So we had to buy coffee from the hotel . Again another un expecting expense . Popcorn 12, beef jerky 12 parking 30 a day . Soft drink 8 . Added. Up fast at checkout .

We’ve been staying here for the past 4 Summers and we love it. So close to the pier and everything Pismo. We love the oceanfron room. We likw that they provide beach towels and chairs for us to use at the beach and bicycles to use around town. Can’t wait to go back next Summer!

It seems they have updated some rooms. I was on the 2nd floor facing the ocean. They have replaced the lounge day chair with a sofa bed. Room was clean, air/heat worked, robes in room, staff was very pleasant.

My husband and I decided to take a quick getaway to Pismo Beach, and we found the perfect hotel right on the water! Our room was oceanfront, so we spent all day relaxing on the balcony right in front of the waves. The location was amazing—right on the boardwalk, just a minute from the pier and all the local restaurants. We truly had a wonderful three-day weekend and will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Sandcastle Hotel in Pismo Beach! The location is unbeatable right on the beach and within walking distance of the pier, restaurants, and shops. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had beautiful ocean views. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire pits and watching the sunset over the water. The breakfast and dining options were great, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing beach getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

The location is why we picked this hotel. We also enjoyed the fire pits at The Deck and up on the third floor patio. However when we were checking in at 4 pm, we were informed that our room was not ready, we had to wait for almost 20 min. The lady in the front desk was not even apologetic about it, and no effort was made for service recovery. It seems like they did not care. The walls were also very thin so we heard kids running around the hallway and in the rooms next to ours.

We were on our honeymoon and had a beach-front room. It was sooooo nice. The one thing we didn't like.....They put a family next door to us with very loud children. The parents then invited over their friends to party. The balconies have lower walls, so as we were trying to enjoy the sound of the waves and relax, we had people drinking and leaning on the balcony wall, while some turned to face us, as we sat. There must have been 10-15 people in their room. The evenings and mornings, we had to contend with the loud kids. I just wish that the neighbors next door had been placed in another area of the hotel, as we had checked in the previous day. The hotel itself is stellar! Right on the beach, close to everything! Great place overall!

The Sandcastle is a beautiful place. The beach is right out the front door and downtown is just a few minutes walk. The rooms and facilities were spotless and comfortable and the staff were exceptional. Our only issue was paying $30/day for parking. They have a parking lot, we paid for the room so we felt like paying extra for parking was unacceptable. Also, if your room is located near the deck and common area, don't expect quiet. It's a bar/gathering place not just for guests but for the public and was quite noisy.

We made a reservation 3 mos. in advance. Arrived at check in and told room not ready. We were put on the 3rd floor with a not very good partial view. We went to get something to eat for dinner and they were on a break. For 1 hour. Tried again a few nights later same outcome. Cable on TV kept going out, unreliable service. We paid for a luxury hotel and it was not that. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I paid for a deluxe balcony and they put me in the furthest room in the back. On top of that1 the sheets looked used with blood stains on one bed. The other bed and pillow smelled completely like BO and again sheets looked used. The screen door on the sliding glass was just sitting on the balcony broken. The front desk was unhelpful. Probably the worse hotel I’ve ever been to and I’ve traveled all over the world.

Barista lady was sweet but night time staff was beyond rude to my wife and children while I was running an errand and they were sitting by the fire. Silver fish bugs in the room and one ran across the counter in the bathroom on my son’s toothbrush. Invited family we were visiting to come eat at the hotel because the patio has a nice view but went to order breakfast at 8:30 am and they were out of toast, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, and all milk and creamer other then regular milk. For someone with dairy allergies, this was beyond frustrating to not be able to order coffee with any kind of creamer. Had all 14 family member that were coming to eat go elsewhere. We ended up leaving hotel early a was told manager would contact me and make an adjustment to room rate but no one ever did. Management can’t figure out how to even order food for the restaurant so I’m not surprised. Wanted to sit by the fire at night but it was over run by a really rough crowd, non of whom were actually staying there. Oh, on top of it, my feet become black from walking on the floor in the bedroom, as if the floor had never been cleaned. So gross! Pay the extra money and stay across the street at Vespera

We stayed in a room off from the main hotel. It was great with a nice view of the beach and the ocean. Lucky it was a beautiful day and the beach is right there. A brief walk to the pier shopping area with restaurants so close by. Bathrooms are good, bed is comfortable as are the pillows. Good fridge in the room. Good price and quality. We have stayed here several times in the past and it has always been good for a fun day.
