Lots of very sharp stone around edges. No easy disabled access to the pool and if you slipped getting in or out you could really damage yourself badly. Silly design

Great location. The room was clean and spacious and looked out on to the river. Very peaceful.
However, for guests who wanted to lie by the pool, there are simply not enough beds. There was a whole terrace that lay empty apart from two beds and two chairs. I counted only nine beds in front of the pool. Clearly not enough.
Otherwise, can’t fault the hotel or its staff. Great place to stay.

Staff were excellent. The whole hotel was very very clean.pool was very relaxing and the room view over the river was great.
The only diwnside for us when we were trying to relax by the pool an old american man kept talking very loudly for almost an hour so we just gave up relaxing and decided yo go out instead. We came to find out that this man was not even a guest at the hotel which might raise some safety concerns for some.
One night we were very tired and had dinner by ourselves at the hotel restaurant and the food was fabulous and the staff were extremely welcoming.
Overall we would love to return as we love Kanchanaburi and really enjoyed the hotel.

I like the hotel. The location is excellent. We had a room with a river view and it offered a stunning outlook. Breakfast is lovely. The pool is very nice, and the grounds are green and well-kept. The only issue that bothered us was the uncontrolled air conditioner in the room. A bit more light in the room would be welcome. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for 4 nights in a Jacuzzi Riverfront Scenical room. Friendly and efficient check in. Room was a good size with great views from the balcony. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the food/drinks we had at restaurant in the hotel. Nice pool area to relax at. Lots of really good restaurants nearby. The Bridge is about 5minutes drive from the hotel.
Really enjoyed our stay there - peaceful, relaxing few days. Would definitely stay there again.

Lower quality than expected

River view is a lovely serene setting. Pool is a social setting. But everything else was rough around the edges. Walls and furniture are dirty/scuffed. Lobby is not a comfy hangout space it appears in photos. Some staff where more helpful than others. It was ok for a couple days. The price didnt match the quality in Thailand, but small changes could fix it.

We had a nice room with a great view, comfortable bedding and a spacious bathroom.The simple buffet breakfast at the Railway Restaurant was good. We didn't see any bar so assuming it was in the restaurant and according to Reception only operational during the day. Also if you wanted dinner you had until 5.30pm to place your order as it was room service only, the restaurant did not open. The slippers in your room are used so if you want to use them I suggest socks. There are no cable TV channels for English speaking only the French and DTW news. Room service is hit and miss with coffee and tea so you will need to ask Reception for teabags, sugar, etc. Most importantly there is a long laminated list in your room on every item and what you will pay if you damage, break or take. Consider it a souvenir they say.

Fabulous hotel with wonderful views of the river and a great pool. Convenient parking and walkable bars and restaurants made this a great location. Easy to reach all the sites nearby but few like when you entered the hotel grounds you were separate. We had jacuzzi baths overlooking the river and they were amazing! Gorgeous bathroom and a great breakfast although make sure they know you are a vegetarian beforehand. If you are staying in the area this hotel is a must stay!

Externally looks good and nice. The staff are respectful. The room is not as nice as it looks in the pictures; feels quite old and unclean. jacuzzi worked well. There was a cockroach in the room which the staff used insecticide to kill but refused to change the room even though there was one available albeit the pool view (higher grade). Pool is too small. Breakfast had quite a few options which was nice. Overall, could have been better.

Definitely the best accommodations in town for a reasonable price. It’s not the closest hotel to the Bridge on the River Kwai, but is located in the center of the towns restaurants and and bars. All the rooms have views of the river, and the beautiful lotus flowers along the shore. The only thing I could find negative was the 500 baht charge for losing one of my hotel room key cards.

