Freezer was frosted up , they did fix before our return.
Room stunk think it could have been the bathroom, they did sort it after I complained.
Hotel is getting old but in good location.
Back pool is meant to be closed by 7 pm at 11pm people drink and screaming in pool , took to calls to have it resolved.
Second last day room wasn’t cleaned and when I called for water 2 x free they brought straight to my room .
Next day on checkout they said I had a bill for water , I explained that we hadn’t used the fridge water and I was told that I had called and had water taken to my room .
I explained again and was still told I had to pay.
In future will spend few more dollars and stay in newer hotel up the road .

This hotel is old and dirty,badly needing a bulldoze or upgrade.you have to be a mountain goat to get to the second level rooms which the stairs are very steep and dangerous.Bathrooms are old and dirty looking .Even the breakfast is just as old.Sorry but could never stay here again.

Good experience. Liked the place and the staff. Good reception. Good and variety breakfast. Helpful room service. Daily room cleaning. Because TV in my room was not working, I was shifted to an upgraded room. Towels, toiletries provided. I extended my stay for two more days.

Gave us Single bed rooms instead of double beds (told us reason is there were fully booked)
Room were freezing (aircon set low)
Shower not working, black substance coming out
Moved us to another room (double bed weirdly)

We Managed

It's a party hotel, and we aren't partiers. That being said we able to get a room in a quiet corner, so it was not too bad. The service and breakfast were inconsistent, sometimes good sometimes not as good. If you're looking for relaxing pool-time, probably not the place for you. The music was so loud at both pools, we didn't even bother sitting by the pool, which was disappointing. The location is good and the property is pretty. I would not recommend this hotel for families.

The communication between the staff is horrible. Upon checking in we asked the front desk to confirm about our transportation to the airport and they said yes, we had transportation set up. Once it was time to check out the “manager” who was on duty said otherwise. They did not accommodate for their mistake and we still had to pay to get to airport. It was very inconvenient and left a horrible impression for us.

Horrible hotel

I’ve have stayed all around the world. Never have I stayed in a place like this.

1. While checking in I asked for ice water at the bar because I was thirsty. They refused and said I had to buy it. They said they don’t give out water.

2. The water pipes were making a massively loud noise starting at 5:54 am. Woke me. I called front desk and they said they were “killing mosquitos” which didn’t make any sense.
Upon calling 3 more times because the sound was so loud, they had an engineer come and fix it.

3. The water in the shower and sink smelled and tasted so disgusting it would even make your skin smell

4 the “buffet” was the worst I’ve ever had. Cold food, disgusting. As if they just stopped trying.

Only good part is the Staff. They are nice but don’t have much to work with.

The place is dead.
Nothing like is advertised.

For the price you can find MUCH better hotels down the street.

Arrived at 5pm but my room wasn't ready. Got in to my room at 6pm only to find they had given me a twin instead of a double. They didn't tell me when I booked in, just waited for me to find out myself. I rang reception and they said they didn't have any doubles. They said staff would come to my room to 'fix' it. Two hours later no staff had been to my room so I rang again. Same response. Half an hour later two staff come in and push the single beds together. I was assuming they would put an overlay over the top and king size sheets (as I have encountered in several other hotels) but no, just two beds of different heights next to each other. I though it was a joke. I rang reception and said if they couldn't provide me with a double then I wanted a refund and would book somewhere else. I was told they would sort it out within an hour. A bit after an hour I rang again and they said staff would take me to a different room. Finally I got a double! It was a slightly better room which I think is why they messed me around for 4.5hrs rather than just upgrading me immediately when they realised they had given my room to someone else. The next morning the WiFi was not working the whole morning. The first time I called someone came to reset the router but it didn't fix the problem. Half an hour later I called again and they said they would send him again but I did not hear anything else and checked out. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!

The bathroom was full of mould and rotted wood doorway. The whole room stunk of mould. It's a party hotel for young people so lots of loud music and drunk people all hours of the night. Staff were great. It is an experience.

