The shower was new. Bathroom was very small - hard to get around the door to get in. Room was clean. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Room was very small - no place or even pegs to hang things on. The rug was probably vacuumed but was terribly dirty looking and stained. We have stayed in this motel before but apparently in a larger king room and it was fine. But the size of the room and the rug made this room quite undesirable. The breakfast was fine - fresh yogurt and fresh bagels were very nice. Staff were good. Overall there are places that need to be fixed up/repaired and painted.

Next door very noisy starting at 1:30am until 5:00am. Light outside room stayed on all night keeping room too light to sleep. Front office very friendly and informative. wish the lobby was open to sit and have coffee before leaving at 7:00Am. Smokers outside my room they should be off premises.

The shower didn’t work. The deadbolt on the door didn’t work. There were someone’s whiskers on the side of the sink.There were specks of crumbs of some sort in the bed. Only decaf available for coffee in the morning. Staff was friendly when we got there but arrived late and so there was no one to call when we realized we couldn’t shower. Not such a great experience. There was a bed and heat so we at least had that.

Good value in Farmington

The hotel was conveniently located on a main road. The room was a bit outdated but it was a very good value. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn't get to try the breakfast as we were off hiking very early. The woman at the desk when we arrived was very pleasant, efficient, and got us checked in quickly.

It was clean and maintained. Only stayed for one night. The Continental breakfast left something to be desired. Coffee was Keurig so each cup was fresh.
Staff were friendly.
Parking lot was neat and maintained.
They did not leave enough bedding. 5 adults. Luckily I had a nice blanket in my car because the office is not 24 hours.
I would stay there again should I find myself in that area again.

The room was dated, but clean. I had to relocate due to a toilet valve malfunction, but that was no big deal. Their breakfast time is late, and short, but there is food nearby. I don't expect Hilton style accomodations, just a comfortable bed, shower, and a TV with sufficient channels to watch while unwinding. The place works for me.

The breakfast consists of cereal,milk. Breads and yougart. One keurig to share , coffee one at a time. No large coffee canister. Missing cups . No one at desk to help ,we had to call for assistance. The bath sink was so cloged only held 1/2 cup water and over flowed. Maintenance fixed it that day, within one day it stopped upagain. Bed was uncomfortale. As well.

An excellent inexpensive option for us. It's an old strip motel, but has been rehabbed to be clean and comfortable budget stay. Nice restaurants drivable distances. Don't count on disc tv though. THis part of Maine doesn't have good coverage, but if you need a place in Western Maine/Farmington area, this is fine.

There was no one there when we arrived at 2:30 so we left and came back at 7:30 and still no one. We eventually had to call someone to let us in our room. The next morning no one was there to have breakfast ready. By this time my wife was saying that this was the 3rd worst hotel ever. And to think I was there a couple of months back and had a good stay.

However, dark area to park and no outside light...had to walk aways to get to room. Very dated and dim lighting. Had to go to office for enough towels...told us continental b'fast in morning. But in morning we discovered shower had no curtain, no bathmat, and impossible to open plastic pouch of shampoo. No staff at office, door was locked, so no continental breakfast available!

It was clear that there is a lack of staff. I sometimes expect that when arriving late an office might be closed. To that end we purposely arrived mid afternoon to a closed office. The room was available and clean, so in those respects we are quite satisfied with Mount Blue Motel.
We had hoped to see staff present by the time we left at 8 am but did not.

The hotel is certainly dated, which is both a blessing and a detraction. If someone is looking for modern, roomy, level and well laid out, this place is not for you. On the other hand, it is a reminder of how hotels used to be. The place serves it's purpose and has what is needed to provide a place to sleep, shower, and retreat from outdoor activities. The breakfast nook opens too late (8am) for me. Then again, Dunkin's is only a half mile away! The staff splits time between two properties so immediate face to face is not always possible. Still, it works, in an \"old Maine\" way.

It’s about 45-50 from sugarloaf and an hour from Sunday river. The place is in average condition for a cheap motel. Not nice but not dirty. Whatever. I’ve stayed here twice and would again. It’s clean and works for me, a cheapskate who’s not wanting to do much besides shower and sleep at my accommodations. I wish the room had a microwave.

We stayed here the night before a ski day. We checked in late to our room. The host left us a note that they were gone for the night and left our room unlocked for us. The bathroom and sheets were nice and clean. The carpet is old and the room is a bit dated. I thought there was breakfast but maybe it opened after we left at 6:45 am to head to the mountain. We would stay there again. The price was right, it was safe and clean enough. Thanks!

0 stars do not stay here, we booked a 2 night stay and nobody was there to check us in when we arrived. Their office hours said between 8 am -10 pm and checkin time was between 3pm-10pm. We arrived at 4pm and waited hours for someone to show up at the office and both numbers left on the door to call were left unanswered. We were forced to stay somewhere else for the night. The next day we returned in the morning to see if anyone was in the office, but nobody was. Then on our way home from skiing sugarloaf around 3 pm the next day still nobody. I am considering taking legal actions.

Staff did not show up for check in. I called the phone numbers taped to the front door and received no call back. I requested help from Expedia CSR. They didn’t answer the CSR either. I was left with filing for a refund and finding another place to stay. The hotel decided the slights of not answering the door or posted phone numbers were not enough and refused to refund my 5 night booking.
I am considering legal action regarding their fraudulent actions.

I booked my stay based on reviews, so I'm going to give it to you straight. The young woman who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. That's the only nice thing I can say. The room was so malodorous that it made me ill, and I had to escape right after checking in and didn't come back until it was time to go to sleep. My plans to sit in my room and work had to be scrapped. I thought of asking to change rooms but from the looks of things, I figured all the rooms were in the same condition.
The carpet was old and I can't imagine when it was last cleaned thoroughly. Everything was old and worn out in the TINY room and there was an actual hole in the wall. As for amenities, I was provided with two minuscule bars of soap and shampoo in a tiny envelope. The sheets at least looked clean, but I didn't dare to pull up the blanket or comforter. It was one of those situations.
I've stayed at a lot of motels and this is nowhere near the \"cute\" \"retro\" experience you might be hoping for. They ought to charge half of what they are charging, but with hotel prices going up everywhere you might be tempted, like I was, by its relatively low price. Don't stay here unless you want to be miserable.
I should also add that if you are a woman traveling solo, as I was, you do NOT want to stay here. The other travelers I saw could only be described as sketchy at best. I didn't sleep at all and finally escaped at 5am and went and spent my morning at a Dunkin' Donuts until I had to go to my job
