Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!

Fantastic Stay at Björk Guesthouse!

I had an incredible experience at Björk Guesthouse during my trip to Iceland. The guesthouse itself is cozy, comfortable, and very well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.

We had a wonderful stay at Bjork Guesthouse from April 11 to 12. The communication with one of the owners, Alexander, was fantastic. He was responsive and answered all of my questions promptly, providing valuable guidance on where to go and look for the northern lights.

The room we stayed in was very spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the location was convenient for our next stop, making our travel plans seamless.

Overall, I highly recommend Bjork Guesthouse for anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay in South Iceland. Thank you, Alexander, for your hospitality I would definitely recommend your guesthouse to anyone.

The brothers who own the property are so nice! They touched base with us beforehand to tell us our room was ready early. The shower was hot and had perfect water pressure. Room was beautiful and clean with a very comfy bed. The lil’ treat they left for us was a nice touch as well! Will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Laugarvatn.

Despite the property's renovations, there is a pervasive odor of mold that could potentially pose a health risk to guests, suggesting that the mold may be embedded within the building's structure. To mitigate this, we slept with the windows open, and fortunately, our stay was only for one night.

Overall we had a great stay at Bjork Guesthouse and would come back again next time we visit the golden circle. We had some issues with the self-check in process and access to the guesthouse and our room, but the owners were prompt in helping us get in and ensure we could keep getting inside. We had a very comfortable bed with a modern private bathroom.

This property was newly renovated and was very clean and modern. It was a large room with a large bathroom. It had everything you needed to make coffee and had good wifi. The host also greeted me with an excellent chocolate bar that I made last for days. The host was extremely helpful and offered many good suggestions. I highly recommend this place!!!

The main door the the building requires the code to close it. Many other guests did not figure this out and decided to slam the door closed. The resulting noise was heard in our room. Otherwise the guesthouse is great! I loved the comfy bed and large, clean bathroom.

Proximity to the geothermal spa (great cafe with good vegetarian options) and the hostel (nice cafe staff and good vegetarian options) was the draw to this guest house which was convenient to the Golden Circle sites we wanted to visit. We also lucked out and got a clear night to see the aurora borealis.

Stayed here for 2 days - This is not a GuestHouse. This is a Hostel Room or Dorm Room. There is no person on staff at the property. There is no sign outside identifying the property. It is a little bigger than an oversized trailer that has been converted to have 7-8 dorm rooms in it.

The room was not clean, and was not cleaned after we messaged the Property owner and got confirmation that it would be done. The sink and shower don't drain - possibly clogged.

Also, stayed at Bergás Guesthouse in Keflavik. That was a very good experience. For comparison, sakes.

Appears newly renovated. It was in a good location on the golden circle and within a couple of minute drive from Laugarvatn Fontana. Check-in is contactless using a keypad on the door. Rooms were good size. However, there was no microwave in the building or any kitchen/kitchenette to prepare or reheat food. In addition, the drainage from the shower in our room was very poor. At the time of our booking, you got a 10% discount at Laugarvatn Fontana for staying at this place. Overall felt that price was reasonable for accommodation.

Wonderful stay when we needed one last minute.

This was a great stay and very easy and convenient to book. We were camping the ring road and surrounding areas during the shoulder season, and when we discovered the campsite we had chosen was closed, we quickly found the Björk Guesthouse. It was easy to book and instructions were quick and thorough on how to get into the building and our room.
Our only complaints, and they are small, were that the building was hard to find (I think it is a fairly new listing though at the time of writing this, so that should be remedied shortly), and the numbers on the door handle that you need to punch to get into your room are rather small and hard to see. Again, small thing and probably not something that is easily changed or controlled since they didn’t manufacture the door handles. It was just hard to see when coming into the hallway later in the night. We didn’t want to wake anyone up.

The room was nice and had what we needed. There is no one onsite at the building so don't expect any touring help. The night we stayed, there was only us and another couple in the building but they put us right next to each other and you can hear people talking (in normal volume) through the wall. It was very impersonal.