Even though the best party spot in kuta(so they believe), really nice music for night time...

Tried to have one beef burger from the menu, all the sidings are nice but the patty has no taste at all and over cooked.

Overall stay really good, nice patio and view(I got locked outside without clothes), so do be careful not to let the door close behind you.

Very nice and fresh linen, but small bathroom!

And lastly, 120000 for breakfast I thought is a little bit overpriced for the quality and quantity you get!

Would definitely return only for the parties

Booking in at 10.am finally got room 7.30 pm,first room very musty and moldy and paint peeling off and dirty.Staff managed to up grade us from standard to deluxe eventually.Linen smelt musty and sheets yellow,bathroom needed a good clean.Toilet had never seen bleach.cockroaches in cupboard.Main swimming pool out for 2 days.Old fashioned TV and fridge in room which looked worn out.Very noisey Friday night till 3.am.Unfortunately had booked for 5 nights and left after the first night no refund.Hotel did give us a voucher for 200 irp approx $20.00 nz and an invite to lunch with manager.Photos of rooms misleading.The hotel is rundown and disappointing and the rooms were very dark with poor lighting.More suitable to students who enjoy partying.Aircon units are very rusty and at the end of their life.Broken tiles on the roof of the buildings.

They have 50 years old TV - no HDTV. No Electric Kettle and Tea/Coffee in the room. The SINK got clogged and service had to be done. The stairs to 2nd floor are dangerous. They should increase the number of steps in the ladder by expanding every one step to two steps.During the rain person can slip and fall.

It has its good and bad.
Good place to chill and meet. Staff were friendly.
When checking in the hotel management needs to tell everything, such as bar tab limits, and other things. If you get locked out of your room that’s why, saw a poor fella get upset and cranky. Cause the little things they didnt tell you when you checked in. More detailed communication is a must to improve on. everyone wants to go home happy with good experience. Not fusterated.

hotel is located close to beach, shopping centre and nightlife. thats about the extent of the perks. everything at the hotel is ridiculously expensive compared to anywhere else, drinks are watered down and god knows what was in the bottles they were letting people drink out of at the friday night party(i didn't witness this, just the people i was travelling with). on the first day, we needed to call the get the toilet fixed on 3 different occasions until they finally fixed the problem. gaps in the doors let mozzies in. the back pool plays the same 20 songs on repeat and after 2 days it was awful. I became ill on the second night and had to BEG for water because i was too sick to leave the hotel room, after 3 calls I was finally given two small bottles. i purchased a ticket to the friday night party but as I was too sick to attend they basically got $50AUD for nothing from me because they refused to refund or even credit some of the amount back to the room. they refill the minibar sporadically but dont show you what they replace or the bill so you get charged for things you didn't even consume. parts of the grout in both pools have come away and without maintenance it has left sharp edges everywhere that slice quite deeply. i ended up checking out on the tuesday when i was supposed to stay until friday. after that the taxi to the airport suddenly went from being $15AUD to $25 and they couldn't even be bothered helping me with my bags even though i was so sick.

From the start Bounty disappointed. Took an hour to check in because staff didn't know what they were doing. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor. Every step goog up to the room felt like they were going to fall apart, not to meantion the massive gap between the steps.
The room was alright if you didn't think about the roof falling apart, parts of the roof ending up on your bed every night & the aircon not working.....
Breakfast was again a disappointment, everything was well over cooked.
The pool seemed like there was more chlorine than water. I will not be staying again & would recommend you find somewhere else to stay!
Oh & the 'amazing parties' they have there........ 10 people turned up. Was over by 10pm.

This is not a \"party\" hotel. So boring, the footage of the so-called Pool parties are from years ago.
There is no \"music blasting\" all hours of the night. I wish there was.
Food, drinks, rooms are expensive for the area.
Service is poor, staff are tired and security check you for alcohol and constantly ask where have you been.
I am a party animal and this did not live up to its reputation. If you are coming for fun, go elsewhere.

