Old world charm, great location courteous staff.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, had single room with huge balcony and seating for 6 or more, checked in 8pm reception very polite, hotel old and charming loads of character. the lido is pleasantly quiet after a day in venice central tree lines streets 6 min walk from ferry terminal to hotel along a charming canal, would and will stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel, close to the beach, very cosy-looking from the outside, a beautiful building. The floor in the room, however, was dirty, there were foreign women hairs in the towels, at a different length as compared to the guest’s hair length. The temperature in the room was extremely low and it was impossible to fix it on your own by manipulating the air-conditioning. As a whole, it wasn’t a good experience.

Great little boutique hotel, close to the beach and restaurants, walkable from the ferry terminal. Our \"double\" bed was a little uncomfortable, as it was two singles pushed together, but it worked well for us for the price, and the breakfast was great!

Lido is a great spot for your hotel. Easy water taxi access between Lido and Venice and other islands. This hotel was a quick 10 -15 minute walk to the taxi. 2 blocks from the beach area. Friendly staff nice room. AC was not working in our room but our night weather was comfortable

The location is rather convenient, 15 min. walk to Lido SME vaporetto stop, which is also reachable by frequently running bus. From SME in 30 minutes you can reach San Marco, Piazzale Roma bus terminal and other main locations. The neighborhood is quite and picturesque, with Festival Palace nearby.
The single room is VERY small, with basic furniture and without table, while on other hand there are some unusable pieces of antique furniture... Bathroom is convenient, with enough light and space. Towels are changed, if you leave them on the floor, otherwise just folded, even if they are obviously dirty. Some towels already from beginning had stains and holes... The conditioning system is weird, so anyhow the window has to be left open for more fresh air. The wi-fi is constantly malfunctioning, unfortunately.
Overall - for an extremely expensive city this is a reasonably prised choise, if you're not to busy on schedule and allow a certain time for travel.

Good location in Lido. Quiet, 1 min from beach, 15 mins walk to restaurants and bars. Classic Venetian decor but somewhat tired. Breakfast good but spoiled by awful coffee. Good room size, large en-suite. Hard bed and flat pillows.

Nice hotel in the Lido a quiet area of Venice.

Enjoyed the proximity to old Venice. Enjoyed the water taxi rides to the various areas of Venice and the ride to the airport by the water bus. Gondola ride through the crowded canals of Venice was also a unique experience. Would stay there again in the future.

my expedia itinerary said \"continental breakfast included,\" When I got there, they said it wasn't. I called expedia and they called the hotel are were told that \"continental breakfast included\" didn't mean they didn't charge for it.

I'd stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 years ago and was happy. This time the staff was not particularly friendly. Nothing terrible, just not ideal. The hotel is off the beaten path about a 15 minute walk from the vaporetta stop. I like being in a quiet location, and being near the beach is nice.

Great place

Quiet and Convenient, Close to the Beach

A wonderful beach getaway. Location was great for beach access and an easy walk to main shops and cafes. Bed was HARD, and two single mattresses pushed together, but otherwise well worth the price. The gentleman at the desk on check in was wonderful and room was ready early. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but from the buffet it looked tempting.

Some would say 'character', I would say old & damp

The hotel is well located 5 minutes from beach and 20 min walk from ferry. Strangest hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff were very helpful and overall room was clean. However, hotel is very old and tired. Downstairs decor is very dated, corridor outside room had damp marks and mold. Inside the room the wardrobes were wall papered, sockets loose and wires hanging down behind the bathroom mirror. Wifi available but didn't work for longer than a minute without losing coverage. We didn't see any other guests and the hotel had an eerie feel. Can't fault staff who were helpful and allowed us to print off our boarding passes.

The perfect retreat in Venice

This was the nicest hotel we stayed at for the whole of our 2-week trip in Europe (France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany) in which we booked a variety of hotels (all of them good) in this price range.

