We got the suite the first one we could not open the door so switched is room few thing wer not up to par the light and plug closest to window was not working the tv was very grainy we could not watch it! And the comforter had spots on it several the bed sheet also .
The room look spacious but I think it may not have been cleaned . Toilet was fithy as well! Very disappointed for price of the room !

Well when we first got to our room it was freezing cold. This room had a fireplace which I did not ask for and it was very dirty. Looking around the room I found mouse droppings on the carpet in multiple areas. I went toward the coffee machine and there was an incredible amount of mouse droppings. I called the front desk immediately and they changed my room. My second room was better but still disgusted by the first room I jusy wanted to leave.

First room was not the type of room that was booked. Which was not a huge deal but the room had no heat. They switched us rooms to a room where the bed had not been made from the previous stay. Kitchen not working…. Due to no heat. Left and went elsewhere.

It’s ashamed that this hotel is not up kept because it is conveniently located. The hotel bathroom was so gross with black mildew all the way around. The bottles of soap, shampoo etc. are too small for a couple to share. The tv had the worst selection of channels I have ever encountered. Thankfully we had our laptop to watch netflix. The biggest problem was the door to the balcony. It did not lock. There was so sort of weird stick holding it closed but the latch did not work. My room was at the back by the pool and it didn’t feel safe. This hotel should not be even close to $100+ for the night if it not going to be cleaned and renovated.

Room was freezing (42 degrees), heater had not been turrned on. After 2.5 hours, the temperature was up to 58 degrees. Was switched rooms immediately to a nice suite (although run down). Property is very unkempt , debris from walls on floor, needs a lot of uodates / repairs. Have been here three years ina row despite the kess then favourabke conditions but it keeps getting worse.

They should let you know - that you may not be alone in your room! My sister, my niece and I each had our experience while we stayed one night- I mentioned it to front desk at check-out, and they were like “ Oh yeah we have a ghost on 1st floor… I was like well it’s moving about the Hotel as it was in our room last night! She then went on to state that they have psychic fairs there and they request these rooms!
THAT INFORMATION WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL UPON BOOKING!!!!

We read the reviews and expected the rooms and main areas to be a little run down. Our check in was quick and the person was friendly. We were told to drive around back to park and use that door to enter closer to our room. We noticed that the door was broken and didn't lock but we ignored it and continued to our room. The room was clean and furniture was decent. We heard outside noise and loud voices and wonder why it sounded like they were in our room. When we looked out the sliding door to the balcony we noticed that handle and locking mechanism were missing completely and someone shoved a facecloth in the 6 inch hole to block out the cold. The door still opened when pushed on so it didn't make use feel super safe. But since we were staying on the 3rd floor we figured the balcony wasn't easily accesisible so we should be okay. The breakfast choices were either toast or cereal with watered down juice. Checkout was easy as it was done online. I wouldn't recommend staying here again until they renovate or at least fix the safety issues.

That sounded like rude. But the price is high and provided cheap service. For breakfast, it’s just milk and bread. They should remove continental from breakfast. Worst experience.

We got a suite with a jet tub but it tub was not cleaned well, it was slimy when getting in. There were bugs in the ice bucket, the bed was very uncomfortable and there were cigarette butts in the ashtray when we arrived. I would however stay again but in the summer next time since there is no indoor pool which was disappointing

Bed was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, toast, bananas , apples, cereal, coffee, yogurt. We heated our eggs in microwave and that was awesome.
We parked around back that seemed sketchy. Lights were burned out in parking lot. It is like an old state of the art place run into the ground and now someone is attempting to revive it. Great price but I would not stay again. I was uncomfortable with the darkness of the entryways.

The building is a bit out of date and needs work in alot of places. First impression when I got to the hotel was not too good, the steps leading to the front entrance are cracked with pieces of cement coming off and in need of a good paint job. The handicap entrance is quite a distance away from the main lobby entrance.
The room was a good size but dark, very few lights and was hard to work at the desk. The bathroom was fairly clean but was not cleaned well after a recent ceiling repair over the shower. Still paint stains on the floor and wall.
The free breakfast should not even be called a breakfast, more like a snack. Nothing warm other than the toast you prepare. No jam for the toast but they did have peanut butter but one of the packets I had tasted very stale. The juices were very diluted with very little flavor. The hot beverage selection was coffee, never noticed hot water for tea or a decaf selection.
The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful.
I may stay here again but the price would have to drop considerably.

Staff was very appauligetic for condions beyond there control and went out of there waay to help us. No handicap access available to use for entry. Went for breakfast 45 min. Before it was to end and there was nothing there..was told they would not be replentishing any more today to try again tomorrow. Bathroom was moldy and romm in general was outdated but clean. No pool etc open all in disrepair. The restaurant was closed down for probably the same reason.

We had to switch rooms when we arrived there was a wet dog smell in the room. We moved to another room, the headboard was detached from the wall. The bathroom sink had shaving stubble in it. The room phone was covered in dust. The last night we had to turn on the heat only to shut it off an hour later with a smell of burning electrical. Stay away from free breakfast, yogurt was sour, nothing is was kept cool, a block of cream cheese was sitting in a bowl for everyone to share, they are very limited on items. To say the least we will not be returning

Friendly at check-in. Entrance is rough and needs maintenance and a refresh. Rooms are dated. Bathroom tiles were cracked and chips of tile were in the corner by the tub, likely for a long time. Leads one to wonder if the floors were cleaned. Plumbing was loud and the toilet ran steadily. Beds were fairly hard but clean.