You definitely get what you pay for, was great saving money on accommodation but don't look too closely at walls, floors, sheets! Worth getting a room at the back of the place as loud music around the main pool would be annoying if trying to sleep. Our room neighbours often came in at 3am and we could hear everything through the walls. Best suited to young people who love to party or are very heavy sleepers!

Great hotel this is the 2nd time we have stayed at the bounty. It is in a great location. If you want to sleep at night ask to stay down the back of the hotel. As the front pool bar does party all night. I would stay at the bounty again. It is colder hotel, but its clean and the air conditioning works well.

Went for a bucks party. Drink prices are ridiculous for what you get (cheapest of cheap spirits). Drink prices were more expensive than that of the more upper class club Potato Head in Seminyak!

Breakfast/dinner was average.

Definitely reccomend the Friday night party for $50AU all you can drink/eat.

Good for young people looking to party all night.

Right in the heart of Kuta markets and about 5 minutes walk from Kuta beach strip.

You pay for what you get.

Stayed here twice for closeness to everything but never again. The security are good but some of the male staff are constantly trying to get money for nothing and changing the rules whenever it suits them. They need to understand the concept of people being able to talk to one another without screaming over the music and they need a new chef asap,along with non slip tiles.

I found the hotel to be in a great location in Kuta - near to the beach and easy access to the main party street of Kuta. The hotel has a reputation of being a party hotel but was pretty empty when I stayed there. The rooms are average and you are getting what you pay for. The room was a little dated but again for the rate I paid I was not expecting much. They have a party on Friday nights which was unimpressive. They had maybe 8-10 attendees and were playing the music as loud as can be until 1am. The lights in my room, which was far back near the second pool, would flicker because the strain on the power caused by the music speakers.

My only complaint is that this is very much a party hotel with loud music playing most of the day. We came back from diving and wanted to take a nap and our room was literally shaking from the blasting music by the pool. I understand some people are looking for a party in Kuta, if so this place is perfect.

Stayed at the Bounty with 9 other mates for our end of season footy trip and had an absolute ball. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel is close to the clubbing action and the pool bar can get wild at times. I had a room out by the 2nd pool so much quieter than on the other side

A party hotel perfect for young ones

My husband and I booked into The Bounty just for a couple of nights to start off our Bali vacation. We knew it was right in the heart of Kuta, it was cheap, and was a great stop off to shop before we headed to Ubud and on to Jimbaran Bay. This was our fifth trip to Bali and the first time away without kids (who are now young adults). It lived up to its reputation as the party hotel but we were not effected by the pumping house music at all (we asked for a room right down the back at the second pool). The staff were very friendly and really made a stay for the two nights a lot of fun. We actually loved hanging out at the sit-up bar as much as the young ones. Ideal for one or two nights if you are an older couple (50 !!) and want to shop.

A hotel that plays club music with the bass blaring so loud your window shudders constantly between 10am and 4/5am. The hotel would be perfect if you were between the ages of 16 and 21 and wanting to be absolutely sloshed constantly.
We had wifi for maybe 5 minutes a day and it most definitely didn't work inside our hotel room.
you can easily find a nicer hotel in a similar location for the same price.

Hotel staff ruined the whole experience over there first of all i made a double reservation under my name so when we checked in had so many dramas on which room was which because the other room had to stay an extra night , so come checkout they didn't understand we had another room with an extra night so they kept trying to check out my room. so it took a long time in the morning to check out , we stayed a bit longer during the day at the hotel then when we were leaving they took 15 minutes of our time because they didn't believe we checked out so we had already checked out and had to check out again was really annoying would never stay at this hotel again

Party with a relaxing atmospere

We were told that the hotel could get noisy, so we asked the reception to give a room at the back. On arrival we heard music by the pool, the reception was good we checked is and once at the room, we couldn’t hear any noise, the pool was always lively, food was decent and the bar was always busy.
The room had a few problems, the toilet didn’t flush the first day, the Air con leaked on the second day but the response was fast and they fixed everything as they broke.
The hotel is on Poppie ii which you have to take to get to the clubbing area, it’s a dark alley most times there are many people there so shouldn’t be any issue but there are some dark spots you need to avoid and my pickpockets. On the other side the beach is nearby.
Overall the stay was exactly how we wanted, so will definitely come back here

Good party hotel. If you don't like loud music most of the day, then make sure you don't get room near the main pool, didn't bother me. Checking in and out quite slow. Need to be in lobby on main pool for Wifi, but overall well priced and well located to beach, markets and night life.