Fantastic hotel. Close by to anything you want to do in Kanchanaburi. Very clean, professional and friendly staff, great breakfast. The hotel itself is beautiful and has very comfortable beds. My only complaint is that they only have 6 poolside patio chairs. Each time we wanted to use them they were full and always seemed to be the same guests. The hotel has a large terrace space on the other half of the pool that was mostly empty except for two sets of tables and upright chairs. This space would be perfect to add more reclining poolside patio chairs, which hopefully they will do.
On our way to the hotel, we got a little lost (walking from the train station) and a Thai shop owner came out to help us. When we said the hotel name, her face lit up and said \"oooh, VIP!\". From all that we saw, by appearances the Natee seemed to be the nicest hotel in the area. It was a great price for all that we got! Highly recommend.

New Hotel so the condition is still good. HOWEVER the finishing is very cheaply done.. the bathrooms are only painted..no tiles .. the paint is starting to yellow in places and chip off too. I was excited to get out of Bangkok and go to the countryside. Kananchaburi has a rich history and Erawan Falls. It also has tons of fat old men, mostly Australians, with young Thai women, treating them like commodities, with their mates. It made me want to puke.

Natee was a beautiful hotel, with great rooms and a good breakfast, but the most unfriendly front desk staff I have seen in Thailand. If the woman at the front desk smiled, her face would crack. The other just kept shooing me from the desk, telling me to take a seat. They spent most of their time on the computer, and if I asked a question, I felt like I was disturbing them. After having the friendliest and most accommodating staff in Bangkok, this cold and unfriendly treatment was surprising. No one smiled at my sawadee and no one smiled at my kup kun ka, which everyone else in Thailand appreciated and I practiced and used. Stay here for the room, the pool, the location on the river. Just don't expect friendly or accommodating service from the staff.

The pool was beautiful (if chilly). The breakfast was delicious and it was nifty that the restaurant had a running model train around the ceiling. The jacuzzi was really nice, except the tub could not produce enough hot/warm water to fill the tub. It only got about 1/2 full before all warm water ran out. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious enough to promote a relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel is simply one of the most charming properties I’ve ever seen. The lobby is simple, an open air indoor/outdoor living room. The gracious reception staff acted as concierges and arranged an excursion for us.
The pool side room was ut appointed with a jacuzzi tub overlooking the river Kwai. The gym is a small well equipped work out area also boasting a tranquil view and the buffet breakfast along the river with its indoor and outdoor seating is a beautiful way to start your day,

Nice pool though limited area around pool. The garden is nice and plenty of dining and drinking space. Didn't eat or drink there though. The happy hour promotions were astronomical. 250 baht for 2 beers. Just outside the door you could get the same for half price. The rooms were nice though missing hooks and hangers - feel a little incomplete. Beds nice and huge tv though only news - no English Channels so not worth it really. Majority of guests seemed to be foreign. Staff were very professional and worked hard to make your stay worthwhile. A bit pricey for the area (next door is 6 times cheaper) but you get what you pay for.

Fantastic hotel

Nature Riverside is a fairly new hotel in what I believe is an older building. Located slap bang in the centre of the pubs and restaurants and overlooking the river. Staff are excellent, food is excellent and rooms were amazing - even having a soft comfortable bed! There is a complimentary mini bar with water, soft drinks and snacks along with tea/coffee making facilities.
It’s about 2km from the Kwai Bridge (and tourists!) but only half that to the railway station, death railway museum and war graves. Whilst there we used the services of Good Times travel on the Main Street nearby. They organised a private tour to the Hellfire Pass etc at a good price as well as our onward travel. Very nice, helpful and reliable

This is a new hotel in the area.
It has an excellent view across the river with a first class swimming pool and terrace.
The jacuzzi and shower were very good and the bed was the most comfortable I have stayed in.
As a new hotel it was extremely quite. I think there were only 3 rooms occupied when I was there.
It was a little bit expensive for the area, but I think the quality of the hotel and the facilities justified the extra money.
The staff were very helpful and polite
I would certainly stay there again.

Die Zimmer sind nicht sauber und sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Überall Abplatzungen, sehr viel Kalk und Schmutz an den Armaturen. Das Holz im Zimmer abgescheuert, der Boden sehr fleckig und die Whirlpooldüsen teilweise defekt und schmutzig. Die Scheiben seit langem nicht geputzt.
