I was told the check-in time would be 14:00 and it turned out to be 15:00, and the room was lacking tissues in the dispenser and was quite hot. But the location is stellar, so overall I really appreciated my stay.

Overall our stay was very enjoyable, and I will more than likely go back. However, after arriving at 1am due to a delayed flight we fell into a very comfortable bed only to be rudely woken at 5.30am by the sound of banging doors which shook the building. The doors continued to slammed 2 hrs or so. Looking down into the hotel carprk a dozen or so licra clad cyclist were unloading bikes from 2 vans. The door banging then began to make sense as EVERYONE knows how selfish, arrogant, and I'll mannered cyclists are. I believe if a night porter or similar had been situe the arrogance of the cyclists could have been addressed.

Great location with stunning views but the hotel was very tired. Even though there was drinks facilities they were very limited. It consited of a kettle that you had to plug in at floor level, 1 tea bag, a selection of coffee 3 sachets and no milk.
The mini bar was a fridge that wasn't plugged in. The jacuzzi bath was huge but took forever to fill and came with no instructions.
The toilet was useless at flushing. The buttons were missing to flush.
1 pillow each and just 1 thin sheet for bedding.
We had booked the honeymoon suite too has it was my husbands 50th.

No one there to check me in. There is zero signage for late check in. If it wasn’t for the sweetest French couple trying to check in at the same time, I would have never been able to figure out what to do. Definitely will have to improve on my language skills.That said it may be partly my fault but I feel like the hotel could use some help in the information department.

Great location, hotel a bit run down

Fantastic location and views in a nice stone building standing literally above the river. We had superior double with view right over river to the rock. The room had no aircon but the ceiling fan worked well to keep the room cool. Room itself a bit disappointing, overall cleanliness was OK but the floor, windows and shower grout looked like it needed a good clean. Public areas of the hotel also seemed slightly grubby and unloved. Public car park right outside the hotel, which was busy and if this was full up I am not sure how easy it would be to find other parking nearby. Continental breakfast reasonably good.

Amazing mountain and river view!!!. staff was overly friendly but rooms were really small.

The toilet is small, even for an average size adult..

Not many rooms had balconies, so make sure to request the proper room size.

Unpleasant experience

It was a terrible smell in the room. The room furniture and the bathroom is very outdated and need a makeover. We couldn’t sleep because of noise from outside and inside the hotel. Very unpleasant experience.

Very Very Tired

Had to double-park in a pay car park to offload then drive to another to park. No staff free to help. Given key at the bar and had to find our room. Not affected WiFi code till asked for some hours later
Didn’t eat there as it smelled dirty and there was a lot of dust.
Despite hot weather, couldn’t use outside area as it was cordoned off for being dangerous.
Sink in the room but toilet down the corridor.
Staff cheerful enough, bearing in mind the conditions.
Perfect location which needs huge investment to bring it to the 21st century.

Incredible views, friendly staff, needs an update

Here’s the thing; technically this is not a very good hotel. The rooms need refurbishing and a more attentive cleaner... and I got stuck in the lift.

However, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and were extremely patient with our poor French. Also, it is incredibly cheap, especially when you take into account the view afforded you at breakfast and dinner.

I think I would stay here again, perhaps without kids this time, though, because of the small rooms.

One night stay on the way to Spain

Stayed one night and we got one of the rooms with a spectacular view and just that is worth the admission. The place is pretty basic, but we got everything we needed for the one night stay. Staff was very helpful considering we don't know any French. Happy customer overall.

Served a purpose

Great location and friendly service (we arrived late and they were very accommodating of our needs). The hotel itself is very noisy- the sound insulation was almost non existent - I could hear someone snoring a few rooms away and you’ll hear every toilet being flushed, doors closed etc. Also our room was damp and had mould on the ceiling. The hotel definitely needs some money spending on it but it served the purpose we needed it to, ie a cheap bed for the night, no frills. Not sure i’d stay there again though.

Good stay in historic Sisteron

Good service. We were very late due to having to avoid a bad summer \"bush fire\" and we were able to order a supper over the phone which was left in our room. Good view of historic Sisteron and the River Durance.

