This place has the feel of a 5 star resort that once was, years ago. It needs many repairs and a lot of cleaning, but most of all it needs solid leadership to make it a reputable place I would recommend for above average where it could be with simple cleaning and repairs. The dirt and grim are sustained deposits of neglect. Easy repairs exists (like simple door locks) abundantly. The area is profoundly beautiful and a great site to enjoy. The staff we interacted with were respectful and courteous.

Good, large scale, family or tour oriented place.

This is a VERY nice resort. The location on the river is gorgeous. It is a big, crowded place on the weekend. If you don’t want to be around a lot of other people, this isn’t the place for you. If that isn’t an issue, then book now. It seems to be a good place to stay with children too.

Environment was good. Service just ok. Room not so clean. Plug points very limited. No bed side table on both side. On the whole had a good stay.

I recommend this place

We stayed 2 nights here, one in tent and the other in deluxe (which go upgraded to grand deluxe). Nice hotel room and air con tent. Nice surrounding on the bank of River Kwai Yai. Nice food in hotel.

Little Getaway

The wife and I decide to get out of Bangkok and head to Erawan Falls. We did a day trip in Kanchanaburi and in the morning headed to Erawan Fall (30 minutes drive).

We stayed in the tents as we enjoyed the proximity to the River and felt like a little bit of camping... with the normal room amenities.

Overall the property is well kept. Nice landscaping. Large pool to go swimming.

Generally, the only real let down was the Food side of the hotel. The portions were rather small (caesar salad was especially petit). They are using really cheap sausages in the breakfast. Suggestion, do not have the ham sitting in the hot water. This really takes away all of the flavours.

I would give this place another visit. It is a nice getaway into nature and is not super far from Bangkok and the overall grounds are well kept.

If the food was better, definitely would have been a higher rating. Even so, would still recommend staying here.

Nice and Cozy leisure hotel

We staying at Mida Hotel for 1 night in Tent area which included \"shared bathroo\" but their bathroom was very clean and face ti the nature. The tent is so comfortable with tv. and many amenities Unfortunately on the day I was checked in have a group so the staff didnt have much to take care of FIT guest. But overall is fantastic the dinner and breakfast was good.

Problem about number of guest during check-in

When I first booked the room, I booked for 2 guests with 1 extra guest (extra bed). During the check-in, the staff gave me only 2 breakfast vouchers (instead of 3 vouchers). After that, I asked the staff for the voucher. Then, the staff checked her computer before giving me the third voucher.

Good hotel

A great hotel for visiting Erawan National Park. It is still about half an hour from here though to the waterfalls and about the same to Kanchanaburi...so it is literally in the middle of knowhere but a great hotel all the same.

Great staff, very nice, clean, rooms & lovely river views from the balconies on the third floor rooms. Dinner and breakfast buffets were less than spectacular, but were edible. Showers oscillated between hot and cold, but were asthetically pleasing and had nice features. Overall, a great stay for the value.

Nice resort

We spent two nights at this resort after spending 3 nights in kachanaburi town. The staff were always very polite, the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The resort however is very isolated, with no other restaurants or shops within walking distance, so it's not ideal for people that don't have their own transport.

Ideal only if you're after serenity

It's a lovely setting and well maintained for its age and although the decor is very dated it's comfortable enough, except pillows that are like rock's. It's a long way from anything so there's no choice in dining unless you plan on a 45minute drive. The breakfast was mostly inedible except for the omelette. I'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

It was not good. What the hotel advertised was not available. Buffet breakfast not available on 2nd morning. Evening meal on 3rd night had to be taken in my own room as they were closing restaurant at 7pm. Staff were unhelpful. Room did not have phone as advertised and when we arrived no kettle or toiletries.

Was not happy when arrived to check in we didn't get what I thought I had booked. I thought I had booked 2 villas with own pool.but apparently booked deluxe room.i showed them my confirmation with the room description which states \" relax and refresh in own private pool.\" Apparently , Hotels.com needs to fix this as it isn't the resorts fault as I booked and paid for a deluxe room not a villa with own pool even though it states it in my room description.

Room a lot of different from the picture

Hotel is too out of the way from the city , even though we drive there but still doesn't want to go out at night , because is really nothing around the hotel , n is 30 mins drive at least to the city . Luckily the food still ok in the hotel restuarent , so for 2 days stay, we had 1 lunch n 2 dinners there . And for the day tour , we have to pay bht 400 extra in order for the tour agent come and take us from the hotel . Other then that the hotel is by the Kwai river , everything is good beside the room need upgrade badly , the outdoor shower for deluxe room , nobody going to use it , it a waste of time .
This hotel is perfect for the elderly that like quiet n relexing , n you can eat every meal in the restuarent , sit around by the river n nice pool .

So this hotel was really nice, pictures do it justice, but there were two downsides:
1. English is not spoken by most of the staff. This is normally okay, but when we were lost and called the hotel to find out where we were, the receptionist didn't speak English. This also causes big delays when ordering etc.
2. The hotel is quite a bit out of the Center of kanchanaburi. Depending on the purpose of your stay this can be great; but for us it was a bit far out. Check before you book!

Loads of family fun on the river!

This is a SUPER place to stay. You have several choices for rooms including air conditioned tents if wanted. Very decently priced and super staff! Location was beautiful and it sits along a beautiful river bank. highly recommend the experience!

Beautiful location by the river

We stayed in a pool villa room whitch gave us the luxury of our own private pool. Beautiful garden and location by the river. Friendly staff and OK restaurant. The location is a little remote so bring your own car or driver. The staff took us on a beautiful boattrip. Warning: do not go to the tigertemple!! It is a huge touristtrap.

Zeer mooi maar kan hier en daar wat liefde gebruiken. Als alles eens mooi ondrr handen wordt genomen is dit een topper.
Zeer vriendelijk personeel... ruim en goed ontbijt... leuke zwembaden... wel handig als je eigen wagen hebt want er is niks dichtbij

Très bel endroit mais établissement mal entretenu

L’endroit est super chouette et le resort dispose de nombreux atouts mais malheureusement l’établissement est vieillissant et très mal entretenu :
- nombreux espaces en travaux, mais qui ne semblent pourtant pas avancer d’un poil comme la terrasse de la piscine dont les lames du platelage qui se décrochent à plein d’endroits (ce qui rend même le lieu un peu dangereux) ou comme la terrasse sur pilotis pour diner sur l’eau qui n’était pas accessible lors de notre passage (dommage, on venait aussi pour ça)
- nombreux revêtements dégradés dans les chambres comme sur les meubles (stratifié éclaté et taché à de nombreux endroits), les murs (peintures fissurées et sales)
Dommage car les chambres sont grandes et très belles, la piscine principale très grande et ouverte sur un très beau paysage.