Continental breakfast has limited choices and there is no restaurant. Rates are a little high for the quality.

The online photos of this property are entirely misleading... the building is run down and falling apart, the pool was a half filled green science experiment, and the rooms had peeling wall paper, shattered photo frames, and the halls have a horrible musty smell. We were told there would be a $50 surcharge to check in early (despite the hotel being empty), and were not even able to get more than 1 room key. Do not stay here!!

This hotel is a hidden gem that simply needs to be polished. I was honestly impress with all the potential it has and so much value that can be untapped. While I understand that the city may not attract multitudes of tourists if a good campaign is done it can shine again. The hotel has some amazing facilities built in like an outdoor pool, sauna, a display of an spectacular 50 years old hand made train made by locals that kids can turn on (which oddly enough the last publication showed it is 40years old, just because it was printed 10 years ago). The breakfast was just good enough as some fruits and protein options would simply make it great. in our room the washrooms could be cleaned better as well.

When we got to the hotel the front stairs were all crumbling, English was not their strong suit, we were told the pool and whirlpool were closed after it presented that it was open. We got into the room, the bathroom smell like sewage, there was splatter of paint on the floor, whomever finished the bathroom walls and seems need to change their profession. The beds were hard as rock, and the tv was snowy all the channels. Also the side of the curtains were off the rod. Very dodgy place. Don't believe the pictures on their advertisements.

We’ve stayed at a lot of Ramada hotels but this 1 was horrible. They called and asked us if we wanted a ground floor. Said it’s the exact same room and it wasn’t. Room was dirty. Hair on the bed and towels. Room smelled. The pool was empty. I was to have 2 queen beds and a pullout couch for my husband, my 4 kids and me. Our room had 2 queen beds. They gave me another room so we had 2 rooms but it was down the hall. So we had 2 separate a parent in each room with kids.
What a disappointment.
The door handle was broken on our patio door, mold in the bathroom, wifi didn’t work. I would never recommend this hotel. They said well you only paid $60 for the room I said no I paid $90.

The overall condition of this hotel was very rundown. We had blood stains on a pillow case, a moldy shower curtain and cobwebs in the corners of our room. Stains on all of our towels. The girl at check in was very pleasant. But this hotel was definitely not worth the money.

We are still on disbelieve of the condition of this “Hotel” is most like a scene of a horror movie, since you arrive to the property it looks abandoned, dirty and old, at the moment we thought that was only the outside was bad since this place is beside the road… I have to say that the lady on the reception was very nice and polite, then she give us the card key of our room and guide us to the back of the property since was an easy access to our room, she mentioned that the pool was out of service which was a disappointment for us but anyway we say is just one night…. We went to the back, our room was in the third floor and what a shock discovering that the back door was open with no lock on the door, we climbed the stairs and they were dirty with leaves and some dead insects, arrived to the third floor and we’ll, no access key needed how come is not security on this property?… anyway we still feeling positive and just needed to rest and take a nice “bath on the Jacuzzi”
We entered the room and the carpet was filthy and they were some dark spots, the carpet was ripped close to the washroom, was a huge smell of mold, so the standing shower has mold and was so unpleasant, they were insects inside the room, the bed looks old and again disgusting, room was dark even after turning on the lights, we approached to the “dirty balcony” just to witness the pool at the back full of mold, yellow disgusting water and besides the balcony being dirty, there was NO lock on the door a metal

I would say to not plan on utilizing their breakfast, luckily there are options across the road. Bed was comfy, room was clean, does need some maintenance updating - black caulking around tub, cracked floor tiles in bathroom that scrape your feet, but overall we would return as it was clean and comfortable, we didn’t use it for much other than a place to sleep. Appeared to be a tad understaffed as was waiting over 10min for an entry card issue due to staff availability and also only 2 main doors to enter into with card. Quiet area, friendly staff and comfortable room, across from truck stop with many food options and a store as well.

The pool they showed was closed for construction and they should have mentioned that in their website.
Also the building was in overall disrepair. Paint was flaking off the ceiling in the bathroom and there was visible water damage. The beds were like bouncing hammocks and had no support.

The pool and sauna were not in use, even though the hotel advertises these amenities both on their website and on the sign out front. Staff falsely claimed the hotel was fully booked and said they couldn’t provide us with a room with a balcony, despite the hotel being nearly empty. As compensation for the unavailable pool, they offered breakfast, but that too was of very poor quality. We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned. Thankfully, they did not charge us for the second night.

Very spacious and clean room. Very nice that room has two chairs to sit on. Usually other hotels has just one. We asked for room with easy access to our door and we got it. Red Squirrel and Chipmunks are living at nearby trees. Nice to see them around! Close to beautiful sunset spot, waterfront with lots of flowers. Three dollar self care Premium Car Wash nearby if you need one. Beautiful Duchesnay Waterfalls trails are 15 min drive away. Western side of the Falls are the best!
