This is such a pleasant and quirky inn. My 'blue room' was filled with antiques and knick knacks, just like in the pictures. Self check-in was simple and handy. The breakfast, at Cafe Moller next door, was pleasant and varied, with friendly service. Johan, the manager of Cameo, was also quick to respond to any inquiries, and always kept a heaping bowl of fresh fruit in the lounge for guests. That was a lovely extra touch.

i am very familiar to Sweden, especially Ystad and Simrishamn, but that’s not a very important factor, when it comes to why i love that hotel.
I wish there were a way to upload photos and videos to give a more detailed review. First of all, i am a big fan of antics and buildings that have been around for decades, and this building offers that sort of reach into the past vibe. The rooms and hallways are adorned with interesting portraits and posters of artists and celebrities, and it’s one of those places that still use an actual key to access the rooms (there’s a digital entry at the main entrance as well.
Everything is nearby, the city hall, the train station, lots of shops and restaurants, all within 2-15 minutes from the hotel. Do not rent a car. it is simply NOT needed!
I had the privilege to enjoy breakfast at one of the locations where they shot the tv series Wallander (Netflix.) My room
opened into the small courtyard, and it was simply a much appreciated add-on. If you’re a writer and want to have some quiet time to chill or write…this is a place to consider. I will definitely go back, despite having the option to stay with friends and family.

Väldigt mysigt litet hotell. Dock spindelnät på väggen innanför dörren. Iskallt rum (fick sova med två täcken). Väldigt lyhört när någon gick förbi på gågatan utanför och pratade. Gardinerna täckte inte hela fönsterna, så det blev inte helt mörkt när man skulle sova.

Trevlig personal som ordnade frukost innan den egentligen öppnade, ett stort plus!

Dejligt hotel, med central beliggenhed. Meget god service og hurtige svar fra Johan, hvilket er meget værdsat som gæst. Tjek ind var meget fleksibel selv med sen ankomst. Værelserne er hyggelige, men små, til gengæld godt indrettede og det er en fordel at man har både et toilet samt badeværelse hver for sig. Der er dog meget lydt, om ikke andet på den gang vi boede på, så man skal helst ikke være for støjsensitiv. Desuden har hotellet ikke sin egen morgenmad/cafe/restaurant endnu, og efter at have set udvalget på caféen, hotellet for nuværende har en aftale med, ombestemte vi os og gjorde ikke brug af den inkluderede morgenmad.

Charmigt hotell mitt i Ystad

Ett litet men otroligt charmigt hotell mitt på gågatan i Ystad.
Vi blev uppgraderade av hotellet utan att behöva fråga och utan extra kostnad. Rent och snyggt på rummet och i hotellet. Ett stort plus var att det fanns en separat AC-anläggning på rummet vilket gjorde upplevelsen väldigt trevlig i värmen.

Lite väl dyrt

Betalade 2800 för ett rum men rummet var så litet så vi fick inte plats med väskor, ingen garderob att hänga kläder i. Mysigt rum men väldigt belamrat med prydnadssaker så att inget annat fick plats. Tur att vi har en chihuahua som inte tar stor plats. Tillhörande frukost i café bredvid var inte heller den bästa.

Charmigt litet hotell

Vi hyrde lägenheten högst upp på vinden. som passade våra behov väldigt bra. Eftersom det är ett gammalt hus så saknas hiss och trapporna är lite besvärliga så det är inget för den rörelsehindrade. Det knakar och knarrar och ingenting är rakt, men som sagt ett gammalt anrikt hus så det är som det är. Frukosten serveras i angränsande Möllers café och den var inte så bra. Saknas exempelvis apelsinjuice och vanligt morgonte samt att det varma var intorkat och smaklöst. Hotellet ligger väldigt centralt och nära till allting. För den som har bil så är det lite besvärligt med parkering i det centrala Ystad men som jag förstod så har hotellet en privat parkering som vi dock inte nyttjade. Jag skulle inte kalla det här ett lyxigt boutique hotell men väl ett charmigt litet hotell mitt i stan.

Unikt hotell

Fint boutique hotell med rum alla olika inredda. Fin inredning även i gemensamma utrymmen. Parkering tillgänglig. Frukost på caféet bredvid, denna var helt okej. Smidig incheckning för du får instruktioner via SMS och sedan sköter incheckningen själv.

Inför vår övernattning hade vi vakt rum utifrån eget tycke och smak samt det enda rum som hade balkong. Inför att vi skulle komma meddelas vi att vi fått en uppgradering, detta till ett större rum som då har kul, frys, mikro mm. Rummet har uteplats men ingen balkong. Vi sa att vi ville behålla vårt valda rum men fick då som svar att det var uthyrt till någon annan. Som kompensation skulle vi få en flaska bubbel. Vi valde att stå på oss i detta och fick slutligen vårt rum och bubbel. Tanken var säkert god men en hotell där varje rum är unikt inredda gör ju också att man i regel väljer rum redan när man bokar utifrån att det är det specifika som man önskar. Detta var dessutom vår bröllopsdag vilket hade förmedlats.

Rummet var väldigt fint men städningen var sådär. Flera hårstrån på golv, matta och toalett. Fimpar som inte städats undan i en kruka på balkongen.

Inredningen överlag var dock fantastisk!

Toppenhotell med bra läge

Mysigt hotell med fint inredda rum, lyxkänsla.
God frukost på kaféet bredvid, både varm och kallt serverades.
Mycket trevlig personal som gjorde det lilla extra. Bokade med kort varsel och fick tillgång till rummet tidigare. Johan ordnade uppgradering av rummet då vi bokat ett litet rum men kom med massa väskor :)

Ett favorit hotell

Ett mysigt hemtrevligt hotell. Unika fina rum som är välstädade.
Ingen personal i reception hela tiden men man får alla instruktioner via SMS och nycklar och koder, det fungerar mycket bra.

Ett bra val i Ystad!

Innan ankomst fick vi bra information från Johan kring incheckning och parkering. Johan såg även till att ordna gratis parkering till oss vilket var uppskattat. Rummet var rent och fint intrett. Toalett och duschutrymme var fräscht. Hotellets läge var väldigt bra. Frukosten serverades på caféet i huset bredvid. Bra frukost och det fanns möjlighet till glutenfria alternativ. Smidig utcheckning!

Tre helger på Cameo: Mycket nöjd!

Bodde på Cameo under tre olika helger i maj månad och bodde därför i tre olika rum. Gillade verkligen inredningen och upplevelsen jag fick varje helg, det var inte som de hotellrum man annars ser på kedjornas ställen där det är alltid likadant. Hade bra kontakt med hotellpersonalen inför varje tillfälle och incheckning/utcheckning fungerade smidigt, löste det själv med kod då jag anlände ganska sent. Maten var på restaurangen/cafeet precis bredvid och öppnade kl.07 på lördagar och kl.08 på söndagar, en helt ok frukostbuffé med det mesta man behöver.

Tycker det var prisvärt och nästa gång jag är i Ystad kommer jag garanterat tillbaka hit.