Full hotel review

My stay at the bounty was very enjoyable, the room was big and nice, bed wasn't to comfy.. And the aircon leaked, asked front desk to fix it but never did. Couldn't connect to wifi in room, if we could nothing would really load. Room service and clean up was great! Breaky was always nice! The pool and pool bar never disappoints! Except it does need to get a few more play lists :p the dj was always banging out the tunes in the after noon tho so wasn't to much of a worry! Over all was a great stay and would come back in the near future

Old hotel complex starting to show its age.

Great staff, old hotel starting to show its age. Clean enough, more for younger Aussies with a focus on irresponsible serving of alcohol especially on Fridays with a \"all you can drink and eat party. WiFi network is terrible from rooms but OK at bar and reception. 2 pools both clean and great bar service. Hotel food is really good also.

Great place

This is a place for the young or the young at heart. I cannot commend the staff working their highly enough they where amazing and so friendly. My next trip to Bali I will definitely stay their again.

Awsome place to have a swim and a drink, rooms were good for price, and the included breakfast was great, staff would do anything for you, I would call it a young Australians dream because everyone seemed to be from australia, it was family friendly by morning and party friendly all night long

Pretty much get what you pay for can't complain for the price we paid good for young groups travelling together pool open 24 hours good location just old and pool is to warm and chlorine is way to strong burns ur eyes.

Used to be ok. Checked out two days early

I used to stay here a lot, but in the last five years it's gone down hill fast. Dirty rooms, dirty pools, rotten carpet in the restaurant.

Do NOT stay here! It's not even that cheap when you compare how bad it is.

Do not stay here!

This hotel is horrible! Coakroaches in the closet, hotel construction all night long while we were trying to sleep, and the staff is terrible. The front desk insisted that we leave our passports as a deposit on the room (super shady) and then when we tried to check out they had made up charges on the room from the mini fridge. This hotel deals with tons of people partying hard which in turn makes them treat you like you're a criminal. Find a better hotel than this, the security and staff will hustle you for any amount of money they can get.

Worth checking out in the heart of Kuta

The hotel staff were more than amazing and help cater towards any demands I had. I wish the bell boy did help me with my bag up 3 flight of stairs. The food was good, the 2nd pool was nice because it was much more quieter, and having a pool bar was a great feature. The issues I had, and I am only saying this because I am a solo traveler, I wish it had a more social setting were travelers can meet each other. Everyone was in their own social groups and it would be awkward to mingle in this them. It is referred to as a party hotel but it seemed very tamed during the weekday. I never stayed for the Friday night pool party (which is a shame because it sounds amazing!) but during the weekday, nothing seemed to happen around the pool. It still would recommend this hotel only if you are traveling with friends. Staying here solo can be a let down.

This would be a good hotel if you are single in a large group and just want to drink and party and have sex. If you are after a bit more of a cultural holiday with a loved one, i wouldnt recommend this hotel for that

would of had more comfort staying in a hay barn or a horse shed the pool is like swimming in a Troff. System was always down so couldn't order food bed had ciggie burns all through it.always getting harassed by the staff for spare ciggies and loose change.party music stops at 10pm but starts up about 8 am couldn't hear myself think. Always got asked by security where I was going which was more then enoying. They didn't sell the beer I drank but I was lucky in the fact that Burger King was close.my hot breakfast was always cold room service took 2 hours so I left turned back up and it was sitting on the floor with ants all through it. Pillows where to hard beds weren't comfy but hay at least I didn't go homeless..cheers guys enjoy this place like I did 😃