The basics were all up to standard (comfort, cleanliness, service). I read one or two negative reviews of the breakfast; however, we found the generous buffet wich you eat in the hotel's large walled garden very good value. The location and the character of the building and surroundings were perfect: a 1930 villa in a large private garden on the quiet street (Via Lepanto) that runs down the centre of the Lido. The hotel takes you back to a more leisurely and spacious age and is real find - a survival, certainly not a kitsch revival. It is a pleasant ten-minute walk to the Grande Vialle and the Vaporetto pier.

As for the Lido generally, unless you really must stay in the historic centre, it is the perfect retreat: an unhurried atmosphere, a more local character, and yet only 15 minutes by vaporetto from San Marco. The Lido with is also worth exploring for its own sake.

Wonderful architecture on Lido, Venice. Rooms are nicely decorated, functional and clean. There were problems checking in due to some confusion of the staff. Breakfast setup was lovely in the garden but service was somewhat chaotic.

Could be a 4 star hotel. We would go back there any time in spite of the mishaps.

Hotel with old world charm

Beautiful old hotel with heaps of character and charm. I had a very large room with large windows on two sides. I also had a large bathroom with a window and a bath. The staff were really helpful and helped me with my ongoing travel plans. I did not eat any meals there so can't comment on that side of things. The hotel is two minutes walk from the beach but about 15 minutes walk from the Venice ferry if you have suitcases. This is avery good, spacious, quiet and cheaper alternative to exploring Venice.

My friend and I loved this place! The Island of Lido is quiet and mellow vs the busy streets of Venice. I have nothing but wonderful experiences from this hotel. It's a short 10 minute walk from to the main shops in Lido and the Fiery. The staff is so helpful and even walk our belongings up the stairs. And Free WiFi! I am coming back to this hotel when I visit Venice.

Amazing place

It was very nice! But the breakfast was expensive. The hotel is all antique that makes it nicer! You need to walk from the boat station between 10-15 minutes. It is locate at Lido, between 25 minutes by boat to San marcos where is the happiness! And the nicest place from vencia. The elevator is so little. I will stay again

Very poor service and overcharging

I was told by hotel personal that breakfast was free, even then i was charged for 24 Euro. I have requested for early check-in, inspite rooms were vacant and ready still I was not given. The room was smelly and towel was in a very bad state even torn. The hotel is very far of port Lido. The hotel requires renovation. The hotel staff is very uncooperative and very poor service. It is worse service which I ever experience.

First timer in Italy

Pretty Place

Loved staying here! The breakfast was extraordinary, both it's offerings and setting in the patio area.
The location was quite and relaxing. The walk to the ferry along side the little canal was pretty and easily done, except for one very hot afternoon when the walk felt too long.
The rooms we had did not have balconies and thus we were left with shutters that would not open (an alarm would go off!) which was disappointing in such a pretty area.

Quiet location on Lido about 15 minute walk from vaporetta stop with easy access to Venice. Clean and comfortable, especially the bed! Breakfast quite adequate. Certainly good value and would definitely recommend and consider using again. One restaurant, bar & shops around the corner and others 10 minute walk away.

Charming hotel in a quiet nice

Charming hotel in a quiet nice area on Lido outside Venice. It is not the place to enjoy top luxury but excellent for a romantic weekend or week at the seaside. We appreciated the many table and chairs available in the garden, but why on earth were we not allowed to bring the breakfast with us outdoor? However, we will return.

Charmant hotel ! La literie est tres confortable. Chambre dans le style vénitien avec une petite salle de bain moderne et correctement équipée. La clim ne semblait pas fonctionner mais nous ne l'avons pas signalé puisque les fenêtres traversantes nous permettaient de faire circuler l'air. Le personnel est très agréable. Il y a des tables devant l'hotel dans leur très joli jardin. Nous n'avons pas essayé le petit dejeuner donc n'avons pas de remarques à faire à ce sujet.
L'hotel est situé sur l'ile du Lido à environ 10 minutes de marche du vaporetto, l'île a une atmosphère calme et reposante. L'ile est accessible en une quinzaine de minutes du centre de Venise, selon où vous montez dans le vaporetto et les passages sont tres reguliers.
La plage est egalement à deux pas de l'hôtel mais il faisait un peu trop frais pour en profiter lors de notre sejour.
Nous avons apprécié le sejour et recommandons cet hotel !

