. Cleaning tables made in our presence with the used towel from the previous guest. Breakfast in the standard, we gave up the second after seeing how clean the tables. Cutlery overshadowed fingerprint worse than a touch screan. No telephone no wifi. It exists but takes a few moments. Hot water shared with other tenants. If they get up before you, you must wash with water from the Etna's glaciers.

all in all a great stay

Very nice host, offers special sicilian dinner. The B&B is located in a very beautiful old and cosy town with narrow streets and lots of stairs. A nice walking tour around the sights in town is guided by information tables. The B&B itself is easy to find due to good signs on the main streets. There are lots of free parking spaces around the corner. Its about 30 min by car to the etna and around 10 min to gole alcantara. The rooms are clean and cosy in several small houses around some balconies and terasses. The dining room is as cosy as the rest of the B&B.

Eenvoudige bed en breakfast.

Eenvoudige bed en breakfast waar je als de zon schijnt heerlijk kan vertoeven op een van de balkonnetjes of buiten zitjes. Kamer van ons was heel gehorig, als je op de bovenste verdieping zit heb je hier geen last van. Ontbijt simpel, maar voor Italiaanse begrippen goed. Je kan er dineren, prima maar prijzig voor daar (euro 20 pp inclusief wijn).
Voor de deur parkeren kan idd niet, maar in de buurt is geen probleem. Probeer ook niet voor de deur te komen want dan raak je verstrikt in de vele smalle straatjes van het dorpje. Auto om de omgeving te verkennen is hier geen overbodige luxe. Taormina is aanrader, super gezellig stadje. Ga ook vooral alle kleine, van buiten niets zeggende winkeltjes in, want daar vind je de lekkerste belegde broodjes en zelf gemaakte kazen zoals ricotta. Vanaf het kasteel in Castiglione di Sicilia hebje een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving en de Etna en op donderdag is er een kleine markt van 8.00 tot 13.00 waar de plaatselijke bevolking te vinden is en waar oa vers gebrande pistache nootjes te koop zijn.

Sehr nettes B&B in Castiglione di Sicilia

Die nicht alle in einem Gebäude gelegenen Zimmer des B&B Santa Caterina liegen im Hang, verbunden über Treppen, für Bewegungseingeschränkte nicht geeignet. Der Service ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit (Vielen Dank an Rosario!!!) und das Frühstück reichlich und sehr schmackhaft mit frisch gepresstem Blutorangensaft und leckeren Croissants/selbst gebackenem Kuchen usw. Sensationell war das nach Vereinbarung zubereitete mehrgängige typisch sizilianische Abendessen. Immer frisch mit hiesigen Zutaten. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben das Hotel für 9 Tage gebucht.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Mitten auf einem Berg. Leider sind jedoch sehr viele Häuser leerstehend.

Das Hotel ist sehr urig und schnuckelig. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Das \"Bad\" war sehr winzig. Für große oder kräftige Personen nicht geeignet. In der Dusche (65 cm breit) war innen Schimmel. Wir hatten für einen Tag ein Ersatz-Zimmer. In diesem Zimmer hat in der Dusche sogar ein Teil der Duschtür gefehlt.

Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr ausgiebig (eine Sorte Wurst und eine Sorte Käse). Es gab jedoch jeden Morgen selbstgebackenen Kuchen und Obst oder Obstsalat. Marmelade und Honig waren auch vorhanden.

Der \"Chef\" (wenn er denn der Chef ist) ist meiner Meinung nach nicht sehr an den Gästen interessiert. Lediglich Antonio ist sehr zuvorkommend und bemüht. Die Köchin war auch sehr nett und hat uns abends sogar einen Salat nach Wunsch gemacht.

Ein Auto ist ein Muss.

Un posticino simpatico

La struttura è particolare ed orinale e si sviluppa all'interno di un antico borgo contadino. Valentino, il simpatico prprietario, ha ricavato le camere in quelle che erano le antiche dimore dei contadini mantenendone l'architettura ed arredandole in stile. All'occorenza, spendendo davvero poco, è possibile cenare quello che viene cucinato al momento ( non c'è scelta ma quello che ho assaggiato era davvero buono).
Le note dolenti vengono dalle camere, dove non si eccelle né in pulizia né in comfort, con una nota particolare di demerito per i materassi che nella mia stanza erano davvero molto mal ridotti; appena accettabile il bagno, molto piccolo e con la cabina doccia che perdeva allagando il locale. Anche in questo caso il servizio non è stato impeccabile e neanche gli asciugamani lasciati sul pavimento sono stati sostituiti.
Molto buona la colazione con una bella scelta di prodotti locali (davvero buome le crostate e la macedonia di frutta fresca)

Una finestra sull'Etna

Siamo capitati in questo delizioso Albergo quasi per caso e siamo rimasti piacevolmente soddisfatti sia della locazione sia dell'albergo sia della cena. In posizione strategica per visitare l'Etna, Taormina e le gole di Alcantara. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Unica raccomandazione non entrare con l'auto nello stretto vicolo che porta all'Albergo ma parcheggiare nei pressi del cartello che indica l'Albergo.

En fantastisk uge i en lille bjerglandsby

Vi har haft en uge på Sicilien, som bare var varm og god.
Vi ankom uden bil og (der går kun bus om morgenen og aftenen fra landsbyen) - Valentino skaffede os fluks en bil med chauffør som kørte rundt med, og viste os det virkelige Sicilien. (De kører virkelig spændende dernede)
Prisen blev aftalt inden afgang, så alt var på det rene.
Her er ikke fitness-center og smart underholdning om aften - men gå derimod ned i byen og oplev den rigtige sicilienske stemning.

hôtel sympathique dans un village typique

J'ai passé une semaine dans cet hôtel en mai. J'ai apprécié le charme de cet hôtel qui occupe plusieurs maisons de village. La décoration est rétro, on a l'impression d'être dans une maison de famille. Les petits déjeuner sont excellents, jus d'orange et pâtisseries maisons.
En revanche, la cuisine est assez grasse et il manque une carte pour choisir en connaissance de cause.
l'hôtel est bien situé, quartier calme, pas de circulation. ma chambre étant isolée je n'ai pas eu de problème de bruit.
Cet hôtel n'est pas à recommander aux personnes qui ont du mal à se déplacer car les escaliers sont très nombreux.
le personnel est sympathique et fait des efforts pour comprendre mais il vaut mieux parler anglais.