Nice hotel, good location

Great location in Sisteron and amazing views. Old building means quirky access and facilities but that was fine with us. Sisteron was OK, unfortunately we missed the citadelle as it closed at 6pm. Parking was in public parking adjacent hotel, we were able park motorcycle outside entrance.

Le personnel est sympathique et la restauration copieuse en revanche j ai passé 3 nuitées et aucun service nettoyage Durand les 3 jours …la chambre est restée telle quelle en rêvant le soir… a la réception on mm informe sur si la femme de ménage passe elle ne fait pas les lits !! Je n y retournerai pas car vraiment déçu du service en chambre

Malgré ma note j ai bien aimé, mes reproches sont objectifs mais ne m ont pas pas derazgé personnellement.
C' est humide, ca se voit sur les murs par exemple ; un peu froid aussi, ceci dit il faisait -2 dehors et une fois dans mon lit j etais bien.
L eau chaude tres bien.
C' est un peu oldschool, la SDB est cheap, les portes tapent contre le lit, le lecteur de carte marche 1 fois sur 2 et la tv est bizarrement positionnée et la telecommande fatiguée (quand meme toutes les chaines marchent sans probleme) ; plein de petit trucs comme ca.
Donc si vous voulez impressionner Madame n y allez pas.
Ceci dit si c est solo et en etape sportive ou boulot, ce sera très bien d autant qu il y a des points positifs.
Super bien positionné, vue sur la Durance ou la Citadelle.
Parking inclus.
Pas tres cher.
Restaurant plutot bon et rapide.
Petit dej correct, le chocolat chaud bon et les croissants très très bons.
Personel sympathique de jour comme de nuit.
Bâtisse charmante, voyage dans le temps.
Voila, si je repasse j' y retournerais..

Chambre standard très bien à petit prix, rénovée, propre, grand lit très confortable, salledebain avec wc et douche et surprise une petite cuisine toute équipée derrière un rideau coulissant. Belle salle pour le petit-déjeuner qui est bon et complet pour 11€, excellente tarte des Alpes et belle vue sur le rocher et la Durance

J'ai séjourné deux nuits pour raison professionnelles à l'hôtel la Citadelle.
Séjour parfait! Accueil, service, échange au top!
J'ai pris mes diners sur place, et vraiment je n'ai pas été déçue, merci au chef de cuisine!

Hôtel incontournable à Sisteron

Etablissement très sympathique, vue imprenable sur la citadelle, la Durance et la montagne
Chambre très confortable (la 15) sanitaire complet et propre.
Situé à proximité immédiate du centre ville il permet de visiter et de trouver tout ce que l'on peut souhaiter sans reprendre sa voiture.

La Porte ne s’ouvrait pas entièrement à cause de la table de chevet.
Obligé de l’enlever pour ouvrir correctement et faire un minimum le tour du lit.
Sani-broyeur en guise de toilette.
Pas de siphon dans la douche.
Odeur désagréable dans la salle de bains.

Fantastisk udsigt fra beskidt hotel

Hotel har helt fantastisk udsigt og beliggenhed! Uovertruffet!!! Hotellet har et fantastisk potentiale.
Derfor er det dobbelt ærgerligt at værelset har så møgbeskidte gulve i tilsyneladende nyerere renoveret værelse. Gulvene bliver tilsyneladende aldrig vasket. Kun støvsuget. Der var skimmel i alle gulvets samlinger. ØV!!!

Mitt i byn men smutsigt hotell

Läget är idealiskt men extremt varmt rum som saknade fläkt eller aircon. Det var även smutsigt på golven så man fick ”sopa av” fötterna innan man kunde lägga sig. Restaurangen var bra också

Mérite un large détour

un hôtel mal restauré par de mauvais bricoleurs.
Une restauration tout aussi nulle.
le PK PUBLIC est payant et très occupé.
Le pire, dés que l'on rentre on a l'impression de déranger.
Bon , la vue sur la Durance est belle, mais on ne passe pas sa journée dans la chambre! Et la télé ne marchait pas.

Hôtel un peu vieillot, mais en cours de rénovation. Chambre pas très grande, mais suffisante pour y dormir une nuit. Bien placé, près de la citadelle et de la Durance. Le parking payant, tout proche, était plein. Il a fallu en trouver une assez loin. L'accueil du soir par une équipe jeune était originale. Le paiement du dîner était dissocié de celui de la chambre.