Eigentlich suchte ich nach einem Hotel in Venedig, aber da die Preise sehr hoch waren, suchte ich so lange weiter, bis ich auf das Hotel in Venedig Lido stiess. Was für ein Glück! Im Vergleich zur Innenstadt ist es in Lido wunderbar ruhig, schöne Villen, der Strand ist nah, und wenn man wirklich in die Stadt will, ist man in ein paar Minuten mit dem Boot dort.
La Meridiana, ist ein schönes Gebäude, sehr freundlicher Empfang, mein Zimmer war sehr ruhig im hintersten Eck des Hauses im obersten Stock. Sehr sauber, Bett bequem, gutes Wlan ( Verbindung mit QR Code), Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Duschkabine etwas eng, man muss das Wasser einige Zeit laufen lassen, bis es warm wird, aber dann sehr gut.
Freundliche, hilfsbereite Dame an der Rezeption, guter Restaurant-Tipp und Hilfe bei der Reservation. Sehr gerne wieder La Meridiana.

Wie man sich den Lido vorstellt, gediegen, etwas altmodisch, elegant. Das Zimmer (mit Kühlschrank) war geräumig und wie das ganze Haus ruhig gelegen. Das Bad im Stil des Hauses.
Parken im Hof kostet 15€/Tag. Frühstück gibt es im Garten. Sehr freundliches Personal. Strände - zum Großteil gegen Bezahlung für Liegen, Schirme, ev. auch Kabinen, sind wenige Minuten entfernt, man kann aber auch ohne Bezahlen an freien Stränden ins Meer.

Pulito. Silenzioso. Parcheggio libero nelle strade circostanti l’hotel. Piccolo parco antistante la struttura. Stanza molto piccola e tuttavia gradevole e ben tenuta con balconcino. Prese di corrente vicino al letto, anche usb. Bagno senza bidet ma nuovo con scarichi puliti (spesso l’acqua nella doccia non scende e il soffione è pieno di calcare). Mancavano ganci per appendere gli asciugamani e piani d’appoggio. Courtesy set adeguato. Sembrava che ci fossero problemi al bagno della camera assegnataci e, scusandosi, ci hanno proposto un’altra accomodation (in un 4*, che in realtà erano 3), in seguito ci hanno detto d’aver risolto, quindi abbiamo soggiornato lì. Gentili e cortesi fino a che, in seguito a loro richiesta, non abbiamo fatto notare che il servizio colazione aveva delle pecche. A quel punto la proprietaria e la cameriera si sono offese (“sono cose che capitano”). Ci hanno fatto pagare 1 colazione invece di due (10€ e non 12, come richiesto in un primo momento, dato che ho segnalato che su hotels.com il prezzo indicato era il primo e non il secondo).

On a beaucoup aimé le calme de l'hôtel et son jardin, le défaut c'est d'être un peu loin de l'embarcadère du vaporetto.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die Zimmer sind schön, das Frühstück gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Man wohnt geruhsam auf dem Lido, ist in 5 Minuten am Strand und zu Fuß und mit dem Boot in 30 Minuten auf dem Markusplatz. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da und kommen sicher wieder.

Nice place!

Hienoa oli, että huone vaihdettiin heti, kun se oli mahdollista, vaikken ollutkaan ilmoittanut siitä, etten kovin ole mieltynyt portaisiin pölviproteesinin vuoksi(tavallaan oma moka, kosken ilmoittanut jo varauksessa) ja henkilökunta oli erittäin miellyttävää ja palveluhenkistä!

Все очень понравилось. Сначала нам правда дали номер не на троих а на двоих но потом сразу все исправили. Во втором номере оказалась ванна которая очень понравилась. В номере было чисто и тепло. Завтрак тоже очень хороший.
