Excellent hotel but with some issues

Overall we really liked this hotel. Its location is perfect - in a quiet area right on the river, with beautiful views. There are some good restaurants in and near the hotel but you do need transportation to get to the night market or to other central areas of town. The service was excellent, but there were a few issues that made our stay less-than-perfect: WiFi in the room was not stable, with slow connection and frequent disconnections. The shower often ran out of hot water, so you had to wait for a minute or two before continuing. And the bed was very squeaky, waking you up with every slight move in bed.

A very special place

From the moment we arrived at U Inchantree hotel until the moment we left, we were looked after in the most hospitable manner. The Staff all had the most beautiful smiles. The hotel sits beside the River Kwai where you will witness spectacular sunsets. We were so glad we chose this hotel for our visit to Kanchanaburi.

The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to Bridge Over River Kwai and conveniently 10 minutes walk to Guan Lin Temple, just on the other side of the Bridge. For sunset lovers, this hotel has the best spot to see the sunsets, absolutely amazing. The room was nice and spacious and the staff were wonderful. The hotel restaurant could use some improvements as the food was okay. Since the area does not have any decent restaurants, the hotel restaurant should look into ways to improve. However, we would stay here if we return to Kanchanaburi.

Food and restaurant was excellent. Rooms were really nice although some might find them a little on the small side but convenience and sunset views can't be beaten.

Nice and relaxing stay. The rooms are small but it has anything you need and it is clean. Free parking at the hotel, the gym is small but it does the job and the pool is good as well. The breakfast is really good! 6 minutes Walking distance from the River Kwai Bridge. Only feedback I have was that the water in the shower is either steaming hot or super cold and the AC fan would not change to the lower mode. Overall great stay and amazing service of staff!

This property is conveniently located less than 8 minutes walk from the River Khwae Bridge. We were able to see and walk the bridge during the day and at night.
Entire staff at the hotel has been very welcoming during our entire stay.
Breakfast buffet has a wide range of choices of local and western cuisines, we thought it is better some of the 5 star hotels in Bangkok in terms of tastes and presentation.
Highly recommend this property to people visiting the Kanchanaburi area.

River Kwai marvel.

With an amazing location, minutes from the “River Kwai” station, on the high bank of the river, this hotel has been built to respect some ancient trees and with careful attention to feng shui throughout. In addition the food was excellent and the wine list showed a good appreciation, although most of the reds should be cellared for a few more years. Overall, a tremendous stay and there is much more to see and to do in and around Kanchanaburi than we realized, so we’ll be back.

Oh this property is a gem. Really beautiful view of the river (not from the rooms) but from the front of the property. We share breakfast spot from a fancy hotel. It is so nice. I love the quietness of the hotel. An interesting town all and all too with the bridge and the memorial. I highly recommend this hotel and at such as good price too.

We had a lovely welcome when we got to the hotel and an easy and quick check in. Rooms were fantastic, very clean and lots of little extras! The price of the hotel was very reasonable for the standard of the rooms and bathrooms.Staff were exceptional and so friendly. The hotel is at an excellent location for visiting the Bridge Over the River Kwai which you can see from the hotel. The view of the sunset can also be seen whilst enjoying dinner. The hotel has a small gym and a small pool, enough to dip in but not really suitable for swiming. We only stayed here one night but wish we had booked longer as it was lovely and quiet, a complete constrast and welcome from Bangkok.

I loved everything about this property. The staff was amazing. Front desk was very helpful and the restaurant staff was over the top kind. I hugged all the girls leaving. There was nothing I didn’t love. The setting is perfect along the river. It’s peaceful and beautiful with tons of things to do. We went exploring during the day and then when we couldn’t take the heat anymore went and sat by the pool over looking the river.

Location - excellent, just 5 minutes walk to the Attractions like River Kwai bridge, train station, museum etc.

Room - feels more like a chalet than a hotel room. Restrictive space and toilet is rather small. Comes with a balcony (nice) but lots of mosquitoes so unbearable to step out

A great location for the sunset, to see the bridge and for a bit of relaxation but a long way from any other bars/ restaurants. We ate in the restaurant two nights and the food was good although very limited vegetarian options. The breakfast buffet was a highlight for us, such a variety of stuff and all tasted great. The pool was very relaxing although could have done with a few more sunbeds. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were more than happy to organise taxis, trips etc although the hotel prices were very expensive in comparison to the street prices. The room was lovely, had everything we needed and good AC and storage for luggage.

Location Location Location, top marks for this, had a lovely view onto the river, downsides are small rooms, small pool, weak cocktails, plus points you get a full 24 hours with your booking. So check in at 7pm and get a full day the next day if you need it. We didn’t eat there as there was a wedding going on and didn’t like to pry into the lovely day. Overall a great stay x

U Inchantree Kanchanaburi is within 300 meters of the Bridge and easy taxi distance to anywhere in town. The restaurant and staff are outstanding. There are local restaurants in walking distance. The prices at the hotel are very good. Local tours are available. The young man arranged by who drove me to Erawan Falls and Hellfire Pass is a very very safe a conscientious driver. I did the Thai Massage and Tee, the woman who performed the massage, gave me one of the most restful experiences and sleeps I have had in months. It was 720 Baht after discount for the two hour massage. That is around US$23. I left a generous tip. The small infinity pool is very comfortably half shaded and half sunny. The hotel is a perfect setting and a young Thai couple had the wedding ceremony there on my last day. I spent three nights.
I would absolutely come back and stay at this hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

This is a lovely hotel on the banks of the river and within easy walking distance of the River Kwai railway station. We opted for a deluxe room and weren't disappointed. The room was large and very well provisioned with a tea/coffee/snack counter and stools making it seem more like an apartment than a room. The breakfast was excellent with a wide a selection of choices. We particularly liked the complimentary use of hotel bicycles and used them to visit the Cemetery at Kanchanaburi (use the back road rather than the main roads).

This hotel is truly an oasis. You feel relaxed as soon as you enter the grounds. The staff do their best to meet all your needs, checking if you have enough water, if you are happy with the service, etc. Another great service are the free bikes to use in town. It makes it so easy to explore the area. We would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet, but also interesting get away.

The cheapest rooms are very small but have everything you need and are fine for a 2 or 3 night stay. If staying longer I would recommend upgrading to the newer and larger rooms.
The hotel gardens and pool area are beautiful and feels very peaceful and relaxing. Only a few sun loungers but the area never felt crowded. The restaurant had a brilliant buffet breakfast. We also ate here for dinner one evening and although more expensive than the local restaurants the food was lovely. Located within a couple minutes walk to the bridge but slightly outside the town, about a half hour walk, but taxis available near the bridge. Would recommend this hotel whilst staying in Kanchanaburi.

The music needs to be changed.

The resort is nice with a nice view of the river. But the room is too small. There was no desk in the room. The shower did not work well, no pressure and water at all if someone else in other room are showering or using the water at the sink. The music is the most terrible thing. They don't know which music is suitable for the atmosphere at the deck and the restaurant. I guess the staff just played whatever music they like, sometimes it was hip hop and rap sometimes it was some young modern music for teenagers which ruined the whole atmosphere because it was so annoying and distracting. I and my husband could not read books with that terrible music, so we had to leave the deck.
